Party City government help manager didn't help

I worked at party city a year ago and my manager had put in the wrong digit for my social and took TWO moves playing phone tag with me. I'm very fustrated because I wasn't able to submit my taxes. Because of his careless mistakes. He was very careless and not responsible he could have given me hr number and email but instead took it upon himself. I had called and he was out of town so I understand. Later he told me my number was incorrect .
WHICH wa as a lie because I made sure my number
Was correct and I called multiple times that week. We played phone tag for two months. Then later told me he had called me. Which I didn't receive those calls. When I would there he would kiss up to high management. If it benefits him he would do it.
This is government related and affects my family financially.
I also stated that I couldnt access my ADP. And he forgot to mention that to the hr provider and they fixed my social but I cannot resend my take form with no access to the account.

Party City employee (cassandra)

I went to the store 3 days agop. ago to print a banner for my daughter prom. I asked the cashier how do I work the printer she said it disentangle work. I asked if there was another store near by she said watching. I asked if she can call she said no you have to call your send. I asked did she gave the number she said no google it. I said the store don't communicate she said no abd walked away. Very rude. My daughter was in line I was still by the print nachine I walked up to my daughter and said let's go the printer nit working. She said wait the girl is talking about you calling you profanity names because you asked her to call the store. The cashier had know knowledge that the lady in line was my daughter and witness her talking badly fir no reason about her mom because she was pointing at me to the other cashier. Short black guy. I asked for a manager he cane out said he didn't know why she said the machine didn't work because it dies " he help ne with the banner " he also says he didn't understand why she would not call the store because we do assist customers when asked to calll another store. I'm very upset and so is my daughter. Her behavior is nit acceptable and should not be tolerated.

Party City cashier

Went to party city at 9:30 AM in the morning King to see about a banner the young lady was very rude and disrespectful she can't leave there over two hours then the manager came over I was speaking to him she was very rude and she called me a liar in front of the manager and while I was talking to the manager she started talking to me and I said to the manager you need to please ask her to be quiet which he didn't do so I said to him excuse me I said to her don't be so damn disrespectful to my speaking to you are speaking to the manager and I said to him is the kind of people you want working for you because she's very rude and disrespectful

Party City service; did not honor discount & free ship

I am a frequent shopper at Party City in Livingston NJ. I create fun centerpieces for all types of occasions. Going into your store last week proved very disappointing. I asked for a manager to help me find some items for 1 year old birthday centerpieces. The theme is CandyLand. The candy aisle was lacking in the quantities for many of the items I needed. The manager was unfortunately no help at all. She had no time & did not know her stock. She told me to order online & that she could not help me with the order. Some items that I needed were in store & not online so I needed to purchase from both places. My dilemma was that you were running a coupon for 30% of $150 which I easily spent between both places but could not get the discount because each purchase was under $100. The add also had a code for free shipping at $39 which I also did not get on my order. The order also said free ground shipping on orders placed in store but she would not take my order. I prefer to deal with local stores vs online sites if I find a good coupon that replicates the prices of less expensive online stores. I am very unhappy with this latest experience in your store & am strongly considering taking my business elsewhere.

Party City unethical behaviour

I just visited the Woodbridge, VA location (store 186) at 12:39 EST on 5/11/18 and was blown away by my experience there today. Upon checking out, I signed for my credit card purchase and a receipt failed to print. The computer screen read 0.00 balance due, so the cashier called the manager on the phone in the back, who told her that I didn't pay and needed to pay for the transaction still. Very confused, I quickly pulled up my bank app on my phone and showed the cashier where the pending charges had gone through to my bank so clearly the transaction went through and I had paid. The cashier agreed and called the manager to the front of the store. When the female Hispanic manager came to the front - she just kept insisting that I needed to pay again and repeated that the transaction didn't go through. I agreed to pay a 2nd time, if she could give me a receipt for cancelling the charges that were pending or some type of paperwork showing the transaction would be cancelled and reversed and the manager refused to. She had a computer printed copy of my transaction in her hand. At this point, I explained to the manager, that if the charges never reverse - how do I get it fixed without a receipt to come back with and she said she could not help me but insisted again that I needed to pay a second time. I refused to pay a second time without some type of evidence that I can resolve the first charge. I explained to her that she had a problem then and she said she did not have any problems, so I asked her to call the police because I believe she is committing theft and rather than call the police she called her supervisor and partially explained the situation, she clearly left out the part that I just wanted some type of paper trail because once I walk out the door, no one will help me without a receipt. Both the supervisor and the manager were unwilling to provide me a receipt or documentation showing me the first transaction (#49 register #1) would be cancelled therefore I could make the 2nd transaction. Again, I requested the police to be called then suddenly my receipt printed and so clearly my transaction went through and it would of gone through, so I would of been charged 2x and had no receipt to resolve this issue. I tried to explain to the manager that refusing to provide me a receipt (even hand written explanation with p.o.c) was very poor business practice and she said it was company policy. Although, I have a hard time believing it's a company policy - I am lodging my complaint with the company. What company doesn't provide receipts or point of contact information for a customer to return and resolve issues. Everything about being asked to pay twice and being refused a receipt is sketchy. I couldn't even decide not to purchase the items from the sketchy manager because my card had already been charged - I couldn't leave or they would call the police.. meanwhile I kept asking for the police to come ATLEAST then I would of had a paper trail of the issue so I could get it resolved. Please think this through - REGARDLESS if it is company policy or not - in this day and age - really?

