Costco tomatoes

I've recently purchased a box of medium "tomatoes on the vine" and when I cut them open, the seeds have already begun sprouting. This is the second box in which this has happened. Can you please contact the manufacturer regarding food safety and recommendations on how to handle this issue? I would like to receive a food safety statement and explanation from the Quality Assurance department as soon as possible as my daughter ate the tomatoes after discarding the sprouted seeds and I read online that the sprouted seeds are toxic and the entire fruit should be discarded (Perdue University). Thank you.

Costco kirkland signature pacific bold coffee, dark, 120 k-cup pods item #1054232

I'm a long time customer of Costco. I've been a member for nearly 20 years and have never run into something with such low quality. I know when I take this back to the warehouse I'll get my money back but I'm sharing this so others don't make the same mistake. I've been getting this product for the last 9-10 months, every other month. The last box I purchased has a defect. So far (about 1/3 of the way through the box) over half of the pods leak. Spilling coffee grounds into my keurig 2.0 (that I also purchased from Costco), as well as into my coffee cup. Upon closer inspection, and after much frustration, I noticed that the heat seal used to seal the foil top to the plastic cup was off centered. Leaving edges that become weak under the slightest of pressure and literally bust open. I've had similar issues with Walmart's Great Value brand on occasion, but never to this extent. I expect a higher level of quality when shopping at Costco, especially when I have to pay to even shop there. Take this as fair warning, not are Kirkland Signature products are good. We may be getting wholesale prices on items, but that doesn't mean we're getting a superior product. We're getting a knock off.

Costco Wholesale Corporation / kirkland signature pacific bold coffee, dark, 120 k-cup pods item #1054232

Our K-cups have been "exploding" filling our cups with coffee grounds and clogging up our Keurig! Very disappointing, we have to put a small hole in the center of our coffee pod to avoid this eruption. We are not getting a superior product, it's a knock off

Costco qunol coq10

Liquid Qunol coq10

I've been using this product for the past 3 years and bought it most frequently at Costco in St. Louis Park MN. My most recent purchase, within about 30 days of 11-28-2017, was to find that the product was from the same manufacturer but in a larger container. It was in a 30.4 oz. container instead of a 20.3 oz container. The box and bottle coloring's were the same and from a marketing point of view it appeared to be the same product in a larger bottle. It was also on sale at about 27 dollars from 30 dollars. This appeared to be a large savings so I bought 3 bottles. In trying to use the product I found the taste very objectionable, almost causing me to gag. I returned 2 of the 3 unused bottles and will struggle through the 1st bottle, unless I find a solution. In trying to determine if I was going to continue with this product I noted that the bottle I have has a Orange Mango Flavor. I also had occasion to buy this at Amazon and in my records I found the flavor to be Orange Pineapple. I also found they had the same container and product available and the today purchase price was 24 dollars making it as good a deal as what Costco had switched to. I have purchased another bottle from Amazon to determine if it is what it used to be and can hopefully put this bad experience behind me.

I would caution the Costco purchasing department to use some care in offering replacement products similar to what they use to sell at what appears to be a better deal. There is no good deal with a surprise or bad product.

Costco cashier - brittany g.

I was purchasing a single item. While I was waiting, I have notice the cashier was acting very rude toward the customer in front of me. The attitude she gave was like she was better and smarter then anyone. During the process of ringing up the customer, she was talking too much with her helper and did not pay attention to what they were doing. When it was my turn to pay for my item. I realize her helper was about to grab my item and place it in another person basket so I grab my item and told him "no". When I turn around to get my changes, the cashier look at me all strange and said "wow". As she hand me the change, she act like I was going to attack. I did not want to cause a scene so I keep my smile, got my change and thanks her. I felt she is very rude and disrespectful without looking at the situation. Her helper did not apologize for his mistake but continue to grab things and keep on running his mouth. A lots of my friends had told that they had bad experience at this Costco. I had shop at this location for the past couple of years and I have seen other customer being treated unfairly and rude by the cashier but I always have an open mind and know that everyone is tired from a long day of work but that does not give them any reasons to be rude. I never had any bad experience until today. If this is the kind of worker Costco hired, I think Costco need to rethink how to train the employees to have a better customer services, especially this cashier, Brittany G.

