We're pretty sure that if Walmart showed up wayyyy more often on ComplaintsBoard and paid more attention to reviews and complaints, it would lead to better results. But for now, the resolution rate doesn't show successful interaction with customers. We advise reviewers to be careful when communicating with Walmart and be ready for the chance your problem might not get a response. It's also good to start looking for other solutions if your issues aren't fixed as you want.

I completely agree! This walmart is aweful, I've gone to other walmarts around the area and they are so much nicer and the store is stocked and clean! I wish they didn't run Kmart out of business, I'd rather have Kmart here!

Walmart theft

This is in reference to the self check out lanes at walmart which has now costed me and my husband a Theft accusation charge! We were shopping on the 29th of December at the South Point Ohio Store and as it turned out we as well had did our after Christmas gift returns. So we proceeded to shop after returning about $173.00 worth of item purchased for Christmas and we bought roughly about $125.00 worth of things mostly little & cheap items. One of Our items was a Sweeper that we needed for our home and it was the cheapest one they carried as well. So as we went to leave we seen that all lanes were terribly crowded so against normal routine we chose to go through the self checkout and as we fought " as we normally do " with our 7 year old about candy we as well had to deal with our 2 year old boy who always has a hard time with checkout due to the overwhelming site of candy bars and gum that are always present at the check out of about any store. So in the midst of doing that I got stuff out of the buggy so my husband could ring it up and he had just learned how to unload the bag area so that the computer would not freeze due to removing things just scanned. But instead he was waiting for it to show the scan & bad prompt so he could remove items from the bagging area for when making a one hundred dollar purchase the two little bag slots is not enough space so you must wait on the bag prompt and then unload so you can scan and rebag more items. So after getting a full buggy of bags filled with merchandise we paid and started to exit, when while walking I said "you scanned the stuff on bottom right " my husband then grabbed the receipt right out of my hand quickly and I could see his eyes looking over the items on it. He then stopped me with his arm and was going to say we need to go back and pay for the sweeper but the Big Bad "God" of walmart and his bag boy side kick stepped in front of our cart and asked if we could step into a side room which we did with no problem . This prevention officer was so rude and arrogant it was almost unbelieveable, he then began to make remarks in front of my children about how we was not slick enough and that we almost made it except and then he would ask a question instead of finishing the statement! My husband then " Understandably" became very mad and said some things back in our defense about the security at the store as well as picking on us because of a mistake! Long and short of the matter is we were not out to rip off anything and after are purchase we still had several hundred dollars but we was made out to be thieves and was charged accordingly ! this is wrong and should not be acceptable in todays world of justice and equality! My Husband and I are in court on Friday in the Lawerence Co Municiple court which is located in Chesapeake Ohio at 9am. i hope that justice prevails and the truth is brought to light! No matter what Walmart should be highly ashamed and we will be glad to never step foot back in one ever !

On December 3 2007 i was in walmart shopping for christmas presents for my children. I had been in the store for about an hour and was ready to leave when i remembered i need some makeup, so i headed to the makeup department and found what i was looking for but couldn't remember the color i needed. So i picked up the two i thought were closes and compared them. After a few minutes i decided on one and put the other one back. I placed the other one on top of the toys in the child seat part (my purse was underneath). As i was trying to find and register that didn't have 7 people in it the makeup most likely slipped down and fell beside my purse. By then i was irrated about the long lines and decided to go through the self checkout. I placed my items on the belt and scanned them and payed for them.. I forgot i had the makeup and didn't see it sitting there so i continued to the door. As i was passing the security area a man came up behind me and asked if i had anything i didn't pay for. My heart sank and i said OH MY GOD I totally forgot about the makeup... He ended up taking me and my boyfriend into a room in the front of the building.. He was very rude about this situation and said "where did the other stuff you stole go?" I said i didn't steal anything and the only thing i forgot to pay for was this peace of makeup. He continued to say "i was watching you and you had two things of makeup that you took where did the other one go?" I told him i only put one in my cart and i fully intended to pay for it. They asked how much money i had on me and told me they were going to give me a warning and i was no longer aloud in and Walmart of Sams Club store for the rest of my life. Is this fair and is it legal for them to ban me from there store when no charges were filed and i wasn't even fined?

People don't always use paragraphs here, or they use them at the wrong time. But it is better than talking like Captain Kirk. where. every. single. word. is. a. sentence.

I had a very hard time reading this complaint. It didn't have complete sentences or complete words. I thought a kid wrote this. The texting and iming slang is for just that not message boards, blogs and places where you want to get your story heard and understood. I have read quite a few of the complaints on this board and said "HUH" because they weren't written in complete sentences and words where abbreviated.
I just don't understand when there is no restriction on how much you write why someone would just not type everything out and sound intelligent. Not being able to type is not a good excuse.
I don't mean to be rude but I know people are more intelligent than what they sound like in some of the complaints but they sound like they are written by 5 year olds.

Walmart harrassment & intimidtion by managers scantioned

After being harrassed daily by a manager with that manager trying to force me to wear Broken Dentures at Work, which for my position were not neccessary, as i had been in that position for the last 7 years without any at all, and just in the last year had saved my mopney and purchased them, and their Ins., would not cover any of this cost. I was harassed to the point of retiring . Point in question: I had a Perfect Attendance Record, Was the most knowledgable in my Dept. as to the products we carried, etc., a 100% perfect Evaluation's.
This manager John Edwards, even knowing that my dentures were broken told me I had no choice, or Freedom Of Choice, medical or not, as guaranteed by the US Constitution, but to do as he told me to do, as though he was an almighty dictator. Unable to take the harrassment, I was forced Unlawfully via constructive Dischage to Retire before my time. Taking this issue to the CEO of Wal-Mart, their decision was to support this manager 100% in his illegal actions ansd tactics' Wal-Mart/Sam's Clubs . As covered by the BOD Retreat FYO6 Confidential Document at home Office only which was sent to I a worker by this same manager while at Home Office, yet they endorse his actions

I was harassed by a fellow hourly associate. Not sexual just verbal and emotional. EVERYDAY. There were only 3 girls working in the small department. She threatened me and spread rumors about me. I was in tears everyday clocking IN and OUT! I was forced to move departments and STILL get words threw at me all the time. I have filled the proper papers and even tried getting in touch with our DM, but have yet to hear back from him. This has been going on for almost a year, and now I am on intermediate leave because of depression and anxiety attacks. I explained everything to my doctor and he has assured me this is where my anxiety is coming from. I really don't know what else to do. My job is on the line now because I have to take so much time off. Should I get a lawyer?

