shoddy practices
I wanted to join Snap Fitness and as I started asking questions about using other Snap facilities I was told the following was true and I should consider before joining:
"I'm happy to do that deal, the issue with snaps software is if your using a club in another location more than a few times in a month it notifies the owner where they can charge the difference in price or shut off your card off."

screwed
I was over charged twice by snap fitness in buffalo, MN. Then when i called to cancel and get my money beck for being overcharged i got yelled at by the owner. Was charged before the contract even started then again after it was started i called and emailed and he (brad kohler) wouldn't call me back, i would go there during his hours posted and he would not be there. I finally got in contact and he told me "have fun trying to get any money back ha ha." I will never go again nor would i ever tell anyone else to go.

they'll threaten you
I joined the Snap Fitness in NE Mpls. I lost my wallet and canceled my credit card and forgot that the membership was on the card. Thet called me the next month to ask about it and I apologized and told them that when I got my new card I'd call them.
Well, they didn't even give me a grace period of a few days but canceled my card and said I could use it again if I brought them cash and then they told me that if I didn't bring them cash, they'd use my canceled credit card to try to rack up service fees on me.
So I told them to just cancel the membership. They wouldn't let me cancel over the phone but made me go to their operation to fill out a "form." The nice teenager managing the place gave me a blank 8 x 11 sheet of paper to "fill out." I asked her what she needed and she shrugged. I wrote "I quit."
Beware which Snap you go to, these are all small business owners managing in their own way. The company gives them ideas on how to rack up fees and some will do it and some won't.
Broadway Avenues Snap Fitness will try to wring you dry given the opportunity.

It sounds like the owner of this club did not train their employees correctly. At the Snap where I work, people do have to come in to cancel and we have a cancellation form on the computer that we we print out, sign, date, etc. Handing someone a blank sheet of paper is just wrong.
bad joke
I go in this gym for the guest pass advertised. A rep forces me to endure her lame, stale sales pitches until I finally agree to a $45 a month membership then she can't figure out how to program my card. Some time later, she hands me a card that, I discover the first time I drive up there to workout, doesn't work. Nobody answers or responds to messages left at posted numer. I have to call during her narrow office hours and she only tells me it shoud've worked and it will now. I drive up there again, gas prices what they are, and it doesn't. We start the whole process over again and repeat it 4 or 5 time. Finally I have to take an afternoon off to catch her there and get a working card and she cops an attitude with me! Next thing I know, additional money is drafted from my account, overdrawing it. When I protest the owner throws a temper tantrum and cancels my membership. I'm left with wasted time, money and gas, missed workouts an overdrawn account no gym. Avoid these people like the plague. Incompetent, rude staff. No less expensive than any other gym and far less to offer (that is if you're lucky enough to get thru the door). Go to a real gym, these people are a joke, a bad joke!

What snap Gym was this at? When we joined she never once forced us to join. She was quite friendly and offered any help or questions we had about the gym. I can't agree or disagree with your complaint because I wasn't there when it happened. If you had a non working card that's quite an issue. It seems like the owner there didn't care at all. It depends on who the owner hires at these gyms. Some gyms you get a great staff who is willing to help you. Other gyms you get no support.
withdrawal
Snap fitness had taken out of my debit account for $30.00 for membership fees which I had never used their fitness club and also put my checking account in the negative balance and I would like Regions Bank to get every cent back for the overdrafts that have been charge toward my account. For their lack of attention to my account.
Sincerely yours,
Jeanita Rainey

Snap Fitness - no contract, month to month is a lie
They claim "no contract", then make you sign one but tell you orally it is for the key card use, liability for use of the facilities, etc. TRY (just try) to cancel as I did (sent notice I wasn't going to use gym any longer)and the personal and friendly owner will send you to a collection agency after billing and continuing to bill month after month.