Costco frozen cod fillets

Bought a packet of the frozen cod fillets to make a fish stew. Found a worm frozen in the flesh... gross, but googled it, and apparently it's a common occurrence. Still freaked my guests out pretty badly! Then upon further chopping I found another worm - not sure if it was the same fillet or not, as I had thawed several for the stew. His it so people weren't further shook, but really makes me doubt my fish purchases at Costco! Is this truly that common? Are there better alternatives? Thanks in advance for your help!

That is interesting; I have never heard of that before! If you still have them you could try bringing them back to Costco with your receipt for a replacement or refund.

Costco kirkland nature's domain turkey and pea stew for dogs

I've been buying this canned dog food for several years and there was a metal tab in tonight's can. Fortunately, I saw it as I was dishing out the food for my two dogs. I'm worried that it could be in more cans. It is sharp and could cause a terrible injury if ingested. The number on the bottom of the can is P7DS1YO1713A 12:22 Best by Oct 17, 2019

Costco rudest worker at costco (everett, ma)

I've been coming here for years and all was well but on 11/26/17 around 11am, I encountered the rudest customer service worker I've ever met in my entire life. He was supervising the self-check out line at that time. I was scanning my items and placed the first item on the tray as instructed by the machine. When I placed the second item (bag of rice) on, the voice came on again to say something, but I couldn't hear before this man abruptly charges over in the rudest tone telling me not to put the rice on the tray. Listen, I do not work at Costco. It will take me time to process what the machine is saying. This piece of work had the nerve to say to my face (exact words) "well if you would f[censor] listen you would hear it!" How can I listen over your screaming?! What an unbelievably rude and cocky person! And he chooses to work in customer service? This is absolutely unacceptable. Who does he think he is, speaking to someone like that, especially a paying customer! He continued to talk under his breath after I cussed him out in return (probably too much of a wuss to say something back to me huh?!?!). If I see this man again at Costco, I am getting his name and reporting him officially. If anyone goes to Everett's location, AVOID THIS MAN! He is a miserable white man in his 30s (probably late 30s, but I might even think early 30s b/c he's probably just aging like moldy cheese), short hair (like no style - basically a buzzcut if you let it overgrow), with glasses. I am not afraid of you. You should be the one crapping your pants because I will not let this go. I will come again and again and report you every single time until you get FIRED. I WILL COME FOR YOUR LIFE!

Costco verbal attack in costco parking lot by cart attendant

11/26/2017 at approximately 3pm Costco parking lot Colorado Springs East #1014 my husband, toddler son and I were walking through the parking lot after purchasing our items and mostly to our vehicle. Our very short 22 mo old son was standing in the cart like many kids- my husband holding his body and me holding his hands. Then a Costco employee yelled at my son from across the parking lot constantly telling him to sit down. He then proceeded to walk towards us-still yelling- and when he got to us he stood in front of our cart preventing us from moving and lectured us on how Costco was "his house, his rules" and my child needed to get down. He created such a scene that I had to take my son out of the cart and stand behind my husband. Even a passer by in a vehicle came to us afterward to make sure we were ok. This employee was extremely disrespectful to us as parents, customers, and human beings. I understand safety is a priority, and I might have understood if he had come and talked to us politely about his concern, but we as parents are responsible for our child's safety, and he refused to listen to what we had to say about the situation. Instead, he continued to talk over us and lecture us as if we were children. It was humiliating, degrading, and downright uncalled for. In no way was my child in harms way, but this is not remotely the point. The point is that his actions were irrational and uncalled for. I have never been spoken to in that manner by anyone before much less an employee of an establishment I am supporting, and I have never had to file a complaint. My husband and I handled the situation politely and respectfully, but I hope some further action will be taken with this employee. No one should have to sit in a parking lot of a place you just supported and be talked down to like trash. We are upstanding citizens and a respectable family, and this behavior is highly aggravating.

Employee Details: older gentleman, worked 20 years as a firefighter, manning the carts outside at approximately 3pm in parking lot at Colorado Springs east Costco on 11/26/17

Costco customer service. one at the verizon phone sales and the other at the checkout counter.

