My boyfriend and I Bought whooper meals on Friday night around 11 pm at the burger King drive through...I woke up the next morning sick as a dog, at first I thought I had the stomach flu but my boyfriend was having the same symptoms. For the past two days I have been throwing up, diarrhea, chills cramps and fever! I don’t know if I can make it to work tomorrow morning. There should something be done about this...we should not have to pay for food that is contaminated or old!

A week ago I had dinner at this Burger King location( a big fish, 8piece chicken tenders, fries, and large diet coke), within 2 hours I was violently ill. Stomach cramps, headache, abdominal pain, fever, chills. I was overnight in a hotel, and it was the only thing I had eaten that day. I contacted the Allen County Ohio Board Of Health, and Corporate Burger King. The board of health has followed up with me, still waiting for corporate BK, still ill a week later with stomach. I know that this is from the BK food. As for the "health professionals" on this and other sites claiming that food poisoning does not set in for at least 24 hours, I will be glad to buy you dinner at Burger King.
I used to love Burger King, but get nauseous just driving by their signs now

I went to burger king with my partner and we both got a double cheese burger meal and as i bit into mine the burger was pink it was not cooked and i took it back to the till and when we left the restaurant i was being sick all afternoon and i had a bad stomach i have been to this restaurant before but i am certainly not going back there ever again because i didn't expect to be sick after having my lunch and i am disgusted in the way it was given to me and i thought they were supposed to have there cooking items at the right temperature but obviously theres were not and i ended up with food poisoning.

I'm glad I found a place to complain. In early May of 2009, I along with my granddaughter stopped into this Burger King at 11 pm.
The restaurant was closed but the drive in was still open. I bought a cheesy tots and when I began to eat them I noticed they were
not good and were like hockey pucks. Why I kept eating them I don't know but exactly 6 hours later at 5 am all hell broke loose. I
became deathly sick and for the first few hours didn't realize that it was food poisoning. The swine flu had just began getting popular
and that is what I thought I might have had. At 4 pm my husband drove me to the hospital and I was treated for food poisoning and
released several hours later. I was sick for at least 7 days. When I complained to Burger King all I got back was a letter stating they
were sorry I got sick. Should have sued them! Just wanted people to be aware of the fact that your food may be laying around
for longer then is legal in these fast food joints and trust me, you don't want to get food poisoning. If something tastes funny take it
back immediately and tell them to eat it.

Personal experience taught me not to trust any fast food service, but once in a while, I like a veggie burger while I am away from home. Burger King offers them so I buy them from time to time. I had a streak of good luck and ate 10 before the latest one (9/12/2010) made me sick. I got over it today and don't usually complain, but that time I also picked up a Whopper meal for my wife and she is still sick today (9/13). These horror stories about BK employees abusing their customers reflects very badly on the company. I am afraid to return for any more food.

peed alot.
i was sick about 48 hours before i started feeling better and now 72 hours later feel about 90%. I will never eat at burger king again unless they can prove publicly that they have system in place to ensure food safety.

My Husband was food Poisoned by Burger King On Garth rd In Baytown, Texas in February and they sold the business franchise to someone else because of all of the complaints. My husband was horribly sick. The Insurance company has been staling to since that day. They want to say it is hard to prove . The Hospital gave my husband 2 types of Antibiotics and other medications and he was completely weak and sick for a whole month and still to this day is not well because of that ordeal. Spoke to the Supervisor and the claim the hospital is charging them for reports and medical records.Mind you it has been since February 20, this has started. We lost time on our jobs and set back in all kinds of ways since his has occurred in our lives. The Health departments should put a stop to these businesses counting on Dr's and Hospitals not following the correct procedures on symptoms that are stated by the patients. We didn't go into the hospital saying we didn't know what was wrong we told them what happened and that my husband was food Poisoned.

The veggie burgers are kept frozen until ordered and then microwaved. They are not run thru the broiler and held. Sounds like you and your wife already had a bug.

It looks like BK's tainted food is coast to coast because this episode occurred in Richmond, Virginia. City Health Department inspectors said they found no contamination at the brand new BK where I was a customer. I'm just glad that we have recovered. My guess is that most cases involve unsanitary workers handling the food.

The Drive through Indian employee intentionally contaminated my food in retaliation for honking at her. On Sunday April 4th, 2010 I went to the Drive-through where the Indian worker took my payment and closed the window with no explanation. Since I had to return to work, I honked at the Indian worker who couldn't hear me because the window was closed. The woman irate grabbed the fries with her dirty bare hands and angrily threw the fries in the bag. I thought this was a temporarily anger so I went back the next day on Monday April 5th, 2010 and ordered the same. The same Indian worker was at the Drive-through window ignoring me. When she gave me my food, I noticed the food was all over the bag outside the wrap. So, I told her I needed that food to be replaced for fear of contamination. She gave the food to another Indian woman who picked up all the food and put it back in the packages. I told the Indian worker I needed the food to be replaced for fear of contamination being improperly handled. The Indian woman told me to speak to the Indian manager who told me to park outside to replace the food. Since I was afraid of their attitudes, I went inside to wait for my food. After several minutes, the Indian manager gave the food to a woman who put it the fries in the microwave and gave me the same food back. I told the manager he was giving me the same food but the manager lied saying the woman just cook the "whole thing." By midnight I was puking like a water hose while having diarrhea in the same manner. I had chills all night long and couldn't get out of the bathroom. My wife didn't eat Burger King and she is not sick. So, I realized these Indian Burger King workers retaliated against me by contaminating my food, or poisoning the food, or simply doing the inmoral known crimes to spit on people's food because of the honk incident the day before. As a result, I miss work, I am very weak and dehydrated, and suffering extreme side effects to Burger King's contaminated food. This incident shows the conduct of these Indian Burger King workers is so outrageous in character and so extreme in degree as to go beyond all possible bounds of decency, and to be regarded as atrocious and utterly intolerable in a civilized society.

I disagree with you. Most of the Burger Kings are run by people who come from India. Due to the lack of water in their homelands, they are not used to wash their hands like we do. I am food poisoned from yseterday BK lunch. It appears as if all the Indian workers took turns spitting on my food becasue I became violently ill with diarrhea and puking. I missed work and all because I honk at the Indian Drive-through woman. Here is my story:

burger king is no longer an american owned buisness, most are ran by mexicans and the quality of the food is very questionable. everyone that i visit is not clean anymore and is ran by mexicans.be careful of where you eat, if the place is dirty leave, and stop going thru the drive thru, go in and check it out.If the wash room is dirty you can believe the kitchen is too.most of the emplorees and owners have very nasty attitudes, and mcdonalds is the same way.

One more thing. The idea that food poisning takes 24 hrs to happen is absolutely not true. It happens quickly. 1-3 hrs. If you get it you will be in the fight of your life.
