Bank of America escrow account

BOA raised my house payment 36.00 a month due to the escrow increase (property taxes and insurance). This doesn't seem like much to most people, but I live in a small town, so I made a quick trip to the State Farm office & my local tax offices, where I dicovered my taxes went up 100.00 & the insurance 38.00 for this last year. So what does BOA need with the other 250.00 or so? When I called them on it, I was put on hold for 45 minutes and they never came back on! Just think... what if they are doing this to millions of Countrywide account holders! I am in touch with the Attorney Generals Consumer Affairs Office (Wyoming) hoping for some advice and help. Good luck fighting the evil giant!

I had Taylor Bean and Whitaker. You think $36.00 is a lot Bank of America got my loan when TB&W was raided by the feds. The first month our loan was $200.00 more then normal. I called and was told it was a transfer fee. The next month we got a letter stating an increase in our mortgage of $600.00 a month, I called after noting they had put both our summer and winter taxes as $2100. The increase in escrow was still more then the double taxes, but I thought it was s simple mistake. I contacted the city I live in and they informed me my taxes had gone down (because of the extreme decrease in value where I live) $75 a year. I called BoA and they were not helpful. 2 months later my mortgage was increased for a grand total of $2789, my payment was $1200 a month before BoA got ahold of my mortgage. My husband called this time and was told State Farm had not sent them the correct papers and they had given us there home owners, contacted State Farm who had no clue was BoA was talking about. We contacted a lawyer who told us BoA wasn't willing to work with us, they claimed the change was for fees and other things. Least to say we are now having to let our home go. A home we didn't pay more then we should have for, and a home we love. I've heard of many peoples homes being taken after BoA raises there payments so high they cannot afford to pay.

Bank of America fraudulent fees

I have been a bofa customer for 17 years now, with some fraudulent charges on my account that were always quickly resolved when I called. (Wonder how many times other people were charged that maybe didn't notice like I did?)This time was the last straw, though, and I have contacted the Federal Reserve. I recently deposited my income tax return money to my account. A few days later, I transferred some of it to my savings account via online banking, knowing I had overdraft protection in case anything came out of my checking. A few days later, I received 3 overdraft charges! I promptly contacted bofa, and the 3 people I talked to agreed that the charges didn't make sense and would transfer me to the correct call center so this would be fixed. Then I got diconnected and their call centers were closed. So I called back today (3-11-10), and was transferred multiple times before they finally came to the conclusion that they were keeping my $105 worth of fees and that they were right! Really!?!? They say because I transferred it out of my checking account, it was no longer in there, and it hadn't posted to my savings account yet (even though my online banking confirmed that it was), so it was not available there. Where then, may I ask, WAS it? It's MY money, but it's somehow out in "limbo-land" where it's not available to cover my charges? I have been in the wrong before (not had enough money, etc), and I have understood why a fee was charged. But this time, I had plenty of money available, just not "technically" available when I actually needed it. But I am the "little man" and they are the big banking institution, so how do I fight that? This is so frustrating!

I am suffering a lose of $1, 521. 27 phone calls later and a cancelled invitation to consult with my "personal banker" (which I did not know I hired!) I suppose it is wise to use our Government resources which are available to us. The reason: seveal transactions NOT authorized by me were made. Money was taken out of one account- then placed in another account that I hold - and then placed back in the original - and transfers fees were charged to my account! TRANSFERS THAT WERE NOT AUTHORIZED BY ME! - HAD NO PURPOSE - THE OTHER ACCOUNT HELD MORE THEN WHAT WAS BEING TRANSFERRED IN.
THERE WAS NO NEED!AND THEY SAY "PROVE TO US THAT YOU DID NOT CALL THE BANK AND AUTHORIZE THIS"
Why don't they say "we will prove to you that you called and authorized these transactions. Tranactions that make NO sense!

Bank of America property claims

My home burned down on Christmas day 2009 my insurance company was Nationwide (awesome so far) unfortunately for me my mortgage is with Bank of America which means that all checks from Nationwide Insurance have to be deposited into Bank of America and all checks come from the Property Claims Department located at CA6-[protected] Country Way, Simi Valley CA 93065. Although they ARE an on-line bank they DO NOT do any transactions through on-line banking, email or anything except call or US Postal Service. I have logged in more than 24 hours of call/WAIT time, gone through hundreds of people at the call center, all of the managers are in meetings all day and would not come to the phone. They hang up on me and pretend they got disconnected. They are chock full of excuses as to why nothing has been done with the check that I sent them for $137, 500 from Nationwide Insurance on February 9th. I faxed a 13 page invoice on 3/1 for the $72, 000 and $14, 000 that I have spent from my checking account to get my house repaired and am requesting MY MONEY FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY FOR THE REPAIR OF MY HOUSE, and they have done nothing. They think I am so stupid that I don't know they are stalling so that they can use my money and in the meantime my family is displaced, my home cannot be repaired and Nationwide has to pay my living expenses. All I am asking for is my money to fix my house and their bureaucratic system will not allow this to happen. BOA is committing insurance fraud by keeping that money and preventing me from repairing my home.

Bank of America will endorse checks at the local branch. I basically threatened to pay off or refinance my mortgage rather than send the check to California. Such an incredible nightmare to deal with this company. You have to get Executive Escalations on the phone and get a supervisor to get anywhere. After a great deal of aggravation they let me go to a nearby branch where the manager endorsed the check. There was no way in hell I was letting that check out of my sight. I was told that the only reason they would do this for my case was because my credit and payment history was impeccable.

BOA has been holding my money hostage from the insurance company got me a check in a week. I need to repair a ceiling and kitchen from broken pipe. we are talking about $4500. Every time I call its a different answer. Idon't have the $$$ to put half down. I am the policy holder and should have check in my hand. followed what they wanted. They are all ignorant there. If I could find another mortgage co I would. Allstate give their checks to the policy holder under a threshold...BOA is Ridiculous.

update: I sent my check into BOA and they received it on June 08. I have yet to receive it. My check was a little over $2, 000. I went to several BOA to have them endorse the check at one of the local branches, but they said that they no longer endorse insurance claims checks and I would have to mail it into the SIMI VALLEY location. I contacted BOA claims center in CALI and asked for the status of my check and I was told that they mailed the check on June 14. I believe that is a lie because I received a mail from them dated June 14, on last Friday June 17. Anyway, I'm talking to Generations FCU and I will be refinancing my loan to rid BOA. I can't imagine my home burning down and they are sending me on this wild goose chase. By the way, I've had my loan with them for 10 years and NEVER been late one day on any payments. They have no reason to hold my check. NONE!

