Precision Door Service Have been waiting for over a month to receive a refund that precision over charged me.

On Feb 28th a rude and very condescending technician/ sales person saw a crippled 80 year old that had a door in need of repair. The sales person's attitude indicated he was dealing with a senile/stupid old man that could be sold very easily. His recommendation was to purchase an entire new garage door or at best a new section that probably would not match. Cost would be between $800 and $1800- delivery would be 8 to 10 weeks 40% payable immediately. I took the $800 option, paid $312 dollars, and off he went. Thinking about the transaction. I decided to get another opinion. On March 2nd the original door was repaired in 30 minutes for a cost of $150. We immediately called Precision to cancel the order. They assured me the $312 check would either be destroyed or returned. On March 6th Precision cashed my check and I have been trying to get a refund ever since. Unfortunately an 80 year old on a fixed income is always in need of resources. Precision could not care less. Where do they find people like you. It is April 6th and no refund in sight. Thanks for your cooperation.

Desired outcome: Refund of $312 immediately. Order # 6276207

Did not necessarily have a complaint about product, But business ethics of this company have a serious lack of integrity and honesty especially when dealing with senior citizens. WHAT HAS THIS COUNTRY COME TO.

Precision Door Service Garage door spring

Called and had the technicians out, to check on garage door springs and was aware of the service fee but that it would be waived if I scheduled them to do the work, and I had every intention of going with them until they gave me a price of 12oo$ I was like really? Absolutely not, wanted to charge 309 dollars a piece for each spring and then gave me all this other stuff that was wrong with my 5 year old garage door, which I have a hard time believing. I called and put a call into the manager, and he was out on a call and will call me back. Have not heard from him yet and I think right there is a problem that there is not another manager to handle phone calls. I called another reputable garage door company in the area for over 40 years and the price for the two springs, cables and rollers was more than half less than what these people were trying to charge me. Scamming people is wrong, you should be ashamed to call your self a business with good customer service, all these people that have had good experience with you clearly have never looked into the prices before and just think it's a normal price. Well I am telling you people get other estimates first and I hope you give me my service fee back because your poor customer service will catch up to you soon.

Desired outcome: to refund my service fee of 85.00 dollars

Precision Door Service Service of garage door openers and overpriced keypad.

On or about 10/18/20223 I scheduled service for my garage door openers. The young guy that showed up did little or nothing. He installed a keypad and charged me over $700. The problem that I was having I am still having today. The charge was excessive and poor service. I am requesting a refund with the exception of the exterior keypad. I am willing to pay a fair price for the keypad but not the excessive amount that I was charged.

Desired outcome: REFUND

Precision Door Service Excessive cost of garage door opener

I was excessively overcharged for a new garage door opener from Precision Door Service of Las Vegas. I ended up paying $2,538.85 for a Liftmaster 84501 Garage Door Opener with installation, something which they received from Liftmaster for between $150-$200 (Liftmaster:[protected]). I had originally called Precision Door Service to fix a short circuit in my original garage door opener. When the repairman came and said they wouldn't be able to find a short circuit even if there was one. I was desperate to ensure my home was secure again since I needed a working garage door opener to secure the garage door. The person who was supposed to just fix my opener had me sign in 3 different spots on his phone for the work. It wasn't until the work was complete and they were leaving that I was given a printed copy of everything that I could read. I just wanted my opener fixed but felt I had no choice but to buy a new one since the repair person told me he wouldn't be able to find a short circuit if there was one and I needed my garage door secure for my safety in the home. I felt under pressure to make a quick decision to purchase the opener while the repair person was at my home before having a chance to research prices. After the repairman left, it was then I read the paperwork, researched it & discovered how excessive the price was I was charged. In addition to the price for the unit, they also charged separately for parts of the unit that were supposed to be included with the unit per Liftmaster. I thought there was a pricing mistake made by the repair person and brought it to the attention Neil at the Precision of Las Vegas but he said that's the price and nothing can be done.

Being a Senior and military widow, I feel I was taken advantage of by Precision Door Service of Las Vegas. I called Precision to repair the opener I had. I feel they took advantage of the situation of my home safety concern to say my opener could not be fixed and then selling me an excessively overpriced garage door opener for a total of $2,538.85; something they paid $150-$200 for. I had no idea what new openers cost and mistakenly trusted this company to do what was ethically right and not take advantage of a person. Like a fool I trusted them and want to ensure other individuals don't get taken advantage of like me.

