Bought this Cap Barbell Weightlifting Bar (084-07844) February 2025 and in June 2025 found that it was defective. The locking device backs out when operating with weight. The store manager (Alexandria, ON) insists that it has a 90-days warranty and should be taken up with the wholesaler (Cap Barbell). I was not aware that hard metal like this can go defective in less than 90-day, a clear inference from discussion with CT manager. I assumed Cap Barbell has at least a one-year manufacturer's warranty. Absolutely not! They offered to sell me a replacement! They refused to escalate the issue. Their managers and leaders chose silence over respect and good customer service.
