Schewel Furniture Company Credit

have been a loyal customer for three and half years. Purchased new furniture and appliances as well as outdoor items from there for a new home when starting over from being homeless. Established higher credit limit with successful payment history over the past years. Great people. Only complaint is due to recent economic and financial restraints have been unable to make a full monthly payment. They do not accept half payments. Expected account to be current within a month while I was trying to make the full payment. So instead of making half payment had to miss payments. After over three years of excellent credit with them and willing to pay something I am disappointed they are unwilling to work with those struggling at this time due to rising costs of electricity and groceries while trying to do the right thing and make an effort to pay. I don’t understand their unwillingness to work with customers. They just want to come pick up items and or go to court.

Schewel Furniture Company Lawn mower

ON 3/14/2020 we purchased a Try-Bilt riding mower (along with an extended warranty) from Schewels Roanoke store. Since then we have had the mower serviced 5 times for various problems. In October of 2021they picked up the mower because it was draining batteries (2 brand new batteries). The mower was returned a week later and we were told that the problem was fixed. On Dec. 29th while doing yard work, the mower stopped. Called Schewels and was told that because of the upcoming holiday, they would not be able pick up the mower until the following week.

I heard from noone. I called Schewels on 1/12/22 and was told that someone would call me back. By 2/1/22, we had not heard from Schewels. I called and left a message for someone in service to call me. On 2/16/22 i called again, and was told that someone in service would call. As of 3/2/22, we had not heard from the store so we called the corporate and left a message. Still waiting on a return call.

Desired outcome: We would like a full refund of all money paid on the mower and a refund for the extended warranty.

Schewel Furniture Company Freezer

I bought a free standing freezer because I have a large family to store my frozen good also bought a warranty for it. It has stopped working at least 10 time I have contacted schewels and they said triad electronics is who works on them for the warranty they have came 4 times says he doesn't know why it keeps freezing and completely stops working and I have had thousands of dollars of food that had ruined well it's not been working and triad knows said they ordered parts I have still not got it fixed it's sad to spend money on a freezer and lose all of our food I will never purchase from here again! Sad that y'all products are worthless and so costly and have caused so much money lose for us!

Desired outcome: A new freezer and replace all of my food!!!!

Schewel Furniture Company Mattress

I brought a boxspring and mattress from shewells furniture waynesboro that had a 10 year warranty. I had this mattress for about 3 or 4 years. It's gotten to a point that the mattress feels as if i'm sleeping in a hole. Called store and they sent someone out with a foam 3 inch block with a string and ran the string from corner to corner said nothing was wrong with it. Well I can tell you this i'm sleeping on the floor now

Schewel Furniture Company Love seat

We bought a living room suit a year ago and after a month the love seat broke and they came and picked it back up and had it "fixed". Well fast forward a few months and it's worse now than it was before it was "fixed"! They said they couldn't swap it out with another set because this one is discontinued and it was "fixed" the best they could! I won't be buying another living room suit from them ever! We paid cash up front for this, guess that was a mistake too because maybe if it wasn't paid for yet it would have been taken care of!

Schewel Furniture Company False Advertising for Credit

This the biggest scam ever false advertising on this a waste of time telling people second chance not checking your credit they pull your credit report and then tell you based on your credit you have to pay half down I WILL BE TURNING THEM INTO BBB! I can't prove it right now but will have them investigated for discrimination!

I went into the Beckley branch yesterday to purchase a stove I have always Purchase things from this location with no problems my whole house is furnished with Shewles appliances bedding etc. yesterday while trying to purchase a oven they seem to try to give me several problems never had a problem before don’t understand what the problem was the finance guy was very rude and unprofessional I still ended up purchasing my oven after having to had to gotten very upset with them but this will be the last purchase I will make from the store they lost a very good loyal customer always pay my furniture off on time never had any problems out of me my name is Traci Nabors this will be my last purchase from this store the floor staff was very helpful and the delivery men were extremely kind also the those that were working behind the desk was extremely unprofessional and very judge mental
