DeepDiscount Bad customer service

I placed a preorder on May 20, 2010. Five days later, they canceled the order without my consent. After I emailed them as to why, they replied saying because of my problems with them in the past (false advertising with preorders), they felt the need to cancel my order. My significant other contacted them and complained. They responsed with a very nasty phone call, calling me a "troublemaker", and they didn't have the patience to deal with my "shenanigans." I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Chicago in reponse to the name-calling and the extremely rude phone call. And I will never, ever, ever shop there again.

I bought a CD alarm clock and the CD player was defective. I called and left a message for the customer service to call me back and also sent email requesting return label as directed on the shipping insert. I received an email saying they had sent the shipping label. I never received it and requested another which again was not received. I tried the customer service number again and was on hold for over 30 minutes then called back and left my number for them to call. No one ever called and I then received an email from them requesting payment again for the item I had already paid for via PayPal. I have an open PayPal claim for the refund.

DeepDiscount Shipping Charges

I ordered two books for my son. I paid for expedited shipping, which the DeepDiscount.com web site said would have the books arrive in 3-5 business days. The books did not even ship for three days and then they were shipped via 5-10 day delivery. Eleven days after paying for expedited shipping, I still do not have my order.

DeepDiscount Bait & Switch + Quazi-Phishing

I saw a pretty good deal on a set of poker chips. I placed the order, they took all of my personal information including my credit card number, and presented me with a confirmation that the order had gone through. However, I received an e-mail several hours latter indicating that the item had been "Discontinued." It wasn't discontinued when I ordered it.

Now they have my personal information, and are probably going to sell it to direct marketers. This is classic bait and switch, accompanied with quazi-phishing.

My advice, shop elsewhere, or if you need to use this company, call first and make sure the item is in stock before you give them your credit card number. Ofcourse, I wasn't able to find a phone number on their site... bad sign...

DeepDiscount Stay away from this merchant.

I recently ordered a calendar from DeepDiscount.com as a Christmas gift. It was my first, and will be my last. I usually check resellerratings.com before making my first purchase with a merchant. Unfortunately, I didn't this time or I would have saved myself some time and trouble.

Their website reflected that the item was in stock. I received the initial order confirmation, which to be honest I did not read closely. Several days later, after receiving no further communication, I decided to log in and check my order status. Much to my suprise and disappointment, the order was still "processing" and showed that it was backordered.

To their credit, the original order confirmation email they sent did say it was "On-order" and "Temporarily Out of Stock". And they also responded to my request to cancel VERY quickly. But it never should have come to that. It is clear from the other reviews here that this company has a major issue with selling items on their website that they do not have in stock. They have clearly had this issue for some time and apparently have not addressed it. Their response to my cancellation request stated that their website was not updated with the status of the item at the time I placed my order. Well, it's still not updated. Clearly, based on this instance and many many previous reviews, deepdiscount.com does not care that their website continues to sell items that are not in stock.

So if you want to avoid wating time and a hassle, stay away from this merchant.

DeepDiscount Bad service

Needed a present for my girl so placed an order for Horse Life DS game. It was "In Stock". Got a confirmation email stating it's "In Stock". Waited a few days for the shipment notification and then checked the account. Oops, now the status was "Back ordered". Curiously, the product webpage still showed it in stock. Called and was told that the item is back-ordered. When I said that I have an email from them stating it's in stock, the response indirectly suggested that I am a liar. Wow!
My advice is to buy somewhere else rather than trying to save a buck or two.

I ordered several blu rays from Deep Discount in early Dec. They told me that the items were shipped, but the tracking number indicated that USPS never received anything from Deep Discount. 10 days after I made the order, I suddenly got a re-fund with no explanation from Deep Discount. Very poor communication, and the two items I ordered are still listed as being available on Deep Discount, but at a higher price than they were 10 days ago. Makes no sense. My best guess is that at least one of the items was priced incorrectly at the time I made the order, and Deep Discount wants to cancel people's orders in order to make more money by hoping that customers order the item again at a higher price. Shameful, and I will never order from them again, esp. because they never bothered to explain why my order was cancelled.

BTW, I don't use Deep Discount too often, but another time, about 10 years ago, they failed to ship me an item and did not realize it until I contacted them asking where the DVD was. I've never had these kinds of problems with high volume E-bay Sellers, or DVD Empire, Amazon, or any other on-line store.