I attempted 7 times from a PC laptop and iPAD to send PartyCity this complaint directly and their webpage for contact us goes to a error page with no other way to send the information so this is where I posted it.

You do realize when a transaction doesnt go through - on there end it says transacation in progress. Without it being posted - there is no way they can physically print or give you an actual copy of a cancelled transaction. I’m pretty sure if you were charged twice - The store would research and refund the second charge. On your bank app it shows a pending transaction. A pending transaction means a vendor has requested payment for your bank. It does not mean your bank has payed or you have been charged. So before making a complaint or acting irritate understand the situation with a calm head.

Party City your employees

I and my family went to one of your store yesterday and all your employee are very snotty and rude they also followed us all over the store like we were stealing and even followed us to the check outs where I was going to pay my over $100 in merchandise that we bought they single us out just because we were Hispanics they did not follow there own color just us which was uncalled for then I called to ask the name of the guy that was following us and the girl but they question me first and then they finally gave the guys name because I told them I was reporting to Corp office.

@Careareafea I am still reporting the man that was following me around. I am going to make sure that he is fired. Even if I need to lie and say he was hitting on me. Even if I have to lie and say he tried to feel me up. I will whatever it takes to get him fired. I hate white people. They are all racist. Even children are racist. I hope if he has children that his kids die from cancer. That is how much I hate him. He deserves to have his children die from cancer and watch them suffer.

You are being called stupid because you are playing the race card without proof. You are being told you were not raised right because you are playing the race card without proof. Whether you posted that comment about wanting the child to die from cancer or not, your playing the race card without proof is stupid. Party City multiple balloon orders/location complaint

I purchased multiple items for a birthday party in February and had an issue with the balloons. I ordered two gliders, a Thomas the Train and a Minnie Mouse, along with the 5 pack of pre packaged foil balloons for each. Upon leaving the store the biggest Minnie balloon (non-glider) popped and I had to go back in and have it re-done. During the birthday party the Minnie glider started to deflate and the largest Thomas balloon (non-glider) popped.

At the beginning of March I returned to the same location to place an order for a baby shower. I scheduled a Saturday pick-up for 2 weeks later because Sunday's hours wouldn't have given me enough time before the shower. I ordered a Scooby Dio glider and 4 latex balloons with extra helium to make them last longer. The following week of my original order I went in to add more balloons to the order. I saw a Scooby Dio glider sitting on the coubter. When I asked to add more to the order they told me that I didn't show up the Saturday before and had popped all the balloons. They wrote me down as a no show, however I didn't receive a phone call or anything. I proceeded to go over my order again and was ensured that Scooby would be fine sitting there for 2 weeks and that if he deflated he would be fixed no problem. I went in this past Saturday evening at 7:45 to pick up a foil baby shower balloon, 4 latex balloons and a Scooby Dio glider. I was informed that Scooby had popped and they didn't have another one. I never received a phone call that anything happened nor did the store order a replacement one. When I asked about it and complained I was told the closest store that had one was 30 minutes away (they would have been closed by the time I got there). When I asked what this store was going to do I was told they could refund the Scooby balloon. I told them I wanted all of my balloons refunded because this was unacceptable.

I have now had multiple issues with this one store and I will not return. I attempted to call Monday to speak with someone at corporate and was informed I needed to submit an email. I would like a follow up as these instances are unacceptable.

