Leon's Furniture 3 piece livingroom set

I purchased a 3 piece living room set nearly 2 years ago from Leon's in Barrie ON. Upon delivery the back of the loveseat was torn by the delivery persons. 1 month after the purchase we noticed stitching threads coming apart in all 3 pieces. Also staples were coming through the furniture bad enough that it cut my 2 yr. old grandchild and required stitches. Scissor mechanism in the one recliner is bent and we have been unable to use. Fabric on the arms literally came apart. Contacted Leons several times and support was terrible and non existent. They sent a guy out to take pictures of the issues.They fixed one arm and were supposed to return/never did. On several occasions I kept making follow-up calls to be told the remaining parts were on backorder to complete the repairs. To this day still no repairs completed. Final straw after a call today is that it is out of warranty. Never fixed it originally. Terrible service and extremely disappointing. I have purchased other items through Leon's but never again and will not recommend ever! The manager at one point asked me how much I weighed and if that could be an issue. Well at 120lbs I highly doubt I am the issue and considering I sit really 90% of the time in one spot and my husband on the other this was a shameful disgusting way to cover up the poor quality of the pieces to begin with!

Leon's Furniture appliance's

I am disgusted with the service I have received from Leon's brampton, located at Bovaird and mcglauglin. I have contacted the store several times over the past few months with zero call back to obtain a resolution. The manager is never available to speak with me and never follows up with the messages I leave. I received a stove months ago that is the wrong size and different style that I originally chosen. They attempted to deliver "the stove I ordered" 3 times, each time it was wrong. I requested resolution with management and customer care which has yet to happen. The stove is still sitting in the middle of my kitchen because it is useless, it doesn't fit! I also paid up front for the over the range microwave to be installed by Leon's third party. Needless to say it wasnt installed and they have yet to refund my money because they are continually "looking into it, and will have someone call me back ".

Leon's Furniture power recliner and indifferent manager

Purchased a Lana power recliner for my dad for Christmas on Nov 9, 2018 for 569.99 and was assured by the salesman Kirk that it would be in around the first week of December. The second week of December I called the store to check on the status of the order but had to wait for the salesman to call me back. He called back and noted the recliners would not be in Toronto until the week of Chritmas and by the time they arrived at the London Store it would be after Christmas. I went to the website to get a picture of the chair to find the recliner is now on sale for 299.00. Called the store and they refunded the difference. A Leon's flyer in the mailbox with an advertisement for the recliner I had purchased saying delivery starts Dec 20th. I called the store and spoke with Kirk again and asked why it said Dec 20th when they had no stock. Kirk said flyers are made up to a year in advance. I replied that most business would at least have a retraction on their website noting the error in the flyer. After Christmas I went to the store to speak to someone about what was going on. After chatting with a person at counter she got the manager Jaclyn Sammut. All she did was give me more excuses and was very dismissive. When I mention the flyer and how this violated the advertisers code of conduct her response was our legal department will take of that. Oh and the website now says delivery starting Jan 4 which I mentioned and her response was that's the web department responsibility. At no time was a reason given for the delay. If she is an example of the mangers at Leon's they all need a course on interpersonal skills. Worst customer service ever.

Never ever buy anything from the store in London Ontario. They should remove 'part of the family' from their slogan and try taking responsibility for their actions.

The recliner is still on sale and their is no inventory in Canada and it will be 4 to 6 weeks before any arrive. I cancelled my order and will never buy anything there again.

Leon's Furniture delivery

I wanted to buy a samsung refrigerator, and was told by salesman we would get matching price (home depot) plus free delivery. The manager however said we would be charged delivery because it matches home depots terms and conditions. Even though salesman made deal they still wanted to make us pay delivery charge. We declined and they lost out on a sale over a $50 delivery charge. Wouldn't even wave delivery charge for sale. I guess they have enough money. Feel sorry for salesman who lost out on commission because of manager.

