Frigidaire / Electroluxmy 82 year old mother's brand new stove is still not repaired and not working

Mid November stove had flames shooting out of the control knob. Tech came out said stove may be irreparable. We have heard nothing since!!! Three weeks during the holiday season without a stove is unreasonable!! Every call to check on what is happening is met with the same pat response, "the photos have not been reviewed yet". The claim number is [protected] - this should be a no brainer! We had to purchase a cook top so my mother could cook something. We should be reimbursed for that cook top! The original tech told us 3 days we would hear from Electrolux/Frigidaire and other than our calls in to them we have heard nothing.