Walmart refubrished electronics/not new

I can then tell the secrets I know of Sam’s Club/Wal-Mart Corp, such as Vizio TV’s with a tag that says 39 TELSA, Irvine, Calif is not a NEW Unit As you sell it for but a Refurbished Unit, and that any Dell systems sold at the stores are registered already to Sam’s Club/Wal-mart. Why? Dell is a direct Shipper, as a Direct Shipper any system purchased is Registered automatically to the Purchaser, i.e. Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Best Buy, etc. due to this the purchaser in the store has no support unless they pay for it, because they are not the registered owner, the Resellers who purchased it is. Because of this all DELL Systems should be sold online only thru the direct link to the dell website, and not in the stores, you are by selling in the stores helping DELL defraud the purchaser. Note: the day they are scanned at the Dell Shipping Point in Houston, the Warranty time clock starts ticking down, so if you have a particular unit in stock for 9 months before sale the warranty is now 3 mos left. They are a direct shipper – so go figure.
As far as the refurbished, 99.9% of what is sold at Sam’s Club/Wal-Mart is refurbished, there is a barcode on each, that identifies it as such, and in my research and contact with HP, DELL, Samsung, Vizio, Westinghouse, Sharpe, Sony, etc., etc., I have all those specialty codes and can identify each and every single one.

I did my own research and found this complaint to be true 100%, Wal-Marts Low prices are really Refubrished products marked up to make them money, thus by pricing high, and buying extra low, the are robbing the American Consumer by advertising New Products at a low price when they are not NEW, but Refubrished

I believe this 100% and that's not all they do Ii just sent them the following:

I purchased 2 money orders from your money center and sent them to the court the court says they did notreceive them I went back where I got the MO's and was given a number to call. I called the number and was told I would have to pay to process the loss. This is how your company does business? I also understand that the money order is from a company in Canada. Why are you selling people in the United States money orders from a forgein company that charges us if they are lost or stolen. And you do not even brother telling us that they are not as good as U.S. Money orders.I plan to make this practice very well known and raise as big a stink as I can. If you think one person does not matter think again you do not know me.

I've not been to a Wal-Mart in probably eight years. I do NOT like their business practices.
As for the rude cashier, that's just his/her problem. I'm glad you will boycott them though. You should go ahead and boycott all Wal-Marts :-)

Walmart site to store guaranteed delivery by christmas eve

I ordered a 46" Sony Bravia HDTV from Walmart.com 10 days before Christmas with GUARANTEED by Christmas Eve site to store Delivery. Well today is Christmas and my family never got their Christmas present. I never received any notification regarding the shipment being late until 3am Christmas Morning! I called numerous times to 1-800-WALMART and received no help at all, only that the item had shipped. When I asked what the guarantee was...well, they had no answers for me, so I guess it was guaranteed to be there or not be there. Walmart RUINED CHRISTMAS!

Amsterdam NY - Walmart
I paid $436.25 using my Citizen's Bank Visa as "Credit" 4/4/10 @ 6:01 pm
At the bottom of receipt: TC #[protected] 8
I authorized & signed for transaction... cashier then said it didn't go through & asked me to
repeat the authorization process with my card. 1st I called my bank- they informed me
the $436.25 DID go through & was deducted from my account! Now asst Mngr AnnMarie spoke
to my bank and was told the above. Walmart still disputed the payment went through. I
instructed my bank to stop and delete the transaction & I will start over.
Next AnnMarie instructs me to do it as a "debit"... I authorize with my password & she told me
she had to void it... AND TOLD ME TO SWIPE AGAIN.
AnnMarie again rings up my purchase, instructs me to do it as a "debit"... I authorize with my
password, again. She AGAIN told me the transaction didn't go through. "Do it Again" she says.
I called my bank to find the 2 transactions done as "debit" DID GET IMMEDIATELY TAKEN FROM
my checking account AND because it was done as "Debit" my bank CAN'T Delete them!
AnnMarie continues insist the transactions didn't go through! I told her she needed to either call the police because Walmart has withdrawn large amounts of money and I need my money to pay childcare the next morning at 7am so I can go to work as a RN or She needs to call in someone higher up on the management ladder that could resolve this. "He's an hour away." she told me.
I told her I'd wait. She never called anyone, my money remains withdrawn from WALMART & I wasn't able to leave the store with my purchases thet were paid for 3 TIMES!
Easter Sunday Dinner with my family was missed, my 3 disabled children didn't get to do their
Easter Egg Hunt (it was dark out by the time we got there), and my youngest split her foot open at Walmart & I had to keep doing wound care on my daughter on the floor FOR 3 HOURS! The Urgent Care closed by the time we were able to leave walmart... she has to be taken to MD office in am... it was dark outside, we were starving, and missed EASTER at my 93 y/o grandmother's house with my relatives FROM TEXAS! What do you think the odds are that she'll be alive next Easter? Add that to my 3 children being on the Autism Spectrum & now they keep repeating that "Walmart Ruined Easter" & "This is the Worst Easter Ever!"
******WALMART NEEDS TO FIND ALL MY MONEY & MAKE THIS UP TO MY CHILDREN*********
AnnMarie was polite & professional throughout this... however lacked knowledge for a process to follow in cases such as this and had no back-up Manager on-call to even consult over the phone.
I have great concerns about shopping at Walmart again...

