On 6/26/26, I booked a car rental thru AAA. You offered a 25% discount at Hertz if I book through AAA. I booked and got a confirmation # and pick up time. It showed 7 cars available.
I took a 20 mile Uber ride to Hertz only to be told Sorry no cars available. I advised i had made a reservation. They were rude and said 100 other people did the same thing.
I had to locate another rental car at another location and of course had to pay more.
I contacted AAA today to be told to contact Hertz about this. I said AAA makes this offer with Hertz and its not legit. She said it is up to Hertz if they have availability. I wonder how many people book thru AAA and get this type of treatment. If you can confirm that the booking is legit you should not advertise Hertz Car rentals.
Claimed loss: I had to pay $100 extra for another car rental
Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed for the difference that I had to pay out of pocket.I wanted to address this so this doesnt happen to other people. After this experience, I would never book anything through AAA.
