Combined Insurance Benefits paid were unacceptable

Re:Policy #[protected]

This is a policy my (now deceased) paid on for 52 years and after breaking her arm-e.r. visit-xrays-surgery in which she had a plate and 9 screws-physical therapy-hospital stay the policy only paid $32.totally unacceptable. $5 for disablilty (3 days) $12 for hospital confinement (3 days) and $15 for medical expense. This is a slap to her face for being stupid enough to pay this for all these years..She would be so disappointed in the way this has paid out for her. She always thought it was such a good plan. My dad had it for 29 years before he passed and she paid my brothers policy until the time of her passing--another 52 years of premiums paid. All for $32. That is like saying all someone is worth is barely $11 a day to you. I would not take any pride in my job if this is the way you treat your customers. Yo should be ashamed of yourselves!

If you choose to respond my email address is [protected]@gmail.com

Combined Insurance Policy and claim

I took out an accident policy nearly 3 months ago and have never received a hard copy, which I had requested. Several phone calls have been made to the customer service department and several times I have been told that they would escalate this. Still, no policy has been mailed out.

Several weeks ago, I filled a wellness claim. I don't have a fax anymore and was told that the oly other way to file the claim, was to mail it in. How rediculous is that? Why can't this have been emailed into the claims department?

I received a letter yesterday, approximately 3 weeks after the claim had been submitted. The letter states, "that my claim was recently received and to be assured that it will be given carefull consideration. I will be contacted with the outcome of my claim". All this, for a wellenss benefit of $60.00.

About 6 weeks ago, I wrote an accident plan for a freind of mine and his wife. Oh, I should have mentioned that I am an "agency coordinator" with Combined! They too, have still not received their policy in the mail as of yet. Making matter worse, the husband died a couple of weeks ago and his widow can't even reflect on the policy to see if anythig would be covered.

Personally, I have been an agent and DSC with Aflac for the past 20 years. I have won every conceivable award including Presidents Club with Aflac. Combined is a joke. Your customer service is horrible, the processing of claims is horrible and the lack of communication isseriously lacking.

I don't think I can be more specific than this. Yu guys have a very long way to go if you want to compete with the Aflac's of the world.

Desired outcome: Pay my benefit and mail me my damn policy

Combined Insurance Disability insurance, make you beg for payment

BUYER BEWARE. After paying into this insurance for over twenty years I’ve hit a time in my life when my body is worn out and could no longer continue to work. This company uses piles of paperwork for stall tactics of payments. They will notify you of this paperwork only after not receiving payments in which you are entitled to after around 30 late. The letter always starts by please file out the enclosed forms which are never included another stall tactic to make you find them online. My disability unfortunately ended my career and while dealing with this large change of life experience the last thing I needed to deal with was a company giving you the run around every 4 or 5 months in order to collect your payment. Please do your research and steer far away from this company as you can. Combined is just a headache when you already have life threatening problems.

Desired outcome: Continue my payment till the end of term.

Approved from the federal government for permanent disability but yet they stall payments even go as far as splitting your payment in half so you receive two payments a month. They bury your doctor in submission of the same exact paperwork with a different date every 5 months.

Combined Insurance i can not file a claim

I can not file a claim. I have been locked out of my self-service portal. I have called CI CS MULTIPLE times. No one seems able to fix this. I FINALLY contact someone from CS who ASSURES me if I fax the necessary documents this will create a claim. Of course this doesn't work. I call CS again and get Camille. After over half an hour on hold, Camille hangs up on me. I really don't know what else to do other than filing for insurance fraud with NYS.

Desired outcome: OMG I NEED ACCESS TO MY SELF SERVICE PORTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM NOT GOING TO CONTINUE PAYING CI WHEN I CAN'T EVEN FILE A CLAIM!!!!!

Combined Insurance Claim not paid

I filed a disability claim this fall, for my second round with covid-19. I sent all the proper supporting documentation and have called combined claims department and contacted my agent 100 times or more. Part of my claim for hospitalization was paid in November.

There is still no record on their portal or claim number for my time missed from work. Please note that the same claim form is used and was submitted and part was paid these same claim forms have all signatures and information needed to complete my claim.

No one answers my calls or questions other than with it has been assigned to an adjustor.

My premiums are current.

Desired outcome: I want my claim paid with penalty and interest and a formal apology.

Combined Insurance Accident and Illness insurance

I filed on an accident and illness claim that I had surgery for on12/22/21, I was off work for several weeks. I filed two claims in December, sent all the required paperwork. I have been told 5 times it was sent to adjuster and have been given different dates that it would be resolved each time. The times passed with still no resolution and when I call they tell me different dates to delay payment more. I am still being charged for these policies that will not payout when claim is filed! I am beyond dissatisfied!