Actually it is quite easy to do...if it is a phone card..all a person has to do is see type it in or over hear you telling the operator the pin and then catch you not looking jolt down the numbers off the card and wham they are in business. Also if a person can memorize your card number they can use it without any trouble at an automated phone or register. If it is a debit card then all they have to do is swipe, and it credit and if the card reader doesn't ask for I.D. then they can use it without any problem. Also FYI you can call and ask for a history of the transactions to see when and where the card was use and most like these place will have video and you can prombly found out who the person or person(s) are who has used your card without permission. Once that is found out then you can contact the card issuers and ask for money to be refunded to your cards. Hope this help you out some. FYI...Keep your cards in a secure place at all times will help too.

I had a balance of $85.00+ in my account and the next time I checked it again I only had $18.51 in my account. In the last few days I did not use it to purchase antyhing. I called Customer Service to inform them that that wasn't the current balance, only to find out that someone made charges to MY account to Verizon three times in one day! How can that be when you are the only person that has access to your pin?

Walmart portrait studio

I had a portrait taken for my 9 year old daughter alongwith my 3 month old daughter.
We went once to get the portrait taken. I think per portrait the charge was $4.95 or so. You get one large print and many small prints is what they say.
I went twice to collect the portrait plus prints.
And lo and behold, the portrait that they gave me was a bad pose one, where I could not see my 3 month old baby's face. They had other prints where the poses were good. But for that I would have to pay extra. Order fresh and pay 30$ or so per full size copy.

Sophisticated chicanery is what I would call it.

Beware of Walmart's photo studio.

I do not subscribe to the previous comment.
I do not agree with number 1 or 2 of the previous comment and the cynical way in which these are stated.
Walmart did not provide me proper service and hence I posted a complaint here so as to let others beware and be upfront with the service that they want.

The Walmart involved here is the Meadowvalve Walmart in Mississauga, ON.

Later on I took the poses of my daughters with my own camera and got them printed at Costco on portrait sheets. And I now have what I initially set out to achieve.
And then we had a family portrait with the same camera.

I am not sure where you went to but the Walmart Studio that my family uses has always allowed us to choose which poses we want for our main purchase pose and the other poses are taken just so that you can decide to purchase them at an extra cost. When I have photos taken of my family, we have always been allowed to look at the poses as it was taken and decide if we want to keep it or retake it. Now the first pose taken is always the package pose and it is always allowed to be seen immediately after it is taken. Then after the extra poses are taken we are again allowed to look at all of the poses and decide what sizes and if we want extra poses or not before we pay for them and leave. So to be honest the only way this could have happen to you the way you stated:1. The photographer didn't do their job properly which I somehow doubt cause they want to make absolutely sure that you (the client) is totally happy so you will return to use their services in the future. or 2. You wasn't paying enough attention when you was picking the pose that you describe above and chose it yourself.

Walmart unknown charge

I put $1000.00 in my walmart debit card on 12/10/08.
#1: they say that there is no charge if u dep 1000 or more & they chrgd me 4.64?
#2: on 12/12/08 there is a charge of $214.16 from barnes & noble I think. The person I got through to had bad accent and was very hard to understand. She said to call barnes & noble. Called them & they said to call her back. She said the $214.16 hasn't come out of my acct yet and to write a letter to po box 1187 marovia, calif 91017, and explain situation and that I do not want it to come out of my acct and to sign it. I have never been to a barnes & noble in person or online. What should I do? I went down and pulled out all but 60.00 from my acct which cost 3.50 plus 3.50 and another 2.00 sc just to talk to walmart customer service who I couldn't even understand. What is going on? I no longer trust walmart debit cards. Will probably close it out.

They charge a monthly fee if you don't use. Whoever bought you the card didn't read the information on it. They shouldn't have bought you that as a one time gift. It's meant only as an alternative to a bank account. If you don't load enough money on it monthly, they charge you like $5 or something like that. I can't remember exactly. Whoever bought it for you should've bought you a Visa Gift Card, not debit card. You shouldn't complain about something if you don't know the whole truth.

Today 12/12/08 I went to walmart to purchase a moneygram as asked by Ricky Norton of 10 Newbury Street, Damvers, MA 01923. I agreed to purchase a teacup size yorkie for $400 and was to be shipped via Delta soon after receipt of payment. I received my confirmation number and sent to Ricky, which we've had many text and voice conversations which I kept. After I left work to head to the Philadelphia airport to pick up the precious 1.5 lb. pup for my daughter as a christmas gift, I received a text from Ricky stating he needed $150 more because he forgot they charged a fee of 150 for a Live Animal Transportation Fee. I stressed to him that we had an agreement and I was paying nothing extra and demanded a refund. I have yet to hear from him nor been able to locate his whereabouts. Would walmart moneygram be able to track the facility where he picked up the money and possible have an ID or video of the person aleging to be Ricky Norton? I am demanding to him via text and VM that he refund or I am pressing legal action. This again, as for many, is most possibly and positivily, a scam and right bfore Christmas which in theses economin imes, the normal person can not afford to loose $400 PLUS $22.92 for the moneygram. I am asking for help from anyone and everyone who can direct me with this horrific situation. I am not only out a special specific Christmas present but $422.92 which will now doulble to make up for what I was suppose tho get for my daughter. I will accept phone calls o my cell [protected] if anyone has been through this and can guarantee me getting my money back.
Oh forgot, Ricky Norton's "cell" number is [protected]

I've used Western Union for money transfers in the past, and thought of trying Moneygram for a change, only because their fees are a tad cheaper. WRONG! What they advertize is not what they end up charging you.

In any case, my complaint centers around their RACIST PROFILING policy. I sent some money overseas for the purchase of a rare soccer match on DVD - recipient happened to be named Mohammad. THEY CHARGED ME $14 FEE (for USD35 transfer), FLAGGED THE TRANSACTION, AND REFUSED TO RELEASE THE MONEY.

After furious inquiry as why they held the funds back, one of the senior manager of the "Escalation Department" said that the name matched some list maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, US Dept. of Treasury.

MILLIONS OF PEOPLE GO BY Mohammad, Muhamed, Muhamad! This is TOTALLY uncalled for!

