Bank of America Bank of America prepaid Edd debit card account

My name is Patricia Reyes. Ive opened a claim on the first 11 deposits edd made into my account. They were hidden from me. They never showed on my statements. I contacted Edd to get records off all my deposits and 11 deposits made in March were paid to my account but never in my account. When I filed. A claim about it. The reps told me they need a supervisor because these transactions were archived and only a supervisor could find them. I spoke to supervisor and after 3 long hours she opened my claim for 12,448. Worth the amount of those 11 deposits. The supervisor even added .my hardship situation. On my claim. That i was getting evicted so they would expedite my claim. There promise is to give provisional credit after 10 days until they finish their investigation . Well it's been 2 months and. They have totally ignored my urgency please help me.

My phone number is [protected]

My address is 40 Gaven st #1

Bank of America Customer service

For the second time BOA placed a fraud alert on my account for a check I wrote for $700 to my son in Dallas, Texas so he could pay the balance of the work done on my truck. NTB is the facility. I had already pd them $1300 but there was a remaining balance that they kindly let me leave until I forwarded the remaining balance to my son. I don't use cell phones or computers. It's too easy for people to cheat you. I made 12 phone calls trying to get this ironed out with customer service. I wasted 4 hours and got so pissed off I lost my temper more than once. I recorded all the calls and have them saved on my phone. I called them from work, my emergency phone# and finally my home phone. As of this morning it still wouldn't let me research my account. This ruined the dinner I had planned for my older son's birthday. There was absolutely no reason for a fraud alert to be issued on my account. This is totally over reaching! I want those women fired!

Desired outcome: Fire them!!!

Bank of America Customer service, discrimination

Everything I've tried cashing my employment checks which I've been receiving for over 5 years. Any other branch I've been to have been cashing it without any issues but every time I'm in the area for work and I need to cash my check, all associates including branch manager have been giving me issues by making excuses and choosing to not cash my checks but if the customer is Hispanic they help them out without any issues but if you're non Hispanic they mistreat you and give attitude. I feel completely disrespected and discriminated. Specifically the branch manager "Samuel Galvez" must pay for his actions.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate for the associates specially for the branch manager to be terminated as a bank employee for discriminating and disrespecting.

Bank of America New business bank account

I visited your bell road brand to open a new business account around 3pm. The staff at the reception was quite welcoming, took my EIN number and searched for it however asked to come back at 4pm since I didn’t have an appointment. I went out and came back at 4pm and asked to wait for the business banker to finalize with client then she could see me. The business banker acknowledged my presence promising to be with me shortly. While Waiting for the business banker, the home loan staff called me to her office only to tell me that the business banking specialist is not available and if I could come in the following day at 9am. I asked her what’s going on coz I had come on earlier and asked to return at 4 pm to be attended by the business banker and now asking me to come back the following day? I retaliated that they should open the account as it would be unfair to have kept me that long only to turn me down. She asked me for my EIN number and she asked me what kind of business I was to run and I told her group home and all the care that comes with it like Counselling, Doc appointments etc. she then asked me to wait as she sought help from the branch manager who accompanied her back. To my rude shock, she told me that they cannot open an account for me since I was not specific on the kind of business I wanted to do yet I mentioned a group home. The manager insisted that I didn’t mention that to her staff and that they would not open my account coz I failed screening and added that there is a lot of fraud in similar businesses as I was not being specific. I asked her if she could hear from me since she was now with me since her staff misheard me coz I mentioned group home to her . She categorically told me that she believes her staff and will go with what she said and not what I was telling her. By this time I was so furious by the managers attitude, choosing the staffs side and completely locking me out which was very demeaning, embarrassing and discriminatory. I asked her if in Bank of America the customer is not head and could considered right and she was categorical that she believes her staff and not me which was very infuriating. My experience left me wondering what kind of organization Bank of America is. I have been a banker for over 25 years in an international bank and I can tell you that my experience left a very bitter taste as I expected world class service however received the contrary. I still don’t understand why they declined to open my business account and why the manager refused to hear me out and would like a clear explanation of why that attitude and mistrust as if I was a fraudster as manager insinuated which was very belittling and heartbreaking. I am still in shock.

Desired outcome: response to my complaint

Bank of America Customer service

I walked on to get help with my edd bank of america card after calling Bank of ameeica and being told that I can walk in, a d the lady was right off the bat rude because she heard EDD. I explained to her I spoke to bank of america this morning and was advised I could walk in for help and she began speaking over me and saying that I needed to call EDD. I began explaining to her that the phone number provided on the card was for bank of america and she continued to shake her head and speak over me saying I needed to contact EDD. I said I think you are mistaken and walked out. I then called the Bank of Aner8ca number on the back of the card and was able to have a new card issued and mailed to my home address. I planned on taking the $900 and opening an account with Bank of America for I was only unemployed for 2 weeks and was rehired full time. I will now be going elsewhere due to the judgement and rudeness of their bank tellers. Very embarrassing to be treated like that when she didn't even know or hear the situation before shaking her head and telling me to contact EDD. I called to speak with a manager and no one answers the phone. I work in customer service and that was am awful experience. Never going back to this location. It was the older Hispanic women with short curly hair. Someone should retrain her. I planned on opening an account and will not now at any bank of anerica location.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate if management spoke to this women about her unprofessional judgement and the way she handled this situation.