I have not sent my check into BOA to be endorsed based on these complaints. I went inside a branch on Saturday to get it endorsed and they told me that I would have to mail the check in. I told the lady that there's no way I will mail the check in based on BOA complaint track record. My check is a little over $2, 000 to have my roof fixed from hail damage. I don't want to have to deal with BOA and will currently be looking to refinance my mortgage loan. It's pretty scary that if something major were to happen to my home that they would hold my money. Everyone that has written, please come back and update.

UPDATE: The BOA Property Claims rep finally called me back (I have to wait for her to call me because I can't get through to her if I call their 866 number). She was very nice and said AFTER all documentation has been received from the contractor (W9, Business License, Certificate of Liability) BOA would release only 25% of the insurance proceeds. In my case that's about $4500.00. Mind you the repairs needed are from a sever hail storm that hit our home twice in a 30 day time period. The problem now is finding a contractor who will agree to getting paid only a fraction of his invoice upfront and then wait for a BOA inspector to come out before he gets another payment (which may not be the full balance of what's owed). I contacted my insurance company to ask if this is common practice and they said not really. This is truly a BOA policy. They also said any delays in getting repairs done will result in them denying future claims as they have disbursed funds for repairs but the repairs are not happening in a reasonable amount of time. WTH? I don't have control of the funds...BOA does. Don't misunderstand me...I do understand the bank wanting to ensure the property is being repaired as the insurance proceeds indicate but give my a fair chance to do that in a timely manner. More storms continue to come through my area. If additional damage occurs my insurance company stated they have noted my file and will not pay out any further proceeds. This is so crazy. Why am I being penalized for something that is totally out of my control. I'm so very frustrated with this whole process.

OMG...I'm reading all of the information here and I'm really starting to worry. Our home in Wylie Texas was severely damaged by 2 wind and hail storms within a 30 day time period (3/23 and 4/11). My insurance company USAA has been great. They have issued the first check for the 3/23 storm however they did include BOA's name on it. When I took the check to the bank for them to endorse so I could deposit and begin repairs I was told I would have to send the check to Simi Valley CA and they would deposit the funds into my account. I spent 70 dollars to send BOA a complete packet that included the endorsed check, the quotes for the repairs, the ALLCAT report from the adjuster and the business license, ins certificate and W9 for for contractor who is to perform repairs. I sincerely hope they do not drag this out because this is the ROOF of the house. If it's not replaced in a timely manner more and more damage will occur as we continue to have rain storms in Texas. I'm so thankful to have found this site and have already spoke to my attorney to let him know of my concerns regarding the delays from BOA regarding release to funds to repair my home. I will provide updates regarding the progress.

I am going through the same nightmare as all comments above. When is something going to be done about Bank of
America's Property Claim Policy and Procedures which is to keep your money as long as possible. They have had our insurance money since
April 2015 and it is now February 27, 2016. I agree they are committing a crime against their own customers! What recourse do we have besides removing all of our business from them? They don't seem to care one way or the other. I am shocked at their abuse. C. Tolley

After Katrina Country wide was bought by B of A and they refused to respond to any contact for 5 + years. They did this to wait people out that could not pay two mortgages. I was privilege to be able to afford both. My attorney attempted to contact them over the 5+ years but they held out. Absolutely no response at all not even a pay off amount
I brought them to court and they had to pay for my legal bills $55, 000 and they finally agreed to a payoff amount if the house was listed on the free market. Don't waist your time, sue that is the only way! I now have two insurance checks left to litigate that were paid for out of pocket expenses $75, 00. They have both our names. My same attourny is handleing this so, lets see how much my leagal bills will be this time. Note LA law is different than some states. I guess it will end up costing them arounad 70, 000 more than they expected

I am very dissatisfied with the on going situation I’ve been dealing with attempting to collect money on an insurance claim. State Farm sent the check to me and Bank of America. I forwarded the check as requested to them. My small time contractor accidently used a rural address on the homemade contract and this has started the biggest mess and confusion. This is not a large multi-million dollar business. Just a small contractor who has in good faith agreed to put a roof on my little ragged house to keep the rain out and I can’t get this man his money. Each time I’ve called I get a different story. Either no one knows what they are doing are they don’t care

Bank of America merchant services

I will never bank with Bank of America again. I will never use their merchant services and I will encourage everyone I know to find other banks. In all honesty I have felt this way for a long time. Keep in mind, that it’s been middle class, hard working customers like me who have kept B of A in business.

I used B of A merchant services from 7/1/08-1/31/09. I called a week or 2 ahead of handing over my business to a new owner to find out how to close my account etc.
I was instructed to call after business hours the last day to close my account and that my transactions would be processed by midnight of Jan. 31st.

I also encouraged the new owner to use B of A merchant services which I totally regret now. She has had nothing but headaches with their new system.

I received a statement for Feb. where the monthly charges were $38.88. The one transaction left from Jan. 31st was $47.64! Why this was not processed by midnight(1/31/2010), I don’t know, except it’s a great and easy way for the bank to make a few extra bucks on the backs of it’s customers.

Charging me for a whole month for this one ‘left over’ transaction is just wrong and while “legal” is not good customer service or fair in any way.

I called on 3/9/2010 around 4:15pm Pacific time and spoke with 2 women, the second, being Stephanie (ext. 2624) who was supposedly a manager. They both immediately refused to reverse the charges as “it was in the signed contract”. They were both broken records and repeated this at least 4-5 times each. I’m sure they are instructed to do this. I’m sure many people give up
and go away.

After about 10-15 minutes of trying to get some satisfaction, and not giving up, Stephanie finally agreed to reverse the $25 fee, “to end this conversation”. I do appreciate this, however, I still feel that the entire fee of $38.88 should have been reversed except for the fee just for the transaction (which is impossible to really decifer) but which is probably more like 4-6% of the total transaction. I would never have allowed customers to use credit cards on that last day if I would have realized that this was going to happen and that B of A would not consider a better solution without a fight.

I am now an aggravated customer but was fairly happy up to this point with the merchant services customer service. I put up with the fees and processing structure which again, are impossible to figure out and I think way too much for what you actually get. I did this to make it as convenient as possible for my customers. B of A customer service is good when it comes to questions and help and it should be for the prices and fees they are charging. It is not good when it comes to the bottom line – fees. There is no consideration for what is fair or a situation which the bank may be at fault. They have their contract and fair or not, they are not going to budge-even if it means keeping a long term customer.

People are really getting sick and tired of being nickled and dimed to death by big banks like B of A who are paying their executives and ‘higher-up’s’ exhorbitant bonuses, etc. I was just a tiny small business owner struggling like crazy to stay in business and totally over a barrel when dealing with the bank’s processing fees, etc. The system is totally wrong and should be reformed like so many of our institutions in this country.

If B of A would have responded to my reasonable request in the first place which was to reverse the $25 monthly fee, they would have had a very happy customer. Even though the $13.88 is really too much to pay for one $47.64 transaction, I would have let it go. They are actually making more money than I am with this one transaction (they didn't process when they said they would) as it stands.