Desired outcome: Adjustment of my credit card charge to a reasonable amount. I think with labor that would be around $800 or less for the hour work and their cost for the unit around $200 or less.

Precision Door Service Precision door opener and spring

Having never opened the garage door until I lost power to the house, I noticed the door was extremely hard to open. It was installed about 20 months ago and the springs are covered by a 3 year warranty. I believe the springs were never adjusted properly when initially installed so I called to have them adjusted under warranty for poor workmanship. To my surprise the company said there will be a service fee of $89. I made an appointment with them to come because in addition to the unadjusted spring, the sensors failed due to flooding in my garage. I understand this damage is not covered by warranty. The serviceman adjusted the spring and replaced the sensors, not the motor, and the fee came to $225. I couldn't believe it. i could have bought a new motor with sensors for $125. The only sensor that works with a precision door opener is one made by precision. I regret calling for service because I should have replaced the unit, and adjusted the spring myself.

Desired outcome: I expected a fee of about $100 not $225

Precision Door Service Garage door repair

I can’t help but feel very taken advantage of by this company. My garage door was broken and they came out and charged me $1,196.32 to fix it. At the time I thought it was pretty high but I needed my garage door fixed. After collecting quotes from five other local companies, the average cost to do the same repair is $475. This should be a crime. This company should be ashamed of themselves, taking advantage of a female to the extreme!

Invoice #[protected]

Desired outcome: I would like a refund in the amount of $721.32 to balance out the average local cost of this exact same repair.

Precision Door Service Garage door opener replacement

I am extremely disappointed with Precision garage door. I would like someone from the corporate office to contact me.

I believe I initially had someone out either

Monday 9/12 or Tues 9/13, the initial tech was Jameson and he tried very hard. He said my opener couldn't be fixed and i needed a new one. I ordered the Liftmaster [protected] for 950 installed.

He installed it the next day but the camera didnt work. He came back, the following day, still didn't work. His manager Bret came out on 9/16 and still didn't work. They said they need to order a new camera for it. I asked then to just swap the motor system and Bret said no.

Well, now it is October 6, and still the system is not right. No camera. No word from Precision. They had no problem cashing my 950.00 check.

I had them do it for convenience. Well that didn't work. I could have done it for 1/2 the price and have a working system.

This is unacceptable and I believe I deserve a rebate or credit. I also think that they should just replace the motor after this amount of time

I believe I deserve to hear from the corporate office for this. This is terrible customer service

Thank you

Desired outcome: This is unacceptable and I believe I deserve a rebate or credit, and they should just replace the motor after this amount of time

Precision Door Service Never received door we purchased 4 months ago.

Purchased full setup, door, springs, garage door opener with wifi. Promised it would be here in month, almost $4000.00. June 9 making payments but still no door. Precision Door still blaming distributor and now also getting yelled at messages and yelled at over the phone by a Deborah in San Antonio, Texas because I said this looks like theft. They have already postponed or reset installation date at least 5 times. Deborah also said Precision Door would refund me last 3 payments. Not a cent so far. Over promised and can't deliver or shady company?

Desired outcome: Refund and an apology. Extremely unprofessional

Precision Door Service Never ending price gouging

I have to recommend avoiding this company. Something malfunctions (and it's far too common) and you have to first; Contact them, which takes too long. Second; wait for some guy to come and "service your door" Third; Pay them $ 80 - $ XXXXX to allow you to have the freedom to get out of your own garage! You're stuck without them and you HAVE to pay a big chunk of change, even if the "technician" just has to replace a cotter pin or something. It's a great little scam - for 'Precision Door'... use them at your own risk!

Precision Door Service Garage door opener

The garage door was installed by precision only a couple of months ago. The remote has been working intermittently but today (Tuesday) the door wouldn't open--with my car in it. They said they could come out to take a look on Thursday between 9 - 1:00. Then they wanted to charge me--while it was under warranty. I recommend finding a company that has better emergency service!