Bank of America Poor service at 4012 foothills blvd roseville

I walked into bank on 08-11-23 3:25pm at location of 4012 Foothills Blvd Roseville Ca 95678. Asked teller if I can do a wire transfer. She said that I probably won't be able to do it since there is no appointments available. There were 3 tellers siting behind the counter no customer in line. I was suggested to sit in chair and see if person in office would be able to fit me in. The person in the office came out and said that she is not able to help me since her last appointment just arrived. She was nice and walked to counter asked someone for support. Someone behind counter indicated her to say no to me. Then she suggested me to go to BOA on Douglas since they open until 5pm and they are open on Saturdays.

I am very frustrated with some of the changes Bank of America has been made. Those changes more favored employees than customers.

During pandemic, you guys closed as many as locations you can since people are sick and not sick ones scare to death. After pandemic, hours changed to closes at 4pm for bank's convenience? For most of people who work day shifts, there is no way they can handle bank needs like before.

I have been banking with BOA since 1998 and I miss old days. Tellers were friendly, I could do wire at counter. And open accounts without appointments.

Unfortunately, a lot of changes we have that made customers inconvenient.

Sadly, I am starting thinking to switch bank soon. Not pride any more about banking with BOA.

Desired outcome: When changes made, it benefit bank, employees or customers? In long run, losing customers, where business going to come from?

Bank of America Debit card and third party app

within 60 day I had a some over 18,000 in fraud charges from a third party app, now in the 20 years I have been with BOA I have never had any so many withdraws to an cash app, because they said they had my IP address and my birthday they would not pay back but while they looked in to which took 88 days they came up with only 2,700 that they would credit back to me, in the meantime they gave me a temporary credit so I could make my bills then told me afterward if the claim is denied I would have to pay it back. Now I owe BOA 6,500 of my money. doing my research people can use your IP address and I found out my information was on the dark web. I am so sick over this and I don't know how to get my money back, any help would be appreciated.

Bank of America Credit card

Greetings,

My name is Boris Medvedev, I reside in Slidell, Louisiana. Approximately two weeks ago, I received an offer in the mail for a credit card with terms that I found appealing. I applied for the offer and was approved.

On 8/3/23, I received my new card in the mail. I downloaded a mobile app as per the instructions on the card, but the app only gave me one option to "schedule an appointment". I then went on to bankofamerica.com and attempted to log in using the same information I used to create an account with the mobile app. The website would not allow me to proceed past the log in portion. At which time, I called the phone number on the card. A lady who answered the phone was polite and advised me to go to a local branch to "get verified". I found it strange but did not argue. I looked up the nearest branch to me and was surprised to find out that the nearest branch to me was 172 miles away.

Being a rational person, I did not get into my truck, that gets 9 miles to a gallon, and did not begin a journey to the nearest Bank of America to get verified for a credit card. I called the number back, I was prompted to type in my social security number, and after a minute of waiting in silence, the line hung up. I repeated the previous step, and once again I was hung up on.

I googled Bank of America customer service number and called it. Thankfully, this time another very nice person answered the phone. I explained my problem to her and after a back and forth that lasted approximately 20 minutes, this person advised me that I would have to drive 172 miles to get my issue resolved. I asked her what she would think if she were asked to do the same task, at which point she wished me a good day and hung up the phone.

Of course, at this point, I began to feel like I was being pranked; anyone in my position would. I deduced that the issue may have something to do with a fraud issue. So, I called the fraud department number for Bank of America. After speaking with a polite person for approximately 30 minutes, we circled back to the same outcome - travel to Bank of America branch, there is nothing I can do. As one would in this situation, I asked to speak to someone with more advanced access in order to assist me with my issues, and 10-15 minutes later, the person on the phone referred me to an automated character named Erica via the mobile app. I advised the person on the phone that my mobile app only provided me with an option to "make an appointment (remember that from earlier?), so I did not have a way to communicate with "Erica", at which time the person from the fraud department transferred me to the customer care team, despite my objection.

After being transferred to the customer care team member, I was assured that my issue would be resolved in a timely manner, and I was advised that we needed to get in touch with the fraud department (remember where I was just transferred from). Once that was accomplished, I finally learned that my card was blocked, however, no one would tell me why. The person on the phone asked me for my phone numbers, which I provided. She then told me that my phone numbers could not be verified, therefore, I needed to go ahead and travel the 172 miles to the nearest Bank of America branch.

By now, you can probably imagine that I was no longer interested in having this credit card activated, but I learned that I would have to drive my happy behind (remember the 9 miles to the gallon) just to have this card cancelled. Whoopie! I will get right on that.

I am a police officer, but due to my enormous family obligations I also have another job and I own a small business. I say to this illustrate how important my time is to me, and how these 3 hours I spent dealing with this issue affected me, as I am sure many other people who will now despise your organization due to your practices. Through all of my methods of acquiring income, I deal with 5 different financial institutions. Not ONE time did I ever have to step out of the comfort of my house or my office to open an account or to close one.

My objectives in writing this complaint are following:

- If this is a standard practice for your bank to perform in person verifications then stop offering your services in the states where you do not have branches.

- Management is a very important part of any customer service industry. If a customer continuously requests to speak to a manager, your staff should not refer the already upset customer to an AI character instead.

- It would make me less upset, if even one person in your enormous organization could find a way to use any or all forms of my identification to cancel my account without me having to drive 172 miles to see you in person.

Desired outcome: See narrative
