meijer gas station
I went to start my car and it wouldn't start, so I had to call for a ride at 5am in the morning. When I came back home from work I had to call my kia roadside asst to see if my car needed a jump. The kia guy got my car started by putting the accelerator all the way down on the floor and turned the keyy, it took a minute but it started. Then he said do you smell that? He said it was bad gas. I always get my gas at Meijer after I get my groceries. I had to add a bottle of heat to get out some of the moisture. I don't think I'll be getting gas from you anymore. You might want to check this out.
meijer pizza
Yesterday I bought a pizza from Meijer in Sault Sainte Marie Michigan. This is the second time I have ordered one and the last time it was amazing. When I got it home my husband and I started eating it and realized it tasted very weird. Almost like alcohol. I decided to peel a piece of pineapple off and eat it. That's what it was the pineapple was bad it was fermented. So this morning I called the store and spoke to the manager in the Deli. I just wanted them to know in case they were still using the same pineapple from yesterday. He didn't even apologize he told me that they use fresh produce everyday on there pizzas. I was not impressed.
April 16, 2019, (Dayton OH N Main store) Bought a Supreme Pizza, (Meijer's brand) it was terrible. Very little sauce, cheese, meat or vegetables. Tasted somewhat sour. Will never buy one again!
customer service at checkout
I went to get groceries yesterday (11/07/17) at the 28th St. Meijer in Cascade, MI. I was having a great day, the sun was shining, I was finding everything I needed until I got to your checkout person. His name is Kyle (Info on my receipt: Tx: 166 Op: 2233264 Tm: 14 St: 50 14:55:25). When it was my turn, I said "Hi" to Kyle and "How are you?" Kyle did not bother to answer me, I didn't think anything of it because he was changing a roll tape. Kyle starting ringing my order (he was really fast, too fast), I was looking for my can return receipt and Kyle holds up a bag over top of the credit card machine for me to take. I told Kyle that I couldn't grab it, would he please put it in my cart. The bag contained 9 - 8 oz. bags of cheese and 2.71 lbs. of broccoli. I have bad shoulders so I have to be careful with how I handle heavy things especially anything above my shoulders. Kyle walked around the carousel and literally dropped the bag into my cart with a put out attitude. Granted he didn't drop the bag very far. Kyle proceeded to ring up my groceries, putting a half gallon of milk on top of two frozen pizzas in another bag. I was trying to put my groceries in the correct bags ( I had everything on the belt in the correct order, always do). Kyle put almost all of my delicate items in one bag. My bread was leaning half out of the bag getting crushed in the middle. At that point I got upset with his attitude and mishandling of my $181.16 in groceries and asked to see his supervisor. Kyle waved his hand and said he was right there. I called over to the supervisor and explained to him that groceries are expensive and Kyle was not handling my groceries as I thought he should. The supervisor (don't know his name) asked what I would like him to do? I asked if I could have a different cashier. Kyle told the supervisor that he was finished even though I hadn't paid yet. The supervisor took off while telling me he had talk to his superior. I had to go back to Kyle to pay and get the rest of my groceries, so I wasn't holding up the line. While I was grabbing my groceries, my arm got caught in the carousel as Kyle was pushing on it. I don't know if Kyle is hard of hearing, but I asked him three times to hold up and that my arm was caught. I had to rip my arm out of it because Kyle did not let up. I think maybe he did it on purpose. I don't have any bruising, thankfully, but the muscles in my arm are very sore. I put my bankcard into the machine to pay and as Kyle was waiting for and getting my receipt he proceeded to say my first name over and over again. I don't know if this was an intimidation tactic or Kyle just being sarcastic, but it sure felt like he was trying to intimidate me. When I was finished paying, I headed to the service desk for another reason and flagged down the supervisor as he was walking back. He handed me a gift card for $20 and said that Kyle would be spoken to. The service person made a comment to me, "See, it's not that bad." I am not sure what she was referring to, but maybe that she had half of an idea of what was going on. Yes, it is bad to be hurt, humiliated and disrespected by someone, anyone. A $20 gift card is not good compensation for the way my groceries and I were treated. The supervisor acted as though he did not want to hear anymore about what Kyle did after he had left me there with him. This is why I am taking my complaint further. I feel as though I and this situation wasn't treated properly. In the future, if this happens again, please keep your gift card and stay to watch your employee or suspend the order and have them pay elsewhere, so that the customer doesn't have to suffer more indignity from your employee.
