Samsung product quality & service policy!

There is a board right above the lcd panel on my 46" tv amongst other numerous boards, which samsung does not provide to its authorized repair shops. So when this board goes bad, they are telling you to buy a whole new lcd panel, which is so expensive that you are better off to buy a new tv all together.

This board went bad on my tv just after a year and half at which point the warranty is expired. I called samsung customer support and they adamantly insisted that what ever the shop says is what I have to do and that the board is not sold separately. The joke is, that samsung provides this board to other companies, for what ever reason or purpose, and I was able to get it on line and repair my tv myself. The question is, why is this board (Part) failing so quickly (I have heard of several cases myself alone) , and why samsung likes to sell you a new lcd panel/tv at a much higher price instead of the board at a fraction of the lcd panel's cost?

Why didn’t it bother samsung a bit when I told them about the situation and why didn't it bother them at all that they have a quality problem here? Is samsung trying to boost sales by following such policy?
Samsung may not care about quality and practice, but customers do. I am not buying any more samsung products and I suggest every one else to reconsider if they intend to buy their products.

i bought a samsung 26" LCD tv from croma retail in Feb 2009. Within 6 mnths of purchasing it, it TV screen started malfunctioning. i called samsung customer care and croma. both assured me to solve the problem in stipulated tme. But after 15 days passing away, still prolem persists.

I would recommend my friends and readers of this website not to buy any samsung product to avoid any problem.

I have always patronized Samsung products in the past, from cellphones, TV sets and laptops. About a little over two years ago, having been told that Samsung is the pioneer in LCD/LED TVs, I got me a 46" Samsung Smart LED TV which cost over One hundred Thousand pesos. Just very recently, sometime in the middle of November 2013, while watching a show on this TV, the screen display suddenly went black and nothing was on display, but the sound however remained. At first, I went to a big appliance store in a mall near my place and talked to a Samsung sales representative and told him about what happened to my SAMSUNG 46" Smart LED TV. And I have been told that the only usual trouble buyers of this brand encountered in the past is the LED back light which cost around Two thousand Pesos. The following day I asked my wife to call the Samsung Customer Service Center to report the problem. We were referred to an accredited Service Center somewhere in Antipolo City, and a week later, a service technician went to my residence to check on the unit. He did some tests with his tester and told us that the problem with the unit was the LED Panel. I wanted to know how much it would cost me to have it repaired or replaced, so I asked the technician for a job estimate. We were told that he would immediately submit his report to his office, and they would get in touch with me the following day for the actual costs to be charged for the repair. I was shocked to find out that the cost of the LED Panel replacement was Twenty Eight Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Pesos (Php 28, 520.00) plus labor cost of One Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Pesos (Php 1, 350.00). This is far out crazy! Having spent over a hundred thousand pesos and after just a little over two years, I will have to shell out another Twenty Eight Thousand Pesos more? And in case I had the money to pay for the replacement, how long will it take before it gets busted again? Another Twenty Eight Thousand again after two years? Probably even less this time! I hope this concern of mine will reach the Samsung Head Office in Korea! Can you please do something about this you people? The money I used to buy your product was hard earned money! Another irritating thing is I was charged Php 650.00 for the simple check-up by the service technician. If nothing is done with this complaint, I will never patronize any of your products again and will surely go to the extent of telling friends and acquaintances to do the same. You know what the power of social media is nowadays! This is not in anyway some sort of blackmail! I just do not want other innocent consumers to go through the same inconvenience and throw away hard earned money as I did! My name is Ricardo Generoso Panotes and I can be reached at my cellphone # [protected], Landline # 660-7898 and at email address ricky.panotes@diamondlab.com.ph or at ricky12072003@yahoo.com.

LCD LN 74061F Samsung LCD is clicking off and on, splotchy picture and vertical colored lines. I have to turn off and on again and again to get a picture. Increasingly taking more times and more striped colors and less picture. I am so disappointed in Samsung LCD tv's. I paid more than normal to get a Samsung, as I was told they were reliable. Now after barely 3 years 1800+ tv is no longer working. All of the posts seem to confirm a very poor product. Please do not waste your money on this DEFECTIVE PRODUCT!

