The installer had to get up in the attic to turn on the pilot light and check the gas line after installing a new gas meter outside. He was huge and fat - about 6'"5 and at least 350 pounds.
He did not go up the ladder. He stated the ladder is unsafe and unstable. Of course, these type of ladders are in just about every house in Houston.
How can CenterPoint Energy hire such huge and overweight people for this job? And then complaining the ladder is not stable for him. He said we need to call a qualified technician ($175 service fee) to light the pilot light up.
How ridiculous!
Desired outcome: Centerpoint is responsible for getting the pilot light on again after they turned off the entire gas line.