P.S. French bread is supposed to be crusty, so that when Kyle grabs hold of it by the end to hand it to me, it shouldn't look like a leaning tower. P.S.S. When I got out to my car and went through my bags, there was a 64 count of large paper plates in a bag on top of my Chex Mix. I am afraid of what I will find when I open my bag of Doritos.
I shop at Meijer Cascade almost once a week and I consider myself lucky if my bill is under $100. My experience at Meijer is generally a good one. In fact, you have one cashier there that is absolutely amazing, I wish you could have more cashiers like Cloteal. She is kind, friendly and always treats me and my groceries like we matter.
It was kind of them to offer you a gift card as a reimbursement for the unpleasant experience. In regards to the cashier, could he have been new? Many people don't know how to bag groceries properly. Or could he have had a disability? I wonder based on how he repeated your name over and over, and appeared not to hear you when you spoke multiple times.
checkout availability
I come into the meijer on Elkhart Rd. In Goshen Indiana every week on either Thursday or Friday. This being the paydays of millions of people in the world. Every week I stand in lines 3, 4, and 5 customers deep because of the lack of checkouts. Tonight there are 2 lines open. Other then self checkers. It is like this every single week. This is frustrating especially since I can see 4 employees standing at the customer service desk.
bakery department
Today I went to the w eight mile rd Meijer at around 4pm Oct 30th to purchase a birthday cake for my 7 year old daughters birthday today, as I always purchase my cakes for all occasions I forsaw there would be no problem, however on this occasion the woman behind the counter refused to pipe the words happy birthday on the cake i was buying, siting that she was the only one there and she wouldnt do it, all the while holding onto a piping bag, and serving absolutely no one as the only people in the bakery area were myself and my young children. Rude is an understatement, she simply had no interest in serving customers. And left my daughter completely dissapointed on her birthday. How can this be rectified?
rude customer service
On Saturday October 21st, 2017 my boyfriend and I went to the Meijer located at 4200 Highland Rd Waterford, Michigan to see my mother who works there and grab some Halloween costumes. My mother had told me she could take her break soon so I checked out my costumes totalling just shy of $100 and went to see if she could take her break yet. She was helping customers so I took a look at the donuts nearby and decided I wanted one. A very nice young man at the deli checked us out. His name was Kevin. Not thinking much of the donut I declined the receipt for it. When my mother was done helping customers she had told me her coworker had taken a break before she could and that she'd just call me later. As I was leaving the meijer store a very rude young man at the door, his name is Daniel, told me he needed to see my receipt because I was being suspicious. Irritated at that point my boyfriend finally found the receipt and gave it to the man and told him we declined the receipt for the donut. He said ok and let us leave. After leaving I got a call from my mother saying Daniel came to her saying I did not pay for my donut. I don't know what he expected her to do about it or why he let us leave if he thought we didn't pay for a [censor]ing donut in the first place which by the way was very disgusting. Needless to say with my suspicious activities of visiting my mother at her workplace I will not be spending any more of my hard earned money at this Meijer or any others for that matter.
not offered my receipt at meijer gas station
Went to meijer gas station on 8396 Gratiot Rd Saginaw michigan and bought 2 pops and a snack. When I checked out I assumed the cashier put my receipt in the bag because nothing was given to me. I was asked if I wanted one either. I went out to the car and out my baby in the car seat and checked my bag for a receipt and there wasn’t one. Went back inside and asked if I could get a receipt and was told no. I bought the pops for a reason and needed the receipt for proof of purchase. Now I’m out of luck. I work retail and I’m pretty sure you can reprint a receipt even if you have to look transaction up. Do a return and repurchase. There’s a way I’m not dumb. Wasn’t happy at all and won’t be going back to this gas station. I should of been asked if I wanted a receipt. Cashier said they can’t reprint because they were wasting paper so they were cut off from doing that.
