Andersen Windows & Doors review: Bad estimate, no itemized estimate cost us big time

We recently had two sliding doors installed after finally caving in over a 5 1/2 month wait
Problem statement
We replaced our doors because of underground water issues that we first had completed by JES the new door estimate was to have included a concrete footer so after many back and forth conversations and prior to the installation but after their 3 day contract lock in we asked for a no cost cancellation which was quickly met with a 5400. Cancellation fee which we couldn’t afford to forgo so after we later found out that a concrete footer was not something that they even do we reached out to a concrete contractor and paid 2000.00 for the concrete work so our high priced doors at combined 19000.00 plus another 2000.00 we were let down bing time and yes the door price was a net after 25% discount
The doors and screens have a one hundred year warranty however after reading other warranty complaints just make sure you do your homework before ever signing anything and unless you have contracting skills and clearly know what a clear estimate should be

I would not recommend this company to anyone ever lastly I asked for a 2000.00 reimbursement because of their error and oh yes they strung us along until after installation when we found out that they would consider a 10 % future discount on additional stuff as a consultation. Yup just can’t make this stuff up so hopefully this message gets out and alerts people before anyone else falls in to a trap such as what happened to us
