LoanCare / being told that I am behind when i'm not.

Today, (12/28/18) I received a delinquent notice when my loan is current. This has happened quite a lot in the past few months. I brought my account current on December a phone call with them early in December, I was told that I had to pay $974.71 to bring the account current. I paid that amount on December 14th as stated above. It seems to me that there's a communication problem within Loan Care. I'm assuming that the billing department is who sends out the monthly statements. It looks to me like the billing department is not being notified of the payments I make. I got my payment statement for the payment due January 1, 2019 and it shows I owe around $1, 850. This I know isn't true.