I will be sending a copy of this letter to the US Attorney General and the Washington State Attorney General. I am sick and tired of the baloney that we as citizens and business people have to put up with to conduct business.

My first home loan was through B of A. I had business and household checking and savings accounts for years. I have an Alaska airlines credit card and will seriously consider cashing in my miles and cancelling it as well. Yes I’m sick of Bank of America. There’s really NOTHING in it for me.

Bank of America I will never do business with them

I applied for a mortgage almost 3 months ago and was locked at 4-3/4% and then when rates jumped recently I received a form letter stating sorry we can't refinance you under this plan! I am amazed at how poor their responses have been. They are the lamest company I have ever dealt with. I will NEVER do business with them and I have done over 7 mortgages with them before!

Bank of America your npv test results

Denied For HAMP Because You Failed NPV Calculations – What is NPV Test?

By: Anna Cuevas; The Loan Mod Guru

Where you told that you were denied for the HAMP Loan Modification because you failed the NPV calculator and you are wondering what that means?

If the borrower is not approved for a HAMP modification because the transaction failed the NPV calculations, then the servicer must, explain what the NPV means tell you the factors used to make the NPV decision and advise you that you may request the values used in making the calculations along with the date the process was completed within 30 days of the notice of denial. and dates. The reason they have to provide this information to you is to give you the opportunity to make any necessary corrections to the values they used as they make or break your ability to be considered eligible for the Home Affordable Modification Program.

You or your authorized representative, can request the specific NPV values verbally or by writing to the servicer within 30 calendar days from the notice date and they must answer your request within 10 days.
If you request the NPV values and you have a foreclosure sale pending the servicer must not complete the foreclosure sale until 30 days after they deliver those values to you to give you time to correct the inaccurate values. If there are any.

Bank of America poor customer service

Bank of america keeps sending me unsolicited blank checks! They arrive every 3 weeks or so. I have asked them on the phone to stop sending them, but they keep coming! As a result, I have canceled my account in writing. Bank of america needs to be more receptive to the needs of its customers.

Bank of America Abusive business practices

My brother attempted to refi an existing ARM as a Fixed Rate mortgage through Countrywide. He was told that they could only help him if he was behind in his payments, which he had not been. Per their instructions he naively let himself fall behind. He was then asked to submit the necessary documents and was then told that he would be contacted and not to call them. The next thing that he heard after having pestered them for an answer was that his house would be sold out from under him at a Sheriff's sale. He lost the house and was given 6 months to get out or he would be evicted. My brother was too proud or embarrassed to ask for help and he knew absolutely nothing about such matters. He panicked, went into a deep depression and on 12/16/08 he shot himself in the mouth with a shotgun, two days before the eviction hearing. This was a man with no credit card debt or any other problems in his life. I have since heard from several other people who were told the exact same thing from Countrywide. Does anyone here have a similar story? I am considering joining or starting a class action lawsuit. I look forward to your replies. Thanks in advance.

Bank of America home refinance

My wife and I have excellent credit. Because of the low current rates we found we could go from 11years to 10 years on a mortgage saving us about 38, 000 dollars.
We began this process on Oct. 27th. Hardly ever a word. We occasionally receive an email asking for another current pay stub, or a misc. form. A promise saying that "it should be closing soon".
It is now March 1st and this is just nonsense that it would take a mortgage company this long to do a refi.
After reading so many other complaints, I don't think I want to trust Bank of America to service a loan that they are unable to complete.

OMG Sounds like the same CRAP BofA put us through for over a year. Send this document send that document send the same documents a million times so we can tell you we have it and then request you send it again. We were two months behind when they told me in September that my first trial payment was due in December. They told me I could pay earlier but the first trial payment wasn't due until BEFORE December 1st. So I paid before December 1st then I paid January. Right before I could pay the February trial payment they sent me one of their famous fedex packages stating I was not being modified. About 10 days later we got a fedex letter stating we were in foreclosure. I called and they told me they denied the modification February 10th and then put us in Foreclosure on the 17th. ONE WEEK LATER! They said none of my trial payments would count and I was now about 7 months late. We were 2 months late then they basically told me what to do...and what THEY told me to do made me 7 months late and ultimately put me in Foreclosure...Me, my wife and my 2 year old, my 3 year old and 10 year old. Way to go Bank of America...or should I say Bank of SCREWING America.

In June 2009, My wife and I were interested in the Making Homes Affordable Program offered by BOA---who took over our mortgage from Countrywide, Inc.  We contacted the BOA office in (because:"We're here to help you."), and got the run around on that program, essentially a loan modification program, but were told that we would have to apply for the Special Forbearance Program first.

I am a full-time caretaker for my wife, whose health has deteriorated, and medical bills just kept getting higher, even though we have one of those "Cadillac" health insurance programs.  we also had had major expenses on HVAC failure, so things were about to implode.  we had to do something.

We began the process, provided the required paperwork, and waited to hear further contact.  The representative had our home phone, FAX, and cell phone numbers.  At the end of the month, we had to travel out of state for a few days.  When we returned, we had three messages from BOA (two on the home phone and one on the FAX/answeering machine) asking for more information.  I called back, and was told that we were dropped for failure to respond to requests for further information!  I never got any calls on the cell!

We decided to try it again, and this time we were accepted into the forbearance program.  We were leery to say the least, since the program allows one to "miss" three payments to provide some financial relief---but then one has to pay back those three months of missed payments in a lump sum, not roll the missed payments into the loan, so we were told.  It made no sense, but we did enter the program, hoping to get approved eventually for the Making Homes Affordable Program.

We still made the payments (and on time) under the forbearance program because something just did not add up.  I did some researching  online and found too many horror stories about special forbearance options and how mortgage payments actually increased, and people were forced into quick sales.  Glad I did that.

In November 2009, we received notification that we were approved for the Making Homes Affordable Program----a big $75.00 reduction of our $2000/month mortgage payment!  I was told that the reduction amount could be more after our case was fully reviewed.  We began a four month trial period with a reduced payment.  The trial period ran from November 2009 through February 2010.

In January 2010, we received a FEDEX package requesting more documentation (Well, the same documentation I had already sent at the beginning).  I provided it, and called to insure that it had been received.  I received confirmation that it had been received and that everything was current and up to date, in fact the package was in underwriting.

After making the final trial payment in February 2010, I called to inquire as to the next step.  I was told that everything was in order, all the paperwork was there, and underwriting had the package.  It would take 60 days to finalize, verify occupancy, etc. At that time, i was told to continue making the reduced mortgage payment (Remember, a $75.00 reduction!).  I did continue making the payments and on time.

On 1 March 2010, we verified the status of the package, again.  We were told that the package was complete as of 26 February 2010.  But then, for some reason, we were directed through three other offices, and told that the package was complete, but was "in processing".  To what degree of "in processing" we could not get an answer.  In other words, the right hand did not know what the left was doing.

