job listings
Very sketchy business practices. Poor communication, staff is clueless on company policies. Speak to 3 people you will get 3 different stories on company policy. Should be sued for unethical and illegal practices. Closes account and blocks listings but does not communicate or provide any information to restore service. However they charge for clicks even though they clocked accounts. Disputed charges and won dispute.
job opportunity
Hi,
I recently apply for a job in a indian restaurant through indeed. After few days later one of staff member of that restaurant contact me and ask for which position do you like to work (Waitress or kitchen hand) then I replied for that and I few days later again he contact me and ask weather still I am interesting about that job or not. Then I told him that I am still interesting about that. Then he asked me to come for a movie after the interview. Then I told him I can come to the interview but not for the movie. Again he forced me to join with him.
This seems to be as a sexual assault.
I have already attached the screen shots for your kind information.
I am looking forward to get further action against this assault. After this, I was very uncomfortable about this conversation.
Please get necessary action to regarding this conversation.

job applications and resume online
I placed several applications and attached my resume to different jobs through indeed. I spoke with a dentist's office to pay for services provided for my son. While on the phone I asked if they had received my application and resume for their job posting. They had not. I'm not getting calls from any of the postings that I applied for. Is any receiving them?
Unauthorized charges
Indeed is a scam of a site! After having an issue with them a few month sago, I should have known better. They now are trying to charge for a job position I had posted with them. It was clearly listed as free, now they have charged my credit card 600.00 dollars. They refuse to eliminate the charges, I was told they would have to dis-able my account to...

I submitted a cover letter and resume to a job posting I found on indeed.com. I copied and pasted the cover letter into the application provided by indeed.com, then attached the two-page resume. When I received the confirmation of transmittal to the employer, indeed.com attached a "copy" of my resume. What they submitted on my behalf to the employer doe...
Read full complaintinsane amounts of censorship
Why does this company even have a section for employees to review their employers? I've tried to submit my experience of what occurred at one company, in what I would argue to be professional language, no inflammatory terms and the such. Yet, despite numerous attempts to "reduce the truthfulness" of my review, Indeed censored every single review I've tried to post. Why? I don't use profanity, I didn't lie about anything, I'm just offering my experience and opinion on a company I worked with.
If you won't let people post truthful accounts and reviews, why even bother operating this segment? You let companies pay people to post fake reviews to boost up their ratings and trick people into thinking they are a good employer, and yet you won't let the truth fly? A+ for censorship efforts, F for transparency. Guess we all know what Indeed's values are and where they stand in terms of ethics.
Wow; this is exactly what I am experiencing.
8 times I have had an honest objective extremely diplomatically written review - rejected.
Either this is nefarious business practice (the less salient relevant to the point and contextual info one delivers to potential candidates and future employees - the more those revolving doors of recruitment and retention that keep Indeed afloat - revolve. In fact the job market will gain even more employees joining and leaving because of fake watered down bland reviews that perpetuate and future proof the profits of Indeed.
Or, it is a genuine glitch.
Indeed asked me a question once when I logged on;
'does X (previous workplace) - have a dental policy in place for its staff?'
I answered, 'no' (it doesn't, but whether it did or did not this is a one word answer - and btw it definitely does not.)
This got REJECTED; ie clearly evidencing the fact Indeed suffers internal glitches.
Despite me proffering this by way if evidence of glitching, the Indeed person dealing with my multiple emails asking about why my review is rejected - just re sent guidelines which I had read 100 times and had adhered to.
I wrote a review mentioning my experience as a Senco in the broader context of the role obviously mentioning how this worked in relation to other depts there; that is the definition of a company review. It is not possible to review one's job in isolation (that would be a job spec); the only way one can reference one's own enjoyment of the role or not, is by explaining the interlacing with other depts. Which is the essence of any job - team and staff interaction.
They seem to have rejected it because a) I highlight positives about the company at large (great tutors ((critical to my role)), strong IT back up ((critical to remote working)), strong SEND support ((critical to my role)), strong marketing ((shows a forward thinking team)), etc etc
Have they seriously rejected it because I write a proper review ie one written about my job in its context ie in reference to the teams we all have to work with in order to work in a company?
