AutoNation I agree with many others, if I could leave no stars, I would

Someone had to do something against this insurer (I highly recommend bitclaim dot net) to help fight for what's ours with their highly skilled lawyers, it is worse than it is, the collision centers do not deliver the vehicles ready because this insurer does not pay them! It takes 30m or more to answer calls! They blame the collision center when they talk to you, and when they talk to the collision center, you tell them that you are to blame, the adjusters never answer, they are a cheek of people! The worst on the market! They are a headache, irresponsible, poor pay

AutoNation is an absolute mess. Everything they do takes longer than it should, If you are unfortunate enough to come in contact with their customer service, they will ignore your needs and pass you from one center to another. Everything seems to be a problem, so much so that nothing can get done. Letting them get away with owing you money or repairs equals needing to chase them legally. They do not value your time and action, so keep your excuses ready.

AutoNation Very dishonest company and rude general manager

I walked in and test drove a Colorado. Salesman ask what I owed and I gave him a ball park figure. Also told the saleman I did not want paint protection or interior protection at $699..00 a piece. They added it anyway. Also told me they would give 15,500 for my car. My credit union called me and said they had sent a check for only 14,000. So unfair and haven't recieved credit drom them on the 2 packages thay they added that I dind not want. General manager told me he would give the refunf IF I gave him a good review. I thought about it and I would be lying if I did that so I told the truth. General managed screamed at me over the phone and told me I was a liar.

Recommendation: Avoid at all cost!

AutoNation Taken advantage

I recently put in a complaint about a month ago because my warranty and receipts was not being submitted service managers was not getting back in contact with me. After filing that complaint That same weekend I received a call and an email from the service manager saying he would like to talk to me and clear things up. It was Saturday my daughter's birthday so I explain I would call him that following Monday. I gave him a call we went over the issues I explained how the maintenance receipts were turned in, but they needed one more that was not submitted he ask if I could email it to him and he would submit it and that should be enough but they still wanted me to pay $875 un-refundable money to open the turbo valve to look inside but he submitted the new receipt but before doing so he ask me to resend a survey to look in my email then emailed me again saying they should be sending the survey tomorrow make sure I state that I was stratified in which I agreed thinking we would work things out as he said per phone conversation. A week goes by I hear nothing from him so I emailed him asking what's happing with the warranty He emailed me stating "oh yea" they didn't bite they still want me to pay I explained to him (see picture attached) that the on the service paper it read the maintenance receipts "OR" I could pay them to open the Turbo valve which makes no since being I brought the warranty produced all Maintenace receipts as warranty ask of me to make sure the car has been kept up which was brough brand new and only 5 years old, and being they had the car for 3 weeks in which I paid 600 a week for a rental So I emailed asking could they please work with me since I'm already out of so much money could he please come down on the price to open the turbo valve. I asked around at other dealerships they quoted me about $350 and being I've been with you guys so long can we please work something out can you try? but I never heard from the service manager again I realized he only called for me to re-submit the survey on my service in nothing had been done but the back breaks I paid for. he never emailed me back and said No or try to work with me. even after being with them for over 10 years, this is unprofessional and upsetting to see a name people use to trust and proudly have the famous pink license plate on their car. As consumers who get taken most of the time it's a couple of good service we try to find and stick with that's a good honesty AC repair company and a good honesty car dealership which is rare, and with this getting even rarer. No one likes getting taken advantage.

