Simply Baby Furniture Do not purchase from this company!

I purchased furniture from this company over a month ago and have been given the run around since then. They charged my credit card right away but the furniture has not been delivered. I have called weekly to check on the delivery and have been given different answers to where my furniture is. The shipping agent stated that they haven't been given authorization to pick up the furniture for some unknown reason. I have been promised resolution but have not received anything. Do not purchase from this company.

I had to mix and match my three piece nursery set because the items I wanted were out of stock. So I found the ones that were in stock and after only receiving 2 of the 3 boxes, I checked the tracking and it said only a label had been created and not even shipped, I have called 3 times and emailed numberous times! I finally received a basic email response stating it is on back order for 5 months! I asked for a manger to call me and explain why false information would be on their website and I have received nothing! The least this company can do is ACTUALLY PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Even more so - DO NOT take the money from their bank account when the item isn't even in stock! I would not recommend this company! Tricia

Sadly I wish I had read these reviews before we ordered an Arms Reach Co-Sleeper...When you are so thrilled to be having a first grandchild, you want to provide the best in products for them. This co-sleeper although very popular, we understood the potential of a back order...What we didnt expect, is how they took OUR MONEY, and have given us the run around ever since. We ordered in August, it was backordered...no call, no email, nothing letting us know where the co-sleeper was, until I reached out...I was told it was due to ship the same week I inquired...by the way..this is now October...the co-sleeper still have not arrived, it's November, the baby has been here for 3 weeks, which caused an added unnecessary financial burden to purchase other bedding. We will not purchase from Simply Baby, nor refer them...

I ordered a changing table on September 1st. It said on the website it was IN STOCK and would ship between 1-2 business days. After 5 days of my order saying "pending shipment", I sent them an email inquiry regarding my order, and got an automated response saying they would respond within 24-28 hours. Heard nothing.

After 8 days and the status of my order continuing to say "pending shipment", I called. Not only could I not get a person on the phone, they do not let you wait for a customer service representative; they ask you to leave a voicemail. When they finally called back and I tried to answer, I was hung up on, and left a voicemail instead, saying my changing table was on backorder and they wouldn't have any more in stock until September 14th. Even then, it won't ship for another 1-2 business days, and I wouldn't receive it for 3-5 business days after shipment!

I decided to cancel my order, called back, and had to leave yet another voicemail to cancel. Now I'm currently waiting for them to contact the company the changing table is coming from to get a cancellation confirmation. Meanwhile, I went ahead and ordered a different table from a different website.

Simply Baby Furniture's website was clearly inaccurate. The customer service was awful. I will not be making any purchases through them again.

The single worst company I have ever had to deal with. I was told by Patty and Ally that a manager named Hope would call me back. Looked on their site under customer service and there is no one named Hope Martin that works there. I have broken furniture and NO HELP. I have called back and emailed and NOTHNG. This company is a scam.

I purchased from this company and I was very careful. Since I never purchased anything this big on the Internet I read ALL policies. I had to wait for quite awhile but because I read everything I understood. I do not agree with this review. The people I talked to were all informed and I did not feel I was getting the run around. It took two months. I ordered something that was not in stock. They sent it when it got in stock. I never expected an out of stock thing to ship. People are unrealistic and should read.

Simply Baby Furniture Fraudsters and cheaters

I placed an order for the Child Craft 4 Piece Nursery Set - Ashley Convertible Crib, Dressing Station, Hutch & Full Bed Rails - Matte White on 9/8/2008 with SimplyBabyFurniture.com.

At the time, it said on their website that I should expect shipment in 4-6 weeks. I followed up on the order in the beginning of October and was informed to expect shipment by 10/24/2008. This did not happen and I continued to follow-up on my order throughout November.

The week of 11/10/2008, I was informed that the shipment would be shipped out the beginning of the following week. This also did not happen and when I called to follow-up, I was told that the manufacturer was still waiting on one piece before shipping the entire order out.

Thirteen weeks later, my order has still not entirely shipped. I am waiting for the hutch that goes with the dressing station. My last email communication with SimplyBabyFurniture.com informed me that it is to be shipped out this week and I sincerely hope this happens.

While the customer service response to my queries has been commendable, I'm hugely disappointed in the way that the company has managed this order. I currently live overseas and had decided to order my baby furniture from the US because of the quality and selection. I had planned plenty of time for delivery of the furniture to Houston and then have the furniture and everything else I ordered for my first baby to be forwarded to Switzerland.

I was only informed that the furniture was backordered through my personal follow-up. I was never given any alternatives should it take the furniture up to 13 weeks to be delivered. I was never informed of a true date as to when to expect all of the furniture until about two weeks ago – and until I get a confirmation of shipment, this is still to be determined.

This is a very important time in our lives and it makes me very sad that my baby will arrive home at the end of this month with only the bare necessities – some of which I have had to borrow because of the late arrival of the furniture order from the online store. I have been given time off work during this last month of my pregnancy and instead of properly preparing the nursery for my baby, I'm losing sleep over when and if my furniture will ever be delivered. Even if it wasn't to be delivered overseas, this extended time lapse between order and delivery is simply unacceptable.

I considered having the other things I ordered shipped here to Switzerland first, but that would cost me an extra $600, an expense that we cannot spare at this time.

From this experience, I know for certain that I will never order anything made by Child Craft Industries ever again. As mentioned, while the customer service response I have received has been impressive, I will likely not order from Simply Baby Furniture again either. I will also definitely through word of mouth warn my friends and other expectant mothers of my experience with both Child Craft Industries and SimplyBabyFurniture.com.