At the end of March 2010 we received another package.  It was the same type of welcome package I had received back in November 2009.  Essentially, I was beginning the process all over again!  I had to resubmit everything!  I called, questioned why I was being asked to start the process all over, and was told that it probably was a duplicate copy, but to send in the information anyway.  Yes, my package was still in processing.  I sent everything again, even more than was required.  The package was received by BOA on 21 April 2010; I tracked the package.  It was due NLT 24 April 2010.

I called to check on the status on 24 April 2010, and was told that it had been received, was complete, and was being processed.  I was instructed to keep paying the reduced mortgage payment amount.

On May 23, 2010, we received a FEDEX letter from BOA stating that we were not eligible for the Making Homes Affordable Program.  The reason: "Your loan is not eligible for the Making Homes Affordable Program because you did not provide us with the documents we requested.  A notice which listed the specific documents we needed and the time frame required to provide them was sent to you more than 30 days ago.  We may also have sent you additional notices about missing or incomplete documents."

Obviously, they don't have their act together.  There never was a main point of contact for my loan modification, and I always received the excuse, that so many modifications are being processed that sometimes items get lost or sent to the wrong office.

I certainly hope HUD is more competent in handling my complaint against BOA.

Bank of America lies and fraud and worst bank on earth

Over the recent months, I have had several run ins with B/A customer service. When Paypal accidently debited my account and caused overdrafts they would not credit my account. I just got 2 more overdrafts that per posted against pending items. I did not relieze that I was overdrawn and had quickly made a deposit to cover the charges the same day. However, B/A charged me anyway (which according to their reps over the years) was different than what I had been told. Great ... now that overcharge will escalate into a significant sum. B/A has no care whatsoever as to how that impact their customer. I am keeping the account open with a min balance of $10, just to cost them money.

I'm not sure about BAnk of America's policy but I'm 80% sure it's similiar at the bank I work for. Most banks' policies use BAnk of AMerica as a model. We will refund the overdraft fees IF the merchant acknowledges their mistake and posts your refund back into your account via your card or through ACH.

I'd rethink your strategy as far as costing BOA money by leaving $10 in your account. #1: What type of an account do you have with them? If there's a monthly service charge, your defeating your own purpose because you have to maintain a certain balance to avoid the monthly service charge. #2: If you're like me and you were lucky enough to take advantage of their no monthly service charge when you opened their basic account online then you MUST keep the account active. They have the discretion of either charging an inactivity fee if you leave the account dormant. #3: My husband had that idiotic logic too. He wanted to "punish" the credit card companies by not using their card again and forcing them to send paper statements each month. Guess who had to waste time by shredding all the documents? Companies are getting smarter and will find a way to save their costs. The penalty is they raise their fees elsewhere to compensate. Thanks for costing us money, "Likonna".

Bank of America obstruction and delays to getting my savings out

On February 13, 2010 I wanted to make an online electronic funds transfer from my BoA Growth Money Market Savings to my home town bank checking account. Although this feature had long been established and was last used in August, 2009, my bank account was no longer shown an an option. I was told by phone that when an account is not used for a long time it gets "locked" but that I could call a specialist to unlock it. As the account earnings had dropped to 1/4% and electronic funds transfers, normally free, now cost $3 with Bank of America, I told them to close my account. Two weeks later I called again and was told it would take another two weeks to "process" the closing of my account. Finally I requested to talk to a superior and got my home town checking account listed again but -- before I could take my money out I would have to wait 2 weeks to receive a little plastic card costing $19.95, on which they could transmit an authorization code which I then have to enter online, to transfer my funds. This is another safety feature, to make my money secure. (If I had a cell phone with text messenging capability, this card would not be necessary.) So this saga of my trying to withdraw my own funds is continuing.

Bank of America foreclosure???

We received a foreclosure notice in the mail from an attorney. It stated we had defaulted on our loan. It did not make sense. We paid monthly to this company on their website. We had an arrangement to pay a certain amount because they paid our taxes in which I did not want them to. So we were repaying this back. Yes, we were a couple of days late but we still paid it. They informed us that we were 120 days delinquent and I could not figure that out. They also did not do a good job explaining this to us. Pull bank accounts to see when money was sent to them and compare to the Transaction History. We did not miss a month, we are guilty of a one or two days late posting but I just can't see them sending us to foreclosure. Now we have their fees, attorney fees and for what? It is such a rip off during this time of the economy. No one knows what the other departments are doing. It is so frustrating. We made arrangements again and made a large downpayment and we can only pay this bill one way. Shouldn't any payments have at least one grace period. No, we should have made sure it posted on time, however, we did pay this company. We are so confused right now and they aren't any help. Is there anyone we can talk to about this problem. Noone should have to put up with being blindsided by the fine print.

Bank of America home loans customer service

Have you ever wanted to speak to a live person from BAC Home Loans Servicing, LP (Bank Of America)?

Here is how:

1. Dial [protected].
2. Completely disregard all their menus and prompts. Don't waist time typing/saying your loan number, etc. This is all garbage.
3. Ones the initial message is done playing, start pressing 0 (zero). Don't press it too fast, press - let go - press - let go...
4. You're being transfered to a representative.

Maybe more people know about this than I think. I was told that 0 (zero) is usually the default for a representative. However, their menu never mentions option 0 (zero). It keeps asking you about your loan number, the reason you called, etc. without doing anything with the info you enter.

I really hope this helps someone.

I am disgusted by the way ya'll have treated me with my making home affordable modification and that you did not lower my house house payments but are now trying to take my home away from me, but yet you will auction my home off for pennies on the dollar instead of working with us and letting us keep it. this is going to stop because if we have to picket bank of america and do whatever else we can do against bank of america we will. call mrs. mccall [protected] CEO of bank of america and let her know to stop doing this to people and also Mrs. ebony brown who told me that either i can accept the modification, forclosure, or quick sale. i asked her to review the modification and she told me that i had those 3 choices only. my husband had to go on disability because he went in for surgery and he thought he'd be back to work in 3 months instead the surgery didnt go well and now he's on permanent disability. if president obama would do what he said he was going to do this would not be happining. “I support John Wright vs. BofA Lawsuit!”

We applied for a loan mod in May of this year and sent in all the paperwork bofa required. We fit into the criteria we owe more then our house is worth my job isn't steady and our house payment is more then 40 percent of our monthly gross income. Well I called weekly for seven months. I always got the run around its in review and then it was in the underwriters hands. I thought it was a timely process, but I felt we were making progress. At one point I was told by a bofa rep that our trial papers were on the way. We had an exact date when they should arrive by. Then came the fed ex letter only to find out we were denied and when I called them to ask why they told me because I was current on my payments, well being current on our payments is a guideline to enter into the program. I was in shock and here is the kicker, before we entered this mod process we paid our taxes and insurance separate, we would charge those so we could have a lower monthly
payment. Well during the process bofa started an escrow account for us and now that we got denied we are stuck with a higher payment then before $300 a month more than our original monthly payment. How is that going to help us. This is a scam and the program would have helped us now instead we might lose our home! buddy012@yahoo.com

Thank you for your postings about the B of A number and the lawsuit...

