Today, August 20, 2025, two men claiming to be representatives from Con Edison came to my residence at 810 Melrose Avenue, Bronx, NY 10451. They stated that a payment was due and insisted that it be made immediately. The 2 men spoke to me in a highly unprofessional and disrespectful manner, particularly toward my wife. When she politely requested a moment to inform me so I could speak with them directly, they were dismissive and continued to pressure her. When I arrived, I asked for verification as their demeanor raised significant concerns and they said if payment was not made, the service would be turn off which they did right away without giving me a chance to explain what I was doing.

Claimed loss: My wife runs a Daycare, TIA LILI FAMILY DAYCARE which was affected by the turn off of the electricity

Desired outcome: would love to sue Con Edison for their lack of respect and professionalism

During the visit, the individuals behaved in a highly unprofessional and disrespectful manner, particularly toward my wife. When she politely requested a moment to inform me so I could speak with them directly, they were dismissive and continued to pressure her demanding immediate payment to them. I asked if we can pay online but they said no, only to them which i did not feel comfortable doing as a result they disconnected the electricity services
