1StopBedrooms review: Mixed Experience with 1StopBedrooms: Honest Review of Furniture Purchase

I recently had an experience with 1StopBedrooms and wanted to share my thoughts. I've seen a lot of fake reviews out there, so I thought it was important to leave an honest one. Overall, my experience was decent, but I don't think I would use them again.

Let's start with the good. I received my order within the timeframe that was given to me when I placed it. It took about a month and four days, which I found acceptable. I also appreciated the regular email updates I received from 1StopBedrooms regarding the status of my order. When the delivery guys arrived, they were great and we received exactly what we ordered.

Now, onto the bad/weird. The day after I placed my order, I received an email stating that they needed to "verify my address" and left a number for me to call. When I called, I was told that they were going to charge the sales tax to my card. I don't understand why this couldn't have been done during checkout, and the man on the phone was very pushy about a furniture warranty that I didn't want. It took a few minutes of back and forth before he finally accepted that I wasn't interested. It was frustrating to have to explain myself so much.

About three weeks after I placed my order, I received an email stating that my order was at the local delivery terminal and that someone would call me within 5-7 days to set up delivery. However, I waited nine days and never heard anything. When I called 1StopBedrooms, I had to wait on hold for about 10 minutes before speaking to someone who wasn't overly friendly. I explained the situation, and he called over to the delivery people. After a few minutes, he connected us and I was able to schedule the delivery. However, it was strange that nobody had called me to schedule the delivery after it had been sitting in the warehouse for over a week. If I hadn't called, I might have missed the delivery window and had to wait even longer for my couch. Additionally, I emailed 1StopBedrooms a couple of weeks ago and never received a response, which made me feel uneasy about my purchase.

Overall, my experience wasn't terrible, but I don't think I would use 1StopBedrooms again. While I did receive what I ordered, I think they need to change how they do business. They should let customers know the amount of taxes that need to be paid during checkout, communicate better with customers, answer emails, and be friendlier on the phone. It's not that difficult to do these things, and it would make the customer experience much better. In the future, I would rather spend a bit extra and go with a local company or a company that I know and trust.