AutoNation Mini cooper

Bought the vehicle July 29th, Gabriel our salesman told us it will be ready early next week so they can fix a problem with the clutch plates and the brakes. But it turned into an entire week. Aug 7th we got our vehicle. After driving 3 days & 20 miles, some heavy rattling noise was coming in so we contacted AutoNation and Christopher Ramos told us since we had a warranty to take it straight to Mini Cooper of The Woodlands. Since then, we still do not have our car. We decided to head over to AutoNation in person again and talked with Alan Schmitt one of the managers and he assured us that our vehicle will be ready soon. Since meeting Alan they are still not communicating with us exactly what is being repaired or how long it will be. Furthermore, we also tried to contact the corporate office in Florida to see if we could get any information on our vehicle and no one has responded our emails or customer relations calls. Every time we call the store to check status on our vehicle, we get asked several questions as to why we are calling, and they put a different person on the phone that will try their debate skills they learned in high school. We are not here to hear the facts of how old the car is that we bought, but we are here at this point because they did a 3 point inspection, not a 21pt inspection or they would have caught the 12 bolts that were missing that was causing most of the rattling situation that the Mini Cooper of the Woodlands showed us on 3 different walk-through inspection videos. The moral of the story is this dealership and corporate office is not communicating with us on letting us know what is actually going on with our vehicle therefore anyone purchasing a vehicle beware and get someone to inspect that vehicle in the parking lot before driving off their premises. One thing that really chaps my hide is that if they told me my car is under warranty and to take it the dealership, why hasn't there been a warranty claim started from AutoNation or The mini Cooper of the Woodlands? That's how they sold us on purchasing the warranty plan in the first place, because they said if anything has to be worked on which implied usage of the warranty then you can drive a rental while your car is being worked on. The last video shows after having it towed twice or thrice from AutoNation back and forth to Mini of the Woodlands, that last inspection video now shows the timing belt dangling. THE timing belt was not an issue but now it is? We are so confused and so fed up, we have no idea what is happening to our car or when we can pick it up.

AutoNation Recall repairs to a 2014 Ford F 150 pick up.

I took my 2014 Ford F 150 because I received a recall notice. The customer service rep told me that my vehicle also needed new tires. They made the recall repairs and replaced the tires. now, the windshield wipers do not work. they were working fine before their repairs. They want to charge me $150 for a diagnostic test to determine why the wipers are not working. They caused the problem and they want me to pay to see what they did wrong. I bought 4 vehicles from this company but I will not buy another one from them

Contact AutoNation’s customer service or higher management directly, explaining the situation and emphasizing that you have provided the necessary maintenance receipts as requested under your warranty. Mention the lack of response from the service rep and manager. Request immediate submission of your receipts and for the repairs to be completed under the warranty. If they continue to ignore your requests, consider escalating the matter to corporate or seeking legal advice to ensure your warranty rights are honored.

AutoNation Faulty car

We purchased the car 60 days ago (or so) and we have had to replace all four tires and now a battery. The car has 20,000 (18,500 when we purchased it) miles on it and we have not hit the threshold of the 90 days or 4,000 warranty that the dealership offers not to mention the extended warranty we purchased. There is absolutely no reason we have had to spend $1700 on repairs on a car that we purchased less than 3 months ago. The dealership is refusing to help us and basically said “we checked the battery” and “the tires were fine”. I also have reached out to their corporate office via phone on 8/30, 9/3, 9/4, 9/5, 9/6, 9/9, 9/10 and 9/17, I have also emailed them on 8/30, 9/3, 9/4, 9/9, 9/10, 9/11, 9/12. I have received absolutely zero response from anyone. I write reviews and I get told " call the general manager". The same general manager who refuses to help us?

Claimed loss: $1700

Desired outcome: $1700

It’s incredibly frustrating that you’ve had to spend $1,700 on repairs for a car you purchased less than 3 months ago, especially given that it's still under the dealership's 90-day warranty and an extended warranty you purchased. Tires and a battery should not be issues on a car with only 20,000 miles, and it’s disappointing that AutoNation is refusing to help or take responsibility for the condition of the vehicle when sold.

The fact that you've reached out to both the dealership and corporate office numerous times without any response shows a complete lack of customer service. Being told to contact the same general manager who’s refusing to assist only adds to the frustration.

At this point, it may be worth escalating this further by considering contacting consumer protection agencies, filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), or seeking legal advice. You deserve a resolution, especially with the warranties in place and the poor service you’ve received from both the dealership and corporate office.