Leon's Furniture deceptive sales practices

FOR PUBLIC AWARENESS
In late December of 2018, I ordered a refrigerator from Leon's Furniture web site. I was encouraged to choose a delivery date from several offered in January 2019. I chose January 22/19, and placed my order. Not 1 hour later, a representative called me and stated the delivery would be delayed until early February. I asked that the order be cancelled because we would be away for some time beginning February 1-19. The representative then stated that because this was a "special order" I would be charged a 25% cancellation fee. Leon;s could not meet the delivery date, and not more than 1 hour after the order was placed wanted to charge me a $325.00 cancellation fee! The company finally relented and said they would cancel the order without any cancellation penalty. However be aware of the fine print in your purchase contract, before entering into any purchase agreement with this company.

Leon's Furniture leon's furniture richmond hill shop - customer service - unethical behaviour-hidden expenses

we bought a sealy mattress with a 10-year warranty from Leon's furniture at Richmond hill-Ontario 5 years ago. It gets saggy quickly as the quality was so terrible despite all the lies that the salesperson told us. I called several times the customer service and went there twice to make them send an inspector to my house to check the mattress, although they acted like that they are too busy to listen to me and despite their rude attitude, specially a lady named "Dian". It took us more than 6 months with 3 rounds of inspections and several trips to the shop to reach to the point that the sealy factory will replace the mattress for us! Do Not Believe anything from anyone at Leon's furniture! (that's what I learned after almost having a nervous breakdown through dealing with Leon's furniture customer service and management people).
They told us that the mattress was 800 dollars 5 years ago when we bought it and the same mattress is not available anymore and there are no other mattresses available at the same price. We were so disappointed as we didn't want to pay more. We told the customer service manager named "Negar" that if we want to pay extra we don't want to go through the same terrible experience with sealy again. After some negotiation, she told us that we can buy anything else from Richmond hill store with $800 store credit, she mentioned that it is an offer to us as we were so tired of the process of changing the mattress.
We came back another day, ask a salesperson to double check the store credit and wasted one hour of our time to choose a set of sofa. At check out, we found out that everything was a lie! The store credit was just for the mattress and we had to pay extra money and choose one of the store mattresses ( started from $1000). It was frustrating. I asked them to call "Negar" the manager of the customer service. She denied everything!
I asked to talk to the store manager whose name was "Drake" and was watching our frustration from his desk with an obvious attitude. He didn't show up and left his room.
long story short, we paid extra $300 and took another sealy! We will never come back to that store or any other branch of Leon's. We have bought lots of things with a value of about $20000 during last 5 years from Leon's (same branch) and that was the first time that we wanted to use one of the promised warranties, which appeared that it was just a new headache with hidden expenses.
The policy of having charming salespersons and rude managers may work for a short time but sooner or later all customers will find out that whatever they are told is a big lie. My understanding is that if my mattress has a defect and after 3 times inspections it is approved, it should be replaced with another mattress. For example, last month I bought a V6 Dyson vacuum cleaner, it stopped working and I called the customer service for warranty. They send me a V7 Dyson vacuum cleaner instead as the factory stopped manufacturing V6. they never asked me to pay for extra money as the V7 was more expensive than v6.
It is simple. I bought a mattress with a 10-year warranty and I need the mattress to be replaced, obviously without paying $300 more.

Leon's Furniture integrity pricing

I went to Leon's in Welland to purchase a LG 65" television. It was advertised at $999 but it was advertised elsewhere with the same terms and conditions at $897.99. I was not worried though because Leon's price matches and I have shopped there for over 25 years so wanted to give them the business. Long story short, they refused to price match even though the terms and conditions were the same: The published priced included free shipping, no membership or administrative fee and thus was the same as Leon's. I purchased the T. V. from the other location but I am also submitting a complaint to Advertising Standards Canada because of the misleading Integrity Pricing guarantee. They say, "Its All About Trust" but this sentiment is not shared by the manager at the Welland store who just walked away and would not provide me with his name when I went back with the proof (Invoice from other store)

Leon's Furniture Customer service and product

MUST READ. :) :)

Bought a sectional couch. A cross beam on the pull our bed broke after 2 months. Waited 10 months for it to be fixed, including customer service to return call. Once we called customer service again, we were told we had to call the manufacturer to get out couch fixed and were given a bogus phone number to call(roofing company).

