The Salvation Army USA / not getting help w rental assistance

1 Fairbanks, AK, United States Review updated:

I made 19 trips having to walk to the Salvation Army being disabled just to get all the required paperwork they requested and am Allready behind -2/ months rent as I lost my Section 8 my girls grew up and got jobs b we still qualify f help w one months rent they waited till they saw we got a dividend fund and than said they can't help my dividend is Allready promised to help w one of those months back rent and just because my only daughter still living with me at home went back to work after a years sickness 16 hours every -2- weeks they said no help she could help me w my rent!! That's crazy as I live on a fixed income she can barely make her own car a insurance payment also my tranny went out of my 2012 Camry which I'm
Still paying on and I haven't a car since early May also they did this to me last year I ran and ran real sick to gather all the necessary paperwork they required to get help w heating fuel and than got told there was no more fuel or $ to help me and we allmost froze to death as they acted as if they WERE going to help me I feel this is truely so wrong and I realize t is a charity organization also the lady Valerie in charge here in FBKS said I missed my interview and did NOT call in which is NOT TRUE because she needed my daughters work pay stubs and a letter from her employer stating when she went back to work how often Etc and also I recorded her when I asked to speak w her supervisor she did not waste one minute in stating she would have to go w Valerie's decision w/o even checking my paper work forms Etc so that shows me they had Allready discussed my circumstances and reached a "No Help" decision all ready I am livid w the disrespect shown the lady's were talking on there cells w there boyfriends or husbands and not professional at all I left there in tears and prob will have to move now after being here over 18 years I feel I've been done a huge injustice I've never even gotten Thanksgiving or Christmas help either from them can you please please HELP ME I AM NOT IN GOOD HEALTH TO MOVE ITS COLD HERE ALSO NOW AND NOW W A NEW TRANNY IN MY CAR I FIND I GOTTA GET A NEW CAR ENGINE AS WELL IM SO SCARED I CANNOT SURVIVE T COMING WINTER

All of these issues are your responsibility, not the Salvation Army's. If you can walk back and forth 19 times with paperwork, you can get a job. If you are really too sick, your two adult daughters should be able to help you. Stop relying on other's. You need to step up and stop blaming an organization for your personal problems.