This was EXACTLY my experience and it took much internet searching to find a correct phone number to call... They will not give you one in customer service and keep directing you to lines that do not exist...

Unfortunately, when you do speak to a representative- they all tell you something that differs from the others and cannot help you AT ALL//////////
I cannot believe they are being paid just to give people the run around and " claim : that they are working on loan modifications and workout programs...

I am mad as hell... and i am not going to take it anymore... to quote the movie network !

Bank of America hugh increase in amount of monthly payment

My home loan was with Countrywide until the big
Bank of America take over. What a mistake that has been.
After a couple of months BOA deciced I didn't have enough
money in my escrow account so they increased my monthly payments $200 so I would have reserve in my escrow account. I asked if they were going to pay me interest on that money and they said no. I said then you don't need it. If Countrywide didn't do it how can you
just decided to do this. I have not been late on a payment and make payments every 2 weeks and its all automatic.
Why with so many families unable to pay their morgages
and Real estate values falling, why would a Bank be allowed to increase payments when an account is not even short and tell me well its in case your insurance or taxes increase in the future. Doesn't BOA already make enough money that they should have to pay customers interest on all escrow accounts. BOA has the rudest employees who are anything but helpful or concerned for their customers.

You are lucky they only raised your morgage $200, they raised mine $900. I started with Countrywide and then been bought out by B of A. They made me impound my taxes and insurance, which I didn't want and then increased my monthly payments. I couldn't afford their raise, so I asked for a loan modification in February and have been fighting them ever since. It is now December and we are still doing the modification plus I couldn't afford the increase of $900/month payments they have put me in foreclosure. And as for rude they are the worst. When they call you with their recorded messages half the time the call gets dropped while your waiting.

Bank of America one the worst service experiences in my ifetime

In process of refinancing my mortgage I was told that I was qualify to do so and 3 days later when I called back to start the process I was not able to contact the original person that I talked to and I was told by another person that I was not qualify to refinance and that the person that talked to me "had no idea what she was talking about". I left massages and emailed the original person and never received a call back. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor and left massages with him (Matt Ellis) he never called back either. When I called back to talk to someone else the person answering the Phone(Edward painter) after few attempts to get someone on line Hung Up on me. This is the kind of bank that destroys other banks reputation. This was one the worst service experiences in my ifetime.

At my work, the majority of peolpe having the exact problem you describe got their mortgage bought by B of A and the "Hell" as you know is a normal practice with them, Welcome to B of A. The truth is they really don't want to give you a modification and they are going to play the scam, "the left arm doesn't know that the right arm already approved you and you're now in default for paying the new agreed lower payment- because now they want the difference back and your house" But it is too late, you are in foreclosure. It sounds soo corrupt, but they do this tooo often to be a mistake. It's more like a basic unethical practice they adopted. Crummy bank, very sorry. Not many people are sucessful, but I truly hope you are awarded one of the allotted "TOKEN" modifications. Every once in a while they let someone slide through, just so they can claim what a wonderful bank they are with consumers.

Bank of America escrow/modification

Back in April 2009 BOA raised my mortgage by placing an Escrow on my account. They indicated that it was an Escrow for Flood Insurance and Regular Homeowners Insurance. Problem was...the home was NOT in a Flood Zone and this was proven when the loan began back in June 2005. It took 3 months for ME to resolve this as they made me jump through hoops with FEMA. I finally got their required documentation and yet they still are charging me from Jan. 2009 to July 2009 as July is when I got the FEMA paperwork stating I did NOT require flood insurance. Jan. 2009 to July 2009 BOA claims is justified. I say they are ripping me off.
The property is a property I DO NOT live in. I had it on the market from June 2007 to August 2009; then rented it. BOA states that for 4 months in 2008 I did not have regular homeowners insurance on it. They charged me forced insurance at a rate of almost $4500.00 per year. (THAT'S RIGHT $4500.00). They did all this in April 2009...very delayed charge I might add and I argued this. First it was for a mere 4 months that there was no coverage (my error) and second..how can BOA bill me a year later?
Customer service is the WORST I have EVER seen in any business. Many many many phone calls, can't reach the same person 2X, no one has the same information and bonus for me...I actually Pre-Qualified for a mortgage modification early Nov. 2009 (due to the additional Escrow non-won battle), submitted the proper paperwork end of Nov. 2009 only to finally get an answer in late Jan. 2010. They wouldn't give it to me...WHY?...Because some BOA stupid, incompetant employee CHANGED MY EXPENSE AMOUNT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE..and now the home is in PRE-FORECLOSURE.
In a nutshell...BOA is going to end up taking my home for a lousy $5000.00 of which we are disputing.
10 letters sent out this week. A detailed letter regarding the entire ordeal, my situation, my plight, timeline of events/contacts, and of my written expenses (so they can't change the numbers themselves). 10 letters...hoping someone, somewhere will help us. 10 letters...The White House, The Fed. Reservere, The Atty General, CEO of BOA, President of BOA Home Loans, BOA Home Loans, etc...IS THERE ANY HOPE?
What a ### show BOA is giving to their clients. I have banked with them since 1999 & have paid off 2 previous Mortgages...are they kidding? I am good for it...but not when you make it out of my reach and NOT even care. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM...Pay attention...they are the single bank that is NOT DOING GOOD BY THEIR GOVERNMENT $$$$. I can't wait till I can give my business elsewhere. My husband and I are hard working, respectable citizens and this has not only potentially cost us a home, but tarnished our reputation along with our credit report/rating.
*****************DON'T BANK WITH BOA...KING OF RIP-OFFS***********************************

Here is a letter I have been sending my congressman and legislators. We have gotten screwed by Bank of America

