staff saying f-word to customer
I went into my local Coles store (Broadway, Sydney) last month with one of my friends. When we were looking for something at one side, a coles staff was putting up the items on the shelf at another side of the aisle. Somehow, we might have blocked his way, he stared at us and produced some noise with his mouth showing he was not happy. And I was a bit angry and looked at him. He shouted at us, spoke out the F-word and ran away. Is that bad enough? Not yet!
I went there again last night (09Oct2009), unfortunately, I met the same staff again in one of the aisles. He stared at me and blocked my way out when I was walking through with my trolley. After I said "Excuse me", he shouted at me AGAIN and pushed my trolley away. Finally, the duty manager came over, got my detail and I complained the cases to him. The duty manager said that staff may lose his job.
This is a really really bad experience to me. Although Im not a big customer, I do always shop in that store and can be regarded as regular customer. Am I supposed to hide away when I see him again later?

off food been sold
i have bought so many products from coles an have been very unhappy with the product or food when i cook it. a more recent incerdent was aprox 2 weeks ago when i was doing my weekly food shopping i have 2 very young, active children to look after as well as shopping 4 a family of 4 including a dog i had alot on my mind also wat to buy so if my mind isnt racing all over the place as it is i picked up a coles brand garlic bread along with the rest of my $200 dollar shop and put it in the trolley paid 4 everything and went home. later that week we were having diner and was going to have the garlic bread i put it in the oven . dinner was all done. and then i open the galic bread to plate up and it was all moldy. i think its not right that we should have to check used by dates whnen people r getting paid to do that. i am sick of buying off food from you shop i think i have spent enough money at your shop and spent even more on things that are not up to standerd. i still have the recipt and the garlic bread in my freezer. i thiknk i should be intittled to something. you have a duty of care.

I do agree that the shop is responsible for making sure that their shelves, etc. are properly stocked with products that are not out of date. We purchase the products and we should be able to trust that the shop makes sure that the use by date is still in the "green zone!"
smell and holes in product
i had two packets of cheese and onion chips from the coles varitey crinkle cut chips and my partner and i smelt this really strong fish like smell at first we didnt think anything of it and carried on eating them, i finished the first pack and when i went to open the second pack there were holes all the way through the packet and the smell was over whelming. There was also black things in there .I became sick after eating this and i am also pregnant.

about the grocery manger
I am a regular customer of this store. recently the store manager has been changed or as i asked them the guy working there he said that that he is grocery manger an indian guy named bitan, and he is the boss and they have no store manager. Bitan is very rude to speak to i was inquiring about some product but he said that he does'nt know about it and i always buy that product from there since like 4-5 years. and i saw the same Bitan grocery manger what he calls himself bullying his fellow worker about not working properly as he was talking to some one in his language in peak hour doing nothing i was about for half an hour to 45 minutes in the store and i saw him doing nothing but just talking to maybe his friend in his own language and bullying his fellow worker in very harse words. this place was to be very good place to shop to but now i dont feel like shopping there instead i go to wollworths. i have never saw some bullying like this to his coworker.

At the end of the day, the only things that keeps a shop going are the customers.
All the bells and whistles won't make up for the rudeness that is shown by some individuals, be it managers or check out staff. If a shop displeases a person, we can show our displeasure by never darkening their hallowed portals again. The power is within us, if we could only stick together. There are plenty of other shops that could possibly have courteous staff within. We just have to find them!
total loss of a good car
I had 2 horrible experiences with these guys, the first time when they put the wrong tiers on my car they did not feel any action was necessary to correct the problem even after the Cadillac dealership told me that the check tiers light wold be on until I got the proper tiers & there was no other way to make the light go out. The second issue was when my mothers Subaru was sent there to get head gaskets put in; after remanufacturing the heads & taking 2 months to get the car back together they said the engine block was cracked & the car was not fixable. I sold the car to a guy for $500 after figuring out the cost of a new engine & installation, the guy who bought the car had a Subaru mechanic working at his garage who stated the only thing that was wrong with the car was it was put together wrong. Once again Coles garage said they were not at fault & would do nothing!

expired/fungas product
On 8 Nov 08, I bought a 'Sharwoods Naan Bread 260g' for $3.39 from Coles Casula. reciept # 1127 as I was hosting visitors in evening.
In the evening, when the guests had already seated at the dinner table, i was just about to open the Naan to heat when I discovered that there were fungas showing in the Naan. I became astonished and shocked to see fungas. I then discovered that the expiry of the product was 11/10/08. This means Coles Casula was selling expired product.
I became so embarrased in front of visitors as they were sitting at the dinner table expecting Naan to be served. From now, i can't expect Coles product to be healthy and safe for consumption. This is a ripp-off...

I experienced impolite staff of Coles melbourne central.
There was discounted goods but when you put on the scale, it showed regular price. So I just asked for help. And she impolitely and rudely said, do you wanna put in the bag?! I said yes, just plastic bag. Cause usually I shop at safeway, there is a green bag you can choose. And she asked again in unfriendly way, like anger teacher speak to student. Do you wanna put in the bag?! Without answered and doing anything. Ok, I just put in the bag. And, she pointed to the screen, "discounted price"