I purchased a SAMSUNG LCD TV Model LA32B530 from M/s Tirumala Music Centre (P) Ltd., Begumpet, Hyderabad on 27-02-2010 and he offered me a SAMSUNG Digital Camera Model EC-ES10ZBBB along with it free of cost. But till date he did not delivered the same. Whenever, contacted, they are giving stock reply that 'STOCK IS NOT AVAILABLE. I am ready to take delivery of another camera, but He is not considering.

I wish to find out whether this free offer is from the dealer or from SAMSUNG company. What should I do now. Please advise me.

I also bought an LCD 61" for $1800 and after 14 months it started turning intself on and off repeatedly. I had to unplug the TV just to make it stop. The repair man told me it's a common problem with Samsung. I can't believe after only a year that this has happened. I've owned less expensive TV's that have lasted years and years. Samsung is garbage and they don't care. Korean crap that's asssembled in Tijuana.

Customer Support Services Manager,
I am an Indian Air Force Officer, I had purchased a samsung LCD TV from M/s Classic Electronics Siliguri in Sep - Oct 2008, when I was posted at Bagdogra. While purchasing, the dealer's rep (Mr Suman) indicated that the free wall mounting could be taken from the service centre either in Siliguri or the next posted place. Now I have finally reached with my family at Bidar (Karnataka). So I registered online thru my mobile for getting the wall mounting fixed thru local Samsung dealer (Gulbarga). My BP No. is [protected]. Promptly, The dealer in Bidar (thru Gulbarga Dealer) came and handed over the wall mounting brackets for fixing and was to come next day for fixing it. But after some time I got a call from Mr Reddy ( rep of Gulbarga dealer) that I have to pay Rs 600/- for purchasing the Bracket.

While purchasing I was told the this wall mounting bracket would be given free, whenever and wherever I get it installed. Now I am being asked to pay Rs 600/-? Kindly clarify this aspect at my email id amknaidu@yahoo.co.in

I also have a LN R408D. I bought it 22months ago together with a five year extended warranty offered by Best Buy. A day before Thanksgiving, the TV made the same pop when I turned it on and kept clicking but no picture or sound came on. I called BB and was told the best they could do was Dec. 9 for a service call. Of course I was not happy about that and after several conversations BB ordered an outside technician to make a call on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

The diagnosis is that the TV had shorted. Its supposedly a common problem every 18 to 24 months. If I had no warranty it would cost me about $700.00 to repair. The original cost of the television was $1, 800.00.

Samsung only stand by a year manufacturer's waranty. It shows you just what a cheap, badly manufactured product they put out when they do not want to stand behind their products. Something like the car companies that are asking to be bailed out right now.

The customer service at BB was extremely bad. The rep. kept repeating "mam, I can't" "ma'm I don't know".

At Samsung, I was told that the warranty ran out and they were no longer responsible and that my TV was working okay. ?

I have never experience such crap in my life.

Samsung is making a product which is selling for $1800. Breaking down every 18 to 24 months at a cost of $700 - $800 to repair and when I bought the TV I was told it would last for 20 years. Therefore, the full amount of the TV will run me $9, 800 to 10, 000. Hurrah. I am a rich person on a fixed income who just enjoys my tv.

No wonder big corporations pay executives big paychecks, benefits, bonuses. When things go wrong, just ask for a bailout at the taxpayers expense because the poor employees will not have a job. The company never cared to make a decent product in the first place.

Wake up America. You stink in Customer service and manufacturing. I have a RCA TV, for 25 years and an old coloured Zenith that still works.

Clean up your act. You are ripping everyone off.

Samsung french door refrigerator

I purchased a stainless steel french door refrigerator model rf266aash on 11/10/2007. The refrigerator stopped cooling on 2/14/2008. I notified samsung and the store where it was purchased on 2/14/2008. A repairman came on 2/19/2007 and stated the computer was defective. He ordered another board and it did not come in until 2/26/08. It was installed and the repairman said the fans are working and I should not open it or store any food in it for 24 hours. He left and 3 hrs later I checked and the fans were not running and the temperature was 69 degrees in the fridge and freezer. This morning, 2/27/2008, it is at 70 in the fridge and 74 in the freezer. I called samsung yesterday and they were not helpful and rude. They said the repairman needs to come back. I called the repair company and they never returned my call. I called this morning and they said they would fit me in but could not give me a time. Be wary of samsung products as the customer service is terrible. I have had to eat out every day because I do not have anyplace to store perishable food. This is quite an expense on top of the huge inconvenience. I want a refund so I an purchase a reliable brand but know this will be a battle not easily fought. My next step is consumer affairs and the attorney general for nj. I will then approach the media.