Dear Congressman,
I am writing you as a very concerned citizen and also someone who has lost my home to foreclosure. My husband and I bought our home in June of 2009. I did a lot of research and was able to find a loan through the USDA that would make it affordable for us to buy. Our loan was originally held by Taylor, Bean & Whittaker. In August of 2009 we made our first Mortgage payment to Taylor, Bean & Whittaker. At the end of August 2009 we received a letter from Bank of America informing us that they had bought out our loan and we needed to start making our payments to them. In September 2009 I sent them our mortgage payment as I did every month thereafter. In January of 2010 I called Bank of America to let them know I was having a difficult time in making my monthly payment for January 2010. I was told not to worry, all I needed to do was go online to my account and explain why I was going to be late and give them an approximate day when I would be able to pay. I followed all of the steps they told me and felt that I would be fine. I called back in the middle of February 2010 to Make January's payment and also set up a payment arrange for February for two weeks later. When I called I was informed that our home had gone into Pre- Foreclosure on February 18th 2010 and that I could not make a payment. When I inquired as to why our home was going into foreclosure for only being 38 days late on our account I was informed that they never received our payment from Taylor, Bean and Whittaker therefore according to their records I was 68 days behind on our loan. I had previously thought this issue was resolved because I had faxed in the cashed mortgage check to Taylor, Bean & Whittaker clear back in November of 2009 to Bank of America at which time they assured me my account would not fall behind. I was told that they had taken over many loans from our previous mortgage company and it would take awhile to adjust customer’s accounts. I spent 35 minutes on the phone trying to get an explanation as to why this had happened. I asked if I could speak to a supervisor and was told that unless my account was current I could not. I was very distraught and could not believe this was happening. The representative from Bank of America told me the only thing I could do at this point was apply for a Modification Loan or pay the full balance owing on our house which was $137, 000.00 dollars. Obviously I could not pay the loan in full so I applied for the Modification program. I was informed that I would receive a packet in the mail in 10 to 30 days via UPS or Fed Ex with all the forms I would need to sign and any documentation that I may need to send back. Weeks and weeks went by and I never received anything. I kept calling into Bank of America and all I was repeatedly told was that they were very backed up but to be reassured that because we pre-qualified for the modification it had stopped the foreclosure process on our home and if by chance I did receive anything with a sale date all I would need to do is call in and they would extend it. I also checked every time I called to see if our missing payment had ever been applied. Until this point in time that payment has never been applied to our account. On July 13th 2010 I received a phone call from a gentleman named Mark. He informed me that he had been assigned as our negotiator and gave me a list of documents that I needed to fax to him. At this point he informed me that I had 48 hrs to collect these and fax them and if I didn't our application would be closed. I was appalled, not only was my husband having ankle surgery the next morning, I couldn't believe that after all the phone calls I had made and waiting for 5 months for this process to get moving I was being given 48 hrs to get my documentation in. I informed Mark that I could not possibly do this in the time frame he was giving me because my husband was having ankle surgery the following day and I was his ride. Mark told me that he could give me one extension for 48 hrs and that I would need to have all the information to him by the 22nd of July. I faxed Mark all of the information he requested by the time line he had given me. On July 27th my husband called me at work and said the sheriff had been to our house and served him with the date of sale paperwork. The auction for our home has been set for August 24th at 1:00 PM. I immediately called Bank of America to find out what was going on. When I called in they said that they weren't showing that our house had a sale date. I informed him that he better figure it out because I just had a sheriff at my home. The representative put me on hold to call their legal division, when he came back on the line he confirmed what I had told him. I asked him why this was happening and if we could extend it. He told me no, all we could hope for was the modification being approved before the sale date. I asked him why we could not extend it and he informed me that we were too far out on this loan modification and too much time had passed. I was outraged and distraught. I let him know that the only reason why it had taken so long is because of Bank of America dragging their feet and that I had just barely been contacted less than 14 days ago as to where and who I was to send my documents too and that I had been calling in weekly for months to find out the status on our modification. I hung up with him and called Mark. I was informed that the investor had denied our loan. Their reasoning was that they said Mark was trying to lower our current interest rate and extend the loan longer than it was originally written for. Mark informed me that this was not the case that he had kept everything exactly the way that it was. He informed me that he sent it back to the lender and also sent the original loan documents with it. I can tell you honestly I have never been so frustrated or distraught in my life. So here we are waiting to see if the investor will approve us hoping our home doesn't get sold out from under us. Mark informed me that the investor could come back and deny our loan for another reason and if he did we could look at other options in saving our home like a payment plan or restructuring or even a short sale. I asked why this is the first I had ever heard of these options. Mark had no answer for me. I was informed that to start this whole process again I would need to contact their payment research department to find out if the lost payment to Taylor, Bean and Whittaker had ever been applied so they would know the exact amount that we were behind. I called and guess what. It hasn't and now they can't find the copy of the cashed check I sent them. I asked how something like that gets lost and was told it drops from the system after so much time has elapsed and that I would need to get another copy of the check front and back and the bank statement showing that it was cashed. Then I would need to call them back get it straightened out and then call the Home Loan Retention Division and start the whole process over again. Two problems here. 1- I no longer have that bank account due to online bank fraud. 2- I cannot find that bank statement. I went to my bank to see if I could get these copies and was told that for $50.00 hr they could research it and then I would need to pay $4.00 per page because it was a closed account. I do not have a problem doing this if I knew that it was going to do any good, because as of yet doing everything Bank of America has asked me to do was not good enough to save my home. I am at my wits end and I don't know where else to turn. I feel that there has been a grave injustice done to my husband and I and this never should have happened. Could you please, please give this your attention and contact me as soon as possible. I loved my home and living in Sanpete county. I appreciate your time and attention and hope to hear from you soon.

Bank of America fraud

I am writing to complain in regard to Bank of America Making Home Affordable - Imminent Hardship Program. I called in in August to ask for assitance due to a pay cut. I was struggling otherwise I would not have called. Was given instructions on what documents to send in and called back to make sure they had received my paperwork. I was told 90 days. A few weeks later I received a call from the "Imminent Hardship Program" . The agent told me I qualified and to apply. I did at the end of Septmenber. They told me my financilas were still godd and that they would ask me if they needed any update. I asked about the time fram for approval and I was told 90 days. I waitd a little longer and called again in November. I was told that my application was actually submitted and still under approval. The Agent was very nice and told me "it will be approved, dont' worry". After the Holidays I received another pay cut. I called in again in January and spoke to a represantative who told me that I had no application and that he didn't know what I was talking about. He hung up the phine when I started crying. I called again and spke to a supervisor and she told me I would receive a packet in the mail within 2 weeks. This was January 19th and as of today 02/18 I have not received anything. I called again today, was on the phone 52 minutes only to be told that my application was submitted on january 19th! They all lied to me and how can I be sure that the last person I spoke to today is not lying to me too? I was told AGAIN that I have to wait 90 days, I have been waiting 6 montha whic is more than double the time and I am BROKE! I do not have the money and resources to go on! During my last call I was told to write a letter to Jennifer Brooks who is the director of the Making Home Affordable program fro Bank of America and I will write her but I will also wtite to all the newspapers and TV news to make sure this is heard!