And have they also rejected it because I reference the strengths of the company in the broader context of the sector it is in?
Again - both these reasons for rejection would mean it is a censoring dictatorship that forbids anything close to a review? How can a review be a review if it is a list of the jobs one did? It won't be a review, it will be as i say above - a job spec.
It is the most bizarrely draconian experience I have ever had in my entire living life residing in a democracy and under capitalism. Stalinism is springing to mind.
Or, if it is as it seems - a glitch - why are people replying to my questions seeking clarity - refusing to acknowledge this?
It really is baffling and such a waste of one's time.
I know from a lengthy PR Director career precisely what defines a 'review'' : it is neither a limiting and restricted list of a job, anywhere, nor is it curtailed for context; in fact a 'review' is the antithesis of both of these factors.
Ran into this today , i was using indeed to fix my resume and apply for work
and they requested me to review a company i worked for previously so i obliged
no curse words no jargon but they kept rejecting it saying it contained inappropriate language. no names no my boss did this yatta yatta just generalized company was bad to work for and heres why describing work life balance. and they way they run day to day business.
Glassdoor and similar sites are doing the same. I know for global company which is paying such website for positive outlook and the company name is not there at all. Sadly those companies are making millions of dollars with this cen$or$hip business. If they allow people telling the truth then they will be at very danger financial and law risks levels. Make anonymous blog and share your true stories at some forums. Hopefully unpopular search engines will index it. Google and Yahoo is also using censorship. At the 21 century the freedom of speech, media and journalism is not yet there.
Stalinist like censorship. in the name of capitalist greed/corp profits.
Yep -- Indeed blocks truthful reviews. Nothing in the various policies they sent offer any help as to why. Technically, it is their website so they can do whatever they want to. It certainly is not open for honest reviews. They are a corporation too. Definitely not impartial.
This was also my experience when posting a review on a terrible company I had taken a job for.
Most of the time I couldnt post anything because i "didnt use professional language" or "cant use the site to slander people"
How the hell is warning new employees about a crazy guy who screams at tools of the trade "slander"? Its a public service because I at least attempt to care about another hypothetical person like others did on Indeed. I also did not cuss or use any personally identifying information and had to cut 2/3rd's of my review on them. As most "full time work" gigs are not "full time" as in "will keep you over a year" full time. Its "will have you get up at ungodly hours like 3 am or 11 pm" just to get rid of you within the next 3 months cause " Um its okay buddy ive been thinking about this for a while now-" and be fired for any made up reason or none at all in my case. Hell, msot of the employers were surprised i showed up early or wasn't addicted to some kind of drugs and you'll be [censored] out of luck with getting ANY references out of any of these jobs.
Do not waste your time on indeed. $1000 for 3 months of backbreaking work is not sustainable.
indeed.com is posting jobs without proper consents from companies; most times invalid jobs.
Hi, my name is jose and I represent creavelabs it solutions.
Am an employer and am writing this complaint because am fed-up with indeed.com's misleading job postings on their job portals. We are getting thousands of emails from their website as well as job seekers who mislead from the info shown on their website. We had disable our hr's email to block these spams. But again, people are searching our company name and getting contact details from there. We have to spend much of our time answering these poor job seekers who thinks we are being sarcastic to them, we are sorry but it is really frustrating.
Indeed.com as well as their other regional portals like indeed. Ae, indeed.Co.In, indeed.Co. Uk etc works the same way.
If you are a job seeker, please avoid these guys, if you are a victim like us, please voice your frustration!
Here are few references of the wrong, misleading info (If they saw this, they might remove these though) :
Http://www.Indeed. Ae/creavelabs-jobs
Http://www.Indeed. Ae/creavelabs-it-solutions-jobs
Earlier, when we detected these issues, we contacted one of their people and told them not to post any jobs on behalf of us without our consent. At that time they simply marked those job listings as "not available". (Eg: http://www.Indeed. Ae/viewjob?Jk=1c40f47dad8e3996)
And they have posted them again now! Very frustrating, unethical bunch of "people".
i really need to this job
I am a job hunter and I was mislead with the above information. I was one of their victims :(
racist job advert
Upon browsing for jobs on indeed.com, I came across a job advertisement that I could not believe was allowed to be published and approved by indeed.com
The job vacancy clearly stated that no "black people" are allowed to apply as the location in which the job was being advertised does not have a "black" community. I am extremely angered that indeed.com has allowed this to be published on their website. I do not know if indeed.com has a monitoring system in place and if they must first approve of job advertisements or if companies have free reign over what they publish.
