CarId price matching promise is just a marketing gimmik

Bottom Line -- I don't support any company that claims to price match, and then changes the policy on the fly if they feel the price is too low. If you make the claim, stand by your claim, even if it means it is below cost!
Do they have price match? Yes, but only if they want to. If you find a price too low, they give up and say they cannot go any lower. Depends on which rep you talk to on what price they will match. Amazon has cheaper prices in their marketplace stores, which are backed by Amazon guarantees. There are so many inconsistencies with CARID and its policies. One rep will tell you they will match Amazon, while the next rep will say it is a membership based website so they don't price match. You don't have to be a PRIME member to get Amazon prices, so that excuse was just their way of saying we cant match the price.

CarId do not order from carid - terrible customer service

I am a car stereo newbie, so asked the 'pros' at CARID to spec a system and install hardware, which I paid for. Turns out, after much runaround, that they a) spec'ed the wrong part for the adapter ($35 - no refund because I had taken it out of the packaging) and b) did not even bother spec'ing the necessary module to allow me to retain my system warning chimes.

I trusted them, and only after considerable hassling did I get them to send me the right adapter harness ($7, which they ate). I talked with them multiple times, each time asking that a manager call me back. They promised - three times - to do this but it never happened. When talking to customer support, they advised me that on the weekends, there is no one available to deal with problematic calls. I was actually told by one rep that the managers were 'at a meeting, in another building, and they were not allowed to interrupt.' Total lie.

After I finally called during their business hours and FINALLY talking to a supervisor (they refused to let me speak with a manager), they didn't review the call notes because the most recent call had not been added to the call diaries. I repeated my story for the 4th or 5th time, but they said I was outta luck, I had to pay for the chimes adapter ($85), at a slightly discounted rate (I could still find it cheaper at Walmart - retail).

How they SHOULD have dealt this: "We are so sorry for this misunderstanding. Considering that you have already paid for an erroneous part, we will send you the chimes adapter free/at 50% cost."

I have been in first, second, supervisory and mgmt levels in customer support and their model sucks. There should ALWAYS be someone who has rights to 'make it right' for a customer, even if that means eating some money. Their 'policy' is a set of choices that will affect their competitiveness.

In this world, two things influence competitiveness and survival - price and service. Note the posts about CARID not price matching, etc. as well as other complaints about service. CARID is failing at both. Perhaps whatever company fills the void when they fold will do a better job.

CarId carid does not price match — a ma on is cheaper

Do they have price match? yes, but only if they want to. if you find a price too low, they give up and say they cannot go any lower. depends on which rep you talk to on what price they will match. a-ma-on has cheaper prices in their marketplace stores, which are backed by a-ma-on guarantees. there are so many inconsistancies with carid and its policies. one rep will tell you they will match a-ma-on, while the next rep will say it is a membership based website so they dont price match. you dont have to be a prime member to get a-ma-on prices, so that excuse was just their way of saying we cant match the price.

I guess I should not be surprised that even after emailing greg.du the information he requested, there has been no response to make things right. If CARiD was truly interested in customer service, they would own up to their mistake. It should not take over 4 days to figure out how to fix a price match problem.

CarId item not received

I placed my order on March 26, 2017 -- Order #[protected]. I had heard and read good reviews from this business so I felt safe to go ahead and purchase some car parts. To my surprise the experience I have received from this business has been a nightmare. I purchased some headers and a catted mid-x-pipe, I received the headers approximately 5 days after I placed my order. Since my second item had not yet been shipped I went ahead and called the company the first week of April to get an update I spoke with a lady named Laura - she told me that I will receive the part in 7-10 business days. The 10 days passed and yet the item was still not shipped. I called again, this different lady 'called' the parts warehouse and said that the item would be shipped in 48hrs and I can get a tracking number after. 96hrs later and no item, no email, and no update. I called again Laura said that I needed to wait an additional 48hrs for a tracking number and I gave CarId the benefit of the doubt. I waited and nothing. I can honestly say I've contact car id more than 6 times in a period of 4 weeks. Yesterday (4/25/17) I called for an update once again - I spoke with Laura again and she was telling me I had to wait another 48hrs so I asked for a supervisor, this time I spoke with Maria - I have never experience so must disrespect from a supervisor like I did yesterday. She didn't even try to solve my problem rather she hung up on me. It's been exactly one month since I placed an order and every time I contact car id to get an update they keep going around the problem. This has definitely been the worse customer service experience ever - I would not recommend this business to anyone - this business does not care about their customers like they say they do. Today is April 26, 17 and my item has not been shipped and not an honest updated has been given to me. Great Job Car Id for this awful experience.

