On 11/16/17 I booked a room through Hotels.com for the Days Inn at Lehi, Utah. I received confirmation all paid for and good to go. I get to hotel and announce I booked a room through Hotels.com and Jessi the desk clerk said "Their credit card was denied". Excuse me? a major corporation like Hotels.com does not have a card declined. Tired, single dad with a 4 year old, had to call Hotels.com to rectify, they called him, he was rude to them too and said no pay, no room. He was rude to us as well. Even demanded the pen back as we were leaving. I cancelled the reservation as did not want to stay where he was. He even tried to ask in the beginning why would I use hotels.com? its cheaper to just pay him directly. Uggh.

    I understand why you are upset about the booking, however they absolutely had the right to ask for their pen back.