Once fixed and brought back to my home, it broke again! Same day, Same piece. We called Leons and our manufacturer warranty ran out but our paid 2 year warranty kicked in. Waited another 1 month, until we called back (customer service was suppose to call back) and we were told we have 30 days to pick out a new couch. (When were they going to call us to let us know). YES finally some relief!

We get to the store on December 20th and we were told we have a credit of manufacturee credit of $2400.00 (what we paid for the original couch). We were told we cannot spend it on anything else in the store, just on a couch.

Our choices, either we spend it on a cheaper couch and take the loss OR buy a more expensive couch and keep paying!

Sales lady brought us to see over priced couches(3-4 grand). We picked out a cheaper couch that ran up too $1999.99. Next, we couldnt switch over our 2 year warranty (which we paid for and is only 2 months into the 2 yr warrant) to this new couch. I tried to get expensive pillows or lamps to go with the couch to even-out the cost to $2400.00. Nothing they could do. I lost out on roughly $300.00.

I've been loyal customer leons. I bought a bed set, a flat screen tv and new a couch.

You just lost a loyal customer.

Leon's Furniture Bed frame and customer service

Bought a King size bed in Sept 2018 from Leona South location in Edmonton - over $1200 we paid
When it was delivered, it was badly damaged - cracked and pieces broken off the bed.
Contacted the store in Edmonton, they said they'll get us a new one.
New one arrives, it's also broken.
Contact the store, they ask us to keep the broken one and they'll take $100 off the cost of the bed.
That was insulting...who wants a broken bed for $1100?
I tell them no, they say they'll bring in another one.
Sales associate contacts me and says we'll get store credit for all this trouble - great! I need other furniture items, so that'll work!
Sales associate texts me to say she is going to also give us a price match, as our beds on sale. Great! I ask her about our new bed and when it will be arriving. Im told Nov 26/18 (keep in mind, we purchased this bed originally in Sept 2018...2 months ago by this time).
The next day the sales associate texts me again and says there was a mistake and I cannot get the price match...this made me angry, so I asked about the store credit that was offered...the sales associate did not answer me.
Well...Nov 26 comes and goes and we hear nothing...then another week goes by and another week goes by. Now I'm upset. Where the hell is my bed? (You should also know that I did the no interest, equal payments for 12 months...so by the end of Nov/18, I've already made 2 payments on a piece of furniture I don't even have!).
I call the store and ask to speak to the manager. Well surprise surprise...the manager is not available and the customer service manager is also not available. I explain to the woman on the phone what has happened. I indicate that there needs to be some recourse as were now in the middle of the 3rd month dealing with this, I still dont have my bed and I want my bed.
The woman on the phone tells me that my new bed will be in on the 19th and the customer service manager will call me back tomorrow, as they get in at 1230...this was Dec 12/18.
Here we are the 20th of December and I've heard nothing from anyone at Leona- pissed!
Oh...I also in one of my discussions with the people at Leona, ask them to take their bed back, cancel the financing piece for the bed and I'll go buy a bed elsewhere. Well...I was flat out told no, that they will give me a credit with Leona for the value of the bed and I can pick another one I like. They don't have anything else I like or want...and with how this whole thing has played out, I will never buy anything from Leona again. I tell them this, that there no bed I want from there so I just want out of the financing. Leona says no...
So now I'm literally stuck. Still don't have my bed...3 months after purchasing it, Leons won't let me out of the financing and intend to keep my money for the bed and offer me store credit...I had store credit offered to me months ago and still haven't received it - does Leons think I trust them at all with a $1200+ store credit? And, if their furniture is such poor quality that it continues to come broken not once, but twice (and who knows if the 3rd bed will be any better) does Leons think I want anything else from their store after how this has all gone down?
I will be contacting the BBB, the local news and all Social media outlets to share this story. People need to be aware of how poorly Leons operates, how they lie to customers and how they try to convince people to keep broken, "brand new" furniture.
Shop elsewhere...it'll be a lot less hassle

Leon's Furniture pricing.

