'I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern about the behavior of a staff member at the Canadian Tire store in Chilliwack. On October 10, I attempted to return a caulking gun purchased on September 24 due to an injury. The staff member I initially spoke with was helpful, but when another employee intervened, the situation turned aggressive and physically intimidating.
The larger staff member grabbed my receipt from my hand with excessive force, causing it to rip and me to hit the counter with my stomach. This behavior was completely unacceptable and left me feeling shaken. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told that he is very busy then kept waiting for 10 minutes. The manager's response was unsatisfactory, I asked for an apology , and the staff member's apology was insincere ( I am sorry that you felt that way!).
As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and dignity, not subjected to physical intimidation. I hope that Canadian Tire will take immediate action to address this incident and ensure that all customers are treated with the respect and care they deserve.
Recommendation: Report any violent behaviuor to head office.
