Castlewood Plumbing

So, I had Castlewood Plumbing Co replace my sink strainer and they charged me a whopping $339. The part only cost $50 and it took them just 10 minutes to fix it. When I called to complain, they told me they charge based on "book" time. That means they charged me over $250 for labor alone! Not cool.

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Castlewood Plumbing Co. I had a leak in my neighbor's bathroom fan vent and reported it to my property manager. The plumber they sent, Nell, didn't communicate with me at all about what he was doing and just went ahead and replaced the shut-off valve and wax ring without showing me any defective parts or telling me the cost. The invoice just said "it appears to be leaking," which doesn't really tell me anything. I think he thought the HOA was gonna cover it, but I ended up having to pay for it myself. Not cool, man.

so I had Castlewood Plumbing come out to my crib in west St. Louis County and they charged me $450 for a job that took like no time at all. They used to be called Thome Plumbing, but I guess they changed their name or whatever. Anyways, last year they did the same job for me and only charged $167. Like, what the heck, man? Just wanted to let y'all know so you don't get ripped off like I did.