Desired outcome: Both policy claims to be resolved

Combined Insurance unreasonable wait times for claims

this company is obviously not very good at helping people. In that last two claims I have had to file they have both taken unreasonable amounts of time to get it settled. it took over 50 days to get anything done I called them multiple times and all they would do is "escalate the issue". Now my mother in-law has passed and we don't have the usual cushion that we usually do because we had to pay the medical bills on our own and we will not be able to get to the funeral. even when called out on the outrageous wait times they were not willing to figure out how to get me the money any sooner. they obviously do not care about the people they supposedly "cover", and they hold no responsibility for the ridiculous wait times to be compensated, or the problems that it causes in others lives

Desired outcome: payment in a timely manner or at least working to correct their mistake other than "well sorry sir there is nothing we can do"

Combined Insurance Accident policy

Combined used to be a god company but since the lastest changes they have lost all credibility with me. This was a company that used to help people get their claims paid. Not any more. It is a paper chase game with no customer service.
I submitted a claim for a broken tooth. They paid $250 for the minor surgery portion (novacaine). But refuse to pay for the broken tooth. I have caled several times. the answer is it will be escaladed. I wait a week and call again. Initial claim submitted 12/19, last call I made was last week. The lady said I would hear something in 3 days. Nothing.
I had another tooth break and tried to file the claim on line. The website said I needed to phone it in. I tried, but the claims person did not even file for a boken tooth. When I called to follow up I was toold the claim was rejected since I filed for a sickness. I only have an accident policy, I woul;d not file a sickness claim. I did submitt the documentation from the dentist office though the website and told the phone rep to check the supporting doc. She said it was clear and she would check it out. 3 weeks ago and no response.
I have filed a complaint with the PA Attorney General since I feel the company is mishandling claims and wearing people down.
I used to be an agent with this company because i never had a problem getting peoples claims paid. Usally a phone call cleared everything up.
Now it's the bean counters and the lawyers working aginst the insured.

Combined Insurance phony job ads

DO NOT INTERVIEW WITH THIS COMPANY!

I applied for a Marketing Manager (a supervising manager position) position with a company called the John Capra Agency in Dallas through ZipRecruiter. I received an online request to come to their office for an interview. I had a couple of questions first. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a preliminary interview (as I live 3 hours away) and wanted some info on the Agency (there was 0 info about it on Google). I called the person (Ken Keith) that was listed in the interview email. After asking my questions (which he didn't answer), he asked me what I had applied for, about my experience, and salary expectations. He said I sounded like a good fit and the salary expectations were in line with the pay. He added that the job ad should have said Combined Insurance (which it didn't). He said I should speak to John Capra himself as he would have the answers and gave me his number. I called and left messages with him twice and never received a reply.

I went ahead and scheduled the interview (shot in the dark), and drove up to their office. It was a nice office, but no receptionist. A man asked me to sit in a conference room with others (I just assumed they were in line for an interview). I sat next to one guy who had his resume out. I asked him if they were begind and he said he didn't know. A few minutes later a man comes in and starts placing pamphlets in front of us. I get a pamphlet that says "sales careers". I lean over to the guy next to me and ask what position he applied for. He said "Sales Executive".

I pull the man (John Hunt I believe) with the pamphlets aside and tell him that there must be a mistake as I didn't apply for a sales position. He asks me what position I applied for and I tell him Marketing Manager. He corrects me and says its a "Market Manager" position. I refute him and show him the job ad. It shows it clearly as a supervising manager position titled Marketing Manager. I tell him I've been the Director of Marketing for a group of companies for over 6 years and I was never looking for a sale position. I explain how far I drove and how much time and money they wasted me. I ask him how he's going to make it right. He says he's sorry and that it was the recruiting agency's fault. I tell him this is absolutely not true as the 2 people responsible (Ken Keith and John Capra) are officed right next door to his. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was it.

These kinds of companies disguise sales position job ads with meaningless, non-applicable titles that sound super important, yet are only meant to lure applicants in. They never even looked at my resume or location. The serious lack of unprofessionalism and this kind of false advertising by this company is completely unacceptable.

Combined Insurance policy number p8087327

I received an email saying I was not eligibility for a check after paying into it for 15yrs. My husband received his. The reason is because at the April May payment time my account was hacked into and my account was closed. I called Combined Insursnce and said I had a new account when this happened, not in September when they said. I think it is very unfair that they did not send me my check, after paying into it for 15yrs straight. I printed out a payment history and it says I paid up to May 15th 2017. I would never recommend this insurance if this is the way they treat senior citizens.