bottle return and customer service
On Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 I was at Meijer store on Pine St. Bay City, Mi (I believe it is referred to as the Essexville store) returning empty bottles. After feeding in all the glass coca-cola bottles, I started putting in the Steward's Root beer bottles and once again the machine refused to take them "this item is not sold here" when I bought them at that exact Meijer store and they are still on the shelves by th glass coke and other glass bottle soda items. This has been a recurring problem for me for at least 3 months! I had to call to get someone to come back...wait and wait, and then he had to go get a pad of forms to write me a bottle return slip...more waiting and waiting at least 10 minutes! I put the plastic bottles in the correct machine and had two printed bottle return slips for about $6. When the employee returned and gave me the return slip, I must have dropped the printed ones. When i checked out, I noticed that they were missing. Looked for them to no avail. Cashier said that I had to leave my name at customer service desk in case someone turned them in. There were 6 customers ahead of me, and one Meijer employee back there waiting on the 7th. I had melting ice-cream and after waiting for several more minutes and asking other employees just standing there if i could leave my name with them for lost bottle slips, I was told no..had to be at the service desk. Still 5 ahead of me...so I left. I'm out the time, the aggravation of bottle machines STILL not working correctly, the pain of loading bottles at home then unloading them into basket and then into machine, and out about $6. I feel that the incident was not handled well by Meijer employees and there is no reason that the bottle machine can[t accept bottles from items you sell at this store!
lake & trail boots
I am a Transportation Supervisor for a local school district in Northern Ohio. I purchased a pair of Lake & Trail Boots in early September for the start of school. The Lake & Trail boots are waterproof, high ankle, meets the need of my daily job being out in the weather etc. As of Monday October 9th 2017, It was raining at our school bus stop. I quickly noticed that my new books had holes in the bottom of the rubber soles, and that my socks were wet. After looking at my boots, noticed both had holes in the same spots on the bottom of boots.
I do not have the receipt, but, is there a way that you can direct me to getting new boots? or perhaps a gift certificate for purchase of other boots at Meijer? I ask that you honor my request.
My husband won't complain but I bought two pair at the same time and the same thing happened to with both pair one i was able to get replaced I got these boots back in December and only wore them a handful of times not doing anything but walking not working in them not hunting in them and this is the third pair that this has happened to the first pair I was able to return for a new pair but the last two pair I had to throw one pair away and now this one did the same thing the soles in both boots cracked and I can feel every rock I step on in my yard or driveway I paid good money for these and expected them to last me a while but as I can see from other reviews this is not just happening to me I am hoping you can do something for me to help me get these replaced with some other kind of boot maybe I will have better luck or we too will not buy lake and trail again and will make sure our friends know about the issues with not one but three pair … very sad If you can't stand behind you product
I think Lake & Trail boots changed their sole materials. My husband has used these for years and enjoyed the fit and durability. The last two pairs, however, wore out way too quickly. The tred must be thinner because you can see the holes that push right thru and it cracks. Water goes straight in. Because it was over 90 days, Meijer will not replace or refund. We will not be buying Lake & Trail anymore. Recommendations for good boots anyone?

I purchased the heavy L&T hiking boots over 5 years ago, and wear them all winter, doing lots of walking. The soles are starting to wear down, but the boots have held up in every way. Feet are always warm and dry. One of the best purchases I have made.
I purchased a pair of L&T boots less than 2 months ago. Inside both boots my heel is pushing through the bottom of the boot to the sole. I have also gone through three pairs of laces as they keep wearing in the same spot. Not sure how much longer these boots will last but hoping to get 3-4 months out of them?