I looked on line item I was looking for came up for 1499.00 my Local store it was 2399.00.
Flyer saying save 520 boxing week, well 2079.00 is not saving 520.00
I know pricing is different provinces but this is something I don't agree with save 520 but really your saving 200. Needless to say not being bought by me.
Called my local store saying sorry we can't honor any of the prices you see only the flyer one.

Leon's Furniture rude, ignorant sales lady or manager

On Dec 17, my wife and I and our Chihuahua ( in my Arms ) went to buy a mattress. Once in the store, this Lady in a red outfit rudely asked, or basically demanded, Is that a Service Dog? I said No. She then told us to leave the store because of allergies . O, I left and told her, too bad cause you just lost a nice Sale.
We then went to the Brick, bought our mattress w our Dog
The dog was always in my arms and Never on the floor.
I know all about Service dogs and what they do and the Service they provide and help with.
The weird part of this ordeal is, about 5 to 6 weeks ago, we were in the same store, with our dog and sat, tested many or all Recliners. Never once I was asked to leave. The Brick never asked me to leave. Maybe this Lady hates Dogs. All i know is, she was very Rude, Ignorant and never said, Im sorry, Pets are not allowed in the store. Never, not once. My argument is (Correct me if I'm wrong on this) what is the difference between a Dog in my arms versus a Service Dog on the Floor due to allergies? What, a Service Dog won't cause an allergic reaction! What if my clothes have Dog and Cat hair on me and I sit or roll around on a mattress trying to test and get a feel of it.
I personally think, She hates Dogs. IMHO.
So, Leons lost a nice Sale. Maybe they did fine this month and don't need more sales. Too bad, cause I have looked at the Flyer before going there, telling my wife they have what she wanted in a mattress.

It doesn't matter if the dog is in your arms if people are allergic. Think about someone other than yourself! Oh, and using the word "ordeal" is way over dramatic. I'm sure they weren't sorry at all to lose your sale.

Hi,
few days ago l have been in north York Leon's store location. l brought dining table set, sofa, rug and bed with frame. l measured sofa in my condo but sales person told me if l brought L in the shape it will be better. Anyway l thought his idea nice and sofa will look in my condo better. He was polite and feel me welcome to store. this reason l feel about sofa he is right. However after one week Leon's delivery our sofa. l signed l got it. When l tried to put the sofa l saw got a lot place.that mean doesn't fit probably in saloon. Then l was driving Leon's store and told them about sofa doesn't fit in saloon. They told me l must spoke with customer care service .l explained him about sofa doesn't fit my condo and l am not happy to keep it and l wanted to change it...he told me if l return the sofa it reduce %50 off mean half price of sofa l must pay it by cash or credit card. When they will get the sofa they will give me credit for shopping.he argued with me and l didn't accept %50 my money done .l told him l accepted with some cost me but not that %50..he become angry and told me l will leave store and l never come back again. l told him l come here for deal and you don't own Leon's to tell him l never back again. After that anyway l don't want trouble l left the Leon's store.
1.when l buy furniture where is my right? Even when l signed after one day how comes they don't accept the furniture?
2.who protect me right? and my money comes right away %50 off?
3.l want to solve my problem who organization or government can help me?
4.he really can tell me l leave the store and l never go back in Leon's again?

Leon's Furniture customer relations

After making a purchase and having a few hiccups, spoke to the store manager, who seemed to have no regard for customer satisfaction: she turned and walked away.(l found this offensive.)
This is not the way to treat customers...she needs to rethink onhow to address clients .We spend hard earnt dollars and want good service
I have purchased a lot from Leons over the years and never been made to feel like I'm not worth the time and cordiality I deserve

