Optimum review: Terrible service! Spent hour just to resolve the billing issue.

Ref. Optimum Internet/mobile phone service. If anyone is thinking about ordering Internet and/or Optimum mobile phone service, think again. When I received what I thought was a fiber modem (what I ordered), they sent me a cable modem instead. I immediately returned it and asked them to cancel both the internet and phone service. Two weeks later I get a bill of $40.00, for services I NEVER received. When I finally found a phone number to actually talk to someone, they tried to charge me $5.00 to talk to a live body. I had to ask for a supervisor/manager to resolve the issue. It took arguing for more than an hour before they agread NOT to charge me for the services I DID NOT receive. BUT - I am now required to wait another month to receive the credit. To date, I've spent over 4 hours on the phone with this company. Don't waste your time with this company.