Like so many others we bought a Samsung french door fridge. After only 6 mths the refrigerator had a cooling problem. Called for service. After 4 trys the "technicians" finally got it fixed. Another 5 mths & the ice maker quit. Called again. Got a decent tech this time. Got fixed. Now almost a year after buying the cooling system on the fridge is going out again. When you spend almost $2k for a unit it should work for many years. This whole line seems to be a giant lemon. Maybe Samsung should follow Toyota & have a major recall or at the very least refund 1/2 of our purchase price. I would support a class action suit.

I upgraded from my D900 in September 2007 to the U700. Within weeks from upgrading the silver started peeling off from the face of the handset. I contacted Samsung and it was arranged that a new face be fitted to my phone in East London at the Vodacare Centre. This was done in October 2008.

Again within a few weeks the silver started to wear off. I once again contacted Samsung and this time it was arranged for the handset to be collected from me and returned to Samsung for evaluation. I was this time round issued with a brand new handset from Samsung. This was in the beginning of December 2008.

Again, the silver peeled within a few weeks. I emailed Natasha at Samsung and once again my handset was sent to Johannesburg in January 2008. This time round another new face was fitted.

I was guaranteed that the new face is of a superior quality and that the finish has been improved and that it would never show signs of peeling.

Unfortunately once again, new face and all, white is showing through the silver, and this after I left the plastic protective film on for as long as possible. My phone is scratch free, I take exceptional care of it and this problem is definitely not related to misuse or abuse.

As can be seen from above, I have now had 4 replacements (including the original handset on upgrading). And also bear in mind I only got this phone 5 months ago. This has been a great inconvenience each time as I do not have a spare handset (D900 given to my daughter). I have had to make use of a borrowed Motorola C250!

I have never before experienced such inconvenience and disappointment. I have had 3 other Samsung handsets prior to the U700, and never experienced any difficulty with them.

The above was emailed to Samsung Customer Support. I received a phone call after this saying that Samsung is prepared to give me another handset model, but that I will have to pay in.

I am not prepared to pay in on another handset. When I upgraded to the U700 I had to pay in to get the phone as at that stage it was not free on my current package with Vodacom. I paid in happily as I wanted the phone and was under the impression that I would have it for 2 years until my next upgrade, so it seemed worth it at that stage.

I also do not see why I should pay in after I was the one being inconvenienced through all this and that the defect was not as a result of anything I did wrong.

This is shocking and I am highly disspointed in Samsung.

I bought a Samsung Home Theate system and it broke in the first 6 months I had it. They send me a replacement...it broke within the first two month. I called Samsung to make sure they were sending me new products and they admitted they don't give customers new models they send out refurbished ones. I asked for a new model because I paid full price for a new model initially and they told me too bad. I spoke with a manager and they also told me too bad. I will never buy Samsung again.

Samsung bad quality product!

My two month old barely used DVD drive stopped reading dvd's. When submitting a form to return the item, was given a confirmation number and told where to send it at my expense. Over a month later, the dvd drive was sent back by Hinet systems unopened. No reason for the return was given. I phone up customer service and was told the RMA number I put on the outside of the box was incorrect. That was the same RMA number I was told to put on the outside of the box.

So I was told to redo the online form, think treated me like it was fault. I did online again. Again I get the same invalid RMA number I was told wouldn't work. I call again. And told they don't accept optical drives in Canada. It would be sent to the states from Hinet in Missausaga. Again I tell them I sent it there and it was returned back to me unopened and I had to pay for shipping there and to receive it back.

I also find out I wasn't suppose to pay for shipping at all, it was suppose to be billed to their UPS account. I've gotten no where with them, have talked with over 5 people trying to put the blame on me. And no one wants to believe that the email they send from their people is telling me incorrectly what to do. I'm out the $35.00 I paid for the piece of junk OPP drive, plus the $21.68 for all the shipping back and forth.