Party City store customer service

Store # 963, day before my son BIRTHDAY I came to the store half before close and picked up a balloom and I asked lady to put air on balloom and lady refuse to do it bc she said 30 minutes before close she said she couldn't do it I asked her why is only one balloon and I told her it was for my son birthday I don't know is bc she didn't like my accent she wasn't helpful at all. Next day I went again to the store which is far from where I live spending gas on my car I asked for manager who was only said sorry I would talk to her and nothing only said sorry. This store is 25 miles from where I live. Very disappointment with your customer service.

Party City party city commercial making if of gluten free people

I don't appreciate Party City making fun of gluten free people in your recent commercial. I saw it while watching Food Network tonight, Monday, Jan 22. You don't mind taking money from gluten free shoppers. The commercial stated that the actor had made something for a gluten free girl like it was weird and a bad thing. You need to apologize and recognize! I have Celiac that is a miserable, life altering, and I didn't ask to be sick! We are just like everyone else who likes to have fun but we have to work twice as hard as those without Celiac. There are many people like me and we still like to eat and party. We are robbed from many situations because of this attitude and life threatening illness. Absolutely unprofessional. I won't be buying anything from Party City again.

Party City the poor customer service I received

On 1/18/2018
I went in to party city at 1500 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. I was making a return of a few extra items that I had bought for my son birthday party on 1/20/2018 in exchange for other items that I needed more of for the party.
EVERYTHING I was returning I had a receipt for. The lady that was assisting me was very nasty. She begin assisting me then walked off and did a whole another transaction. She told me she was not taking two of the items back that did not have a barcode but where on the receipt and in oringal packaging. I explained to her that was not my fault I have a proof of purchase and I don't need the item. She slide the item back across the counter and said she wasn't taking it.
I kindly let her know that I will bring everything that I have bought back and go elsewhere and her exact words where "bring it back she doesn't care" When I notified her that I would be contacting your cooperate office she then decided to go get the same items off the floor and scan it. I asked her for her name and she tried to cover her name tag finally I was able to get her name (Krin)
This is the second time I have been to this store and received poor nasty customer service.

Party City cancelled online order

I made an online order today and my credit card was approved then a few hours later they cancelled my order saying it was high risk. I ordered birthday invites for a 7 year olds party, how is that high risk? Seems like you closing stores is high risk, since that's why I had to order online. I want to be able to order my daughters invitations and party favors. The order # is [protected]. Thanks!

Party City to make a complaint about customer services at store 531

At 12:36 pm on December 24, 2017 I went to party city to buy my Christmas items. When I finished I went to the cashier a black lady that was talking with another employee about the manager only take young Latina's because he can do whatever and the man employee ask her if his wife know about it. She said "I don't know because we are on 2017 almost 2018 and maybe the wife know that he is cheating with employees" and that is the reason the manager like Latina's employees... I was quite listing and I ask if I can pay and she with strong actitud said: " wait I have to do one thing at the time" when she finished with all my items she ask me for my email I said [protected]@gmail.com and she screaming to me and said: "excuse me" and I said again: [protected]@gmail.com she staring making a joke to the employee that was not English that I spoke and the man said that he only can get blue and she said that's the reason I said "excuse me"... I said: "you only have to say repeat please" she look at me like she want to fight and give my bags and after that she said: this is tour receipt man have a nice day and said that thank god that she change because it's to much that she has to hold... and I take all my bags and don't said anything else...
Wow! Was really bad experience that I never had been in my life with a aggressive customer services and saying discrimination about young Latina's. Was really bad experience in Christmas Eve...

Party City store management

Greetings! My name is Lis Young and I am the Business assistant to St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary school. I'm sending you a complaint on behalf of our Breakfast with Santa committee volunteers Heather and Colleen.

On Saturday, December 3, 2017 both Heather and Colleen went to do their shopping for our annual event Breakfast with Santa fundraiser at Party City store located on West 33rd Units 3-9 Chicago, IL 60608 TEL [protected].

The school Principal Mr. Steve Adams gave them a blank check made out to Party City with a letter of the Santa event information and a tax exempt letter from the Illinois Dept. of Revenue. This two letters are helpful documents to let managers know that this items are for our event not for personal use...

Heather and Colleen provided this information at checkout. However, your store manger Marisol didn't accept the personal check made out to Party City and did not provide a reason to why she was not accepting the check and according to both Heather and Colleen Ms. Marisol was very rude and unprofessional.

