Community Financial Service Centers [CFSC] Denied equal right/opportunity and discrimination

At approximately 2:25am, on January 30, 2024, I arrived at 535 Southern Blvd., The Bronx, NY 10455 (CFSC Check Cashing) in an attempt to cash my check. I was informed that I had a file with CFSC since 2019 via Fordham Road (CFSC Check Cashing). After, making me sign the back of my check, the CFSC employee informed me that she could not cash my check. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was denied. I then requested the ladies name to no avail as well. The CFSC employee did cash the man’s check, who was after me, without any problems. However, I was able to snap a picture of her because she denied me my right to speak to her supervisor or have her name to be sure that when I come back in the AM, I can verify to whomever is working that I signed my check in front of her.

Claimed loss: 1. Denied Equal Right/Opportunity2. Discrimination.

Desired outcome: Unbiased investigation into the matter. Said worker be suspended for 2 weeks and Reprimanded and instructed and re-trained on how to properly perform her duties at her position.

Community Financial Service Centers [CFSC] Irs refund

I can't understand why owner asking to see my tax refund in order to cash my check. The website doesn't explain that. This is very unprofessional.

How are u refusing to cash a tax refund.

You clearly see my id and can verify from irs. The website stated you go in with your check and leave with your cash. I enter with my check and id and leave out with nothing.This company I don't recommend to anyone. They do not do what the website mentioned. I clearly listen heard when the manager was on the other line with the clerk to ask me if I look strange or was check fake after she clearly stated it was verify and they still wouldn't cash my check. This location is 4215 e state Rockford Illinois. Definitely need new management and clerks

Community Financial Service Centers [CFSC] Two check cashing in one day is a problem when I did it the same way a few weeks ago same company same difference

I cashed over $200,000 in the past year with your company and now are you in cash two checks at once always never been a problem and now this guy stamped my check and everything wrote on it and it will be all I know I think I’m gonna have to wait till tomorrow every week I cash checks over $1000 every week for two years now And now these guys they want to be smart [censored] with me and laugh like it’s a joke this is not the first time I’m complaining last time I got beat on $100 yo this is I’m gonna report you guys to the news Better Business Bureau you know what they made me sign an affidavit that they should be open you guys should be shut down now I’m gonna complain to everybody how many make a petition

There’s nothing you can resolve in my situation because I was there for 45 minutes and then the fat guy in back comes and says the only reason we went through with it is because you were going on about you cashing 2 checks on the same day and it wasn’t an issue and I did and your calling me a liar now as well it’s in the computer right there one is my company check and the other is my

Community Financial Service Centers [CFSC] Rudeness and poor customer service

I entered the establishment at around 11:30am today 04/30/2022 to play my lottery numbers as I do mostly every day for past 12 years at that site on 18th and seton, the older grey haired and beard gentleman tells me not to come to his window anymore cuz I'm always problem, the fact is that he is not full trained to work the lotto machine and got frustrated cuz I told hem I don't want that ticket that's not what I ask for. Before he started I told him if you don't know how to punch in my Power ball numbers with the power play option for the extra buck to just forget it and give me a play slip which by the way are never out for customers which can simply prevent altercations,so I told him i will use the lotto vending machine,my thing is people like to play the lottery and I can spend up to or over $100 in a visit,if they don't no what their doing don't blame the customer with your untrained rude ness, I have no problems with the female manager! Please talk to hem he will serve me if he's the only cashier on duty!

Desired outcome: Make hem aware I've complaint about his service and rudeness, and to put the play slips of all games in the slots on the side of the vending machine where they belong! Thank you!!

Community Financial Service Centers [CFSC] Phone Bill apply to the wrong account number

My complaint towards 152 East 111th and Lexington Ave, NY 10029. Paid a phone bill on 6/18/2021 in the full amount before the due date of 6/25/2021. A week half later Verizon called to say the bill was past due. On 7/2/2021 took the bill back to CFSC location to find out what's going on . Spoke with Elica S regarding the problem. She notice the full payment was applied to the wrong account number. She made copy of the receipt and bill with the account information. She mention the issued should be resolved in 10 days.
She would called to let me know and have a confirmation number and a copy of receipt. Never received the call from this location.
On 7/14/2021 went to the location to see Elica S to see any updates. She was off from this location and was told by the other teller she would be tomorrow 7/15/2021.
On 7/15/2021 went back to the location to see if there's any update regarding this matter.
Per Elica S she could not give me a receipt, I see someone else. After she told me prior that she Could give me a receipt. I found this impossible to do. I don't know what type a business that you can't print a paid receipt.
Told me to come back later, knowing she was going to leave at 2pm.
She tell the other tellers something in Spanish which I found it to be very rude and unprofessional.
This location need to have a supervisor, tellers that are professional when it comes to dealing customer in a polite matter.