AutoNation Vehicle

I bought a 2020 mitsubishi Outlander from AutoNation Avondale in Arizona. Was told it went through a rigorous inspection and had a clean carfax. After a couple weeks I heard a noise and was told to take it to a Mitsubishi dealer. Went there and was told it had been in an accident and had damage that they would not cover. Took it to AutoNation Chevrolet where my warranty would cover the work. Had an appointment for Feb. 14. Called today and they still have not even looked at it. They don`t give loaner cars so I have not had a vehicle for over two weeks. They said to bad, rent one. They also do not return any calls. Mitsubishi dealer told us the car should never have been sold in the condition it is in. We offered to take a similar vehicle in trade but was told no. We just want our vehicle repaired and safe to drive. Don`t know what else to do. Worse experience I have ever had in 55 years of buying cars. I hope you can help. Thank you. [protected]@yahoo.com

AutoNation Purchase of 2017 Chevy Equinox

I purchased my 2017 Chevy Equinox in October 2023 and took the car in for service a couple of weeks ago. They wanted almost $4,000 to repair an apparent oil leak. I feel that is not fair after purchasing the car for $16,000. I have my car at my mechanic and the engine is bad and engine coolant is mixing in with the oil. They don't want to repair it because there may be other things bad with the engine. Several calls to AutoNation Honda, 1533 S River Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60018 where I purchased my car have gone unanswered. I have been trying to contact Jason Saxton for help. I just want to possibly get another car that works. I tried reasoning with the salesman but was told I have to still pay for repairs and can only get the Bluebook value of the car. Please help. I am willing to purchase another car but don't want to have the repair bill added to a purchase and only get the bluebook value. I am currently without a car and need assistant with this problem.

AutoNation 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

My car has been at your Savannah, GA dealership since November 28, 2023.

The only way I can find out any info on my car is to make a personal visit to the dealership. This facility never answers the phone.

My contact person is supposed to be Melissa Valdera-Pujol. Horrible Service Lane Manager. She does not answer text messages or phone calls to either of the numbers on the card.

Since we have been dealing with the Savannah store my husband has had a heart attack. All stress related.

Can someone from your company please contact me and let me know the status of my car.

By the way I was in the process of beginning to look for a new car in the next month or so. Be assured I will not purchase from AutoNation's Savannah store.

I have enjoyed my car and it has been good to me but I cannot tolerate the lousy service. Audrey Fowler, [protected].

When given an offer in writing to sell vehicle then the manager claims he appraised vehicle himself and basically called me a liar. I did not have the appraisal with me and was a bit aggrevated with the managers attitude. I spent over three hours waiting waiting for paperwork due to printer problem only to find out the check was 1200. Lower than promised.

AutoNation Over charged on trade-in value for a defective vehicle

Good morning! We purchased 2016 Chrytsler Town & Country Van from Autonation Laurel MD on 08/23/2023 since we purchased the vehicle has issues which was notified to the dealer, which they agreed to fix later as the part was on back order,

in next 3 days it has other issues such as engine turnoff, jerks and check engine lights came on.

Van was going back and forth to the service dept in 2 months finally the part came in and van went to service dept where they found out that van has transmission issues, in the meantime Sales Manager offered a Brand-New Buick 2024 encore and processed the loan and did not give as full value of the van and add depreciation value in our new loan. which is not fair for us to pay any amount for defective vehicle within 90 days.

it was very risky and dangerous to drive that defective vehicle as it was turned off on main road at the light and engine shutoff,

we went through so much stress and hassle during this time.

this has been notified to dealer and General Manager by email about the van issues and defective vehicle,

Later the VAN was sold to the Auction within a week as it was a defective vehicle with transmission problem which they took money from us and add into our new loan,

Around $5000 they add into our new loan for the defective vehicle was given to us and we have to pay the price which is not fair for us.

