1StopBedrooms review: Disappointing Experience with 1StopBedrooms: Delayed Shipment, Damaged Item, and Misleading Information

I recently purchased a 5-piece living room set from 1StopBedrooms in August 2022. The website stated that the delivery time frame would be 2-3 weeks, which was perfect as I was expecting the items to arrive at the beginning of September 2022. However, I was disappointed to receive an email every 3 weeks from 1StopBedrooms, informing me that the shipment had been postponed. This happened a total of 7 times, and I finally received the items on January 24, 2023.

To my dismay, one of the chairs in the set had major damages and was structured wrongly, with the base frame not fitting into the up frame. I immediately contacted 1StopBedrooms to request a return, but they informed me that I would have to pay $286.5 for the return, which included a $75 restocking fee and a $211.5 shipping fee (calculated at $2.25 per pound for the 94-pound chair). Alternatively, they offered to send someone to repair the chair, but it was impossible to repair due to the major damages.

I was frustrated with 1StopBedrooms' policy, which stated that they would resolve the issue by replacing, refunding, or repairing the item as warranted, at their discretion. Despite the fact that they had postponed the shipment 7 times, with every delay being 3 weeks long, they refused to issue a refund without me paying the return fee.

Furthermore, I was misled by the sales representative at the time of purchase. He had assured me that the delivery would be an "In Home Drop Off -- Scheduled delivery to the immediate entryway inside your home." However, when I reported the damaged item to the phone number provided by the driver, the drivers took two pictures of the furniture in my living room and signed off on the delivery without waiting for me to open all 5 items to check for damages. When I reported the damage to 1StopBedroom 1 hour after the delivery, they accused me of causing the damage when I moved the item from outside to inside the house. This was not true, as the driver had delivered the item directly to my living room, and I had not moved it from its original spot due to its weight of 100lbs and my age of 67 years old with major low back spine issues.

1StopBedrooms' policy stated that they would take issue reports within 24 hours and resolve the issue by replacing, refunding, or repairing the item as warranted. However, they failed to honor their policy and instead accused me of causing the damage.

To add insult to injury, 1StopBedrooms charged me $99 for delivery, despite their website stating that delivery was free. The sales representative had informed me that my house was located in a remote area, but when I checked their remote location area, it stated that my location was not remote.

Overall, my experience with 1StopBedrooms was disappointing. The delays in shipment, the damaged item, the refusal to issue a refund without a return fee, and the misleading information provided by the sales representative all contributed to a negative experience. I would not recommend 1StopBedrooms to anyone looking to purchase furniture online.
