They carry all the real brands, like Knoll, and don't mess around with any cheap knock-offs. The only downside is that sometimes it takes a little longer for your order to arrive. But hey, good things come to those who wait, right? Overall, I highly recommend Design Public for anyone looking to spruce up their living space.

Yo, so I bought this rug from Design Public, the Satomi one. It looked dope, but let me tell you, it's been shedding like crazy for six months straight. And it's gotten so thin, it's almost see-through now. I hit up Design Public about it, and they offered me a measly $50 credit for a future purchase. Like, seriously? That rug was a grand, and they can't even do better than that? Don't waste your money on their stuff, they clearly don't care about quality control. Plus, it's a pain to even leave a review on their site. Save yourself the trouble and shop somewhere else.

This store is a total waste of time. There are so many other places to buy "design" stuff online, and DP is just not worth it. Their customer service is so slow and clueless, it's like they don't even care about their customers. And when something arrives broken, they just blame the manufacturer or the shipping company and don't take any responsibility. I've been buying stuff like this for years as a designer, and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. I wouldn't even give them one star if I could. Stay away from this place!

So, I was looking for a Cane-line outdoor sofa and found out that Design Public was one of the few vendors in the USA that had it. I was hesitant to order from them because of the negative reviews and warnings that I had seen, but I decided to give them a chance anyway.

I placed my order and waited patiently for several months for the sofa to arrive. Finally, on December 4th, it arrived. Unfortunately, it was damaged during shipping and arrived in pieces. I was so disappointed and frustrated.

I immediately contacted their customer service number and was given the run-around. I called several times and each time I was told something different. They insisted on replacing the sofa when all I wanted was a refund. It was so frustrating.

After a few days, they contacted me to say that they had refunded me. But, to my surprise, I never received the refund! I paid through PayPal and would have received a notification from PayPal as soon as the refund process had begun. I was so angry and disappointed.

It has been almost two weeks now and still no refund. I have escalated a claim with PayPal to get back the money that is owed to me. I am so disappointed with Design Public and their unethical, dishonest business practices.

I would advise anyone to stay far, far away from this company. They are not to be trusted and their customer service is terrible. Save yourself the trouble and find another vendor for your Cane-line outdoor sofa.

I gotta say, I ain't never had such a bad experience buying something online. I put in an order on Jan 2, 2018, and the dang thing never even shipped! I had to send a bunch of emails to their customer service just to get an update. And even after more than a month, I still didn't get the item, but they already charged me for it! They still charged me over $1,303 in fees for restocking, restorage, shipping, and who knows what else! I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company twice, and now I gotta do it again for the third time. This is just plain ridiculous! I'm even thinking about taking them to small claims court. I mean, who does this kind of thing? I've never had such a terrible experience with a purchase, especially one that never even got delivered! Trust me, y'all better steer clear of this company like it's the plague. And don't just take my word for it - there are plenty of other review sites out there with bad ratings for Design Public.

Instead, I was directed to some links for other items that were not even close to what I had ordered. I was offered an ugly, cheap-looking patio chair for $499 instead of the oak-framed name brand item I had ordered.

I decided to call customer service to find out what was going on. When I asked how they could sell an item, take the price advertised from my account, and then send an email stiffing me without referring to a refund, "Lauren" told me: "We can't complete a sale until we charge your card." I found this response to be ridiculous. According to them, the sale was "completed," but I just didn't get the item. I had to call to get my refund, which was not automatic, even though they cancelled the sale.

As an attorney, I know that this is not just a crappy customer relations practice - it's a breach of contract. If you sell an item and take the money from the customer, and you oversold, that's on the merchant. It's unacceptable to take someone's money and then not deliver the product they paid for.

To make matters worse, I later received an email informing me that the refund to my card would take 3-5 days. This was after I had to call to ask for what should have been automatic once they cancelled the sale. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be shopping with Design Public again.

After reading through other reviews on their website, it's clear that my experience is not unique. Many customers have had similar issues with Design Public, and it's clear that their poor service is not limited to "open box" overselling. If you see a list price on Design Public, take it with a big chunk of salt. I would not recommend shopping with this merchant.

I have a bad experience with this company and will never order anything from them again. I've ordered two chairs from Design Public online furniture store. They took my money and later I received a payment confirmation message and everything seemed fine. One week later they contacted me and said they had only one chair in stock. So I decided to keep one chair and asked them to refund the cost of the second chair. They said ok.
Receive my chair and it was pretty nice, not the best quality, but I was satisfied. I got my chair but never received a refund. Customer service stopped replying ad ignored all my messages. I guess they decided to keep my money.
