Does not take me long after to conclude that the following Alibaba online agent is nothing but a total pretend & 100%+ fake & a big liar. Their only main concern is almost always to con us to believe that they are trying so hard to help & side with us so that they will get a 5 star rating from us after for themselves.

Apparently, this is all very crucial for these people based on my multiple online chats with these REAL human online agents for months instead of their totally useless autobot

This is part of my hour+ long chat with this quite pretentious Alibaba online agent on Dec 5/25:

"can you escalate my case to alibaba because the supplier is not accepting my responses

I will do my best to help you apply for this matter

No matter what requirements you make, I will fully support you within my abilities.

May I obtain your email address?

This method should not work

Because the order is currently in customs. Only after completing customs clearance can it be released

You have already paid the shipping fee when you made the payment. UPS should not continue to charge fees

that. It is very unfair is why I started the refund application immediately after knowing C$30 extra charge, half the price of the phone being delivered

I filed a refund application with Alibaba "supplier"
Guangzhou Fengwangfa Technology Co., Ltd. at 10:47 am EST on Dec 3/25 after their parcel carrier UPS put up & demanded me to pay an extra C$20 or so for their "brokerage" charges/fees after UPS NOT even letting me to pay & clear the $9.45 +HST Government of Canada Customs charges (see my other post at Complaint Board dated Dec 5/25 for lots more details about this UPS unauthorized rip off). All together, UPS is demanding me to pay an extra of C$29.39 which is almost half the price of my purchased item being shipped by UPS!

No response from the supplier regarding my refund application. I sent this message to them 1035 pm on Dec 4/25
"please inform UPS that this order is cancelled & awaiting a full refund. Thank you"

No response still, I sent another message to this supplier at 11:15 am on Dec 5/25
"once again, please tell UPS to STOP delivery & RETURN THIS PHONE TO YOU while I am still awaiting for your response to my refund application. Thanks"

Then I received a "solution" from the supplier at 1145am Dec 5:

Buyer refuses customs clearance, trade term DAP

Then I tried sending back a response around 12 noon Dec 5 multiple times with no success with the Alibaba "Dispute Refund Management" platform. Furthermore, the concerned supplier's messaging platform was also disabled. Later, an Alibaba agent told me the supplier blocked my further contacts or responses all together. I requested Alibaba to intervene after sharing my concerns & complaint details for over an hour chatting with this agent.

The next paragraph is the response I was attempting without success to send back to the supplier's refusal to my refund application when I also found out their blocking my further negotiating/communicating. I was following rules as set out by the Alibaba's own Dispute Refund management system which to me is nothing but a total show & failure. The powerful supplier could one-sidedly block all further negotiations after throwing out a "NO REFUND" order while superficially the "negotiations could have continued for another 27 days 10 hours & 22 minutes as per the count down timer now

"$30 is much too high, almost half the price of this phone. About $20 is charged by UPS, I think it is totally unfair & I am not a frequent buyer from China & an experienced global store like yours should have provided some information about such high extra fees when I place the order.

I repeat my 2 messages I already sent to you, please inform UPS to stop delivery & return this phone to you. I am not prepared to pay extra $30 more & will refuse item delivery

When I pressed the Ask Alibaba.com to mediate button, this message pops out:
"We can't mediate at this time
Alibaba.com is unable to mediate because the reason was selected as the responsibility of the buyer. You can contact the supplier directly to work out a refund solution."

What a superficial, catch 22 dispute refund system at Alibaba.com that DOES NOT WORK AS THE SUPPLIER CONTROLS THE PROCESS & BLOCKS BUYERS NOT TO THEIR LIKING!

UPS does not let me pay the custom charge & demands me to pay what I did not ask for

I finally was able to speak with a Mac person at UPS over the phone for about 10 minutes since 9:58am on Dec 3/25 as a result of an UPS 9:24 am SMS " ...missing details for customer clearance." concerning an item I purchased at Alibaba of China dated Nov 30/25.

I checked my email, opened an UPS new account & called UPS to find out what was this all about. UPS agent Mac did not provide me with any information about the nature of "missing details" or whatever "broker" issue at Canadian Customs.

Then I found emails from UPS:

"Your package cleared customs and is on its way!
From HONG KONG PROFIT FIELDS LOGISTICS COMPANY LIMITED
Get free notifications for UPS packages coming to your home... " 958am Dec 3/25

"All import fees must be paid prior to delivery.
Save time - prepay online for your HONG KONG PROFIT FIELDS LOGISTICS COMPANY LIMITED shipment. If import fees are not paid before delivery, an additional surcharge will be applied.

29.39 CAD
Additional charges may have been applied based on recent tariff policy changes." 1029am Dec 3/25

After much efforts, I eventually found the fee breakdown:
Total Due (CAD): CA$22.61

Import Charges
Government Charges: CA$9.45
HST or GST + PST: CA$9.45
UPS Customs Brokerage Charges: CA$13.16
Brokerage Fee: CA$11.65
Brokerage GST/HST: CA$1.51

I was never given relevant information or explanation about why I was not given the opportunity by UPS to pay this "government charges of $9.45 +HST myself. Nothing when I was checking UPS emails, speaking to this Mac UPS agent or through my just opened UPS account.

Without my consent or authorization, UPS charges me 2X more than the Government of Canada Customs as "brokerage" related charges & fees. Personally, I regard this totally unjustified & obscured

It gives me a strong rip off feeling that , in this case, UPS was dictating over the "brokerage" situation, not allowing me the chance to pay & clear customs myself, & demanding me to pay their unjustified "brokerage" charges & fees!

I am including the rest of my hour-long online chat with a nothing but totally fake & hugely pretentious Alibaba online agent on Dec 5/25 concerning a dictator supplier on their platform who rejected my refund application as soon as I found out their UPS parcel carrier charged me C$20 extra for brokerage charges & fess that I did not asked for & UPS did not even try to let me pay the customs charge myself! (see also my post from a week ago on Alibaba for the first half of this long pretentious chat)

After over 3 weeks of anxious waiting for a laptop that I had paid for fully on Nov 30/25, I eventually received a worthless thing & I sent the following message to the AliExpress seller. Then I noticed this seller, or store, is closed.

It took this "seller" 10 days to ship, another 10 days or so no movement at all with this order delivery.

Although I had lots of struggling & consideration before finally placing this order as I trusted (so very wrong of me) AliExpress would take full responsibility & accountability if anything went wrong ( more total wrong assumption of me!)

I had similar online cheat experience a few years back with Walmart Canada for a C$20 Dell laptop & it caused me so much hassles & tons of time as I used my personal credit card on this supposedly deal of the year scam.

I trusted totally wrong with both Walmart Canada & AliExpress. Only that after the very scary experience with the online scam with Walmart Canada, I stop using my own credit card for any online orders but virtual credit cards only or no deals.

"I received a small package finally & IT IS NOT A LAPTOP COMPUTER AT ALL but a 8 x 6.5 inches small pack that I have not opened. It feels like a hard thin sponge
