I bought a mobile phone online for my brothers birthday. My bank apparently declined the order as a quality check. I then reordered the phone again. Unfortunately, the unknown to me, despite telling me it had been cancelled, they had a actually put it through.
The following day I received 2 phones from DPD, both at a cost of £199 each. That's a lot of money to me.
I rang Carphone Warehouse returns and explained the situation but because the phone wasn't in my name they wouldn't talk to me. The phone is in my brothers name because it's for his birthday but he has learning difficulties and doesn't understand a lot of things. It will take me approx 1 month to get him used to his new phone and understand how it works. Even then I'll still get asked to show him something a million times more. I don't mind, he's my brother and he's mentally disabled.
I explained that whole situation to the girl on the phone but she wasn't a bit interested and said I'm not talking to you anymore, stop wasting my time...seriously?
At this point in time I am £199 out of pocket with no interest from Carphone Warehouse.