I have uploaded the job vacancy in question.
email services are terrible!
Warning about indeed email indeed.com allows employers contact you via their website. However the speed of the email processing is extremely slow! I tested this myself. I created a second account and emailed myself as if I was an employer. It has been hours and the email from the employer (Me) to myself still has not come through. Indeed has no phone number to call. I have tried contacted them with questions but their "solution" was to change my email account. I am very concerned that the speed of their "communication" tools are going to ruin my chances at getting this job.
virus obtained
I couldn't find another way to notify you about this issue. One of my team members obtained a virus today and we are pretty sure it came from your website. It was a Cryptowall virus. We thought you should be notified to check your systems and avoid other issues.
First of all Indeed runs out of Ireland with office in Dublin if you check the bottom of their page so this office listing in Texas good chance it is Fake.
I totally agree that it is bogus site with no security.
job offer scam
I have been emailed by a Mr Benjamin Perrizaz saying he works fro company Northrop Gumman Corp. While I know this company to be legite nd involved with security I can see the email was firstly sent to me in the south pacific and the company is in the US, No mention of where the job is. Saying his secretary is pregnant and needs someone to pickup mail, etc., This is not a proper job and Im not sure why they would scam a person that is looking for a warehouse job. Nayway please ignore the job offer and what was unusual is the email address looked like this.. Benjamin Perriraz via Indeed
The email fromBest buy
Sorry I was scamed also by Michelle Sanchez via indeed about a job offer
I do was scamed them using via indeed need to file a complaint
employment scam
I recently received a scam from a so-called employer by the name of expert-a group ltd. Please do not even entertain them with a response! They tried to get me through email to sign an employment agreement and also filled in the registration form giving out contact details and furthermore asking for my picture. I thought it was very weird and went on their website which was under construction. The next day, another email from them asking if I would consider the position and this time, they their website was up and running but still it just didn't looked right. Moreover, the so-called employee manager, ruby hlloway didn't even sound professional based on her grammar. She she she's the "curator" of the company. A curator is usually someone looking after a museum. Anyway, just be on a lookout for these scammers. It's bad enough trying to look for employment and now scammers on us to do harm.
indeed.com plugin virus beware!!!
I added the indeed.com plugin to my blog but when I did it invaded all my adsense ads and it took over the "Related posts" plugin that is supposed to show my other posts. Now my entire blog is overrun by this indeed virus. I contacted Indeed directly about one month ago to remove the account and they said they did but they lied. My account is still open and my blog has been destroyed by these plugins that cannot be removed. I have lost money from adsense and want everyone to beware of this virus plugin. Once you put it on your blog you are done. You can forget about earning an red cent from adsense again because their plugin does not let anything else run. Indeed.com is a scam. They offer absolutely no account closure option or plugin removal option so once you sign up you may as well forget about ever being a part of adsense. I wish I would have known this before. I wasted 4 years on a blog that is now garbage taken over by the indeed virus.
unsafe website
I posted my resume on indeed.com for local employment opportunities. After posting my email box was flooded with 50 messages per day from other employment websites. I assume indeed.com is selling information to these other websites that I didn't sign up for?
I uploaded my resume on the internet to "indeed.com" with personal information and I am convinced it's not secure.
Why... , because since then I have been receiving all this junk in my email box, and not only with job information.
I receive sexually explicit emails from individuals in my area who want to connect with me because they have seen my profile!
Plus emails from russian and asian sites looking for sexual connections.
It has taken me a full day to unsubscribe from all these sites, plus spend money to ramp up my internet security.
I want to know if any other people who have subscribed to "indeed.com" have encountered the same issue?