Recipient went to the bank THREE TIMES to retrieve the money. He was NEVER told why they would not release the money the first two times. IN FACT THE RECEIVING BANK, NEVER GOT THE MONEY TO BEGIN WITH. When I relayed what I had learnt, he went back a third time, complete with affidavits, character statements and proof that he was not a terrorist - just a civilian who happened to own footage of a rare soccer match. (eBay anyone? This is NO DIFFERENT!).

Going on a week now - they have still not released it. He is on the verge of cancelling the transaction. Not worth the humiliation for 35 bucks! (He wasn't even making a profit, just sharing a match with a fellow enthusiast).

The hell with Moneygram! PIGS!

Walmart poor service

When going to pick up my pictures I was informed that they had not been ordered on time, and were still not there after two weeks of waiting. So I check back the next day, and the guy tells me that a box of them came in but that he wasnt going to open it to see if mine was in there. I said alright well i'll just try again later, and he got a complete attitude with me and said well i'll put you on hold and you can wait for me to do what I need to do and then i'll get back with you at some point. On hold? Is he kidding me, it made me want to drive down there. The next day I go in there to see if by some chance they have arrived, and am greeted by a huge line of people in the studio, and guess what no studio employee. I guess they just went on break and never came back, and the sad part is that all the people in line before me had appointments and had been waiting over an hour for someone to show up. I still have yet to get the pictures I paid for. I am completely unsatisfied with this portrait studio, and will not be using them in the future. They need to go over their customer service skills.

Walmart terrible experience

My eyeglasses frame made by titanium was broken at sep 2008 while I cleaned lenses, which was bought from walmart in jan 2008. I asked them to replace it and they said that the frame warrenty had only 60 days. I complained it to them to make no sense because the previous frame I had had kept more than 3 years. If anyone knows the only 60 days warrenty of a frame who buys it at walmart? Even worse they suspected me to buy it there while they found my information from their system, i.. E. They found my info but they said that they didn't have my purchase record. I had bought it only once at walmart.

I doubt that the frame may had a fault from the beginning because people know titanum is very flexible as well as very strong I complained them to mention the such a short warrenty policy before I bought it and they said you didn't ask it. What on earth is it? Is it walmart customer care? It's not acceptable nor has common sense. I'll have further action to correct it.

Also eyeglass is very important to protect eyes. Malmart warrenty policy and attitude to customer should be changed.

I am shocked, dismayed and appalled at the treatment I received from night support manager, Bob, this morning. On 10/21, I spent $55.79 in this store. When I got home I realized I was charged full price for tapenade, which was on the clearance rack with a few others (and yes, I did check the tags on the shelf). This morning, 11/2, I made a special trip this morning out of my way--ten miles x 2 = 20 miles--to return it. They had a female at their 'courtesy' desk, who took one look at my receipt and flatly announced, 'We don't do that before 7 am.' I asked for a manager and got Bob. I explained that the customer should not have to be inconvenienced any further when it is a store error. He kept pointing to a yellow sign that says, 'no refunds AFTER 10 pm.' The thing about that sign, though, is that it doesn't say what time they BEGIN doing refunds. I would think that would be up to the manager's discretion, ESPECIALLY since the policy they have posted on their corporate WEBSITE says, 'SATISFACTION GUARANTEED, Our goal is to satisfy our Customers... by Exchange, Refund, or Repair.'

Since I had my receipt, and it clearly was way before 90 days, and it was THEIR EMPLOYEE WHO DID NOT PROPERLY REPROGRAM THEIR SYSTEM, clearly Bob fell down on the job! ESPECIALLY since he was trying to tell me the sign says 'not before 7, ' when anybody who can read at the first-grade level can see it does not say that at ALL; it says 'not after 10 pm.' I pointed out to Bob that there are other stores in the area that I can shop in, such as Winn-Dixie and Publix, and I don't mind paying more for the sake of getting decent customer care. I also pointed out that since it was 6:27, surely he could accommodate me, since I have to be at work at 7 am. Again, he refused to accommodate a loyal customer. As it happens, I am also in the customer care business (actually it's half sales and half customer care.) We have policies and procedures, too, but we also know when the sensible thing to do is to make an exception. I spend about $100 a week between this store and Sarno, and I know that's NOTHING to Wal-Mart. But it is SOMETHING to me. And I can just as well divvy it up between a couple of local produce markets, and buying my soy products at my Church's health food store (again, it costs more there, but the proceeds will go to a Christian school, so that's fine with me). Anything else I need can be readily ;purchased at Publix or Winn-Dixie. Bob won the battle, all right. Him and his little yellow wonder sign. Unfortunately he lost a customer. But like I said--Wal-Mart could care less, right?

I went to a Wal-Mart store for tire service, as one of my tires had a blowout in the wall the size of a baseball. I often monitor the condition of my tires. While at the Wal-mart auto shop, I took a closer inspection also to the inside walls of my tires, and discovered a crack wearing in the walls of 2 other tires. This could have been from the intense summer heat in the parking lot, as my tires had plenty of tread remaining.

I've always gotten good wear of tires in the 30 plus years I've been driving. I spoke with the woman who was writing the invoice, and the supervisor, who was supposed to ensure my exact specifications were completed as requested. I asked got specific clarity that they replace the cracked tires, along with the blowout, with new tires... and the new tires placed on the rear for safety.

I also ask that they take the good rear tire and use it as a spare. After paying for the job and then going to my car, I inspected to ensure they'd done the job as I'd specified, which we had gone over very clearly. No they had not. The good tire from the rear was missing altogether. They had put a new tire on the front. The only spare tire I had in the trunk was the blown out tire with the hole in it's wall the size of a baseball.

I was horrified. I was scheduled to go to Charleston SC for a followup appointment with orthopedics as I had a cast from having broken my wrist. I spoke with the staff and learned that they had taken the good tire from the rear and put in into a pile of tires inside the shop, nearly ripping me off of a perfectly good tire. I work hard to earn a living to make sure I have at least the necessities in life.

To have a monster billionaire company like Wal-Mart literally try to rip me off was, to say the least, aggravating. Rather than even offer me a sincere apology and immediately initiate correction of the problem, the staff (except for the woman greeter, who had a half-way decent demeanor) acted like they were 'half-witted about what even a half-way prudent person would have done.

