I am a handicapped 74 year old woman. I put on my Clark's sandals this morning to drive to get some food. I noticed my sandals did not feel right but thought it might be my feet. When I got back in my car I noticed a large chunk of black "dirt" by the brake which turned out to be from my shoes. When I drove home I looked at my soles and found they were torn up and full of holes and large crevasses. I could have fallen very easily and shudder to think of injuries at my age!
I don't believe I had worn my shoes more than 6 or 10 times!

I have bought Clark's clogs for many years. They support my legs well and don' hurt my feet. I own 9 pairs and never have had this happen. I went to my Dr appointment today, drove home and was standing by my microwave waiting for my dinner. I couldn't figure out why my left heel was tipped off to the side. I am 69 and have arthritis in that ankle...its very painful to have my foot tilt to the outside like that. I slipped it off and was shocked to see the black heel has crumbled from within forming a hollow. OMG...imagine what could have happened if that crumbling failure had happen while I was walking at my doctor's office or up my brick sidewalk and then steps at home. Fortunately I was standing still when the "crumble" completed. I couldn't imagine what I could have walked through to have that occur...then I took off the other shoe to put on another pair...It was also in the process of crumbling into a hollow and the heel had formed a crack too. Another 5 min and that one would have dropped me too.
I am SO disappointed and annoyed that I will now have to try to find some new clogs that I can trust. ...I can't even think about the cost of replacing them on a senior's fixed budget! This is just not right.
I just tried your phone number and after 15 min on hold, you hung up! I am quite disgusted with your customer service.
fix, replace or pay me for the defective shoes.
This is elder abuse! You stole my money for shoes that were not made well.
I am now at 4 pairs of Clark shoes with heels falling apart. I have a lot of old shoes that look new and none have done this. So strange and a pain when it happens no where close to home! Bummer because they are my favorite for comfort. Going in to a store with only socks to get a pair for 5he rest of the day may have been my last Clark purchase.
I have a pair of Clark boots that the sole has come off. Please help me!
I had the same thing happen to my clarks shoes. I've only worn maybe a dozen times and as I was walking through a store the right heel felt different. When I looked down is lost the heel.
I thought it was just me. I have a herniated disc and switch to only buying Clark shoes about 10 years ago. No problem with the older shoes but the shoes I’ve purchased in the last couple of years have continued to disintegrate with the heel material exploding at the worst times. Last night I had I had a work function and couldn’t figure out why my gait seem to be off and why there was black material on the floor under my desk. when I picked up the shoes, I saw that on one side, the heel and the bottom were gone, and the right shoe was not far behind. Looks like I’ll have to find a more comfortable shoe made by a different manufacture. Clark shoes are not cheap and this is ridiculous!
I found my Clark's to have chunks missing from the soles. They look like a dog had been chewing on them, but they had been kept safe in the box in my closet.
Wow, I just did a search to see if others have had their Clark's shoes fall apart. I put on a pair of Clarks the other day to go to a Doctor appointment and after slipping into them I took a couple of steps and the entire top of the shoe/sandal came off, I mean literally it separated from the sole! I did buy these several years ago but have only worn them a few times over the years. There is no excuse for shoes to fall apart like this I don't care how long they were stored in the closet! Not only that but I had another pair that I have not worn much so I went and got them out of the box and put then on and they also started to disintegrate. I will be calling the company to see if there will be any resolution of this issue.
I had the same thing happened on a pair of Ariat slides. my first pair lasted forever. This pair start falling apart after just a few times of wearing them. It says, though they left out the structural part of the heel and just had the foam filling and then the coating. They don’t make them anymore, so I’m not gonna get my money back, but definitely a quality issue.