Leon's Furniture customer service very unhappy

I was at Leon's on Monday December 10th specifically looking for a TV stand I went to your electronic section of the store and I asked if there were any chocolate brown TV stand that I could look at there weren't any on the floor so Asked me if I was interested in looking online . I agreed and found one that I liked t was the Fairfield 54" TV Credenza - Espresso he made a call to see if was in stock they said yes but explained that it wasn't assembled. I asked him if I came back in a few days could he have it assembled so I could look at it and he said no they don't do that. He gave me a print out of the TV stand and sent me on my way. I began to browse a bit more and another associate from the main floor asked me if I was finding everything ok I explained what took place and she said "Don't mind him he"S new" She paged him and asked him " Do you want me to show you how to get stuff out of the warehouse ? He said ok so him and I went to the warehouse and it was a box not assembled. I left disappointed 😔
I went back on On December 12th 2019 and I went to electronics and asked the same associate from the other day if he was able to get that stand assembled and he said no. ... ? So I began browsing in the ASIS section and I became interested Ina TV stand that was marked down from 798.00 ( I think) .
It was pretty scratched up and I knew it would take some work so I spoke to a sales associate about coming doWn on the price she politely explained that it just went out on the floor that day and that there wasn't anyway to bring down the price. I'm a frequent shopper/buyer at Leon's and I had never seen her before so I'm assuming she was new to the position. I proceeded to Customer Service and asked the ladies the same question and they explained that they don't do that sort of thing. I asked her if I could speak to a more seasoned associate because in the past I have negotiated a floor model armoire for my bedroom set and it wasn't a problem. The lady in customer service paged the next available associate and asked "what can I do for you?" I explained and he ripped the paper out if my hand and told me "Look at this (pointing to the date it was put on floor "What do you expect? " I told him about about my armoire and he said I've been here for 19 years and I've never seen this His tone was rude I don't like things snatched out of my hands and I surely don't appreciate being spoken down to. I am a women of African ancestry and within the last few years I just started going back to Leon's after the lawsuit against them. I'm a good customer and I spend a Lot of money at Leon's I feel disrespected and I don't appreciate this treatment. Please respond PROMPTLY!

Leon's Furniture customer service

One month ago we purchased appliances. We received two appliances however the stove was to be here within three to four weeks.
After two weeks i phoned to find out the date it was to arrive, we were told at first there were no stoves available.. Then we were told within the next week or a few days after that.
Tried calling customer service at least 4 times, was always told the manager would call us back within the half or at least within the hour.

Still waiting. Spoke to the salesman and he told us it would be here soon.

Called back to find out the stove was still sitting in B.C.
Spoke to a lady in customer service, she offered us $50. 00 for all our troubles.
How is that amount going to help us with no oven.

She was extremely rude. The salesmen said i should go elsewhere to find a stove. What kind of company does this.
Next day went to Coast Appliance, walked it paid for a stove, went to the warehouse on the way home and picked it up.
LEONS SHOULD TAKE NOTE FROM THIS COMPANY.
NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM LEONS, NO MATTER WHAT!

Leon's Furniture service care and return policy

Before l purchased in leon's sales representatives was very polite and good to us..after when that sofa l bought doesn't fit in my condo..l tried to exchange but what happened that customer care person polite done and he racketeered to call police...if l am not leave store same like he own Leon ‘s...when you want to buy something in Leon ‘s think twice...customer service and return policy nothing...l never want to go shopping in Leon ‘s again

Leon's Furniture poor service late delivery

We had purchased a sectional what is set to be delivered in six weeks which would be December 11 on December 9 I phoned the store to make sure it would be in on time to find out that it will not be in till the end of January possibly at the earliest after spending the amount of money I did I did not expect to wait three months for a couch please call me at [protected] Iview choir some type of service due to those long wait very un impressed

Leon's Furniture online purchase for a tv

I will never buy online from leons. You should not either! Go to best buy or walmart.

I purchased a 58"samsung tv that was on black friday / cyber monday deal for $699. The purchase date was november 26th, and I bought it online at leons. Ca. (at the same day, the same model was on sale on walmart and bestbuy also) when I placed the order online, it said it will be available for pick-up at my desired location on november 28th. So I went ahead and paid for it. After I placed an order, there was no confirmation number or any tracking number. When november 28th came, I still did not hear anything from leons. But the next day, a customer rep called me to verify my order. She asked me couple of questions to verify my order and informed me that I will hear from a local store when the item is received from their headquater in toronto. So I waited, but still no tracking number or any sort of confirmation number. So I called the customer support at [protected]. The receptionist picked up the call and transferred the call, but then no one answered. This happened twice. I even left a message, but no one gave a call back to me.