I certainly let the supervisor know how I felt about the matter and their putting my safety in jeopardy; and that I had a life to attend to, rather than having spend double time there for such negligence. Inside I felt very annoyed but kept my cool, considering the circumstances. The supervisor whom I'd given the specific instructions to actually got a bit of an attitude, as though he was trying to turn it around on me somehow.

Of course there was no way he could since he simply didn't ensure the job was done as we had very clearly agreed. I could have gotten stuck in a 60-mile stretch on US Highway 17 between Georgetown and Charleston, where there is nothing but woodsland. That could have cost me quite a bit since I would have had no replacement spare tire. If I'd had a flat tire, I'd had opened my trunk to find nothing but a blown out tire for a spare.

In this case I asked to see the General Manager of the store. This situation was bad enough I felt it necessary to insist on speaking with the General Manager of the store. They finally got the job corrected. I don't think it even dawned on them to even verbalize an apology. They must be trained to never apologize to any customers, like it would be admitting guilt or something.

I was certainly not interested in any type of civil action for their careless, or cheating 'mishap.' All I cared about was, when it comes to the tires on the vehicle I drive, I have to ensure they my care is as safe as possible. On top of this, I learned very shortly afterwards that the individual who did the job, had disconnected something in my electrical system, which ended up costing me a trip to my mechanic.

Since my car is a Mercedes, repairs are considerably expensive. That's pretty sad. They tried ripping me off of my tires, and in the process incompetently didn't reconnect something they disconnected. I was not about to take my car back to Wal-Mart, and put it in their hands.

store # 1137 / Manager is Estevan Rodriguez...lets just say up front...how in the world this person became store manager is beyond me! she clearly can not manager a store, with no respect for customers at all...I was in the store to return an item on Sunday 05/16/10 around 2pm and stood in line for 45 min or longer, watched as (4) employees cleaned up a water spill, laughed back and fourth...Manager stood looking at them clean up the spill and there are at lest 20 customers in line for returns and only one person working returns? so I asked if the manager could get someone else to help out in customer service? one employee told me, Oh I don't know where the manager is right now! I asked can't you page them to customer service? was told no! another customer asked for the mananger and they were told the same story, after 15min went by another employee came out from the back of customer service and stood at the there, I asked her...so she did she paged the manager and the manager replied, I'm right here around the counter at a register? the whole time...was even the same register, I had asked to page the manager, did she move to help us ? NO! the employee behind the counter said I called someone to help you what more do you want, then began to get really ugly...the whole time the manager was around the corner hearing everything, two more customers asked for more help in this dept. still no answer! after waiting in line for over 45 min to and hour, I was finally up to the counter, when here comes someone to help! OMG...still not the manager and no I am sorry for you wait? had the shoe been on the other foot, wonder how she would have felt... and for the manager to let an employee talk to customers that way, just goes to show you how much she cares about her customers! Walmart is just not the family store they claim to be...at lest this location is not!

Debbie,
I am a walmart associate. And not one of my co-workers likes where they are working. We are treated very unfairly, and walmart knows there is nothing we can do. We cant complain, because the management team has a very swift retalitation policy against the worker, but not the other members of management. They do what they want when they want. They force people out all the time. And your right, we cant get unions representation, because they would shut the doors to any store that unionized, no matter how profitable the store is. Ask any associate why walmart doesnt cut their own meat anymore. Its because the meat cutters managed to unionize and then walmart decided that it was easier to IMPORT! their meat already cut then to let the meat cutters keep their UNIONIZED jobs. Ask an associate from Canada why they closed the most profitable store in Canada. Because they also managed to unionize, and within a two weeks they decided the store wasnt doing well enough to keep it open.
Walmart is a bad employer, and people are screwed these days into having to keep their jobs, no matter what, because the economy is so bad. So I work and keep my head and shoulders down, and never make eye comatct with ANY member of my management team.

Another negative comment about Walmart that I just don't believe. I do believe that there are those out there who just hate Walmart (probably someone associated with the unions who repeatedly are denied setting up business with Walmart's many employees). I have been shopping at Walmart forever and have yet to have even ONE remotely bad experience. And that goes for every one of my family members as well. And their return policies are above and beyond any other retailer. And their prices are spectacular!

The next time you're in Walmart ask one of the workers how they like working there.

Unions are not for everyone, and these people should just stop trying to give Walmart a bad rep. Unions are not needed when the management/ownership knows how to take care of their own.

Walmart disgrace

I have been a proud Walmart shopper since I was a kid, but on Black Friday all of that changed! Walmart shoppers are animals! A Walmart Employee in RI was trampelled to death as he attempted to open the doors (how I hope the murders are caught every damn one of them) A young pregnant Woman is put in the hospital by yet another Walmart crowd..the one I went to was filled with fist fights and merchandise being stolen out of carts and hands of other shoppers..

You people are truly animals! I was in a crowd in the Electronics Dept. attempting to reach a shelf to pick up my wanted item..a wrapped skid was in my way as was a demented wild eyed Woman who was holding her arms out blocking people from getting past her the whole time she was yelling at the top of her lungs "I WAS HERE FIRST" when I said politely "excuse me" then tried to walk past her she stiffened her arm and growled "over my dead body ###"..I hissed angrily "don't tempt me" then I shoved her arm out of my way then made my way around the skid before I could reach my destination she begins screaming at a Cop in a maniacal loud voice "OFFICER I WAS HERE FIRST SHE SHOVED ME OUT OF THE WAY ARREST HER, I WANT HER ARRESTED" The Cop snapped angrily "she's a shopper lady if anyone here gets arrested it will be you, now put your damn arms down and keep your hands off other shoppers" she lowered her arms then glared at me, but her evil glares stopped when she saw I was looking at the portable cd players hanging on the shelf beside the skid and I was not interested in what was on the skid...the funny thing is until they were unwrapped no one was aware of what was on each skid..most shoppers were blindly throwing things in their carts afraid someone else would get them first! Some even reached through the plastic and tried to get to the merchandise, I even saw a few sneaking and trying to put holes in the plastic while a Cop stood nearby! Sadly these are the same people who tell their kids to "respect others", "be honest" "don't start fights" and "show respect for the law".. Several groups of maniacs actually ripped through the plastic before the employees could do it the entire time they were screaming "IT'S 5"..they should have heard what the employees said about that!

