On august 11, 2022 my husband was airlifted to phoenix due to a diagnosed brain tumor. Medicare paid for the ambulance from the hospital in show low, az and the plane service to phoenix. However when he arrived in phoenix the ambulance service that was waiting was amr (american medical response). They took him to barrow neurological center. (bear in mind he could not walk).

Now we originally received a bill for $1158.15. I appealed this with medicare as the ambulance in show low was covered by medicare. Why was it not covered in phoenix. Medicare requested I get the run sheet from amr, which I did via their form. 3x I requested this information, just in case it was coded incorrectly. Not a peep from them. I appealed several times and each time it was denied with a request for this information. I even requested the information be sent to me directly.. Again ignored. What are they trying to hide? In order to protect ourselves, we have been paying $100 per month on time every month. I refuse to let them take it out of our bank account due to the horror stories we have heard. They have been sending an invoice to us at least 2 to 3 times a week on my email. (this is harassment).

This request to airlift my husband was from his surgeon otherwise I would have driven him the 3.5 hrs myself. He could not walk. I really believe these people are dishonest and rude. They take forever to post the check sent to them and send us past due notices when they can see we pay.

These people should not be in business... Do not use them if you can avoid it

Desired outcome: send the run sheet for that date
