I had a bad experience with Applewood Plumbing, Heating & Electric
I had a bad experience with Applewood Plumbing, Heating & Electric. My mom, who's 79, paid too much and they wouldn't tell us why. We called four times and no manager ever called back. It seems like they're taking advantage of old people.
I wanna say that Applewood Plumbing did a bad job and cheated me
I wanna say that Applewood Plumbing did a bad job and cheated me. They installed a Mini Split in May , but in May 2022, the AC stopped cooling and oil was coming out of the lines connecting to the outdoor unit. A technician came and said there was no coolant, so he recharged it. He said there was no leak, but we saw more oil leakage around the flare-90 joint. Another technician came and said there was no leak after performing a bubble test. I talked to the manager and they agreed to fix it for free. On June 20, a technician and service manager came, and we saw bubbles when the technician applied his bubble solution. They said it wasn't a leak, but we tried a professional bubble test solution and larger bubbles formed. They finally admitted to the leak and replaced the flare-90. But the technician didn't deburr the pipe end after cutting and used an adjustable wrench instead of a torque wrench. After a pressure test, vacuum test, and recharge, we did the bubble test again and bubbles formed. They said it wasn't a leak and left. They didn't keep their promise and now there are two leak points.

They say they can do the job right the first time and be professional and dependable, but my experience was different
They say they can do the job right the first time and be professional and dependable, but my experience was different. The plumber they sent was messy (the putty looked like a kid did it) and the solder joint on the water line started leaking 10 minutes after he left. I had to call them at 8PM and it couldn't be fixed until the next day. If I hadn't caught the leak, it would have damaged my basement more. He didn't seem very experienced and left water on my hardwood floors without wiping it up. Applewood charges more than other plumbers, but the job this guy did was unacceptable. They also bent my water supply line to the swamp cooler, which had nothing to do with the water heater installation. Messy and not trustworthy - all for *** dollars?
This company don't got no reviews - good or bad
This company don't got no reviews - good or bad. Mine's bad. The last few times I had an appointment with Applewood, they always gotta reschedule 'cause someone else is more important than me. Why you always gotta schedule more than you can handle in a day? Someone was supposed to call this morning and leave a message. There was a call, but no message was left. Just a phone number. You know what happens then when no message is left and only a number shows up? That number automatically gets blocked. That ain't good for your company or the person who made the call. Applewood needs training on how to schedule appointments and treat their clients. And their employees need training on how to be professionals and how to treat Applewood's clients.

So, I had a problem with my AC on Sunday and I thought Applewood could help me out. I chatted with them online and asked if they could come to my place. They said yes and I was happy. They called me to schedule the appt. and I gave them all my details. They said they would come between 5-7 pm on Sunday. But then, a few hours before the appt., they called me again and said they couldn't come because I was outside their service area. They gave me the number of the ComplaintsBoard.com and told me to find someone else. What a mess! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They don't even deserve one star.
Applewood fixed my swamp cooler for a few years, but they were pricey
Applewood fixed my swamp cooler for a few years, but they were pricey. In 2021, the tech flooded my attic by accident and didn't realize there was a leak. He left without fixing it and the water caused a lot of damage. It took six weeks to fix and Applewood didn't call me back. I had to keep calling them. The customer service was bad and I couldn't talk to management. I won't use them again and I don't recommend them.
Applewood is the worst company ever
Applewood is the worst company ever. They were at my house from 5:15 pm until 11:30 pm. They replaced 2 parts that didn't fix my air conditioner. They charged me $1193.04. I was told that all of their technicians were fully trained and certified. When I called to talk about the charges, they hung up on me. I'm 77 years old and on a fixed income. Someone named *** said she was the only person I could talk to. They charged me $466.85 for 1 part that their tech said was okay but replaced it anyway. *** said they would reimburse 20%, which is $220.00. I asked to see the certification and training that she claimed the tech had received. *** said she had never been asked for them before. I asked to speak to her manager and was told she didn't have one. She is the only person I could talk to. If the tech was trained, why was he on the phone at least twice before they figured out it was a safety switch that turned off my unit? All they needed to do was reset that switch. The tech said my unit needed to be cleaned. They charged me $428.19 to use my water to hose off the outside of my air conditioner. Thanks for letting me post this review.
We had a problem with our garbage disposal, so we called Applewood Plumbing on 8/24/22
We had a problem with our garbage disposal, so we called Applewood Plumbing on 8/24/22. They came out the next day and gave us a quote to replace it. The technician said it would cost $2,100.00, which was way too much. We didn't accept their offer, but we still had to pay them $29.00 for the quote. We found another plumbing company that did the job for $337.00, which was much more reasonable. We asked Applewood for a refund on the $29.00, but they said no. They said their price was fair because they provide health insurance and have more plumbers than anyone else in CO. We think this is wrong. They shouldn't charge so much just to pay for their employees' health insurance. We hope someone investigates them for this.