I used the back aisles to make my way back to my Partner and our Best Friend...I watched as two Women got into a fight over a dog bed (does that make it a ### fight?)..now this behaviour was not due to the sale it was due to them being insane..there was 6 more of those same dog beds, same size and color on the shelf and they were NOT on sale!

When I returned to my Partners side we went looking for the Hoodies that were on sale..another shopper heard us and proceeded to follow us to the hoodies..I found them first and told my Partner next thing I know this crazy Lady tries to shove me to the side and she begins frantically searching the rack, I found the 2 sizes we wanted then proceeded to put them in our cart, I noticed they were being studied by the same shopper and informed my Partner she decided to carry our merchandise so we halfed it between us and we left the cart sitting...

After awhile we decided to check out the dvd/vcr combos and found one on sale for $90..I handed my half of the merchandise to my Partner then picked up the player it was the last one on the shelf..as I turned around another crazy ### shopper walks up takes the box right out of my hand said "thank you" then walked away I turned to a Walmart Employee expecting help, but he only shrugged his shoulders said "crazy ### shoppers" then returned to his work..I thought about going after her, but that would have put me down to her level so instead I pointed her out to a Cop told him what had happened then watched as he talked to the female shopper she denied she did it, but then changed her story when she was informed there are working cameras in that dept. the Cop asked if I "wanted the player?" I said no because Walmart Employees are standing around with their heads up their ### letting psychotic ###ic shoppers attack other shoppers, steal other shoppers merchandise and threaten people..I told him an Employee actually saw what happened and offered no help at all and I refused to buy that player now..I told that customer she could have it, but I hoped it was defective and they refused to exchange it or give her her money back! The Cop however refused to let her keep the player he returned it to the shelf and stood watch over it until it was picked up by another shopper..the insane shopper did get another player she ended up paying about $120..I saw her angrily grab it off the shelf and put it in her cart! The whole time she was shooting me dirty looks like she was the victim, how I longed to walk over and clock her on the spot, but that would have lowered me to her pathetic level..

Here's the funny thing we left Walmart disgusted and went to Kmart..thanks to those sad ### Walmart shoppers we found bargain after bargain at Kmart..including popular movie titles for only $5..one film we saw at Walmart for $13, a male lunatic snatched it off the shelf before I could reach it, and yes it was the last one on the shelf. He actually laughed as he walked away! However I ended up buying it at Kmart for only $5...I got the last laugh..Kmart shoppers were nice and well behaved there was about 20 people trying to reach a dvd /vhs player..I was the first one at the shelf then here came the rest when the Employee pulled the first box down he offered it to the Lady standing next to me she shook her head motioned toward me and said "she was here first" there was only 8 in stock, so you see the smart shoppers were at Kmart..the wild eyed feeding frenzy animals were shopping at Walmart...btw the combo player was on sale for $59.99 with a $10 rebate..that's right we paid only $50 for my Moms early Christmas present it plays great and my Mom is thrilled...I found a pair of pjs at Walmart for $16 on sale for $8 only one left in my size as I picked up the pj set a Woman grabbed it out of my hand and disappeared into the crowd...I then went to Kmart and found a $30 pj set for only $11..at Walmart I found a pack of 4 undies for $8 marked down to $5 there was only four pair inside, I put them back then watched as a shopper jerked them off the rack and ran off into the crowd..I later found a pack (at Kmart) of undies 8 pair for $8, I needed bras I found a sports bra at Walmart for $10..no one grabbed this from me I just decided that was not a good deal so I put it back..later at Kmart I found a 2 pack sports bra set for $8..that's right, 2 sports bras for for only $8..Thanks to those lunatic shoppers we found some great deals..despite that they should not be proud of themselves..after all there is at least one family out there who will be minus a loved one during Christmas! My question is this how many Walmart shoppers would commit murder just to save a few dollars? Answer: roughly about 2000!

BTW Walmart shoppers if you were among that insane crowd not just here in Fla. but everywhere..ie pushing, shoving threatening, stealing merchandise out of shoppers carts and hands...cursing people you do not know, fighting or picking fights then be aware Walmart Employees and the normal shoppers like us who stood off to the side shaking our heads in disgust at the wild animalistic behavour you displayed well we made fun of you..big time! Tell me this, if you have children, and if not (thank God btw no one wants someone like you breeding) then pretend you do, would you want your Children to act that way? And if the answer is either yes or no, then you should be ashamed! Because, if it's yes then someone like you should not be raising kids and if it's no then you are a hypocrite (sp?)

For those who answered no I have a message for you...when you go to Church be sure you pray for the people you trampled on, beat up, cursed out, pray for the child who is minus a toy you saw in another cart or in someone elses arms/hands and helped yourself to..and please be sure you say a prayer for that Man (and his family) who was murdered by Walmart Shoppers greed! Happy Birthday Jesus! And Merry Christmas everyone!

I went to the walmart in quincy last Saturday to get a fishing license. When i approached the fishing hunting department, No one was at the registar. So i found an employee and told them i needed someone at the desk to purchase a license. She got on the phone and called someone telling them im waiting for a license. After 15 minutes and no arrival i picked up the phone, not knowing how it works and called any department that would answer, telling them im waiting for a license. they paged over the pa system asking for someone to help me at the fishing depatment for a license. After another 20 minutes, Still no one shows. Now because of the pa system, their are 3 of waiting for license's. i again got on the phone calling anyone who would answer. at this time its been an hour. Finally Moneque a so called department manager showed up and couldnt find the key to the drawer to get the slips we needed to fill out for the license. She was calling someone a few times, And still the clock is ticking. While ive been waiting customers are asking me for help finding items. I told them if i worked here i would have quit by now. I told Moneque i wanted a discount for the 3 other items i will be purchasing. She told me in no uncetain terms, That she "will not give me a discount and that she was on a break when she pulled away to help me" I then told her i wanted to speak to the person above her! She then told me, "Im used to people complaing and it dosent bother me" Also she stated "good luck with Michele she 's is younger than all of you waiting and dosent have a clue" Well Michele did show up and granted me a 10% discount and really had nothing to say.

