Banfield Pet Hospital review: Shame on them!!

Misdiagnosed my fur baby 2x, prescribed meds she did not need and tried to convince me that her exacerbated Lyme was arthritis! Therefore they tried to convince me of their new arthritis shot "she can get one today then you come back monthly..." That would be a hard NO considering she does not have any arthritis whatsoever! They did not review her charts, if they had, they would know for a fact she has never been in for any type of pain issues, with the exception of her Lyme flare up every few years or so. I had to educate the vet on Lyme disease then explain that I'm concerned that if you don't treat her Lyme flare up, it will cause damage to her other organs & maybe even death. I requested he prescribe the doxycycline, several times, that she actually needs or I will be forced to take her to the emergency vet. He reluctantly did it. Shame on them! And she has been doing great. At another location, brought her in for her eye, they said she scratched it and prescribed 3 eye drops for 2 weeks then a follow up. At the follow up I said there is no improvement, they instructed me to continue the drops for 2 more weeks! I asked why when there is no improvement and she is uncomfortable. They did not care! Shame on them! Brought her to a vet ophthalmologist who debrided the scratch, placed a clear "contact lense" and prescribed 2 eye drops, she was better in 2 days. They should have been the ones to recommend the ophthalmologist instead of risking her eye getting worse or permanent damage. Shame on them!
Seven years ago, brought her in for a cracked tooth. They charge $1,150.00...for one little Chihuahua tooth! Highway robbery! Shame on them!
They misdiagnosed my daughters pit mix, wound up at the emergency vet because he had been vomiting and loose stools, lost 15 lbs and Banfield told her he is eating too fast, feed him smaller more frequent meals! They ran no tests. They should have been concerned he lost so much weight! He had undiagnosed and untreated worms! Needed antibiotics and dewormer. They don't care! Shame on them! He is doing
Found a much better caring vet who actually cares and knows what they are doing!
Banfield pet hospitals should be shut down! The company should just stick to selling their crappy candy and leave beloved fur babies alone! Anyone else feel the same way?
Their are much better vets and vet techs out there, trust me. Keep searching, it's definitely worth it.