The purchase was made, and Colleen paid with her own personal credit card. Please know that my reason for this email is because both ladies were embarrassed and felt like Ms. Marisol didn't represent Party City Corporation in a business manner. Both Heather and Colleen are very good school parents and we are very grateful for both ladies in volunteering their time and effort to fundraise for our school.

Also, to avoid further unpleasant future visits to a Party City store can you please provide and explanation about Party City store policy not accepting business check for a fundraiser event?

Party City worker

I was recently at party city and I encountered a rude worker. Destiney is what I believed her name is . I asked for a certain amount of balloons to be blown up and she had lots of attitude about doing it Yet it is her job. Instead she wanted to socialize with her co workers .. Then when she finally proceeded on blowing up my balloons she took her slow time with them.. thinking I was going to say forget it and leave.

Party City the world's worst customer service!

Cashiers are always on their phone! i live in harlem and the closest party city that has tableware in the color brown is in long island city. I was shopping for an occasion and my theme included brown cutlery and napkins. On sunday nov 26, the cashier forgot to hand me the most important items... My brown cutlery and napkins! due to being on her phone half the time she was checking me out. She was also not wearing a nametag but luckily the cashier next to her said her name (stephanie) i have never received such disrespect in a store. Whomever may be the manager of this location... Please tell your cashiers to have more respect at the registers and for your customers. I did not wish to come back to this location after an hour train ride back to manhattan. Worst experience ever.

Party City inappropriate

Party City management or whoever recruits employees,
please, train your staff how to talk to customers. Some of them are very rude for no reason. I understand that we are people and sometimes we are in a bad mood, but for god's sake why the hell they behave like it's everybody's fault?
I received an item in the wrong color, I called to find out what I have to do and how to exchange. The representative told me that he thinks that the pink color is better than what I initially ordered and there's no point in changing it.
Oh god, who the heck cares what you think about my choice? I want you to tell me what to do, I don't need advice! He didn't let me finish and hung up on me. Beautiful.

Party City debit refund not received.

On November 7 I returned $52.48 worth of unused and unopened items to the Bristol, TN store #902. I am yet to receive my refund to my debit card. I called the store and they said once they complete the transaction it's out of their hands. My bank said they have no sign of i5 and I even got a print out of my account. Nope, it's not in there. On November 14 I called home office to file a complaint and I am yet to hear anything. No one has called me. I'm giving them till November 21 and if they havent given me my refund or contactes me to get this fixed I'm going to be so furious. Tell me why you can immediately take it out of my checking account but you can't immediately put it back. I shop at Party City a lot for our school and our church but I'm not anymore. Especially not until I'm refunded my money.

Finally I got a call from the store manager, after calling the complaint department twice. The store manager said to just come to the store and he would give me cash back. When I went to get the money he was so apologetic and very nice about it.

Also good. Contact the issuing bank of the debit card and file a dispute on the original transaction. Explain the refund that was suppose to be issued and include a copy of the credit receipt. The bank should handle the rest.

Party City poor customer services.

Today I went with my kids to buy costumes . I wasn't feeling good suddenly I feel dizzy I can not even stand up. I want go home my Son start cry, he want buy. Line was very long. I requested to Jessica who was working there I said I am dizzy can you help me please to buy costumes. I can not standup more. She was very rude. Jessica stated you can sit but I can't cut the line, but I can call 911 for you, I request again she said I can call Ambulance for you. Her way of talking is not good. Party worker need to be improve good customer services They are not respecting the customers.

Party City not being told about the return policy

I bought a red cape and went to return it an hour and 15 minutes later. I was told I could not due to your Halloween return policy that was not made aware of. If was I would not have bought the cape. The cape never left the package or my car for that matter. My wife had already bought me one and I was unaware. I went in to return it an hour and 15 minutes later was denied and the manager was not helpful. Didn't even leave from blowing up balloons. I get if I had bought the cape a week ago, I could have wore it and tried to return it, but I didn't I bought it an hour and 15 minutes ago. I think y'all policy is not great and I do not plan on using your company or referring anyone to y'all.

Party City halloween costumes

Came in and purchased a few costumes and half of them were missing masked. This is unbelievable. And when you call the store to tell them about they are so rude like you stole the mask. Your staff should be checking all of the things going out. The product is not cheap for so many parts to be missing. Your manager dale was very unconcerned and the young lady before that had a nice little attitude