Lost 1 remote control and call for a new one, but instead of getting help where to buy a new one they are sending a technician and the remote, for service charge of $79.99 plus the price of remote. This is a rip off.I just need a remote and you are paying for the service charge. To all future customers you need to think of this, that if something happened to your garage they are the only one who can service it. They don't know where to order a replacement. Disappointed customer. Olivia

Precision Door Service They did something with my door and it made some strange sound

I ordered door from the company www.precisiondoor.net, but I needed to ease the string. They made everything and installed the door, but it didn’t shut now. I called them again and they arrived to check it. I paid them twice for the installation and the door stood 2 weeks. But now it is difficult to close it and there was strange sound, which came from the lock or door, I wasn’t sure. Be aware of them, because no one knows what they have done with my door.

Precision Door Service Overpriced

Garage door stopped working and I called precision. Took a half afternoon off to meet the tech at our house. He informed us that the door would need heavier springs, new rollers and a saddle ( gear) replacement. Said the weight of the insulation added to the door was the issue driving the new, heavier springs. While the diagnosis appeared to be logical ( I've only been in the house < 1 year) he charged us $720 dollars for the work. Only $85 of this was labor- he was done in less than 30 minutes. Found out afterward I could have gone the springs for $50/ pair; $35 for the saddle gear and $25 for the rollers. I'm kicking myself for paying a 600% mark-up for these parts. Company is very slick on the way they rip you off and now I have my doubts about what was really needed.

Bait and Switch...Quoted $160.00 to replace broken a broken spring, after waiting all day, repairman showed up and gave three quotes ranging from $450.00 to $700.00. Then tried collecting $50.00 service charged that I refused to pay. I called another company and had it replaced for $220.00 the same day.

Precision Door Service Price gouging

AVOID PRECISION DOOR OF ARIZONA - and the Franchisee, Charan.

My garage Door opener quit working, and we all know how inconvenient that is in the summer-time in Arizona. So I called Precision Door because their website stressed honesty and integrity (they possess neither trait). Their website is ### - they did not give me a written quote before beginning the work; when I questioned the amount of the opener, I was told he would knock $100 off. It was still priced $200 over retail. Both the Tech and the woman answering the phone at Precision Door said "Oh our price sheets must be old" - what a [censored] excuse. They charged me $549 for a $349 Liftmaster Belt Drive Opener. Did not write any price for the install so I assumed it was included in the $549, and then once the work was completed wrote $125 on the invoice for installation. Prior to work commencing, I asked about the model without "MyQ Technology", I was told Liftmaster doesn't make it anymore and that all Liftmaster openers now have MyQ Technology. I checked the LIftmaster site - they DO sell belt drive openers without MyQ Technology, and since I don't plan to program it to a cell phone, I didn't need this. I could have gotten what I wanted priced from $249 to $359 - not $549 that I was charged. I was lied to.

Also quoted me $160 for the T- grove rubber bottom seal on the door (which did need replacing). He said the material was better than Lowe's or Home Depot, and was $20 per foot. Same material I find out is only $2.50 - $3.00 per foot quoted from other installers. He never mentioned any additional charge for the 5-7 minutes of labor it took to install the rubber seal and then tried to charge me $75 to install it, and would only come down to $50 when I told him that was absolutely ridiculous.

These people will not quote a price for openers over the phone (now I know why). I was really screwed and charged nearly twice what it would have cost me to have any other garage door service company in Phoenix do exactly the same work and install exactly the same opener. This should have cost $550 "high end" price; Precision Door charged $958.

The only price I was given in writing prior to work commencing was $549. and I was asked to initial the paperwork with only the $549 reflected at that time.
I assumed that the $549 included the install. It did not. My bad for not getting the full charges in writing and doing my due-diligence homework BEFORE calling them. However, Charan should be ashamed of the way he is price-gouging consumers, and the Precision Door corporate office should have 'price controls' in place to prevent their franchisees from doing this to people. Can't figure out for the life of me how Charan stays in business. Must be all NEW customers, because I can't imagine anyone calling them a 2nd time.

I called the company before the Tech began the install (he was just unpacking); no, there was no manager available. I have left two more messages, and nobody has called me back. I should have kicked him to the curb the minute my gut told me "this can't be right". I should never have let him proceed without a call back from the area manager.

In addition, when he was wiring the opener, he cut all the wiring back so far that future techs will have trouble accessing it. Another scame? If I have trouble with the connections, I won't call them back - I will call someone else and if they find the problem is with Precision Doors wiring maneuvers I will go after them for the repairs in court.