I have placed many, many orders with Deep Discount (thousands of dollars). They have great prices (even better when you get a 15% off promotion) and a great selection. I have had several out of stock notices, but they always refund PayPal quickly. I have also had a few defective items. They are quick to send a return-shipping label and either refund or send a new item right away. Pre-orders are always shipped. Some people have no patience (or don't look at the release date). This company has been an AWESOME source for music. They are honest and responsive. GREAT COMPANY.

This place is a SCAM!

Ordered a music CD for a friends birthday and had it sent to his address. He never received it.
I contacted their so-called "customer service" and was flat out told, in the NASTIEST possible way "If it wasn't received, it wasn't our fault. You don't get a refund"!

SCAMMERS! LIARS! CHEATS! FRAUDS!
Not only did my friend not get his present, I got scammed out of a LOT of money!

I purchase an car amp for Christmas, the first problem started when I was charged twice on my credit card, next after getting the product it was defected. Tried for 2 weeks before reaching someone and all I was told is that they were short of customer service help. Next came trying to return it for just another one, from this date it has taken days just for them to say they're sennding me another one by UPS. Oh it doesn't end there, they mailed it too the right street address, but the wrong state. If I ever get pass this, I will never do business with them again, and will warn everyone to beware.

The book I ordered was supposed to be new and in perfect condition but it was worn everywhere, and not from some accident during the shipment. It simply was used. Edges worn, pages bent. They sold me this beautiful hardcover book in terrible condition unbeknownst to me. Scam.

My week started out by ordering two hundred dollars worth of movies, I needed them right away and paid for over night ..
I had to call because they did not come, I was told they tried to call me and they left a message, not true, The problem was
in my address I had a street address and a P.B number, They didn't understand it was all correct and if they had sent it
I would have received it, I was told I had to reorder the movies . My husband made the order early in the day
and again he paid for overnight shipping.I called the next day just to make sure they had it shipped, I was told it was on a UPS truck and I would have it before 7 PM that evening.I stayed home and again no movies, I called again the first man said I don't see a tracking number for u call back this after noon. I called back and ask for someone in charge-She said I will check into it for u and call u back.
She called back and said I see your tracking number but UPS did not get it.So this women went ahead and had them mail it to me
said you will get it next Tuesday, , I needed it a week ago she had not ask me my wishes she just did it, I got a email yesterday from them and said when the order is sent out ..she said it was sent out-I have been given the run around, lied to.
and treated badly all because I tried to spend around two hundred dollars with there company.
I will never use them again and if enough people do the same, they might get the act togeather but I think that
would take cleaning house and hiring people that care about there job,

Well now! I must be lucky because I have been ordering from Deep Discount for a long, long time, and 99% of the time I have been satisfied with their service and products. That's not to say they're perfect but they do have competitive prices and more than half the time their prices have been lower. Lower than Amazon, much if not most, of the time.

So, maybe I'm lucky and maybe I just happen to shop on the good days, but to be fair, I'm going to give Deep Discount a hearty thank you for good service and prices. I just cannot complain.

I ordered 3 dvds on a special promotioin of 25% off their regular price. They billed me for the full price. When I complained they provided the discount on 2 of 3 items. They said that this item was not on the list for the 25% discount even though it was listed on their website as such. I requested a refund and they said I would pay for the shipping because it was "my fault--not theirs." I will never order from this dishonest company again. I now only get dvds from Amazon and discovered that their prices are even lower than Deep Discount. Moreover, Amazon has always been excellent with customer service issues.

Ordered gear from them - order placed.

Deep Discount ignored it. Said the order didn't exist even though it was on the account. (See the pattern with other complainants, and there are hundreds.)

Then they started overcharging my credit card, and Deep Discount do not allow their customers to remove or alter their credit card details.

To cut a long story short they are scammers, and rip off customers for small amounts because its so hard to get your money back - they ignore emails and lie through their teeth to everyone.

Both the Better Business Bureau and the Governors office/Attorney General's office know all about them and do absolutely nothing about the ongoing credit card fraud being carried by them. In fact some of these so called regulators are on first name terms with Infinity resources management - the company who owns Deep Discount ...

DO not buy from them - your credit card is theirs forever...