Moneque also questioned the amount of my gift card, i told her it was a gift and i knew it was $30. Because my nephew gave it to me to get a fishing license. She obviously hasnt a clue how to do her job. And is rude, arrogant and should in no way be a department manager. If anything she should be unloading trucks, so she will have nothing to do with the customers. I will be sure to tell my nephew, to never get me gift card to Walmart again. i would rather stand in line somewhere else. I almost took my dog with me, and would have left her in the car, Thank god i didnt. The heat probably would have killed her..

The date is wrong, but this happened and I am hoping Walmart changes their policy..It was a busy shopping day toward Christmas..we had just begun shopping..no items in our cart..our first stop was the elctronics dept. we wanted to get some dvds..we picked out 4 dvds two were dvd sets about $40 a piece..the movies were $25 a piece..we placed them in our cart over $100 in total not counting tax..there was a line that stretched out around the entire length of the Elect. dept. into the shoes dept. we walked around the lines because we were not ready to leave yet..suddenly a walmart Employee jumps out at me scaring me silly I actually jumped, grabs my arm and yells "you have to pay for those movies here" I informed her we were not done with our shopping, she tightened her grip on my arm and said "you still have to pay for them here" I looked over at the long lines and said "like hell" I handed her the two dvd sets back and the two single movies..she made a face and said "don't you still want them?" I turned and said no we don't have time to stand in line twice..keep them! Then we walked away..I realize they have to protect themselves against theft, but my Partner and I are returning customers..acting as if everyone they come in contact with are thieves is very insulting..I for one do not appreciate it..I did end up getting both sets and both movies later, but not at Walmart..and we paid alot less for them! Btw we did find two movies up front in the 2 for $10 bin..we decided if they asked us to go to the electronic dept to pay for them we would just set them aside too, but happily they let us pay upfront for them...I should add when that Employee grabbed my arm she came close to getting her lights punched out, first by me then by my Partner...it is soo not a good idea to grab someone like that!

I received an ILO Tv purchased through walmart.com as a gift back in July 2007. I had no use for the TV until June of 2008 and I took it out of the package and plugged it in and it worked for 15 minutes and shut off. I tried to return it to my local walmart and called a rep at walmart.com to see if I could get a store credit or refund and I was refused. The return policy clearly states that damaged or defective equipment can be returned for a refund and the people at walmart refused to honor the return policy and turned me away.

Walmat did not bolt down their cart corral and upon entering the store a storm came in to Albuquerque, and slammed the cart into my brand new car and another new car. Walmart states that they are not responsible because I chose to shop on a stormy day and it was an "Act of God". I'm complaining because they denied my claim due to the fact that I was at fault for shopping at their store.

I have had it with Walmart and their crappy electronics..first I bought a Walmart brand cd player..only paid $20 that should have been my first red flag..my Nephew who was barely 2 tore up the box, but at the time I was ok with that I had after all a cd player..it never played from the start..armed with my receipt I returned to Walmart hoping to get an even exchange I was even willing to pay more for a different brand..the CSM said no, then the store Manager said no..I figured it was because I no longer had the original box never mind I had the paperwork that came with it..so I figured that was my fault so I tossed the defective cd player in the garbage and proceeded to buy a Memorex portable cd player with radio for $30..everything was fine for awhile anyway, now four months later it plays only every once in awhile..at times I will put in a cd and it plays, no problem! Other times I'll put in a cd and it says "error disc" meaning the player isn't recognizing the cd it just played the day before..so I turn it off and listen to the radio for about an hour then lo and behold it starts working again..I contacted Walmart on the phone and was told basically "too bad so sad..it's past the return time limit". I now own a $30 radio! My Cousin was recently in Walmart exchanging a pir of jeans when a Lady in front of her attempted to return a mixer no box just the mixer, the attachments and the paperwork that came with it, was she refused?..Hell no! Turns out she was a Friend of the CSM.. My next cd player will come from Big Lots, I once bought one from there and it lasted for 5 years.

I take surveys all the time for different products, places, etc. The walmart survey is the ONLY survey that requires you to "purchase, apply for, transfer balance, etc." In order to be entered for their " you could win one of five" $1000.00 gift cards.

I don't like Walmart very much, the lines take forever, the
managers are never there if you have a problem and the stores
don't even have a security guard inside nor outside the stores.
The prices are OK, but I really think other supermarkets are
way better.

Walmart - denied check

I have been writing checks for 25 years and never had a bounced check or any other problems. Today I wrote a check at Walmart, which I have done probably hundreds of times before, and my check was denied. I totally humilitated in front of a long line of customers and my own mother. The cashier gave me a little slip of paper with a 1 800# on it which I...

Walmart over charge for sale item

During the thanksgiving day sale there were "Riders" jeans on sale for 8.00, all sizes including plus sizes. The add showed only a pictur of the blue ones and I needed black (for work). I had been checking Walmart for my size and they had been out of them. Well when I went at 5:00 in the morning the day after Thanksgiving I went to the dept. for my size clothing and they did have my size but I wasn't sure if the black ones were on sale. So I took a pair and scanned them and they scanned the regular price. I thought well the black ones must not be on sale but I needed them anyway so I bought 2 pair at 19.96 each. The following Monday a girl I work with said she got her black ones for 8.00 so the next day I went to Walmart and found the same EXACT jeans I had paid regular price for 8.00. They were located in the juniors dept with all the other jeans that were 8.00. I went to customer service and explained the situation and the lady there told me to bring in my receipt and I would get a refund. So 2 days later I did (they still had the jeans for 8.00). I was told the jeans I got from the plus size dept were not the ones on sale even though they were the same EXACT jeans, they had different numbers because the ones on sale were purchased specifically for the sale. I feel like I should have gotten the sale price no matter where the jeans were located in the store. They were the same product in 2 different locations at different prices. I also recently picked up a DVD that had a whole center isle of the same movie with a sign that clearly said 16.96 but when I got up to the check out it rang up 19.96. I was told 19.96 was the correct price so I went back to the electronics dept. and the sign was there, 16.96. I was told that they could not override the price on movies anymore.
I am very upset with Walmart right now but I live in a small town with the next large city an hour away. I like to try to keep my business in our town but if I have to I will go to the larger city and shop. If there was a competitive department store for Walmart in our town that's where I would shop from now on. This is not the first time I've had a complaint about this store and have spoken to managers but it doesn't do any good. Walmart advertises they are the comsumer friendly store but I'm beginning to wonder about that!