Wore every day since mid October 2017 and one day I stepped into a shallow puddle of icy slush. My warm feet in the Lake Trail Thinsulate/waterproof boot felt icy cold water in left shoe. Got home 10 hours later to examine boot. The left sole has separated to allow water to enter underneath the ball of my feet. I examined the right boot and it too started to separate. I purchased ShoeGoo hoping to glue both soles back into position after drying the boots. After the boots dried, I found a crack in the sole next to the logo under the arch area. Just realized it is a futile effort to save boot if the sole cracked at the area that does not flex much. I would NOT recommend these boots. I wished I could get my money back. Here are three photographic image proofs.
I agree with you. I tried coating the boots with rubber cement which worked fine wearing them a few times but failed afterwards
workers throughout the store
I went shopping today and was looking for a pair of shoes I spent 2 hours trying on shoes and looking at clearance items throughout the store then I turn around and there is a lady following me while she's on the phone while I continue to the little girl section and was looking around for clearance items for my kids and saw Man staring at me while on the phone through the little girl's panty section so I decided to put all my items back and leave the store that was quite creepy very disturbing and I felt like it was an invasion of my privacy to go there and shop and I'm afraid I will not be shopping at any Meijer Stores from now on cuz I am totally creeped out at the bald man staring at me through little girl panties
3 day sale
I stopped by the Gratiot meijer in Shields, MI to pick up a few items from the 3 day sale after work on Friday. I wanted the huggies diaper wipes for buy one get one and the All laundry soap which was in the 5 buy 5 group and save money for the All laundry soap for a 1.79 a bottle. Both items were sold out and you could not get rain checks, I'm not understanding why there wasn't more product available since 10 hours had past since the sale started. There we're multiple pallets in the aisle for other sale items but not the two items I was looking to purchase.. I don't feel it was right to only stock an small amount of product in question for a 3 day sale, stock should be planned for more than an hour.
nuwave electric pressure cooker 6qt
9/30/2017
On the date listed above I was shopping for some kitchenware. As i was looking down the aisle for a pressure cooker the NUwave electric Pressure Cooker 6Qt was stocked on the top shelve of the kitchen aisle for $.01. I went to look for workers and no one was working in the area. I loaded up the cooker and was told by cashier that I could go to customer service to get price adjusted. Once I got to customer service they sent someone to the area where I found the product and seen that the price was mis-marked. The worker came back in reported to her manager that the cooker was in fact mark for the $.01 . The manager to the cashier that she could not grant me that price the someone marked it wrong and they could only give me 25% off the price in the register which was $99.99. Based off the Michigan Scanner Law I I thought the store was required to provide the displayed to avoid any other alternative actions, which is the reason why I sending this to see if I can be granted the price for the NuWave Electric Pressure cooker for the listed Price and a gift card for the inconvenience.
Attached to this is the picture and the listed price. thanks for reviewing this request.

You would have to take them to court if you wish to pursue the scanner law you mentioned. In my opinion, it was very kind of them to offer you 25% off. If you truly believed you were going to get it for one cent and now consider yourself inconvenienced then you are remarkably foolish. You are clearly trying to capitalize off of someone's innocent mistake.
Nice display of information! I hope an identity thief doesn't steal it!
pharmacy
I reieved a call that my husbands perscription were ready for pick up, I went to the store to pick up the perscriptions and was notified that only 1 was ready and that they were not able to fill the other one - reason was that they had a question about the instructions from the doctor. I was told that they contacted the doctors office yeaterday and was still waiting for a answer -
Why wasn't I notified that my percription was held up for some reason and told that I should contact the doctors office
Why wasn't I notified about this issue before I went to the store to pick up
customer service and non service or concern for customers
Tonight I slipped and fell while walking to the check out lane while pushing my cart, broke my 2nd toe when I fell but pulled myself back up only to see a guy employeed by Meijer Corp on the other side of the store by the produce Dept pushing the buffer, yet had no cautious or wet floor signs anywhere in sight for any customer to see. Yet he showed no concern or care in the world about the customers shopping. Being a Michigan native I have always shopped at Meijer and have kept alot of things I wanted to complain about to myself and let it go, but this time I was injured because of your lack of concern for customers. Watch the camera between 2 am and 215 am you will see how I slipped and broke my toe due to your employee and his non customer based concern. I will be pushing this further and have an attorney contact you in the near future. My name is Andrew Jacob Strickler, I am a Muskegon native and this was the last straw for me and everyone I know
Thanks and have a good day, as I have.