CarId order cancelled

I received an email on the day my order was due to ship stating the order had been cancelled due to a pricing issue. It has been 9 days since I placed the order and the part is still listed as available on the web site and at the same price I paid! Told it could take 2 days to see my card refunded!No response to emails after cancelling my order either. Totally unprofessional, Do Not Waste Your Time!

CarId wheels and rims

Ordered 17 inch warrior rims and Pirelli Scorpions for granddaughter's graduation gift 2/27/17. Website reflected 4 Pirelli Scorpions were in stock. Credit card funds taken spontaneously and return email reported to expect shipment 3/8 and also to expect email notification. 3/8 I called to see if they were going out. Rep says no and they only had 2 tires in stock. Ok.. he would have someone call and offer comparables to Scorpions. Received NO response so I called back to learn what next then was told "oh, my manager saw the issue and is having the factory send 2 more". Wait some more.. Called back only to now be told they were looking for 1 more tire and had to get from Georgia. Each time their company was called I sat on hold listening to the stupid recording 30 to 45 minutes. Grrrrr! I was given 4 different ship dates and 4 different stories on why they could NOT ship. Each time I threatened to cancel...each time I received a new promise. The final straw came on 3/17 when I received an "I'm sorry but we can't ship out these tires because they were manufactured in 2008, our supplier should have caught that." Due to the numerous delays, the extremely irritating hours on hold listening to that stupid recording and being fed so many reasons why they could not send out the tires I finally CANCELLED the order and demanded my funds be returned. Funds were deposited back 5 days later. ALL IN ALL I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR TIRES AND RIMS. THE ENTIRE SITUATION COULD HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED HAD THEIR ON-LINE DATABASE BEEN UPDATED TO REFLECT THE TIRES WERE NOT IN STOCK IN THE FIRST PLACE!

CarId lloyd rubbertite floor mats

I've been back and forth via email for two weeks after receiving my floor mats that don't seem to fit quite right. CarID couldn't answer any questions for me about the fit and had to contact the manufacturer, come back and ask for my vin, make me wait another week after telling me I would have a response in 24-48 hours, etc.
Now, they are finally admitting that they have sent the incorrect mats but I am the one who has to take the punishment for their mistake because of some silly policy that only gives me two options to have the mats replaced with the correct ones: 1. I have to destroy the current mats by cutting them up and sending pictures and trust that they will actually get me replacements in a timely manner, or 2. I have to front the money for the replacements with a hold on my credit card and send them the evidence that the old ones have been destroyed after the new ones arrive to have the hold removed. I'm not trusting either of these options after everything I've read about the shady customer service here. I don't know what they think I could possibly do with these poorly fitting mats but I can't think of any possibility that justifies them treating me like this. They should just be jumping all over correcting their mistake, not making life more difficult for me. I own a Transportation company and my vehicle would get disgusting if I destroyed the mats and went without waiting for new ones to come and my small business can't wait for some credit card hold to go away with how slowly these guys operate. They suck for not working with me to make this right. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Other companies carry the same manufacturers products.

CarId unethical behaviour

1/8/17 I ordered a Thetford 31112 repair kit for 22.97 no shipping charges until you enter location. when I checked my paypal account it totaled $ 92.97, this is a kit with about 4 rubber seals and the shipping is $70.00, I've had a motorcycle shipped cross country for that amount . I wrote them a email, filed a resolution on paypal finally a lady called early yesterday 1/9/17 and she told me it would be taken care of in ten minutes, well that didn't happen so I just got off the phone with Ves Marcado and he says he will leave someone a message he also told me there was no notes regarding the call from yesterday is that not a surprise ...I'm waiting for my refund.

