On or about 5-1-2025 I brought my 20014 Chevy Silverado to Aamco located at 4730 GA Highway 20 Sugar Hill GA 30518. After evaluating the truck, they determined it needed a new transmission. The milage at that time was 178,923 (INVOICE I140640)
I had to rent a car for over a week at my own cost.
The total cost was $7,323.39 and after my warranty, I paid $2,857.77 out of pocket.
On 7-19-2025 while in Zanesville OH, I started having transmission issues again and took it to Aamco located at 765 Linden Avenue Zanesville OH 4370. After evaluating the truck that shop determined the transmission needed to be replaced again. The milage at that time was 184,679. (INVOICE J151700)
I had to rent another car for over a week.
After getting my truck back and driving it less than 24 hours, the new transmission was doing the same thing. I called Aamco Customer Complaint and spoke with Jacqueline. She contacted the shop, and I took the truck back. That shop replaced the transmission system for a third time, and I had to rent another car to get to and from work.
When I picked the truck up and drove it, the transmission had a Squawk and shutter. I contacted the shop and he had me bring it by and had his tech put 2 tubes of Lube Gard Instant Shudder Fix and said to see how that works.
On or about November 4th, 2025, I started having issues with the transmission yet again, I contact J Jacqueline at Customer Complaints, and she suggested that I reach out to Mike from the Sugar Hill location since they were the original shop that charged to initially repair the truck.
I was directed to take the truck to the nearest Aamco which is located at 126 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville KY 40207 (62-Miles and an hour and 17 minutes from my home). I dropped the truck off on Monday November 10th, 20025 and the manager Jeff stated that they would not be able to look at it until Tuesday morning. On Wednesday November 12, after not hearing from Jeff, I called and ask the status of the truck. He stated a claim had been filed and he was waiting to hear back from the asdjuster.
I called Jeff today to see how long I would be without my truck and he sated that a transmission had not been shipped the adjuster wanted more information to decide how to proceed.
I am a Traveling Construction Superintendent and need my truck for work. I have been without it 4 times now and had to either ride.
I need to know what is going to be done to resolve this issue before end of day today or I will be hiring an attorney to file suit over the matter.
The alternative is to refund the entire $7,323.39 so I can take the ruck somewhere else to have it repaired properly
Recommendation: Don't go to AAMco
