Andersen Windows & Doors review: Service received on 4000 series warranty call

I placed a call to the warranty department on my 4000 series storm door (serial number 0027394355) requesting replacement of my lock kit for a jammed lock and door closing mechanism because the components were lost in our attempt to open the door. The employee interrogated me about why I removed the door closing mechanism when the door lock was jammed and would not unlock. He then commented on how I should have handled the problem. He then said the the closing mechanism would not be covered because we caused the loss of the closing mechanism pieces. At that point, I asked to speak to the manager for better assistance. It was a very unpleasant encounter for what I thought would be an easy replacement request since my 4000 series door carries a lifetime warrantee.