above and beyond customer care
On Sunday Sept. 17, 2017, I was discharged from the ER at Sherman Hospital needing 3 prescriptions including pain meds. I immediately went to Meijers on Randall Rd.in Elgin to fill the prescriptions. Upon my arrival there I was informed that the pharmacy was closing in 8 minutes. Rather than just taking the presciptions for the next day, the two people there (I believe their names were Tiffany and Don) rushed to fill them. My gratitude goes out to them for saving me 12 hours of pain. It's refreshing in this modern world to find two people of integrity and compassion. Since employee actions compose a large part of their company's image, Meijer should be proud to have these people working for them. Thank you again.
stocking guy in waterford, mi
I stop in weekly in the early morning on my way to work and sometimes on my lunch break to get baby food/formula for my son. Every time I go the same stock guy is there, stocking up supplies. Although I am glad they stock items a lot, the stock guy creeps me out. I am trying to look for what I need and thinking and he always feels the need to talk to me. I don't mind small talk but he doesn't need to know what I am getting, how much I need to get, etc. I told my husband and he said I should make a complaint because he's hitting on me and it makes me not want to go there anymore.
discriminating and rude behavior towards people with autism
9/15/17. My son who has autism and I have been shopping here for years at least twice a week. My son likes to window shop and say hi to people he knows while I get groceries. On this particular day while I was in checkout my son went to say hi to someone he knew and one of the male employees told him to walk in a different direction very rudely. It startled my son and he came over and told me what happened. I went to walk over to find out what was going on and the manager at the eyeglass desk walked over to me and asked me what is the problem? very rudely. I told her my son wasn't doing anything wrong and he has autism so sometimes communication is difficult. She didn't even try to understand or care and continued to be rude and said her friend didn't "like" the way he was walking. I tried explaining to her that he is autistic and she didn't show any understanding that she was at all concerned that she just judged my son on his appearance. I have never been so humiliated and uncomfortable in a store in my life and the female manager of the eyeglass store needs some training on compassion and how to treat people with disabilities! I will never spend another dime in that place again!
meijers pharmacy
Tonight i made the mistake of dropping off my prescription to the meijer pharmacy on Harvey st. When i dropped my script off the tech told me it wouldn't be any longer than 15 min. so after 20 mins had passed i waited in like for another 10 mins to finally be called up by a tech named Amy. after giving my info to look up my script she told me it wasn't really. My reaponse was how much longer she thought iit would take since it was 8:45 and they close at 9. The tech Amy raised her voice and said " obviously if you can't tell we are really busy obviously we have other costumers than you. i have never in my life been talked to like that! she even rolled her eyes and walked away IN THE MIDDLE OF MY TRANSACTION! i will never ever return to this pharmacy! I waited another 25 min to talk to the manager who couldn't even give me a number to talk to someone about this! i want to be contacted to know that there is something being done about this!
price reduction misleading
I am referring to Meijer's price mark down on fresh meat items. Occasionally, close to expiration date meat packages would be marked down. The markdown label would say original price, mark down 20% & new price $xx.x. The misleading part is: on the same label, meijer would say the new price per lb is $x.xx/lb. This newly claimed price per pound is drastically lower than actual. I mention this to the Meijer meat department manager in a Michigan Meijer store, his reply is to ignore that price quotation.i brought to his attention that most consumers make their purchase on unit price, thus the label is seriously misleading.