I been trying to get my March SSi check and no one have answer where my check usually get it every month there but never receive my March check and I call the ssi and told me that they send to the check cashing but the manager been nasty to me and don't want to give me any answer please help me with this issue my number is [protected]

My name is Viola Stinson my son had went to the Community Financial check cashing place on East Capitol now I've been going to that Community Financial since I moved here in the 80s and I've always paid for my money order off of my debit card what today which is August 2nd 2020 they don't tell me that they don't accept debit cards to pay for a money order and I'm knowing that's a lie because they sell the NetSpend debit cards and they are check and they check cashing store and I have a NetSpend debit card so that's my complaint they turn me away from getting my rent money order because quote on quote you can go to the time machine and get the money out the time machine and then pay for your money order why I got to go get money out the time machine to pay the time machine money when I can swipe my card at this machine and pay for my money order like I've been doing

Community Financial Service Centers [CFSC] Went to your store on 3 occasions 3/16/2020 and 2 times on 3/17/2020

I brought my check in to be cashed and the cashier told me she had to verify it and to come back tomorrow which was today on the March 17 2020. I went at 830a.m. and the cashier did not want to call the numbers that was provided to her to verify my check. Then she ask me to wait. I called the store at least 4 times and she stated I haven't had a chance to verify. Now I wait until 330 430 to call back so I wouldn't have to drive for nothing and they stop answering the phones. She also stated she would call me back and follow up with me and she never did. I explained to her to not let the places close or she want be able to get anyone on the phone. It has now been 2 days going on 3 days with horrible customer service from them. This is not only taking money from CFSC but this is a inconvenience for me because I'm at work and now I have to leave early to try and go somewhere else. Can you please address this issue because its unfair to me as a customer to be lied to by your staff and inconvenience. I also gave them numbers and tried showing them emails. The new lady that's been there for 3 months was helpful. It's the ladies that worked on 3/17/2020 at 800a.m. start time

Community Financial Service Centers [CFSC] the customer service

I went here and was profiled. Due to my appearance I could not be properly accommodated and I will be seeking legal advice. I wanted to purchase a money order from two different locations via card transaction and after the employee in each location looked at the card I was asked for Id. No problem I understand why but New Jersey state law states that if the card is signed id isn't required and debt transactions don't require I'd. After being told policy is that a id required I asked to physically see the policy one employee actually the manager named "TIA" at your 755 Bergen ave Jersey City Nj location told me she wasn't printing it out tonight to return tomorrow and at your 80 journal square Jersey City Nj location the employee told me "she didn't have to show me and long as she knew the policy that's all that matters." I am completely outraged by the type of customer service I received from not one but both locations. I'm going to gladly share my experience to reassure that no one I know have to go through what I went through tonight. To be profiled because I'm a young African American male in a black suit asking for a large amount for a money order. I am a general manager of a flagship location store in New York for one of the worlds top retail companies and to have to go through this has me livid! As of now I will never return to this company for future services and I'll be sure to spread the word to everyone I know. Honestly you should look further more into these employees that serviced me tonight. I'm sure I wasn't the first to be treated this way and I won't be the last. I and or my attorney look forward to hearing from you.

This entire review goes to show you that whenever something inconveniences anyone the first thing to do is make it about race. Given the situation America is in now I completely understand but if you do not understand someone's job DO NOT MAKE THEIR JOB HARDER. the company needs to run by COMPANY PROCEDURES. buying large amounts of money orders is something this company and any company takes very seriously. If a white man walked in to buy whatever amount of money orders the same exact thing would have happened. It's the company's policy and if you're buying a large amount WITH A CARD it is automatically asked for. These tellers go through so much BS because people do not let them do their job. So if they catch an attitude its them being defensive because people love to question them doing their job and give them a hard time. GROW UP!. If they're asking you for ID just give it to them! They do not wake up every morning thinking "Hey im gonna make this customers life a living hell." No they do what their instructed to do by the company. Treat these tellers with respect and you will get it back in return

Community Financial Service Centers [CFSC] customer service at check cashing place 1869 2 ave ny ny 10029

On may 24 I lanasia branch went into the check cashing place to cash my check. The lady had to call to make sure my check was good as she's writing the number down I tell her that's the incorrect number to call we rent the store from the hotel we not apart so I gave her the correct direct number to our owner of the gift shop which I'm the supervisor of. Instead she called the hotel which wouldn't have me in their system. When I tell her again that we not apart of the hotel and I go thru this at check cashing places all the time and they just call the number I give them and my boss again explains to them how the store just rent the space from the hotel we are a private company. The teller proceeds to catch an attitude with and tell she don't have to do anything she don't want to do and rolls her eye at me and ignore me while I'm talking to her. I didnt get her name but she has a sunburn on her. I understand she's doing her job but I'm trying to help her with the process because they hotel will direct her to their payroll system which I wouldn't be in. Horrible customer first time cashing a check and it will be my last time I also won't be paying my rent or bills anymore there
