Brake Masters Headlight installed

Went to Brake Masters to have a headlight installed. They installed it correctly but charged me $150.00... I just thought they were expensive. I trusted them. Needed another one changed, and brakes inspected. They did everything but install the light. They said none in stock. Good thing... because I had waited 2 hours already. Went to Walmart, their best head light was only $25.00, and they charged me $10.00 to install... Total was $47.00. I stopped by brake Master's to ensure I had the price quote correct and was advised to have the lights installed It would be $250.00. $250.00? I been doing business with them for several years but after this experience. I will never do business with them again.

Brake Masters Missing parts from my Truck

Took my Truck there for service and now my engine cover is missing. The location Brake Maters #131 closed so they tell me there is nothing they can do. Wrong way to deal with customers service. Because my service was 6/16/22 Tim from customer service said it was too long ago for them to do anything. Well my Truck doesn't need a oil change but every 10 thousand miles. Haven't driven that far yet.

Desired outcome: Replacement of my engine cover.

Brake Masters lack of service

Do not waste ur tijme and money at Brake Masters. They are Masters at Breaking things and causing more problems. If you bring a coupon for services that they honor they will "find" other ways to make money off of u and they do not fully honor coupon services. They are masters at telling you the problems that ur car has but they do not work with you and be honest and actually show u the problem. Do not leave ur vehicle unattended with them either. ANy "extra" time they have turns into extra problems or things missing by the customer. They charge u at least double the price for parts so they can keep supplying those Brake Master key chains and black uncomfortable chairs and unclean bathroom. WHere do these people go to school?

Brake Masters Kicks butt!!

I have been a customer at Brake Masters for years. I really love the service I get when I go there. The one I go to is in Tempe Arizona. I only talk to one guy there. His name is Cody. He is an amazing and incredibly honest employee. Whenever there is something more than just an oil change that needs to be done with my car he will tell me honestly, tell me when I should have it fixed and what it would cost me. He never tries to get me to buy that repair right then if it isn't warranted. He ALWAYS gives me options. He is so knowledgeable that I trust him and only speak to him when I go in. Especially considering that the other manager is not as friendly and definitely pushy.

I am not sure what the mechanic's name is that actually does the work on my car, but he is a quite shorter guy. Looks like he may be Asian. He does an amazing job and I have never had any complaints. He gets my car in and out in remarkable time.

Thank you Cody and Brake Masters!

Went to Brake Masters for an oil change. The manager asked me if I would like a Tire Rotation and I said sure why not? They rotated my tires and changed the oil. When I went back 3 months later for another oil change they wanted to check my brakes, but couldn't get the rims off, they needed the key for the lug nuts. I told them that the key should be there. I don't mess with anything on my car and that they were the first and last people to rotate my tires. The Manager(a new one), looked up my record and it didn't state that they had rotated the tires, and there was nothing that he was going to do and that I could go to Discount to buy new ones. I contacted their corporate headquarters and all they said was that if I went and bought new lugs that they could install them. I wouldn't need new lugs if they hadn't lost or stolen my lug key! I asked the manager to see if they had one in their shop. He NEVER got back to me. Do not use Break Masters, they have NO customer service and are thieves!

Brake Masters sabotage

I took my van in to fix the front brakes which were completely worn. I expected to pay 79.95 (because of a special offer that was advertised) but paid $214.94. When the service was complete and I drove away I immediately heard some noises that weren't there before I took it there. I have family members who warned against taking my vehicle there because they sabotaged their vehicles resulting in very expensive repairs. Brake masters wanted me to pay $500.00 in repairs. I just couldn't do it. I didn't have the money. I barely had enough to pay for todays service. Now something is wrong with my steering rod. This problem was non existent before I took my van to Brake Masters. I have kids that I transport everyday in this vehicle. If anything happens while we are driving we could all get so hurt. Maybe even die. My children are not white but they live and breathe. This kind of sick ignorance does not have to be felt by racist pigs who decide to endanger lives of innocent people because their mom didn't have the money to boost their sales on Veterans Day.

This one is a tough one because at the end, the manager and owner (John and Dwayne at #195) were awesome, but the communication they had with me and their mechanics never seemed to jive. I was serviced for the ‘pulsating’ in my breaks. My initial complaint. I told them I was pretty sure it was the front breaks. 300 bucks later, my breaks were still pulsating BUT I had brand new rear brakes. Hmm. I was offered $25 off my next visit to finally get rid of the initial pulsating problem. I was quoted over 150 bucks more to spend. The owner said he really tried. I guess I believe him. Really nice guy. The story they gave me was that the mechanic who had worked on my car was fired the next day. Hmm. He also told me that his hands were tied because of "Brake Master's policies". I believe him. But I still don't get it. Where does the slogan, "An Honest Brake" kick in?

Brake Masters Outrageous service!

I dropped my car off at Brake Masters at Oracle and Ina in Tucson Arizona to have my front brakes checked. My parents have done business with them for years, I have spent at least $600 with them and my friend does business with this very location of Brake Masters. I wrongly assumed that they were reliable and trustworthy.

They quoted me $560+ in repairs for my front brakes. I couldn't believe it. I wrote down a full page of details of things they said were wrong with my brakes. I could barely explain all the confusing things they said to my friend who is a truck driver. He assured me they were crooks and took my car to a local repair shop.

The honest mechanics repaired my front brakes with top of the line stuff for a total of $148 dollars and that is including tax and everything. Brake Masters at Oracle and Ina in Tucson AZ was going to rip me off for $400. What a joke. I paid them about $600 a few months ago for things and never double checked the work they did and was very suspicious that they ripped me off. Now I know for sure.

I am telling everyone I know that they are crooks. Stay away from Brake Masters. They just pick the best location and take advantage of people who are not experts at car repair. Who knows how much money they have scammed from my family over the years. It hurts just to think about it.

Here is one more detail that proves to me they are ripping people off. While I was talking to the Brake Master guys my truck driver friend was sitting right next to me. I wrote down everything the mechanic told me needed to be fixed and at the end I told him I needed to explain this all to my truck driver friend and get back to him.

The mechanic must have been sweating bullets, because anybody with basic vehicle knowledge would clearly see through his price and quotes. If the mechanic had any integrity he would have told the truth right then and there. I myself have changed my front brakes in the past for less than $70 bucks. I assume the labor costs should be $70 which means it should only cost $140 for everything + maybe $15 in taxes. That's what I paid at the local honest mechanics shop. If it weren't for my truck driver buddy, I guess I would have figured it out myself and man am I glad I did. Tell all your friends to avoid that place.

Don't go to Brake Masters! The mechanics at the Fontana, Ca location are the most unscrupulous bunch of a**holes I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Long story short, I was conned into paying more than 400 dollars for a job that I now know could have been under 200 had I gone to a much more honest mechanic. Please, save yourself the hassle, and your hard earned dollar by choosing not to go to Brake Masters

I think brake masters is the worst company on the planet! just recently i took my car in to them to do a fluids change on my 2002 passat everything went fine and i drove the car for about 4000 miles then srarted having tranny problems so not knowing what it was i took it to a volkswagon shop when they inspected the transmission they found that it was 3 quarts low on fluid and thats when i put it all together. the repairs will cost 5000 dollers for a new transmission andwhen i presented that information to the owner he blew it off and basically said not my problem. upon further investigation the volkswagon shop told me that a special machine is needed to change my fluid due to the fact that it is an enclosed transmission .brake masters does not have this machine and did it using their own negligent methods.now im out a car or 5000 dollars because they wont man up. I will never go there again an i hope no one else ever has to deal with them.
