Meijerdiscrimination and violation of my rights.

Review updated:

Was at the Meijer store in Danville Il. on Sunday March 5 at about 4 pm. I tried to purchase alcohol with my ID. My ID is from the Illinois State Police as it has a background check on it. The anti gun cashier and manager I talked to claim its a valid id (and is required in this store for bullet purchase) but would not accept it because it did not have the following words on it (State of Illinois). They told me any ID with my Picture, address, age, and it has to state "State of Illinois" is valid.See the Top 10 Worst Complaints in Danville, IL They need to be informed of Illinois Liquor Control Act found in 235 ILCS 5/6-16: as it states "Adequate written evidence of age and identity of the person is a document issued by a federal, state, county, or municipal government, or subdivision or agency thereof" I am sure the State Police is a agency of the state. I have been using my ID at this store for over a year without ever a problem until Sunday. If this is a new policy of Meijer to be anti gun, please let me know as I can take my business to other stores who don't have any issues with my ID. Thank you