Yes, they harbour a lot of scam, many fake businesses post fake jobs probably to steal personal information. I had a recent experience, but I intend to report it to the police so I will not make it public yet. Indeed is an unsafe site.
indeed.com wordpress plugin virus warning
I uploaded the indeed wordpress job importer to my blog thinking it would make my site more interesting and viewer friendly for jobs, however, as soon as I inserted the indeed job plugin it took over all my other plugins I had on the site. The indeed plugin literally invaded all of my adsense codes and even my "related posts" widget. It literally took over every plugin I had installed for income and even after I turned the indeed plugin off and deactivated it, still it will not get off of my site. This has caused me to lose quite a bit of income through adsense. I have already emailed indeed to remove my account with no answer. I am horrified by this plugin. Do not use the indeed job importer plugin for wordpress. Unless of course you want your entire site to be nothing but indeed jobs and nothing else. I find this to be very virus like and they conveniently make your back office account very vague so there is no options to fix or remove this. This alone set off red flags that this company is not to be trusted! They do this knowing full well it's a problem. I found another thread from a site as a matter of fact that tries to help people get rid of this virus like plugin but to no avail. Indeed.com has made sure once you upload the plugin it's there for life unless they feel like removing it!
blocking ad posting
I work for a small business that helps low income people. I have relied on indeed for job posting because they are less expensive than other job posting sites. After months of using the site they prevented me from posting jobs and said they needed to verify the account to make sure I was posting real jobs. This part seemed reasonable. I sent them all the information they asked for and then they still wouldn't allow me to post jobs. I asked if there was anything else I could send to have account approved and then sent them everything that would verify that the company is real and not a scam. They wouldn't even look at any of the additional information.
I think it's pretty bad that this job site does have scams on it but when a business who gave them proof of their legitimacy and purpose is to help low income people tries to post jobs they don't allow it.
service
The worst job board experience we ever had as a firm. We got hooked into a trial for their job posting service by a slick salesman. The service never produced results and we cancelled within 3 weeks of starting it. Indeed hit our credit card for over $2, 300 off of 3 job posts that produced no matches. The 'resume traffic' they sent us was complete junk. When we tried to get our money back we got bounced from supervisor to supervisor with no restitution for the bad service. Your money is better spent staying with cb, monster, linkedin and dice.
Indeed.com looked okay at first. I did enter a job post valid for a few months. Strangely, this site did not have an expiry to set for the job. I still went ahead when I saw I could set it up with $0, so I expected they would drop it automatically later. Fat chance. Since they had recorded my credit card, a year later (last month) they charged it. I promptly stop payment and this triggered them to send an invoice and have a representative emailing. I looked on their website and deleted the job post and tried to find my payment info. Nothing came up, other than their sudden fee. It was a mistake to give them a credit card number and trust them with it. I have never seen such crappy company in Canada. I don't think they should get away with this and their site should be shut down. I read today all the fraud, horrible, phoney service even, that they do and I am shocked. I suspect their positive reviews are done by their own employees. It is criminal to steal like this. The company is probably owned by the mafia. They will milk it until it is dead.
abuse call received
Some lady call from indeed office and abuse me wherein I have applied for job in banking sector. Pls treat this complain and and take action againts that job portail. Details for call which I received.. Mobile no: [protected] state: kolkata service provider:tata docomo service type: gsm
fraudulent deduction of charges
We have been placing ads with indeed.com for some time. Some of these ads are paid ads. There were quite a few resumes from prospective employees. We suddenly discovered that all these resumes were wiped clean including the ones that were paid for by us. Our efforts to contact indeed did not yield any results. We just got a curt reply from them saying that they are unable to restore our account and that we would not be able to get in touch with them again in this connection.
Now we notice that they have debited approx $70 from our bank account which is shown as credit in our indeed account. This is just a scam. This is a company with no responsibility towards customers and should be penalized for their irresponsible actions. We intend to move against them legally as they cannot be allowed to take customers for granted.
This is what they wrote to us when we appealed against the "suspension"
"thank you for taking the time to go through our appeal process. We have reviewed your account but are unable to lift the suspension. You are not able to contact job seekers through indeed. Suspension of your ability to contact job seekers has no effect on your ability to post or sponsor jobs on indeed. Further appeals or related communications for this suspension will not be considered or responded to. "
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
