I'm xling my membership of 30 yrs due to their customer service being outsourced to South Africa. I rarely call but tried SIX times & got no help. When I said having a hard time understanding them, they snapped back, "You understand me perfectly well!" Called back& asked for complaint desk, was told "our complaint desk doesn't take calls!". Winner of the dy when complained to the last one I couldn't understand her...SHE TOLD ME I WAS RACIST (I can't see through the phone) Nastiest people that ever called themselves 'customer service'! I won't pay to be talked to like that! GOODBYE ANCESTRY!

Desired outcome: They are cheap & won't bring jobs back here. Useless. Can't understand them, rude and obnoxious!

I used AI & found this answer as to why someone would call me racist at the South African Ancestry call center! Now everything makes sense. I'm so GLAD I'M CANCELING! READ THIS AI
"To understand the percentage of Black individuals hired at call centers in South Africa, consider the following points:

The employment rate of Black individuals in call centers has been increasing due to affirmative action policies.
As of recent reports, approximately 70-80% of call center employees are Black.
The industry aims to reflect the demographics of the country, promoting diversity and inclusion.
Many call centers prioritize hiring from local communities to enhance job opportunities.
Training programs are often implemented to equip Black candidates with necessary skills.
Ongoing monitoring and reporting are essential to track progress in employment equity."

I'm canceling 30 yr membership because of them! Hadn't called in years but needed help & had to call SIX TIMES & got no help! They are outsourced to South Africa! When I complained, I couldn't understand them, they snapped at me, "You understand me perfectly well!" Really? Then why am I saying that? Called back, asked for the complaint desk & was told their complaint desk doesn't take calls! Last call took the prize! When I said I couldn't understand her she told me 1st that something must be wrong with my hearing...AND SECONDLY, THAT I MUST BE RACIST! (I can't see through the phone nor do I know how a South African black speaks!) Blackstone has bought out Ancestry& is strictly in it for the $. But they won't have mine anymore!