I'm treated like a lair, idiot or criminal. I don't even want to own the samsung monitors I bought over the years and when they finally quit working I'm going back to Viewsonic.

I will never own anything samsung again after this experience. I finally gave up, threw the useless drive out and cried over this.

Samsung bad quality product!

There is a 3 year warranty on the monitor. I have had it only 7 months, it is in pristine condition and it just stopped working. Following the terms of the warranty, Samsung sent a replacement which is a "refurbished" monitor that had a crack on the base and was dusty. They will now replace this with another refurbished monitor. I paid for and expected better quality. I will not trust any of Samsungs products in the future.

Six months back again complaint persist for which complaint lodged. Company person took the refrigerator with them telling that complaint can only be rectified in their service centre. After few days samsung told me that the defect in refrigerator is not repairable. Till date neither the value amount is refunded & nor the refrigerator is returned. Now samsung people are compelling me to approach Consumer court to protect my rights. Samsung Refrigerator : Customer Ref. no.[protected]

I have a samsung top loader washing machine bought almost 3 years ago. Let me tell you how TERRIBLE this product is! First let me start we had a samsung front loader also broke and flooded our laundry room and living room. We replaced it with another samsung but this time top loader. Why we bought another samsung because we got a discount at best buy. Worse mistake! We have had 2 repairs on our top loader first costing us 200 the 2nd repair 450. We tried calling samsung and asked what can they do about this product. They said they will take my complaint but cant do anything about it. I asked to have someone contact me when someone higher up acknowledges the problems that we have encountered. (Have not heard from anyone) long story short.. dont buy ANY samsung washers ESPECIALLY the electronic ones because there are SO many sensors that you need to replace! Please reconsider purchasing a samsung washer! Its a major headache and a huge waste of your time trying to contact maintenance and dealing with very unhelpful samsung staff!

I am so disappointed in Samsung products! I thought at first it was just the plasma tvs that was bad. I paid $1300 cash for my tv on sale, and one day I turned it on and it just cracked out of the blue. Did some research and many other people where complaining of the same thing with their 58' Samsung plasma tv. So now I give their phones a go. Oh why did I do that? I have several lines with Samsungs 5 phones and we are having so many problems. We didn't have problems with our Motorola or our HTC phones, but now that we have Samsung it's constant problems. This product cost to much to be so problematic. It's made beautifully but it works terrible. Samsung please stand behind your product! Your screens do not last on your devices, and it is not far to your consumers that is shelling out all of this hard earned cash for repairs and replacements. I have 4 Samsung 5s and I will not purchase another Samsung product or advice anyone to until you improve your product!

I purchased a Samsung SL-M2875FW/XAA printer and the customer support is a joke every 2-3 weeks the scanner function fails to work because the pcs can't see the printer. But you can still print no problem. After poorly written customer care email to reload firmware I get them to remote in and they apply the same patches I already have and they say that will work fine just restart your pc. Fine after restart it still doesn't work. But I have figured out that by reinstalling the scanner software from the Samsung cd it works again but it's a pain every 2-3 weeks . I will never buy Samsung junk again I called Samsung demanding my money back and they claim it's a hardware problem and to take it to the repair center. Next printer will be HP

I purchased one of your washers at BransMart USA. The washer is minimally used
as I am single and I of not have kids. I was told by my friends to do not buy Samsung
products because they break down easy. Unfortunately I did not listen to my
friends. After 3 years, the washer is died. The last washer I had before I
decided to replace it worked for 12 years, the only thing I had to replace was
the belt. It was made in the USA. The Samsung washer died after 3 years.
Unfortunately I have not thought about extending the warranty because I never
thought that it would break down after 3 years.

I
will never go back to BrandsMart USA because they should told me that Samsung
products are not reliable. I will never buy anything made by Samsung the rest
of my life. I feel scammed.

