Conn's Home Plus / tv delivered with cracked screen and was not taken out of box during delivery and setup

I purchased a 65" LG tv that was delivered on July 20th, and was not taken out of the box to be set up and checked before the delivery company left and I was not aware of the policy on the time frame to inspect merchandise for damage to report it so approximately 8 days later when the rest of furniture was delivered I opened the box to set up the TV and discovered it was damaged when I powered the screen on...and now I'm being told that there is most likely nothing that can be done because of not Reporting it within 3 days...I was never provided any information about this policy nor did the delivery company care to explain it...