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy s8 phone on 11/24/17. I inquired about the $300 Costco cash card and the sales person advised me I would receive it in the mail. At home I was reviewing my papers from this transaction and there was no mention of the Costco cash card. Today (11/26/17) I went back to the phone Kiosk and was told the rebate website was down all day on the 24th and that the sales person should have told me and given me some papers on how to obtain a redemption form. This has now been taken care of with great frustration as the sales person did not want to spend time to show me how this new phone worked.

When checking out, I thought I was purchasing a tablet that was on sale as the price was right above the box showing tablets. At check out it was about $300 more than advertised. As one of the cashier reps was checking on the price the person ringing me up did not want to wait for the rep to come back but instead had me sign the tag in order to wait on the next customer telling me if it's different or not what I want he can simply have a supervisor take it off. WRONG, I was told that I now have to stand in another long line at the return counter for this transaction! - If you would like a photo showing the price over the tablets I would be able to send one after going back.

Being disabled and having PTSD I was not a happy camper!

Costco merchandise pickup service

My husband had just gone in to pick up our phone. The wireless assistant gave us our contract and told us to go to merchandise pickup to give them the paper and they'll walk the phone over. We went there and Albert "helped" us. He was extremely rude. Asking if we had paid for the product, we said no, we were told to pick it up. He raised his voice and said we had to our pay for it. We tried to explain we weren't told that but he just kept raising his voice and saying, "you have to pay for it". It was extremely rude and uncalled for.

Costco wireless advocates kiosk and deals

Date : 11/24/2017 Black Friday deal announced for iphones. 250$ cash back card for Costco for iphone 8 purchase . Understandably found a crowd at the kiosk this afternoon.
1. The area seemed in general disorganized as there seemed to be no line for the customers waiting. People just hovered around the reps and interrupted their work and the reps just helped whomever was boisterous enough to elbow in and get in their face first.
2. The manager kept telling me she would help me but them said aloud atleast 5 times that she was clocked out already and could not help . She eventually began to take my info down but as soon as I said I would like to order, she said she had to go and left
3. After insisting that the reps please take people in the order in which they came, I eventually got my turn ! I told the rep I needed to buy two Iphones. She took down the information but was interrupted several times by other employees for help or by customers and finally when she got down to the orders, she was barely able to finish one order after which the computers " went down" or the " systems were down" or so we were told and they told us they could not make any more sales. This was at 6 pm . Although Costco would still be open until 8:30 pm and although the iphone promotional deal should still be on until 8:30, they turned down many customers because of system failure. Many customers like me were halfway through their orders and could not finish the orders because of the system failure
4. The representative told me there were no guarantees the promotion would still be on the next day !

In my opinion the kiosk was understaffed and unprepared for Black Friday sales. ( the reps even joked that this happened on Black Friday last year too!). They were understaffed, overworked and the equipment wasn't updated to efficiently handle the number of sales. A lot of frustrated customers who expect a slightly more efficient service at Costco warehouses left disappointed including myself.
There were deals elsewhere where I could have gone if I had known they were so unprepared and inefficient !

I hereby request that the three hours I spent at the kiosk be taken into consideration with the fact that I was present well in time to benefit from the rebate, they were instock of the iphones, but could not deliver the service because of their computer breakdowns.
I do understand that the phone / wireless kiosk is owned and operated seperately from Costco but given that you approve of it and that customers come to thembecause of the Costco reliability and name, you should please make sure that this is taken care of.
PLease make the offer availabale again tomorrow or please consider the above and let me know as to when this offer would be available again as my order at the kiosk is still incomplete.

Costco tv/computer department

This is a letter that I want to send to them.. To whom this my concern..

I love Costco, I'm happy to have a membership there, I love going there unfortunately I can't control myself I go in for one thing and come out with several things and that I cannot afford. One really great thing about being there is your employees, they do whatever they can do to assist you and with a smile except for 1 department and it has always been like this since I have been a member.

I guess you call it the electronics department it's where you buy TVs, computers, etc it is the worst place out of any store that I have been to I even think in my life, Best Buy, you name the store it is the WORST! I should have complained a long time ago but Tuesday was the last straw. 3 ½ years ago I wanted to buy a 32" Samsung TV it was on sale and it was the first TV that I was going to buy in 19 years, my old one lasted 19 years before it died.