Placed a confirmed order on advertised price on deepdiscount.com .Order was accepted and processed but next day they sent an email cancelling the order saying it was a pricing error.
This website is just collecting customer contact & credit card data . BAD BAD SALEs Practises

DeepDiscount Double Charges

I ordered a dvd, got a defective one, sent it back for an exchange... then got charged a SECOND time for it. When I called them about the double charge, all they would say is that they always do a refund then a recharge when doing exchanges, and that charges go through before refunds. They told me the refunds take about 72 hours to process... which means now I can't take any money out of my bank until DeepDiscount decides to give me my money back or I'll be overdrawn!

All of this for a dvd that's taking a MONTH to get. Next time I'll just go buy the stupid thing at Wal-Mart!

I have one better! They double charged me and my CC company wants them to contact their customer service to get it straight and they keep sending me BS emails on how one is a pre-authorization! I will NEVER use them again! THEY SUCK!

DeepDiscount fraud

Did a buy it now on 2 dvds

paid immediately then received e-mail stating items were mailed.
1 day later received e-mail from paypal stating I would be refunded my funds.
they emailed a generic mailer stating the items were out of stock but when I checked their ebay store they had re-listed the dvd at twice the price & had 32 listed.
Tried to call but no response the email I sent was sent back mailer daemon mailbox full.
If you like to take chances then this is the place to shop.
Me I prefer a little more customer service for my $

I placed an order on 9/27/2007 and on this date when checking order status I found 1 item was on backorder. When I ordered the cd it showed as being available and it was not as stated. This is the second time this has happened to me. I was trying to save a few dollars over Amazon and now I will not have the cd in time for a birthday.

Placed on Dec 2nd one item arrived the other one shipped on Dec 12th didnt receive it yet dec 25th. this company have serious shipping delays even with expedite shipping check there facebook page and you will see all kind of problems. last time I order from them.

I also pre-ordered SF IV well in advance and didn't get my copy either. Other outlets that let you pre-order seemed to have shipped theirs. In addition, I placed an order for another item that showed in-stock, but wasn't. My order was subsequently put on back-order (they didn't even have a clue when it was going to come in if ever) while their website continued to show the item in-stock.

Order at your own risk, but I highly recommend going to another retailer. Not worth the hassle.

Deep discount sucks. They take pre-orders and charge you, but when the item comes out they do not have it in stock. Ordered street fighter 4 and waited 3 weeks still didnt receive it. Waste of time and money.

I have ordered several products from DeepDiscount.com
I am TRULY AMAZED on how they remain in business? I am not one to complain easily, but I HAVE to voice my opinion.
I have ordered three different products from them, each not delivered to this date!
One of them was even a pre-order for the Wii Fit. I ordered this in APRIL, 2008 and NEVER received it.
They are stating that they are having problems with their vendor!?
I guess if I open a website tomorrow and take pre-orders for the Wii today, that I too will have problems with my VENDORS! But I would not open up a website and start selling products unless I could deliver.
I would certainly not promise to deliver a product, if I could not deliver it to begin with.
Now, if I did make a mistake, I would immediately notify my customer! NOT DeepDiscount.com however.
They seem to believe that the customer will just forget about their orders!?
In most cases, I did not receive an email notification stating that the product could not be delivered.
Only in 2 cases did I receive an email 2-3 months later. YES, 2-3 months later, stating that my products were in back-order.
Anyway, their prices are o.k., but if you are willing to gamble as to whether they truly have the product in stock or whether you will EVER receive the product, go ahead and order from them.
If however, you are like most people (incl. me), then don't ever order from them. I believe that they use deceptive advertising, and have even complained to the BBB. Don't advertise the product unless you can deliver it. HAVE IT IN STOCK, FIRST!

I ordered 2 DVD's which were immediately paid for. I was told 5 -10 business days shipping. It has now been over 15 business days--no DVD's, which of course were for a birthday gift--dummy me. After repeated calls, I have been given the same answer. "We are sorry for the delay, but we are unable to help you at this time. Please call back in another week if you have not received these items." I requested my money back--they said "no can do". I asked for them to re-ship the DVD's 1st class mail and I will pay return postage if the originals ever show up. Also told, "no can do--DVD's are now on back-order". However, I can still go to their site and order the same DVD's with no mention of "backorder". Worst customer service I have dealt with in a very long time. I tried to save a few $ over Amazon--and will NOT make the same mistake again. This web-site is a joke. Don't get burned as I have.

Same problem, they lied about guaranteed xmas delivery and even made me pay $10 extra for the 2 day delivery. Nothing but problems with this company they are horrible.