I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH A LOAN MODIFICATION FOR 2 YEARS I WAS TOLD AFTER A YEAR AND A HALF THAT I WAS FINALLY APPROVED. I GOT MY LAST SET OF PAPERWORK TO FINALLIZE EVERYTHING. AFTER I SENT IT IN I RECIEVED ANOTHER PACKET THE SAME AS THE ONE I HAD JUST SENT BACK. I CALLED MY ACCOUNT MANAGER PRESTON MOLFERD TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. OF COURSE I COULDNT GET A HOLD OF HIM WHICH WAS THE M.O OF ALL MY ACCOUNT MANAGERS, (FYI I HAVE HAD ABOUT 8 MANAGERS NOW). AFTER FINALLY GETTING AHOLD OF PRESTON AFTER ABOUT A MONTH OF TRYING. HE TELLS ME I HAVE TO FILL OUT THE PACKET AGAIN BECAUSE THE NOTERY DIDNT COMPLEATE THE DOCUMENTS CORRECTLY, HE THEN TOLD ME THAT I COULD JUST SEND BACK THE ONE PAGE SHE DIDNT DO RIGHT AND THEN IT WOULD BE DONE. SO I DID. I THEN GOT A LETTER SAYING MY MODIFICATION WAS DENIGHED BECAUSE MY PAPERWORK WASNT COMPLETED! AND MY CASE WAS PAST THE DUE DATE. AFTER ALL OF THAT I GOT THE CORPORATE NUMBER AND STARTED TALKING TO THEM ABOUT THE WHOLE THING. THEN I FINALLY THOUGHT I WOULD GET SOMETHING DONE AND GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF JUST TO HAVE THE NEW ACCOUNT MANAGER THROUGH THE CORPORATION DO THE SAME THINGS THAT PRESTON WAS DOING. AND NOW I HAVE GONE HIGHER TO THE PERSON I AM HOPING WILL FINALLY DO SOMETHING BEFORE MY HOME GOES INTO FORCLOSURE BECAUSE OF BANK OF AMERICA SCREWING PEOPLE AROUND THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THEY HAVE DONE TO ME THAT I CANT EVEN TELL YOU ALL OF THEM . OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND ITS SO FRUSTRATING, THEY DRUG OUT A MONTH PROCESS OUT FOR 2 YEARS. THEY NEED TO BE CLOSED DOWN THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND DONT WANNA HELP ANYONE THEY DONT LIVE BY THEIR ETHICS CODE AT ALL. ITS REDICULOUS

BANK OF AMERICA is a SHAM CORPORATION! I applied for a FHA HOME LOAN MODIFICATION in November 2012. I was supposed to make 3 trial payments starting January 1, 2013. I paid ON TIME for January, February, and March 2013. All payments were due on the 1st of each of those months, and considered late if they were paid AFTER the 15th of the month. I paid the January payment in December 2012, the February payment in January 2013, and the March payment in February 2013. As you can see NONE of the 3 trial payments were late. I paid 2 payments over the phone...and have CONFIRMATION numbers. One payment was made IN PERSON at a BOA branch. The little machine spit out the receipt showing the date, payment amount, etc. To make a long story short, BOA sent me a FED EX letter letter to my doorstep March 3, 2013 saying was was being DENIED the remodification because my payments were not made ON TIME! I'm supposed to show PROOF (which I have) of why I don't agree with their decision. I even called and asked why would they make such a STUPID claim, as I have PROOF that I paid all 3 payments on time. They just said it must have been a GLITCH in their computer system! I plan on going down to my local branch with all of my paperwork, and most importantly, my confirmations numbers on all 3 payments that I have made to them. I also plan on screaming, yelling, and cussing at them, because I'm sick of their $#%*. They are shady shysters...and crooks!

They are not professional at all nothing is consistant. I don't understand how that can be legal! They told me my modification was final, but I have not received any final papers. They told me I could pay my loan payment in the boa branch they lied. I still have to call in then they tell me it should be about 30 days and its been 5 months? Its crazy! I have made all my trial payments on time signed all my final papers everything. They never return my calls. I wish I never tried for modification it has been a nightmare just to lower my payment $100.00. I'm stuck in this. I don't even know if I could refinance or what I could do to reassure myself that I'm still in charge of my home . No one at boa can tell me but to just wait wait wait. Its been since 2009. I have been stuck in this mess! They make many errors! How and Why is this legal?

My husband & I are having a great deal of problems with bank of America. we are waiting now, for an answer to our letter to the Office of the President / CEO.
To try & make the story short: We were approved for the MHA Program in 2010. less than 30 days we received a Fed Ex letter stating, "You told us you were not interested in the MHA program. Therefore, we are no longer considering it."
We had already successfully completed the trial period! We definitely did not refuse it!
This was the beginning and what has transpired since, for 2 years, we feel adds up to "HARASSMENT"!
* We appealed and were reinstated into the program.
*However, within six months we were placed in a foreclosure state, even though our payments WERE MADE ON TIME!
*Once, our property was already SET to be SOLD at the courthouse! My husband was on the phone for hours trying to straighten it out. .Finally we were told it was an "ERROR, a mix up, in which our papers did not make it to the correct department!" They apologized.
* The mix ups did not cease. we have been removed from the program AGAIN, and with no explanation either time. Our payments have gone up, my husband was off work for major surgery, and we are now delinquent! But if we had not been removed from the program we could have stayed current.
*They are STILL telling us that we refused the program!

Our letter to the President contained copies of our bank statements, previous certified letters sent with no satisfactory response, proof that we were active in the program and payments were current when we were removed and also placed in foreclosure!
I will up date when we receive an answer from the President.
I would not do business with this bank Our loan was "purchased". We WISH we had refinanced!

I have been dealing with BOA going on 3 years still in final modification, they are not professional at all they are misleading, and are not consistent. Tell tell me something different every time i talk to them. The first year they lost my paper work i had to resubmit it all then they finally got me on trial payments which it took about a 1 1/2 yrs. I have made all my trial payments on time. They tell me 30 days, 90 days, 6 months something different every time as far as when my final modification will be complete. Its scary because I'm a single mom with 3 children trying to save my home. And I'm dealing with BOA wishy washy don't know whats going on? My husband left in 2009 and left me with the bills and high house note. BOA told me I had to be at least 3 months behind before i could try and qualify for getting a modification for lowering my payments so i did and been making trial payments of $756.00 a month on time, it was $856.00 a month. But when i call they tell me its an attempt to collect a debt. and i have been making my payments on time. I don't know if I'm going to lose my house or what's going on or if this is really a scam, because noting is consistent. No one knows whats going on? BOA branches are not of any help so you damned if you do and damned if you don't. I might have to come up with about $5, 000 at the last minute if i have to but I'm keeping my house and will fight for it.