Irish! I could not get over your analogy of this complaint. After looking through more or less 30 of your 140+ comments I noticed you side with the company the person complains about. I will bet 98% of the time you side with the company that is complained about. You are negative, insufferable and discourteous to say the least. You filed a complaint saying you were accused of stealing a VCR accidentally!? You want people to believe you!? You have an ID of IRISH. I know there are black irish, never the less, I never seen an African American that is IRISH. Is this a game to you, or do you have a problem?

Most of your comments have thumbs down. I also have noticed Trevor also follows your comments.

I was compelled to comment on IRISH. I would not doubt if there is a complaint on IRISH

Walmart walmartmoneycard

My wife received a Walmart moneycard as a gift. Some gift. She followed the instructions to activate the card by phone. She discovered she needed information she did not have. She contacted the giver and got the activation code from the receipt. She tried again. It was a no go.

She turned it over to me. (I should have known what a nightmare this would turn into.) I tried activating on-line twice. The first time it needed more information than I had. The second time, it stalled at step 3 of 5, and restarted twice.

Walmart has the money and everyone else associated with the card got screwed.

My wife called Walmart. Their comment was they never heard of anyone having a problem with walmartmoneycard.com. Yeah, right.

Walmart poor service at front royal va walmart

My elderly mother and I went to the Front Royal Va Wal mart on Thanksgiving day and it was bad. We wanted to get a jump on the Christmas rush we went to the electronics dept and heard the sales associate named Sean using words that would make a sailor blush. My mother and I both being christains started to leave the store but decided to shop anyway. We then asked this associate to answer a few questions that we had in reference to an I-pod and when we did not understand we where talked down to like we where a 2 idiots in front of a store full of other customers. Is this the kind of people that Wal mart wants representing thier store? We then left the store and both stated that we would never return to any Wal mart anywhere as long as there is still a K mart or Target with in 50 miles from where we live the next day we went and spent over $3, 500 on Christmas gifts at the local K mart and we finished our shoping at the Gander Mountain in Winchester Va the way that I see it thier loss not mine.I have spent anywhere from $250 to $300 a week in the Front Royal Wal mart since it opened but I will no longer buy anything from them not even as a last resort I will do with out first. I will go back to Food Lion for my Groceries and K mart for everything else.If this young man acts like an animal at his job while he is in public view imagine what he is like at home.I just cant believe that he acts this way he used words that I would never use and the bad thing if it all is he was not mad or upset the words where part of his vocabulary so whats wrong with that picture? Then we went to the other associate that was working with him and he gave that person a hard time saying that they where trying to get his sale.We where just trying to find a decent person to talk too DOWN WITH WAL MART BOO!

There is an associate named kathy brannon who is not only very rude to customers but is also a drug user. She grows and smokes marijuana and as long as she works at that store I will never shop there! Does wal mart not do regular drug test on their employees? Where do they find this trash?

I work at the front royal walmart and I help customers to my fullest extent. I believe that the customer is first. However, here is a clue for your complaining customers. When you do get good service call the store and ask for the manager on duty. Please report who carried out good service. This is logged and promotes good employees. When there is a stock issue, or issue with a rude associate call the store likewise. However, only department managers can order products. So if the stock is bad (which it usually is) it is the managers faults. I repeat, us regular associates cannot order! Secondly, although I rarely get rude customers, those of you customers who are rude, or come in drunk and are obnoxiously rude, go to counseling and stop harassing us. Rude customers, especially beligerant alcoholics waste the time we could be using to service customers. Otherwise, the rest of the customers besides a select few over the time who just are naturally rude, we love you. I enjoy helping you out everyday I am at work and satisfying the customer, which is #1!

I agree, last time I went it was 3 hours to get pharmacy to fill my prescription, and they keep telling me 15 min 15 mins and on and on. I am an understanding person but my god. If it was not for a heart attack I would have just left. Then tried to get paint mixed the same day well the equipment was not working and then a new person who did not know what he was doing for training was not even there and no-one to help him. I did feel for him for I waited and seen that the customer before me had the same problem. The tire people and not much better traing Again Training is very important. The Deli, well if you do get something it does take for every for someone to cut the meat plus all I heard from the girl was this is not my dept and I hate it here and it is very mess. only purchase 1 time and never again. Cashiers never smile or say thank you. Very poor customer service skills. and do agree Front Royal is the worst I have ever seen but I do shop at K-mart which is a little better but Walmart does have better prices. I just plan to spend more time there to get what I need. Not sure where they find these people or hiring process or even training, but someone should see what is wrong at this store. I love Walmart and shop the one in Winchester and never complain. Wish them the best of luck on finding people who can train the employees

Yes I totally agree. Many of the employees act like they are in another world, are lazy and act like they weren't even born with brains. The deli is ridiculous and have noticed them not washing hands when leaving rest rooms then continueing back to the deli to handle foods. If you ask for help locating an item you are lucky if you caqn find someone and when you do they say no they don't carry the item because they are too lazy to look. The management isn't any better, all they do is make excuses.Have you noticed the price of food in Walmart nowadays for their genereic items in grocery? The meat coolers aren't maintained at proper temps, and all in all the store lacks what other Walmarts have in other states...COMPETANT MANAGERS !

Also you can never find the hand sanitizer wipes because they are always absent or empty and their customer restrooms are always filthy.