CarId headlights

Below is a transcript asking for fitment for my car. I also watched the install video for these headlights and it lead me to believe that these were completely plug and play and they are far from it. Now I am fighting for a refund that i was promised earlier but instead of a return label i am getting into a pissing match about how I was wrong. I even called the manufacturer and they said there is no replacement that would fit my car without throwing errors.
Almost $700 invested and i have nothing that works just emails back and forth as to how I was at fault.

CarId wheels and rims - multiple errors and delays

ADVICE - Give your Business to another Company - Not CARiD.

I ordered (4) NS aftermarket rims for my Mazda that came with a free installation kit. At the same time I ordered wheel locks for my OEM rims I was moving to another car. After taking my order and hitting my credit card for the full order price, I was sent an email saying my rims were not in stock and would incur a small delay. I asked 3 times how long the delay would be and was assured in writing that CARiD confirmed with the manufacturer that my rims would be delivered in 4 weeks. Well, that didn't happen. After numerous phone calls to CARiD at about 6 weeks, I was given another delivery date which wasn't accurate either. At 8 weeks I had to make another 3 calls to get my rims delivered. Then guess what - no wheel locks. I called customer service and all they wanted to do was argue with me. I explained they didn't send the locks - that I paid for. They wanted to argue they wouldn't fit the NS aftermarket wheels I ordered - which I replied "I know that". I ordered the wheel locks for my OEM rims which they will work with. I got so frustrated with their customer so-called service dept. that I canceled the order for my wheel locks. I was suppose to get a refund in 24 hours (in writing) which didn't happen. No surprise there.

CARiD likes to blame the manufacturers for all their screw-ups, which is too easy to shed blame. Telling a customer you have a commitment to ship in 4 weeks that is actually 8 weeks is plainly incompetent. Don't tell me you're going to follow-up with this manufacturer and then don't. CARiD sure didn't delay charging my credit card 8 weeks earlier... Then when they didn't fulfill the order the customer paid for - they want to argue instead of saying "oops" and trying to make things right.

I won't be doing business with CARiD anymore. Life's too short to deal with a company that too hard to deal with and mistrustful. Calling them on the phone is long and painful, then you can't count on what you're told. I'm not interested in getting an apology for their arbitrary online service team - it's too late to make things right.

CarId coverking 1992 mazda mx3 cloth seat covers

CarId is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are crooks who sell used, broken, parts as new, and parts that don't fit. They then refuse to issue an RMA within 24-48 hours as their Return policy states. They will ask you for photos of "proof" over and over again over a span of weeks. They will hang up on yet, claim they never got your email, claim they didn't receive email attachments, claim they can't click on a link in an email, etc. Either they are extremely stupid, or they are purposefully following a script of deliberate delays; my guess is it is both. They pass off your case to a new employee every day.

I ordered a set of car seat covers for my Mazda MX-3 from CarId.com

On 9/17/2016 we tried to install them on my car seats, where we discovered that some of the car seat cover buckles were broken and that they did not fit my seat, even though the CarId website said it would fit my car. Since the buckles were broken, it appears that I received a used / previously returned item.

On 9/19/2016 I contacted CarId about a refund. As of today, 9/28/2016, they refuse to issue me a RMA# and return instructions so I can receive a refund of $114.72. I have called them 3 times, online chatted with them 2 times, and sent 15 emails. Still no RMA and no return instructions, and no refund. They insisted on receiving photos of the covers and the broken buckles, which I have now sent 4 times and my car's VIN. In addition, they want photos of the interior of my car, which I have sent them 3 times.

So far I have dealt with John Pa, Monica Turke, Megan Gol, Victor Leon, Hannah Kort, Eli, and Monica, none of whom have done anything but play dumb.