January 2014 I was looking at the TV that I wanted to buy and after 19 years I had some questions about it, I was quite visible where I was standing and there was an associate in the same aisle but the second part of the aisle, across the way and while I was standing there he never came up to me to ask me if I needed any help, then I called out to him asking him if he come over and help me? He did nothing, I had to go up to him and tell him that I wanted to buy a TV but I have some questions and could he come over to help me? Then he copped an attitude, like it was a total imposition for him to help me. I was not happy about this I am buying a product from your store and I need assistance and this is the treatment that I get. I would have gone to another store but Costco has a 2 year concierge service and other places don't.

2 years ago same thing, April 2015 different person, I needed to buy a new computer my old one was 9 years old, technology has passed me by so you can imagine that I would have some questions. I did some research on buying a computer on the internet before I came to the store so I would know some questions to ask it was the same thing, I was visible, no one came by to ask if I needed help, no one responded to me when I called out to them to help me and I again I had to go and ask your employee if he would help me and same thing copped an attitude. But this time was worse he would only reluctantly answer my questions, it was like pulling teeth to get him to do that he was not forth coming at all, I said to myself I'm not going to put up with this, you lost a sale and I bought a computer somewhere else from people that wanted to make sure I knew about the computer enough so that I was making the right choice for me.

This Tuesday November 21, 2017 there was a 49" LG TV on sale for $380, same thing happened I had to go and get the sales associate drag him over to help me so that I could buy that TV, right away copped an attitude, I asked him if he would help me carry the TV to the cash registers and he said that I guess you need I don't know what he called it but it was one of those flat carts to put heavy things on, he went and got it which was good and started to walk away and I said could you help me put this on the cart it's too heavy for me to lift? So there again attitude, he put the TV on the cart and walked away. If the TV was not on sale and didn't have a 2 year concierge service I would have never even bought the TV at your store.

I have gone over to that area multiple times to look at something, had questions and the encounters started out the same way and I walked away. This is a normal practice over there, for 3 ½ years, this is the only department at your store that is this way, what is going on over there, it's the same type people that are working there, are these people working for you or not? It is a terrible experience to go over there it is quite upsetting.

I am a very nice person, even with the way I am treated by your associates I don't turn into a [censor]. I cannot believe that I am the only person treated in this manner, maybe it's just women, I don't know.

Sincerely,

Brenda Roberts

Costco we received the wrong refrigerator.

Order [protected] was delivered on Wednesday November 22, 2017 is not the refrigerator we ordered.
I have been trying to contact Costco online customer service. They say they will call me back in 33 minutes. When the return call does come, a recorded voice says to try again later. This has happened to me 3 times since Wednesday afternoon.
I'm very disappointed in Costco and will have trouble buying such a big ticket item from Costco again.

Costco customer service

While finishing up our shopping for Thanksgivings a co worker and I decided to stop by Costco to pick up pies for dessert. She is also a Costco member. We shared a shopping cart and we went to the self checkout line. The Costco representatives helping customers in the line was very rude and unprofessional to us. She told us "no game playing here" there is no not line crossing here! There was no line crossing taking place we were playing separately not together. She went to her own separate registers. We were both standing in line at the same time. Why would we have to pay on the same register? These are separate transactions. She gave us a very evil look and when back to talk to the other Costco associate who was also rude when I had a difficult time scanning my pie as there is no hand scanner and you have to almost turn your pie upside down to scan it. I asked for her name to report her and she said do you want me to get a manager and she brought over an assistant manager. We explain the situation to her and she agree that the behavior was inappropriate. But I honestly do not think anything was done about it. I wanted to put this is writing and talk to higher ranking manager. We are paying members and we should be treated as valued customer just like everyone else.

Costco solomon beef pastrami

After purchasing a 2pkg of this deli.. I put in fridge and opened a couple days later to find that one side was completely rotten/ moldy the other side was fine.. It seems like the vacuum packaging was prob broken somehow and caused it to rot. I am usually very satisfied with the freshness and quality if Costco products and was therefore pretty disappointed.