Combined Insurance Income protection / pay while your hurt or sick and can't work...Scam

They claim to pay if your sick or hurt and cant work. What a joke!
They don't pay crap so don't waste your money!
Find a company that inst into the scam!
I work construction and on average make 40, 000 or so depending on the year and with that type of work there are layoff do to a lot of it being seasonal.
So being laid off at the time and collecting unemployment at time of injury I became unable to claim unemployment (due to injury / sickness) and that left me with nothing left but Combined Insurance, the insurance I had carried for years just in case something like this happened. I hurt my knee in Jan. 2016 and had sugary on it end of Feb. 2016 a few days later had a blood clot that went to my lungs and about killed me. So needless so say hurt / sick and couldn't go back to work or unemployment.
They said my monthly benefits were $200.00 a month! After a 30 day waiting period that the don't pay anything! What a joke!
Save your money! They try to get out of paying on any of the bills and or shorting you just as much as they can after you have to send in form after form after form. Shorted me on more than one policy I had with them. It don't matter how much paper work you send in or how many trips you pay for going back to Dr. To get forms filled out, they are still going to weasel their way out of paying .
$200.00 a month! WOW and a good part of it would go to their next mo. Payment.

I have just purchased an accident and sickness insurance today from Combined Insurance and was actually doubtful about it. I would like to cancel it as early as possible because of all the complaints about the company. I would like to ask, how will I cancel the policy? Should I just call the company to cancel it? Thanks!

Combined Insurance no pay out

Have has Combined Insurance for years. Never had an issue until my Husband was killed in a car accident. I have been now fighting with them for 6 months. They said he was DUI on his Rx by FAA doc. He didn't fly, he did not have his pilot lic, The research I have done shows not enough Rx in his system. I faxed info to them and after 8 weeks, and after not hearing anything from them I called back told them I was contacting a lawyer. The next day I called back was told they sent me a letter, 4 days later No letter. I called them many times, they said they'd call me back. Fat chance, they never did. I proved them wrong so now I'm waiting to see what the next excuse is. Like I haven't been through enough.

Read about the scams they have been pulling...so called the Company and cancelled my policy. Received a notice that I now owe them over $8OO dollars. One of their statements when they have you purchase this policy is that you can cancel at anytime. No obligations! Yeah right...now what?

Combined Insurance Non-payment of benefits

Combined insurance was ready and willing to take our premiums for many, many years. The salesman encouraged my spouse to change coverage on a cancer policy that would double the benefit amount. He foolishly went along with this. He later developed a very serious cancer, we submitted claims for the benefit and these unethical robots denied the claims saying it was "pre-existing".
They simply perused his records to look for any symptom of any kind that might give them an out, even in the presence of a negative biopsy during the time frame questioned. Anything to make someone give up the fight because they are just too tired and frustrated for a fight at their most vulnerable time. I hope the individuals who involve themselves in this kind of deception will be blessed with exactly what they gave! A taste of their own medicine.

Totally agree. made a claim at the beginning of this year. Sent in all paper work and proof. Yet here I am 6 month later and no payout. So, thier claim of a refund for being sick is a total fraud. Not to mention a waste of money and energy. I was so disappointed. I thought they were truly going to step in and help with my bills with the payout. Now I seriously feel let down and robbed of premium for a product that was built on lies.

Combined Insurance Cancellation policy

I sold a group policy in good faith to a company. It was a list bill payroll deduction. The customer has been trying to cancel it for 2 of the employees since October. She called them, I did, and my associate because they were still getting billed. Well, a Combined rep was supposed to call the customer back to tell her status and never did. As a Territory Manager representing Combined, I have never been so embarrassed that Combined cannot do such a simple task! One rep would tell us to cancel it a certain way and someone else would tell us another! This is just one instance. There are also serious management issues: sexual harassment, racism, chauvinism, and abuse. We were told we do not have any holidays at all as sales reps and to keep working during the weekend until we reached our estimated objectives. If we did not meet our goals we had to go to corporate office and get harassed by senior management. Also, it took them 3 months to reimburse me for my miles. I had to contact an attorney because they were not even responding to my request. I filed complaints with HR and they retaliated by demoting me. I am now seeking therapy to deal with this BS. Do NOT buy any products from here or even consider working at this awful place.

Combined Insurance Unethical and unprofessional

I left a good paying career making over $100K to come to this joke of a place. Never in my life did I experience the lack of professionalism as I did working at Combined Insurance. The company is corrupt so they will only promote the corrupt. We were expected to attend 2-3 conference calls a day from 7:30 am to 9 pm and sometimes Saturday mornings. We were advised the sales staff had NO paid Holidays in CA even though the support staff and management in the Ontario office were off. Each and every day we were required to give an 'objective' on what we think we will write that day and if we did not we were humiliated on the conference calls and accused of not working. Also, if you're a female you will be told to 'use what you got' to get more sales (see lawsuits online) and those who slept with senior management got promoted. Finally, you did not own your accounts you worked so hard to get. That means your customer will end up in another agent's lead to call and sell to. Don't listen to the recruiters! They will pitch a bunch of lies to lure you in. This place needs to be shut down!