I filed a complaint about CarId.com with my credit card company, filed a fraud case with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, at https://www20.state.nj.us/LPSCA_COMPL/, and am looking into various legal options.

CarId sent my bumper to the junkyard!

I have filed a dispute with CariD for $166.23 charged on 8/15/16. i have emailed CariD and have also left 2 voicemail with the supervisor for CariD and haven't gotten any responses. On the original receipt the confirmation email said they would attempt to deliver 3 times and after that my bumper would be returned. they said nothing about needing to set up a delivery time nor did they ask for a phone number with me i expected it to be delivered to the shipping address i provided. I received the email stating they tried to call me on a very old number im assuming they got off of my paypal account and that email went to my spam folder and i didnt see it. Once i looked in my spam and saw they tried to contact me i sent an email back and i called the freight company and they told me that the seller told them since they didnt have a phone number they should take it to the junk yard..they never tried to deliver the bumper to my shipping address which was just 15 minutes away from the freight companies main warehouse. The freight company said since technically CARiD is their customer not me that they have to do what CariD told them to do which was to take it to the junk yard. I called CariD and was told to leave a voicemail for the supervisor which i have done twice with no response. I want my money refunded as I never received my bumper and CariD wasted their own time and money by telling the freight company to send the bumper to a junk yard.

CarId very poor customer service.

I have ordered a part from CARiD and decided to cancel my order because I found the same thing somewhere else for a better price. I called customer service and they asked me to call later.
When I called again I was told to leave a voice mail which I did. No one contacted me back so I had to call myself again and when I did they said that my order was already shipped.
Very poor customer service.

Zero stars!

The absolute worse online seller i have ever dealt with ever! Carid sent the wrong part, it happens. I was happy to send back their mistake i'm not happy about their failure to issue me a $180 refund for their mistake. Run from this site with your pockets zipped. Carid is the poster child for how to screw over your customers. Buying from carid will be the worst decision you will make. You have been warned!

Multiple phone calls, emails "and" their part returned and still no refund! Spend your time and money getting the parts you need and the repairs made not fighting to get your money back. You'll be money ahead and your vehicle will be fixed! Don"t waste your time or money on carid!

CarId tire and wheel package. interior trims

Purchased tire & wheel package plus lift kit 3/28/2016 estimated ship date was the 3/39. I called on March 30th to find out the status of my order, being that it was not shipped yet. I asked to see if possible if I can switch my tires for M/T tires. I was told the tires were in stock and I would have to pay an additional $100 to change the order for these tires. About a week later I called to see the status of my order and was told then the tires would be shipped out on April 13th. I was really upset at the fact that the order had to be delayed again but I had no choice but to wait since they would not cancel my order and refund me my money. On April 13th, I contacted them again to see what the status of my order was. I was told there was going to be another delay because they did not have the tires. I made a complaint and contacted a supervisor, which told me they were going to get me tires shipped from another branch in Texas and have it shipped immediately. I did not want to wait but since they did not want to refund me I had no choice. I contacted them on April 18th and was told by a supervisor it would be shipped today April 18th. I was told I would receive an email with the tracking info by the end of the day. On April 19th, I contacted them again regarding the tracking info since I did not receive the email with tracking info. I was told by a representative that unfortunately there has been another delay with the tires and that it should be shipped out by the end of the week. I demanded for a refund and to speak with a supervisor. I was told there were no refunds and there was no supervisor available. I do not understand where in what job there is not a supervisor available. I am outraged at the back and forth that I have had to deal with and be told that I cannot get a refund.

During the time I ordered my tire and wheel package, I also ordered some interior trims for my vehicle. When I was installing the trims we noticed there was a part that did not fit for my vehicle. I contact carid, sent them pictures of the trims that did not fit and a picture of my car where the trims belong. The pictures show that the trims do not fit; I was told by a repetitive that they would contact the manufacture and I would hear back from them within 24 to 48 hours. A week went by and still I have not been refunded or given a return shipping label. I contacted them again regarding this issue and was told they are waiting to hear back from the manufacture. I was told to wait again another 24 to 48 hours to hear back. I complained about this because I was told that last week and no one has contacted me back yet regarding this issue.