Costco tire center

Claim number: #[protected]-GD-01 -Wheel damage claim

On 11/8/17, I took my car to the Costco Tire Center at Southlake, TX to replace all 4 tires; which were ordered a few days earlier at the same Tire Center. The work was done within the promised time, approx. 1hr 15mins. However, upon inspection the Tire Center damaged 3 out of 4 chrome rims; flaking off their chrome coating.

I filed a claim and communicated with Costco's claim dept; emailing many pictures that show different sections of the rims damaged. After some days, the Costco rep called back essentially saying that the chrome peeling is due to "manufacturing defects" and since all chrome eventually peel off over time, Costco will not pay for the damages caused.

For argument's sake, assuming their claim that all chrome eventually peel off, they still should NOT peel off in the matter of a mere TWO HOURS, which was the duration they had my car.

I provided many pictures for the claims personnel (I have her name but this may not be the proper forum to post it); including pics that show the difference between curb rashes which I caused over time driving the car, versus peeling-type damages caused by the Tire Shop's negligence. Yet she refused to admit responsibility.

I look to this Complaint Board to make things right. As I told the Costco claim personnel, I will not stick Costco with damages I caused (i.e. curb rashes), but simply look to Costco to make whole the damages it caused (flaking off chrome finishes).

You have my claim number and hence your Claims Dept has my contact info. I await your response.

Costco costco at raleigh road, san jose, california is not organized at entrance

When I returned one item, the entrance door worker put a return sticker on my return item, then instructed me to step out the entrance door and take another door to go inside again and return my item. So I followed her hand where she pointed to, but the other worker at the other door gave me a dirty look, but no words of what did I wrong. I have no clue what to do or what's wrong. I asked her what's going on, and she just didn't tell me. I finally saw the 'merchandise return' sign which was inside. OMG! I finally realize I should go to a very small third door to line up there.

There are several points that Costco treated me badly:

1. Costco workers are not friendly at all. Instead of giving me help, the second door (which is the exit door) lady who shewas sitting in a wheel chair gave me a dirty look, and that's all I got. No words.

2. The 'merchandise return' sign was inside, and there is no sign or anything outside, but Costco workers expect me to know which door I need to line up at to return my item .

3. If I need to get a 'return sticker' at the entry door, and then I need to step out of Costco building again to find my way to return my item. It doesn't make sense to me at all. Why do I need a 'return sticker'?

4. When I suggest the Costco workers to improve their entrance flow. I suggest to put another 'merchandise return' sign on the outside too, the worker told me they only do this for their busy days. Okay, I guess I have to cope with two different routines for their busy days and non-busy days. Instead of giving customers a clear sign, I have to follow their hand to go wherever they pointed to. You're lucky I didn't just drive back home to buy my items from Amazon or Wal-Mart.

At most what you can do is provide your feedback about the signs (which you did). If enough people feel inconvenienced by it, eventually it will be changed. If you are within a small group that feel negatively about the lack of signs, then it is likely there will be no change.

Costco $1.00 online price on item # ‌1111282‌ - 54" hunter contempo fan with remote, led bulbs & reversible blades

My order [protected] was cancelled because some "BS" about my information posted in the order. In reality they cancelled the order because it was a mistake in the price and they don't have the courage to honor the on-line price of $1.00 on the Item # ‌1111282‌ - Hunter 54" ceiling fan. Today in the afternoon (11/20/2017) they deleted the item from the website and canceled the orders.

It's not that they don't have the "courage" to honor the price, it is that they do not want to take a loss financially on the item. It is common sense that this was a typographical error on the website and it is not very polite of you to try and take advantage of them because of this. The majority of retailers would do the exact same thing. Additionally, the fine print in their terms and conditions on the website cover any potential mistakes such as this.

Costco nature’s domain kirkland brand dog food salmon and sweet potato

Nature's domain Kirkland brand dog food salmon and sweet potato.

The last bag of Kirkland brand dog food I purchased was almost 2 weeks ago. My dog has since developed a severe body rash and hotspots. I would not be concerned with the dog food but a friend of mine whom purchases the same brand and flavor has experienced the same thing in the last two weeks. The coincidence is Disturbing and I'm worried other dogs may be getting sick from the food. I don't know if it's a bad batch of food or if they have change the ingredients.