Our Samsung lcd tv just said poff in the morning five days ago. It was barely three years old but after reading how bad their customer service is and how crappy their quality really is i found it useless to repair it. The picture was average and the sound was crap from the start. It came with an free dvd and that one was dead after one year.
My wife´s Samsung cellphone only lasted eight months before it too was broken and Samsung told us it was no use to repair it hmmmmm. No more Samsung crap in our house ever again, it´s just a waste of money. Samsung must have the worse quality in the world and it seems it just getting worse and worse.

I purchased Samsung Galaxy i5510 on 11/06/2011 what they claim to be the one with less SAR (radiation). Looks are good worked for 6 days then display went OFF. Horrible - what else to say. Took it to a service centre and the response was replacement could be done only if it was within 4 days of purchase. They told the touch screen display is dead. So samsung guarantees its product for just 4 days. I dont understand how they tested these products before bringing it to the market. I suggest Never buy a Samsung product in your life.

Hi ALL BE CAREFUL IF you select any SAMSUNG product. Quality cannot be guaranteed.

Samsung poor quality product!

I made the mistake of purchasing a samsung inverter air coditioner model sh12bwha in august. It worked briefly. When we contacted the service agent he diagnosed the problem as lying with the inverter. Replacement parts were ordered and after 4 weeks the wrong part was sent from sydney. Three weeks later the right part arrived and was installed by the service agent. The air con worked for three whole days! And then broke down again. One service agent advises he no longer will work for samsung and the other one cannot come for 4 weeks!

We have made over 40 calls and emails to samsung and related companies. No satisfaction yet. Have handed complaint to consumer affairs. We wait with bated breath. Oh yes, no one sells samsung airconditioners in darwin any more. I wonder why? Did I purchase the last one? I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Samsung dropped calls!

My husband and I purchased new phones in Nov, payed almost 300.00 which also made us renew a 2 yr contract with them. After getting the phones we continued to have problems with no signal and constantly dropped calls or just plain not getting any ring. I went in to complain and was told the phones were missing some updates that it should take care of it. NOPE went in again they said there was nothing wrong with our phones that our areas tower was being worked on, that it should be ok in a couple weeks. During all this time our 30 days was running out to get different phones... We finally today went to the cooperate office and spoke to someone there and he advised us that the samsung phones do not work in our area, and in fact there weren't even any TOWERS! So we were filled full of bs from these people so our 30 days would elapse. We have threatened to cancel our new 2 yr. contract that they roped us into, and we will REFUSE to pay it. At&t needs to be stopped from taking advantage of innocent people. The bill itself is enough with there hidden charges and fees!

Samsung freezer

I bought a samsung refrigerator 2 years ago and have had freezer problems since then. The freezer is on the lowest temperature and ice cream is so hard it cannot be dipped. The refrigerator is on the highest temperature and everything is warm. We run out of ice constantly & the freezer keeps freezing up. We have had the repairman out 4 times and he always says its fixed but it never is. I am going to call samsung & request a new refrigerator!

Samsung terrible quality product!

We lost power to the local community. All power in my house was dead. When power came back on the samsung refrigerator would not run. I contacted samsung support services. They told me since I did not have an extended warranty they would not help me. I have phoned several appliance repair companies and have had no luck with anyone who will service a samsung appliance. I have had this dead refrigerator for two weeks. It is one and a half years old. I thought samsung products were top of the line. Where is the support service? All I wanted was someone to tell me how to fix it or who to call to fix it. I understand there would be a cost because I did not purchase the extended warranty. I was told by several appliance service technicians not to buy samsung because of lousy support service.

Most disappointed!

Samsung refrigerators with electronic controls have a demonstration mode used by retail stores to show the product. The lights work but the compressor is shut off. The problem I just had is that the demo mode can be triggered by a power outage or surge. It is easily fixed by holding two buttons on the control panel, but we were out of town for a few days and lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. In my opinion this is a design flaw. Refrigerators should run when plugged in and should restart whenever power is disrupted. They should not revert to a mode only used by retail stores.

Samsung refrigerators have a known "design flaw"
They have recalled many models in the UK for this same problem.
Check Samsungs UK website .
Go to Support and then to News and Alerts.
Also check out Youtube.
Search Samsung and watch the "Watchdog" video.
We should all keep complaining until they admit the defect !

