Chicken purchased Booth Ripon on 18 June 2017. Cooked 19 June and when carved extensive green discolouration of meat seen. Presumably green muscle disease as found in cheap broiler chickens. All the meat plus packaging was returned to Booths on 20th and a replacement and refund recieved. I spoke to manager Jonny Sime and explained that I was less concerned about a replacement than to understand how Booths could sell such meat under with an expensive free range label. I asked to be informed about the investigation of this matter. He assured me this would happen but I have had heard nothing from Booths. I think this is a very important matter.
I only shop at Booths beacuse they sell high quality local produce. I presume expensive free range meat should have the highest welfare standards. I cannot purchase anything further from Booths until I am reassured how this has happened.
Service and arrogant staff
I am fed up with booths especially the cafe. They always put a block on any
Thing we ask for. You can't have chips instead of mash, you can't have children's sausage and chips without beans whether you like them or not.
We get burnt chips that are hard, stale breaded a lot more. The toilets are not checked as the check form is filled in whenever most time 30 minis before the time. The urinals have been leaking for months and they don't at the moment have hand towel or toilet rolls. Your assistant manager is very ignorant and the staff are so slow I have aged waiting.

I contacted the Ilkley branch to complain that the above item I purchased was out of date. The reply came that all of the rest of this particular item said 2018 and not 27/07/2016 which is the one I had. The man handling the call didnt apologise and I had to prompt him to do that.
I asked him to get the store manager to ring me back, which didnt happen. So I then contacted their supposed national customer complaint and emailed someone called Michelle.
She replied that the date was 27/07/2018, even though I can clearly see the date and I sent this - Michelle high definition pictures with me Canon professional camera.
Me and my partner have used the Knutsford branch and in recent years the Ilkley branch - but never again. I hope like all other arrogance retailers they go bust. At least I will be satisfied for being treated with disrespectul. Maybe they are just bigots.
If you look at the text on the jar - it is clearly a squashed 6 but the stupid woman at Booth's just ignores the fact
Reduced products.
Having visiting this supermarket several times a week!Cant help but notice
there as regular group off people congregate aroud the reduced produce section!To which they take things out off fridges an fill there trolleys /basketts
with as many products as possible! that are to be reducedThen hold on to them for the assitant to reduce them more, other people are also waiting for a bargain!but stand no chance what so ever off getting any off
the deals, as they pass then to the assitant, then load them back into there
trolley an basketts.Surely this not good practice! At least let every one get a chance an not the regular few.i mentioned this to a member off staff!to which they told me it happens all the time!
An also take products from parts off store to take to tha assitant to be reduced,
It does not look good good for a company off your standiing.

Rude Staff,Management disinformation.
I have been shopping at Booths supermarket for many years and never found any problem's with approachable staff before apart from now. Whilst shopping for food recently i asked a member of their Booths isle staff for the availability of Heinz 57 steak sauce, in reply to my question at which point i can only describe as being snapped at, the answer came back...