Combined Insurance Income protector policy

Filed a claim for my income protector policy due to complications in my
Pregnancy and because of a previous MRI, my policy is now null and void and I have no benefit to count on. My complications have NOTHING to do with any MRI (that was done in August 2012). They are just looking for any way to NOT pay policy holders but have no problem deducting their monthly premium from our bank accounts. The agents have NO idea what they are selling and are just trying to make a quick sale. My salesperson is a child. When confronted on his horrible business practices he told me I was "mean" to him. The entire company is absolutely ridiculous.

Combined Insurance Good Company - Questionable Senior Management

I worked for Combined for close to 5 years in Australia in the early to mid 1990. I was single at the time and I found Combined (or Combined found me) at a time in my life when things were pretty low. My career started slowly, I went a year of spending what I was earning just going to work. It seemed to just click and things started going my way. I went from Sales rep to Territory Rep then to District Rep in the next 12 months. I started to make reasonable money, I thought it was great money. I was quite a party animal and found the lifestyle of booze and late nights exceptional fun. I really lead the high life of driving flash cars and staying in ritzy hotels. I had all the awards and trappings of a Combined high achiever. Our team was achieving fantastic results in the District and we had a pretty good team, I was very fortunate to have understood the philosophy of field training and spent most of my time doing that. This was due to a very motivated Regional Manager. I believe he is still with the company and has climbed the ladder of success. This same manager who made me, also sent me to the wall. This started on a Masters trip. Masters awards were a all expense paid trip offshore to a special awards ceremony. Myself and another DR spent most of our time drunk. One night my room mate found me in the toilet with my pants around my ankles and put me to bed. That same night I was having drinks in my room with my Regional manager. I was not THAT drunk and was certainly not that drunk that I passed out on the toilet. Anyway, I quizzed the Regional the next day about what time we finished up and he just laughed and said we had a great time. Now is the time I say I am a straight bloke and so I thought, was the Regional. I could not prove anything as I was known as bit of a playboy and a drunk. (Its still a bit hazy, but little bits have come back to me and I reckon he was the reason my pants were down). I lost a bit of direction after that and started doing silly things like writing bogus policies to reach targets. Things were starting to spiral out of control. I did not want to be near this pervert, so I put in for a transfer. That was my undoing. I moved to an area under a different Regional (a previous leader of mine, great guy). At the start it was good, but because the company and my ex-Regional did not want me to transfer areas, they stopped all my automatic renewal income (Cemtex) I had built up over 4 and a half years. I was like a sinking ship, I did not have the motivation or the income to start from scratch again. I tried and tried but ended up going bankrupt. I was bitter and twisted for a while, but there is a silver lining. I met my beautiful wife via Combined (I met her towards the end of all this), we have been married for 13 years and have 3 wonderful kids. So it really is a bittersweet relationship with Combined for me. I have got a fair bit to be thankful for. I have a very good work ethic and am a very positive person, i have utilized the work practices from Combined and am now quite successful again. So for all of you, who have battled through this post, I believe in Combined and think it is a great career for the young and single and the work ethics and mindset will set you up for your future, however, crappy management and crappy people stuff it up. As for despicable turd Regional Managers, I really do not know whether I could restrain myself from punching him in the face if we ever came face to face. Hopefully I never have to.

That has nothing to do with the company - that has to do with people's personal lack of integrity and good common sense. If you get drunk enough times, something crazy is going to happen to you.

Combined Insurance Scam artists

Was harassed by my manager and threatened by him in Mechanicsburg the local home office for questioning his sales methods. This company is the 10% that makes the other 90% of the insurance industry look bad. Funny how I passed him the other day and the top manager in the company is still driving a 10 year old car. Oh, I stood up to him and he of course backed down like a [censored]. They sell useless policies to less than intelligent people who are very gullible. Once I quit and told them to go f**k themselves they actually sent me a letter and called wanting me back! Stupid ###s in Chicago. Out of that company and thanking god for it. Do your self a favor if you need a job that bad...try McDonalds.

Combined Insurance 8 months after accident not a dime but plenty of excuses

My father owns his own business and n oct had a brain anurisium. His business has been shut down he's still paying his bill they send, he has been a customer of theirs for years. He has not seen a dime and twice now they have said that he didn't mail them something or several other excuses. It has been 8 months and haven't seen a dime! He is getting the run around big time.

I called their customer service line and they were trying to say they didn't get some medical records I'd already dealt with again!. I then asked to talk to her supervisor and has hung up on!. I then called back and someone answered the line and said hold on a moment and then I was on hold for 20+ minutes:. So I hung up and called back and immediately asked for talk to agent?. They tried to put that off as well, . Finally I got to talk to her and she interuptef me several times and was very rude|. I had to basically beg for her direct phone number, . Do not use them!