I purchase a brand new Samsung refrigerator om 12-26-09 with model RF265ADWP/XAA. The compressor is not working. When I contact the retail and Samsung, they send technical to check and will replace but not. I wait one day then call them. They said will send another one to replace and I wait another day. The technical told me the compressor is dead and asking me to wait. During the phone call, they always told me different story. First time, they said we are not sure will you return or not, so not ask one to replace it. Second time, they said we don't have part. Third time, they said we fix the problem for you already temp. Your cooling is working. (the compressor is dead, how the cooling work?) Then they said we don't have tool to fix. Then they said we have tool but the boss is on vacation. Finally, they said we did overnight oder and the compressor is arrived but the tool is not arrived. When I call the Samsung and the retail store, they don't really help on solve the question. Only ask me to wait. They pulled my refrigerator away and only said we can give your money back.
Not sure why they didn't detect the compressor is bad and sold to customers.

Will not purchase from that retail store and the same brand refigerator any more.
The rude thing is when I told to Samsung customer support that te technician told me there is no part, they told me to order from J&J myself. I purchase new and why I need to order the part myself to fix?

I am totally agree the above complain. They didn't show up and not give you a call. Just keep quiet and tell a lie.

I totally agree. Samsung's after sales service is pathetic .I had a terrible experience currently.Despite many calls, the service engineer could not visit on time and it is well over 15 days, the problem could not be fixed. I would not recommend anyone buying samsung's products

Purchased Samsung sxs refrigerator RS 257 BARB...appears to be a problem product & Samsung unwilling to admit...Problem is temp is fridge & freezer suddenly just jumps to maybe 60 degrees & 40 degrees in freezer...so everything thaws & is ruined. Refrigerator side had a FAN that was noisy then it stopped totally & now temp STAYS at 60 degrees. Seeing MANY other complaints re: Samsung & their "piece of S@IT" product...Repair folks estimate $200 just to replace FAN...that'll go bad again (replacing inherently defective parts with the same is insane)...SAMSUNG has proven their reputation by the quality of their products...UNWORTHY of purchasing ANY of their products...PEOPLE DON'T BUY SAMSUNG...NOT WORTH IT.

I have the same problem I having problem on a side by side silver nando fridge which is just out of its extended warranty and would like somebody to repair it which just possibly the thermostate but with no joy I am staying in Brits and has phoned Brits Aplliances with no result doesn`t even bother to come out and the same with other so called refrigeration repair specialists

I must assume that we have underqualified people in our country as far as specialized services are concerned and samsung itself let me think of the Delta Motor company which is the worst globally

Again, a specific model number would be useful here.

also, when power goes out, then comes back on, there is usually some "surging" which can, and does, damage circuit boards - especially in rural areas! Surge protection is highly recommended for items with circuit boards! Cheap insurance.

Samsung parts no longer available!

I bought a samsung refrigerator on july 7, 2003. I boutgh a sr-l627evss 21.9 pc and in may of 2007, a shelf on my door cracked. Since I bought a prolonged guarantee, I called the company for the guarantee and they sent a repairman within two weeks to look at my fridge. After one month, no news. I called the repair company duclos & freres and they said they are still looking for the part and they will get back to me. It took 4 more months and finally I got a call from the owner benoit duclos and he says he cannot get the part anymore samsung has discontinued the part.

For a refrigerator that is below 5 years old and parts are already being discontinued is ridiculous. I paid nearly $1800 for this fridge and the service is absolutely lousy. This was the first and last time I will be buying any samsung product for the rest of my life. Basically it is like telling me to spend another $1800 for a new fridge because the part I need is discontinued. It may only be a shelf but what is next to break on this fridge?

Hopefully someone will read this and find me a goddamn part for my fridge.

Samsung technical problem, no picture displayed

Dear sir / ma'am,
We purchased around more than a dozen plasma television for our stores in delhi, ncr and jaipur. One of the televisions is giving trouble in our delhi store as theere is no display coming in the screen. We called the service department but they are quoting us very high by around rs. 22,000. But we fail to understand that such an expensive item and such a big brand name is giving such trouble. The television is mounted at our payment points and handled by key person with power suppl y control system. It is only 2 years old. It was working good till guarntee / warranty period. We request the concerned department to call upon us and sort the issue. We being a loyal customer of this brand and such a heavy buyer request to re-consider and do the needful at the earliest.