CarId false description, wrong products

Wow, you will have to search wide to encounter such a terrible service! People on Chat are rude, not knowledgeable and reply slow, however they terminate the chat within a minute if you do not respond fast. Calling them is better, at least they are not rude, but be prepared for a 10 minute hold before the person answers. Unfortunately the only thing representatives can do is read the script, they have minimal if any technical knowledge on the parts. Shipping is extremely slow. They say it 48 hours, but it too 4 days to ship my part. Pictured on the site are deceiving and you will not get what is pictured, at least not all the parts.
I bought a radiator and even though site shows the pictures of the necessary for installation cooler caps, they were not included. Site did not specify that the radiator could not be adopted for my car!
When I asked to return, they said I have to pay shipping and not be reimbursed for their ridiculously high shipping cost.

They will substitute parts without you knowing (put new Chinese made part in instead or Japanese refurbished part you bought)

They have a lot of products though and their prices are good (except shipping is per item and is very high), so my advice is to buy through third party, like Amazon or eBay, then at least you will be protected from CARiD customer service.

CarId would not offer refund or discount for misrepresented window deflectors

I ordered front and rear WeatherTech Window Deflectors for my 2015 Ford Fiesta Hatchback from CARid. Both WeatherTech and CARid’s webpage photos show a rear window photo of a different vehicle. If they had a photo of the Deflector on a 2015 Ford Fiesta, it would have show that when the window is lowered slightly, to allow for ventilation, it leaves a 1/2‘ gap at the rear which lets in rain and is an invitation for break-ins. If I had known this, I would never have ordered the set for rear windows, since I find them merely ‘decorative’ and basically unusable for what they’re intended. I requested a refund from CARid, but after 27 email exchanges dealing with three separate people, and repeating the same issue several times, CARid finally informed me that they would not stand behind the WeatherTech window deflectors they sold me and would not offer a refund or discount.

CarId do not do business with carid!

I decided to buy some items from CARiD because they had really great prices. I went to their website and found brake parts that I really needed. Prices was awesome and I immediately placed my order and spent over $900. Then I found another site and decided to order there, because it was much cheaper and quality was better. So I went back to CARiD and contacted customer support. They promised to cancel my order and said that I will be given a refund within 48 hours. Everything they told me was lies! They never cancelled my order and I did receive the package, and they never gave my money back! That was the most terrible shopping experience ever!

CarId poor customer service

Placed an order Sunday for some Jeep and truck parts, about $800 worth and then decided to cancel per their "Easy Cancel" on Monday morning.

Well it isn't quite that easy. You start on line and then end up having to talk with customer service where you get to talk to Antonio, who lies to you and tells you some items have already shipped and that he can't help you with that, but does offer you a $75.00 credit to go ahead and take the order. I figured for 10% off I'd keep the order even though they kind of force to sign up for "membership" in order to purchase from them.
After receiving the shipping notifications from them you see that nothing shipped until the following evening and ### of this date I have yet to see any credits at all back to my account.

I hate liars ! You'll be much better served to use J.C.Whitney, Summit, 4 Wheel Parts, Quadratec, E-Trailer ... the list goes on and on.

Stay way far away from this place if expect a satisfying experience while spending your hard earned $$$$$$$$$$$

CarId awful

I purchased two sets of replacement lights from CARiD to upgrade my car. The lights looked very nice and solid in the photo. Two weeks later I finally received my ordered and tried to install the lights. But those lights did not fit, because the stock plug was wrong. It was strange because when I ordered I checked the description very carefully. Anyways, I contacted CARiD customer service and asked for a refund. Their rep said that there will be no refunds and they could offer only an exchange. To be able to get an exchange I needed to send the lights back to them. So I paid for the return shipping and sent everything back. Three weeks passed and still nothing. They completely ignore all my messages and I have no idea what is going on. Don't buy anything from CARiD.