We live on paycheck to paycheck and $5000+ is lot of amounts for us to pay,

I request to the higher Authority to please look into it and re-pay the additional amount charged to us for a defective vehicle which was sold to the auction right away.

we have all emails and service records in order to present if needed.

At this point this is our a humbly request for reimbursement of our additional amount was charged for a defective vehicle.

Please help us.

Thank You

AutoNation 2019 Mercedes Benz GLC300 Coupe

I’m Hope Avery and on May 8, 2023 I went to Mercedes Benz of Houston Greenway and purchased a 2019 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 Coupe Certified Used. It had 83,295 miles. Don Morales was my salesperson. I put the vehicle in my LLC, business name and personal guarantee it using my personal. I put $0 down for the down payment to the finance manager who was Kevin Cayard. He told me I had a great warranty and it covered for any mechanical breakdowns, labor, wheel and tire repair, etc. The warranty was implemented into my bill for $5,333.00. The first day of driving it off the lot around 7:30pm, the vehicle was having brake & steering problems. I messaged Don Morales and he told me to bring it back and allow the service department to fix it, they fixed it. Later that month of May, the vehicle began to idle and misfire and it was hard starting it as well. I messaged Don again about it and no response. I brought it back to the dealership to receive my license plates & my registration. I told the service managers. It took them 2 hours to assist me then I had to leave & pick my daughter up. Then after another month, the engine light came on. I texted Don again, no response. I went to the location & was told by Jason and Remus Bulmer that I could not trade it in and they did a diagnostic and it was the fuel pump and everything was fine. They told me to go home and scheduled for me to come in the following Thursday to fix it. Monday came and in the middle of driving, the car shut off and rolled off the street. I towed it to the location and they called me and said it was an engine problem. My service advisor Drake said I can go through my warranty & he was 99% sure they would fix it. 2 weeks later the claim was denied because the car was in my business name & deemed as commercial use. I did not use it for that. Now I have to pay $20K for a new engine. I would like to trade in the car or get rid of loan. I was sold a lemon. I would like a refund for my warranty that I did not use. Also it is illegal to sell someone an extended warranty if I cannot use it. If I couldn’t use the warranty because it was in my business name, what was the reason for Kevin Cayard selling it to me. Also I was told by Don Morales that the car had no accidents and a clean title. I ran the car fax of the vehicle and the car had 2 previous accidents from a previous owner. I was lied to and scammed. I would like the money back for my warranty that I can’t use, a trade in, and also the debt to be removed from my credit.

Claimed loss: I would like a refund of my extended warranty of $5,333.00.

AutoNation Service department at mercedes benz of westmont

On 09/14/23, I drove to this dealership to make an appointment for extended warranty work on my 2015 Mercedes GLK 250. A Bosch certified repair shop said the check engine light was on because the EGR valve was not working. In addition, the DPF system was full of soot and unable to regenerate. I spoke to a service advisor, Tim Kronon, and told him the problems my car was experiencing. He said that's not the problem but will make a note of it.

On 09/21/23 I brought my car in for the service and Tim asked me if I had replaced the MAF sensor recently. I told him that the MAF sensor was replaced two weeks ago and it is still under warranty. After a few hours, Tim told me I needed to get the MAF sensor reprogrammed. I found this odd because the MAF sensor was already programmed. Tim told me that this would fix the problem. Two hours later the programming was finished and I could take the car home. He charged me $636.00 and the car was outside. I was told by Tim that there was no check engine light and to bring the car back if the check engine light goes on. I started up the car and the check engine light was still on. I was furious. I wasted a day and $636 on a tech's wrong guess.

I left the car there and was promised they would find the problem. Their solution was to tell me my MAF sensor was not compatible for my car and I needed to buy a $900 MAF sensor from the dealership. They then did a test and installed a factory MAF sensor in my car. I received a text message from Tim and was told the check engine light still went on with the factory sensor.