Samsung samsung's inability to service their clients!

The temperature on the fridge side of our double door refrigerator wasn't cooling anymore, the temperature just kept on going up. On friday the 16th november 07 I phoned several repair companies to come and look @ the fridge and to my surprise nobody was willing to come and even look at a sumsung. As soon as I mentioned the make of the refrigerator they were not interested. The problem seems to be samsung, they never have any stock, you wait days for them to respond to your request and it seems they just have this don't care attitude. It seems people in the us have the same problem, and I thought it was just because we were in africa. I have always regarded samsung as being a good quality product. But with non existent after sales service no more samsung for me and I will not recommend the product either. Ps still awaiting part from samsung!

I purchased a refrigerator in January 2017. For the 2nd time the freezer door is broken. It is constructed of plastic at stress points. These break upon normal use.
I had the door replaced once under warranty. However, within a couple of months the same problem arose. I am now looking at a broken, unsightly freezer door.
Samsung very GRUDINGLY after much "arm twisting", has agreed to replace the door one more time. They (of course) will not guarantee I will not have the same problem again.
I requested a replacement fridge or a PRO-RATED refund so I can purchase another appliance. I am getting ZERO cooperation from customer service.
Do NOT buy a Samsung appliance as they do NOT stand behind their products. OR you will wind up like me - looking at an ugly fridge for 10 years.

I purchased the samsung rfg298 french door refrigerator.
After a power failure the display was non-responsive
This refrigerator is poorly designed.
When returning from a power outage or brownout, the power may not restart cleanly. This may result in the processor locking up.
A service call is needed. The on-line service request is very painful.
As an engineer - I find this problem disturbing and an indication of a poor design. Microprocessors should have watchdog circuits to prevent this type of problem. The most rudimentary reliability testing would have caught this problem.
I believe this is another example of korea dumping poorly designed product on the usa, and using low prices to get us to buy their junk.

We have been without a freezer for 6 weeks! The freezer is part of a Samsung refrigerator that is less than 2 years old. We bought the fridge and freezer from Sears and bought the extended warranty. It's been so bad I will never buy an appliance or anything with a warranty again from Sears and I've been a longtime loyal customer. We called Sears initially and they scheduled an appointment about a week in to the problem. They cancelled twice and finally showed up 3 weeks in to the problem. The repairman said we needed a part and to call Sears back once it arrived. I did just that. The part took a week to arrive. I called right away and they said the soonest appointment was 2 weeks out again! They came out the 2nd time and the repairman said it was "fixed". Well, it wasn't fixed. We're still without a freezer and we're now 6 weeks in to it. The soonest appointment is October 27th, another 2 weeks out again so by the time they arrive I will have been 8 weeks without a freezer. This is totally unacceptable. I have tried to escalate this to managers and all they can say is they don't have enough people to do the repairs. Really? I hope others read this so they know to stay away from Sears when it comes to products with extended warranties, unless you're willing to live without it for at least 2 months or more! By the way, I lost a bunch of food when the freezer first went out. They have not offered to reimburse me for the lost food yet, but I just found out I can claim it. Nothing like being proactive with customer service (not!).

My new fridge thats barely two months old started giving me problems.. I contacted the company I purchased it from, who then contacted samsungs service centre... Its been more than two weeks since the initial query, and after speaking to a call centre agent regularly, I still have no joy. I even spoke to the head of the department - mr aslam ali, who now doesnt take my calls, and is also giving me attitude.. I havent been spoken to with such disrespect ever before. The service is really pathetic. Actually its really sad to see that an international company like samsung developing a reputation for bad service, and its even sadder that the people who are there to help, dont actually care...
I definitely wont be puchasing another samsung product.

The customer support team are not able to find the root cause, he just wasting my time. I'm really frustrated to get the support from Samsung support team.