Today (dec 5), I received an email from leons that my order was cancelled. The email doesn't say any reasoning. Only the subject of the email says"order leons-ww-13175 has been cancelled" and the body doesn't even have any contents.

I am very frustrated that now most of the good deals from black friday/ cyber monday are either gone or all sold out. I missed out a great opportunity because of leons unprofessional behaviour.

Leon's Furniture terrible service from manager

I had placed an order for a freezer on November 6, 2018. I called back the week of November 19th and after a few calls back and forth I was told that it would be in by Friday, November 30 and that it usually takes a day later to deliver. I called back on the Tuesday December 4th at 1pm...spoke to one lady who told me she would call me back. I called back at 4:15pm to find out what is happening to get another lady (who by the way told me the shipment was going to be in November 30th) proceed to put me on hold only to pass me to the manager of the store. I explained the whole thing and he becomes defensive and rude. Tells me if I'm ready to cancel my order he would, without even looking into the situation he was ready for me to cancel my order. What manager does that? Anyways, he proceeds to be very rude telling me he that he deals with all these situations and I ask why he hadn't heard of mine and he replied quote " Well I was on lunch"... it was now 4:30pm...how long was your lunch hour. Also, who answers that to a paying customer (Oh yah they already billed me for this at the beginning of the month). Then he proceeds to tell me he is going to look into it and call me back shortly. By now I have spoken to 3 people and still no one can tell me about my order. Of course he doesn't call back shortly. I called back at 4:55pm only to be told that he conveniently has stepped out and that she will give him the message to call me back asap. Well, it was now 6pm and no call back. I then called back and just asked to cancel my order. At this point I didn't care anymore where my order was, I just wanted my money back. PS. Same night I placed an order elsewhere and was confirmed delivery in 4 days.

I don't know if this will mean anything to anyone, but the so called manager you have representing Leon's in Cornwall, well lets just say he is no manager.

Leon's Furniture unprofessional, unclear, uneducated staff

We purchased a washer and dryer on November 22nd. First off, the employee that was helping us we extremely uneducated on the appliances that we were looking for, and extremely unprofessional. He left us on numerous occasions to go talk to customers that I'm assuming were friends or family. He first told us that it was price match guarantee PLUS the 5% that they were offering that day. So once i told him that we had found them cheaper at The Brick, he quickly told us that we could only do either price match or the 5%, which doesn't meet what he told us at all. Then, we were asking questions about the washer as there was only a cold pipe at the back, and not a hot pipe. He had NO CLUE, what we were asking him, and then proceeded to go ask the manager. The manager also had NO CLUE why this was. All i had to do was go online and search the description of the product and it was quick to tell me why there was only one pipe. So clearly he and the manager are uneducated. We got them delivered on Friday November 30th. We no longer need the washer and the drier as we are no longer doing 2 laundry rooms in our house, only 1. We went today, Sunday December 2nd to return the washer and drier. We were told that all appliances are FINAL SALE.. which we were not informed about at all! Our receipt does NOT state whatsoever that the products were final sale. In past experiences when buying things that are final sale, we are notified and a big red stamp that says "FINAL SALE" is usually put on the receipt. The employee at Leons, DID NOT once inform us that the products were final sale. We had no idea, and now are left having to pay a restocking fee of 25%, which was also NEVER stated to us. The Customer Service at the Jane location, in North York, Toronto, was NOT helpful at all. Every employee that we have dealt with thus far at Leons, has no idea what is going on, or what their talking about at all. I can guarantee you, that we will NEVER EVER, purchase anything from Leons ever again, and will also make it very clear to everyone what Leons is all about. They don't even deserve the one star that i am forced to give.