I work in the new home industry, and I can guarantee if I do not get a price adjustment, I will open my mouth so wide and spread the word Valley wide to avoid Charan's company at all costs - this is price-gouging at it's worst ... nearly 100% mark-ups on openers and charging 10 times the price on the rubber seal; taking advantage of people; tech who tried to tell me my roller-bearings were bad (nothing wrong with them); tried to tell me the spring was bad (nothing wrong with it) ... scammers all the way through! I also plan to file a complaint with the AZ Registrar of Contractors. What he is charging people is highway robbery - plain and simple, he is a crook.

I should have called around first; a couple calls (yep, two calls) and I would have realized that Precision Doors charges twice what their competitors charge. Wish I would have checked Yelp! It would have saved me a lot of money and regret.

P.S. On Yellow Pages, the owner of the franchise actually had the nerve to rate his own business and give himself 5 stars. Even used his own first name. Unbelievable!

Precision Door Service Poor Service

Absolutely terrible customer service here in SoCal. They tell you they'll call back - translation: Keep Waiting.
They tell you they'll get you an ETA - translation - they don't have it.
I tried to schedule a repair for something we spent $700+ on less than two years ago. No wonder they didn't want to do this.
The agonizing waiting on promises they never deliver is maddening.
There are plenty of places that will take less money and do a better job respecting your time.

Precision Door Service Ripoff

I googled and contacted this company for repairs of my snapped garage door cable. I was told that $59.99 will be charged for a preson to come and check and this charge also includes half an hour of labor. So I consented. This guy came up and started with 1200 dollars for tune-up of BOTH garage doors. When I insisted that I just wanted the snapped cable to be replaced, he said that he wil have to change the spring, pully and cable and that will cost me USD 392/-. I told him that his prices looked very high and asked him what is the cost they have to pay for the springs, and he mentioned that they cost them USD 120/- per spring. Based on that information, I asked him to go ahead and do the work. After the work was done and he had gone, for curiosity sake, I googled the price of spring, to my surprise the price was as low as USD 18/- per piece on Lowes. Then I called them and asked if the price of spring was really that high...they now mentioned that it is USD100. and mentioned that their springs last more cycles than the Lowe's and Home Depots. They also mentioned that they are willing to offer me some discounts and that my bill will be USD 212/- instead of USD 293. I told them that it is stil very high. This company is a RIPOFF...NEVER EVER FALL IN THEIR TRAP!
I this that they have ripped off thousands of "SATISFIED" customers, and all these customers need to fight to get their refund!
I am going to contact lawyers and take a collective action against this company.

Precision Door Service Hustler business model

These guys have a predatory business model. They invest in advertising and website to keep steady stream of new customers. When their reputation gets around they move to another area. I worked for these "technicians" for less than a week before we parted ways. I have to look at myself in the mirror, I don't know how they can. Like any trade, garage door service has some tricks and specialty tools. They can make your garage door work well because they know the tricks of the trade but then comes the lying and selling and outright fraud, especially towards senior citizens. After learning how to service and install garage doors my first day, the second through forth day was spent training me about how the business really works. There are no set prices. Technicians earn no wage. It is all commission. So they break stuff and lie to you about safety in order scare you into paying for overpriced parts. the springs can be overtightened to damage the torsion bar, rollers can be pulled out of alignment, normal drum wear is presented as a serious safety issue. They have no choice. If their call average is less than $500, they're not making any money and their boss won't keep 'em around for long. Nothing to do with quality work or customer satisfaction.

This is the problem with the internet; anyone at any time can post whatever they want. 1)How does anyone know this source is creditable. 2) has anyone considered that he is may be a competitor with the intent to smear his competition?
I would appreciate for this "gentleman" to step up
3) Technicians do not run a Precision Door Franchise, they are employed by the owners.
This poor guy must be having a hard time of it!

Nasty words from a competitor! There are companies out there that behave like this - Precision is not one of them - In business for over 25 years they're not going anywhere - yes the technicians, who all must pass certification - work on commission - that is why they are required to provide customers with a full inspeciton report and options on the repairs/service the customer wants.
BBB ratings of A & A+ don't come from scams - they come from honest hard work by solid professionals.. of which the original writer clearly is not.

Precision Door Service False advertising/overpricing

Yellow page ad offers $10.00 off service charge if ad is mentioned. Not so!