Samsung worst service of samsung

I have a samsung colour tv in the name of my father sri i. P. Sharma, model no. Cb-5339z, it goes out-of & ndash;service in january 2007, I have repair it from authorised samsung service centre (Vision cool service) 2, new taratala road, kolkata & ndash; 700 088, on 18th january 2007 of paying rs.200 / - (Cash receipt no.0193) as service charges.
After a gape of 6 months the tv set again gone off, this time my tv set gone to the workshop of the same authorised samsung service centre (Vision cool service) , they have return the set after repair and changing five parts including smps, the day it came to my house it didn’t work and it goes again to the work shop and return back on next day on 7th october 2007, with a charge bill of rs.2047 / - (Cash receipt no.5813). No service engineer came with the set to install it properly, the guys who came to my house at the time of pick-up and delivery they did not know about the position of cable and cd-player wires and even where is the switch of the tv set, there after not a single call came from samsung service centre.
After a month on 10th of november 2007 it again goes off, I registered a complained on 12th november and very next day a service men came to my house and said that smps is goes off, which was changed just before month and the charges I have to pay because it already complied 30 days of service, I said I will not pay, because it repaired just a month ago, he replied he discuss the matter in company and a call me, after 24 hours no call has came from samsung service centre. If every month smps goes off then I have to pay rs.500 / - just for repairing purpose, which means spending rs.6000 / - every year just for maintaining a sumsang colour tv. I think it will be better for me to purchase every year a new tv set except samsung.
I am really filling very sad to say that the company like sumsang has poor service and thinking about the future relation with the company.

We purchased a Samsung LN40A550 and were quite pleased with the design and picture quality. Eight days after the warranty expired, the tv died. No picture, no sound, and it would not power off unless unplugged. Samsung customer service and the floor management in the call centre took a very "too bad - sucks to be you" attitude. Extremely disappointing. Even in the suffering auto industry I know they have some measure of goodwill after warranties expire. Where my husband works it is 20, 000 kms "or so". Samsung does not stand by their products and does not care about customer retention, even when given the opportunity to do so.
Samsung anything? Never again! Tell your friends.. I'm telling mine!

Samsung faulty washing machine

I think the below mail recentlty written to the dept should explain everything:

Hi,

This e-mail is addressed to mr. Pramod kr. Rai, in charge of the ghaziabad service centre and, is my last try before lodging this as a complaint with the consumer court.

To start with I purchased a samsung fully automatic washing machine (Model no: wa82hag) in jan 2006 from ghaziabad.

The machine worked really well till mid of 2007 and since then I have constantly been in touch with the samsung customer care and the so called engineers that visit my place.

There have been 15 phone calls to the customer care in the last 4-5 months for 5-6 problems and there have been at least 10 visits to my place (I have the records, and I know that you also have it).

Now after:

Wasting 2-3 days every month with samsung service department
Phone being banged just because they did not have an answer to my polite query (Mr. Saket of your department to be precise)
Hundreds of fake promises being made both by engineers and customer care
Senior engineers coming to my place (Charanjit of your dept) and committing that I will call you by evening because there is a part that's missing
Senior engineer coming to my place and boasting that once I visit and repair a product that product never gets faulty again

My concern is that why the product cannot be replaced as:

Having so many complaints in such a short duration of time is not enough
All the experience that I have and managing a team of 100 members in my office, am I foolish enough not to understand that the machine has something that cannot be rectified
The warranty will end in 4 months time and this has been dragging since the last 4 months
You do not have an engineer who can rectify the problems
If the machine has a warranty of 2 years that means it can be replaced within that and not just 2-4 months after purchase (As per your engineers)

Going forward:

I will be more than happy if some senior person who has the authority to get this piece replaced gives me a call ([protected])
I will not be surprised (After the last 4 months) if this e-mail goes to trash and I do not get a response

Please understand:

The importance of customer service
The impact it will have on samsung as I will not be able to recommend anyone to go for samsung after my experience.

Samsung samsung manual only in spanish

I bought one of your refrigerators on october 6, 2007. Unfortunately, I opened and cleaned it before checking the manual. The basic parts were already installed but there was one part that I did not know where to fit. When I checked the manual, to my surprise it is written in spanish only. This manual is of no use to me. I then went on the internet and this product was not listed either. What do I do. How do I get the information. I suggest that your manuals be written in at least two languages. Also I am asking that the information for this particular product be posted on your website so I can have access to it.
