Late summer of 2022, I received a letter from bank of America informing me that my AAA visa is switching from bank of America to comenity capital bank. Nothing would change and I would not lose my current rewards. I called bank of America to check on my rewards and they told me I had $681.56 that was near expiration and they sent that check. That check was deposited in my account on September 27, 2022. I was told I had two more rewards of $581.20 and $489.99 that I still had on my account, and I would receive those rewards when the switch was complete but give comenity time to get everything in place. This was to happen around October 31, 2022.

I called comenity of December 5, 2022, explaining the situation and I wanted my rewards. The person I spoke with told me there was no record of such rewards and I would need to file a dispute. I did receive a letter dated December 6, 2022, that it could take up to 90 days to resolve. The letter referred to a complaint that was regarding a fraudulent charge not my rewards. They wanted additional information regarding the fraudulent charge. I called to let them know this was regarding my rewards and not a charge on my account. I did file a complaint with CFPB on May 12 and I did get a response from comenity saying that the dispute could take up to 90 days to resolve. They only intervention from CFPB was that they require a response to me and nothing else. Waste of time. These are the dates I have contacted comenity: 1/9/2023, 3/14/2023, 5/1/2023, 6/28/2023, 7/3/2023, 7/12/2023, 7/21/2023, 8/17/2023. When I call no one has record of my complaint about the rewards. I am told that the situation is very complicated and it could take up to 90 days. They refile another complaint and I get another letter wanting addition information regarding a fraudulent charge.

The news reported that bank of America was forced to make good on their debts. I don't know exactly what that means, but I want my prior rewards on my AAA visa card from comenity.

Thank you.