This is a formal complaint on how your organization handles its “valued customers”
On or about May of 2010 I applied for the home affordable program which I believed was and still is offered by various home mortgager lenders. Since I have been unemployed it is the only feasible option I have at this time not to lose my home
I was told by your customer service department that after an application was received by bank of America which was done via phone based on certain income requirements, bank documents were to be sent to my home for me to fill out and to be sent back with additional personal documents that the bank required to process this application into the program. At that time I was unemployed for approx 1-1/2 years and with no immediate prospect for employment in the near future, I needed help. Just an FYI I placed a call about a month later to find out where was my qualification package from the bank and customer service told me it takes 90 days to process a fed ex. As of the writing of this letter I’m still waiting for those fedexed documents,
Now just let me take a moment to reflect on that comment, and take an additional moment to go through what it takes to initiate a fed package, first you print out a label (fed ex provides that capability to all of its major accounts, stuffing printed documents unto a fed ex envelope ( approx 5 min and I’m being generous) bulk drop off ( even if a corporate mail clerk took a day off it ) it should take fed ex ground about 10 days to get to my front door why does it takes 90 days to get a fed ex ? I seem to recall that your billing comes on the same day every month to my home I assume that it’s handled by another department that uses its data base to print labels and bills or maybe it’s just magic that they appear in everyone’s home mailbox.

I know that you have many homes in which your bank holds the mortgages on, but 90 days is teetering on ridiculous. If that an acceptable timeline for you to help your “valued customers” then I think that you should reevaluate the system. I believe you have a serious problem in time management and possibly departmental management itself.
Nonetheless I reapplied in April of 2011 which in itself is another mismanaged process. I called your offices several times to inquire about this program and if I was approved.
I assumed I was in good hands, no wait that s allstate

Below is a phone call on June 2 2011. to the best of my notes.
1-called [protected] spoke to a Claudia
2-Claudia transferred me to Jawanda at another number [protected]
3-Jauwanda transferred me to Angela
4-Angela transferred me to Dedrick at the advocacy department [protected]
5-Dedrick transferred me to Janis
6-Janis transferred me to Francis
7-Francis transferred me to the hope team (I guess this team hopes I go away) [protected]
8-Havier in the home team office didn’t help at all I still don’t know the status of my application, but I do know that my packages (yes two of them, I guess since you can’t get a fed ex out within 24 hours of an application your organization sends out two and they were received on April 21 and April 29 2011
I want you people to know that I don’t spend this much time on the phone with my immediate family
Let alone “customer service”

Follow up Phone call on June 27 2011
1-spoke to Brianna [protected]
2-Brianna transferred me to Matthew in home retention [protected]
Guess what Matthew told me “quote” our computers were down please call back in a couple of hours”
And he also gave me a direct line to call [protected]. and told me I can calI up to 12 midnight eastern standard time, I bet 5 buck this leads back to Claudia (see transcript of phone call on June 2 2011).who probably only works until 5 pm and to call back tomorrow

I may be a small fish in the vast financial ocean that you people swim in but this is beyond any doubt the most ridiculous process any organization has ever been part of.

I am sending copies of this letter to the veteran’s administration, my congressmen, my senator and whoever else can read this complaint and possibly do something about this totally non working process.

I stand a good chance of losing my home because of this and the reason is extremely simple corporate incompetence

One last thing as of today we have never been late on our payments, I assume that factor does not count in a dire situation

This program seems very fishy to me. Just think about it:

When you want to do a regular mortgage loan or regular refinancing, does it take 6 months to a year? No it doesn't, it's typically a few weeks at most.

Why then does it take 6 months - year or more for this program? It's because they obviously are in no hurry, they don't want to modify people's loans, they are playing games with people, people that are in hardships some or most of them and a lot of the people don't have time and shouldn't be treated like that.

If BofA was serious about wanting to work with the Making Homes affordable programs, they would operate in good faith, not in this extremely inefficient manner that leaves people waiting while they might be able to search for other options.

Shame on Bank of America and any other bank that operates in this way of bad faith.

After working with bofA since Nov 2009, and trying to modify my loan, and sending them all these documents for more than 20 times, they responded back with the fact that i don't have enough income and i don't get qualify for MHA program, it s amazing how i got qualified in the first place for these loans in 2005 when i was hardly making $2000 a month and now i am making $4000 . i got notice of default in Jan 2011, have already paid united law center by Steve Foondos more than $8250 to get help with my loan and nothing has happened and this law firm are asking for another $3750 to submit a lawsuit/ petition against BofA for the fraudulent loans that they talked me into. I have cancelled my medical insurance and have been trying to just pay for necessaties to keep my family in my house, i am a single mom who is the only provider. Is there any help out there, please call me at [protected] if you have any solutions, thanks mary

Have you seen the little piggies

Have you seen the bigger piggies

Stirring up the dirt
Always have clean shirts to play around in.

Bank of America cheating customer on $100 promotion

Bank of America is CHEATING customer on its current promotion of $100 bonus.

I did whatever it required; opened with $500 minimum, used check card one time, opened for 30 days. But their Vice President of Deposit Sales and Marketing, Paul R. Seddon wrote and refused to honor the promise based on a nonsense excuse of ..."the promotional incentive was declined as the account did not meet the funding requirement"...even after 5 e-mails to walk them through the promotion requirement.

Check out the promo page for proof http://www.bankofamerica.com/promos/jump/uspsmovers/index.cfm

I was surprised to see "bigger" bank, like Bank of America, acts as cheaty as "smaller" bank such as TC*Bank that is offering $50 bonus.

Me and my husband we both opened bank accounts in Bank of America 4 months ago. We deposited sufficient funds as well. And after 2 months I get an email insufficient funds. No letter no phone call. When I called the customer service they said it's a business decision and they don't know the reason and have mailed our deposited amounts to our home.

I would like to file a complaint against the manager of tha branch and one of the employee, a woman, I don't know her name. I have been a Bank of America customer for a long time and there they always find something wrong about my deposits. It's unbelievable and I heard other customers telling them the same thing

Am here at the bank, there are about 50 persons in line, and there are only 2 windows opened, I see some of the employees just walking around instead of opening a third window.

Bank of America I was arrested

I was arrested and jailed without reason.
I had cleared my loan and revealed a fraud that was ongoing with citibank and the guys who were invloved,
And after clearing the loan, with proof, I was still arrested after 3 long years of clearing the loan. Why? Citibank doesnt have the answer. The simple reply was "by mistake"..."we are sorry.. It shudnt have happened".
Later on I checked my payments to citibank and I was surprised some of the money I paid was not debited in my account, but to the fraudsters who disappeared from bahrain. It was total trauma... Shame to be handcuffed and jailed and my business clients loosing respect on me! I demand a reason in writing and an apology and a compensation! Your guys take money from poor people like us threatening us for no reason, and issue loans without any control, no verification, and unbelievable loans were issued and drawn on peoples names who didnt even know to read and write and who were not aware there was a loan in their name. Im in utter dismay.. Scared.. If this will again happen or if I will have someone knock at my door threatening me for no reason..!