Two weeks later, I was told a manual regen on the DPF was done and there was no more check engine light only with the factory sensor. There would be no reason for me to buy the factory sensor for $900 when the other sensor was still under warranty. I took my car back to the Bosch repair shop and they replaced the sensor at no charge. Today, my car is working the way it should be. The check engine light was on because of the DPF problem, not any sensor problem.

I contacted Tim again and told him the Bosch service center fixed the problem and not his dealership. Under the circumstances, my $636 should be refunded because of his error. Tim would have the General Manager contact me. This is just a scam because neither the GM and Tim will return my phones calls.

AutoNation Complete lack of of honest and fair sales and service

My children almost died on Interstate 80 in Wyoming yesterday due to the complete lack of of honest and fair sales and service on your company's part. From day 1 the truck had problems and you and your dealerships along with GMC have refused to acknowledge any of them as your responsibility. Going as far as your general manger stating" I don't have to do anything for you" That nice little blurb and the rest of his attitude is all on video. They have, in the last week, spent almost $1000 on "fixes" so they would be able to make it home. Right now they are in Wyoming trying to make it to a GMC repair shop without having the truck once again stop working in the middle of the interstate. I can assure you that this missive is only the beginning for AutoNation. I will do EVERYTHING in my power, including notifying the Armed Services that you can't be trusted with military personnel and their money. I will have AutoNation on the local news every chance I get. YOUR COMPANY ALMOST KILLED MY KIDS!

I dropped my 2012-land-rover-range-rover off last week at your Hunt Valley location, I received 2 service tech videos last week letting me know the damages, I spoke to George about my repairs, I needed a radiator,4 tires wit alignment and the bolts that was missing from the supercharger and my bill was $5913.93, I stopped by earlier to check on the progress an was meet wit a guy I never spoke to trying to upset me on things I didn't need or want, like a engine pressure test, I explained about what I wanted he got loud I got loud the he going say"You Can Take Your Vehicle Somewhere Else", in a manner that I received as disrespecting me as a human being spending a couple thousand bucks

Claimed loss: My time and patience

AutoNation Autonation warranty cancellation customer service issue

I received a response to my email request dated 10-4-2023 and I responded to it answering the questions you had and providing additional information. I have not received anything to date about what I needed. Case #36035370, Emailed from dealership AutoNation Chrylser, Jeep, Ram in Col Ga on Victory Dr. on 9-19-23 by the Finance manager name Wayne Koenig. Cancellation of extended warranty due to car being totaled on Aug 22, 2023. I provided Mr. Koenig with the letter from the insurance company stating mileage when the car was totaled. He attached it to the email. The car was not financed. I paid in full the date of purchase in 6/2022. I was there when he did all of this. I want to know what amount of refund to expect and to make sure the funds are deposited or a check sent to me. The funds were paid by me in full the date of purchase. My account # should be indicated on the Information the dealership has. If not I can provide you with a copy of where the amount for the full purchase price was deducted from my account the day we purchased the car. If the check is mailed my address is 8344 Frank Houser Ave #1734 Columbus Ga 31909. Please advise Mr Koenig is a poor excuse...

Desired outcome: Refund.... To me.....

AutoNation Product cancellation request in your store at autonation honda tucson auto mall

