Two men called today telling us that we had won $3.5 million dollars as a second place prize in a contest. The money was supposed to be being held by Bank of America. The names given us by those who called were Mike Jenson and a Mr. Lewis. They called us from [protected] and [protected]. We want to report this scam to Bank of America. They told us that we needed to send them $2, 500.00 in order to receive our $3.5 million. Bob and Diane Hickel 678 Hickel Rd. Hartford, WV 25247 Phone [protected] [protected]@frontiernet.net

I had the same thing happen and they were relentless. They sent me all kinds of phony documents as a Graphic Arts teacher retired I immediately saw the fews in the documents. Then they had a form asking for me to pay the tax on the winnings. It had a place for a foreign transfer. Finally the guy called me asking me why I did not want to take the earnings. I pointed out his errors. I told hm Bank of America is based in the U.S.A. and would not need to transfer money from off shore. They finally gave up. I tried to get them to send me a document in the U.S.Mail but they evidently knew that would be mail fraud and they have not tried again since that conversation.

We hope that other senior citizens who receive these calls do not believe them and respond by sending them any money. It is a disgrace that these individuals have the nerve to use the name Bank of America in attempting to scam people out of their money.
Thank you,