I trade on 6/15/2023 a Passport SUV (vin 5FNYF7H50NB000020) that purchase in your store at Autonation Honda Tucson auto mall on 01/13/2022, with the document (ADOT Secure odometer disclosure) that the Auto dealer who sold to me a new car taking the passport in trade-in. I went o your store in order to file a Product Cancellation Request that I did on 7/21/2023, the finance Manager who take care of me was Mark Ibarra telling me that in max 4 weeks I will receive my balance of the insurances not used, After 2 moths of the filing I call Mr. Ibarra leaving in his voice-mail info about me and the delay of payment of the not used insurances (Balance of each one; Extended service = 942.18. Gap - 729.04 & Tire & Wheel = 368.02 info from Mr. Ibarra), after one week & nor response from Mr Ibarra, I went to your dealership looking for Mr. Ibarra, once I mentioned him about my call one week ago, he mentioned that his has in his pending's to call me, I found this outrageous with a high lack of responsibility & curtesy to a customer, He explain to me that the Lienholder (Citizens Bank NA) is the one who will send to my attn. the payments, Therefore, I need to contact the Lienholder about the delay and Autonation does not have nothing to do on this. The next day I received a check from Auto nation (Share Services Center, Irving Tx) in the amount of 368.02 (No. [protected]; dated 14sep23) that covers the balance of tire&Wheel, My 1st thinking was that Mr. does not know his duties, on 19sep23 I received a 2nd check in the amount of 729.04 that covers the gap not used, but on 10/10//2023 I received a letter fron my bank Stating that the last check has a stop payment cancelling the deposit of it. Due to this anomaly I contact on [protected] (the General manager of Autonation Tucson; Mr Peranzi) and I explain him the above issue, he promised me to resolve such situation and promised to call me back during the 9 with a satisfactory result, Until today he did not call me, even Thou I call him 3 times during the week with not success. I hope you can fix anomaly situation, that neither Mr Peranzi or Mr Ibarra could not do it. If you need to upload documents related to this issue, please let know, I hope that this request did not delay more the solution.

Desired outcome: Pay me ASAP the balances in my favor (942.18 for extended Services & 729.04 Gap). I hope too, to receive an answer ASAP manner.

AutoNation Terrible service and experience

My name Jazzmine, I purchased my first SUV jeep wrangler and was super excited on 9-16-23. My salesperson was Massine and I financed through my bank so everything went pretty fast. Once I left the lot, my mom noticed once I got home that my tire on my back passenger side was wobbling as if it was about to come off. This was a Saturday so I had to park it and wait until Monday to take it and get looked at. We ended up finding out that my jeep had a bad wheel barren, which should have been observed during a proper inspection. Massine told me that this would be a quick fix and I would have my vehicle soon and gave me a loner. Me and my mom came in and as soon as Massine seen us he walked to the back of the building avoiding us, he never updated us within the 3 weeks of me not having my vehicle (that was a quick fix) unless we called him and even then he talked to us as if we were irritating him. It has taken them 3 weeks to get my truck back to me, my car note is now due for a vehicle I have only drove once which was the time of purchase. I asked Massine was there anything they could do to compensate me for this huge inconvenience that was not my fault but their and he said that he could not help me anymore. I spend so much money for my vehicle and to have this kind of service and have my exciting experience of buy my first car taken from me really was disappointing. He was so rude to me when all I wanted was to get updates and see if I can be compensated outside of a rental that they had to give me. I would really love for somebody to reach out to me because this was not what I expected.

Desired outcome: I got my truck and Massine since then has been very rude, not helpful and showing that its all about the commission not the customer. Its like now that I have my car he wants nothing to do with me and my problems.

AutoNation Extended protection plan / customer service

I bought a 2018 GMC Sierra from Auto Nation Honda in Knoxville Tenn. It had 16,431 ,iles on it. I bought the Extended protection plan for 100,000 miles which put me at 116,431 mile for warranty. I bought the GOLD coverage. At 94,811miles the transmission burnt up due to a torque converter failure. I have been on th e phone on and off for 3 days with the claim still not under review and all i get from the service is excuses and how they really are just trying to avoid the payment / approval of repair. itI amm having to rent a car to go to work and they will not even talk to me about rental reimbursement until the claim is approved and final invoice is rendered. so this puts the customer is a position that they have to fork out all the money for the rental ( note they only pay $35 a day max 10 days) for you to even file to get reimbursed I paid $4000 for the warranty and I take care of my truck as you can see in the pictures

Desired outcome: I want Auto nation warranty to get my truck repaired in a timely manner
